New 555 Sardines commercial

Just saw it today, and it had (of all people), Judy Ann Santos in it! :rolleyes:

The scenario is that Juday is a passenger in an (apparently) international flight in transit. (Since she sat beside an American guy and across the aisle was a Japanese couple). It was time to eat, so the flight attendant was asking the passengers what food they wanted from the menu.

Get this, Juday orders "just plain rice", and from her purse, she pulls out a can of 555 sardines! :laugh: And in the next shot, the can is "miraculously opened", and she pours the sardines over her plain rice! :confused:

This commercial just defies logic! :rolleyes:

I am not a Judy Ann fan (or a Jolina fan)
But i think the ad is cute, at least it was able to get your attention.
Neweis, what's wrong with commercials defying logic? There are a lot of ads which are really exaggerated and even illogical. Zhang Zhi-Yi's VISA commercial for one is exaggerated. But it was what made it win the Clio Awards. Correct me if I am wrong, but i read somewhere that BBDO is the one who made it, the same agency which did the present 555 Sardines commercial, as someone claimed.

Masarap naman ah...it's the commercial that we do not like. At, kahit hindi si Judy Ann ang nandun, I would still hate it. Masyadong unbelievable e. Naghanap na lang sana sila ng ibang location. Actually, hindi nga "nahulog ang IQ" ko. Ginamit ko nga e. Bringing a can of sardines and opening it inside a "flying" airplane are strictly prohibited. Para tuloy mahilig maglabag ang mga Pilipino ng mga rules...yun ang dating sa akin. Pano niya napuslit yun? Think about it.

Of course, kumakain kami ng sardinas, its not the act of eating it that is being an issue here...its the commercial per se.

you know, commecial is good as long as it is remembered by the viewer no matter how bad is its, it still good. sabi nga ng sis ko, well she work in the commercial company, di na masyadong usapin dito ang galing mong umarte o kung sino ang artist basta it can catch the viewer's attention okey yun.but i know na its true na may big impact sa commercial na ang product indorser ay sikat. yung commecial ni judy okey kasi na catch niya ang attention nyo e, iba-iba nga lang nga dating. that serve the purpose. ;)

yeah..this country is full of hypocrites..maybe they are wondering why juday, a plain faced girl, could snatch multi-million pesos endorsements. it was so narrowminded to say na they don't like the commercial because judy ann is in it. sino ang gusto nila , si kristine hermosa? she was trusted to endorse 555 because she has the selling power to do so. doing ads needs a lot of strategizing and thinking and i think judy ann santos is believable enough to endorse a product like 555. who eats sardines everyday? the masang pinoy. judy ann is pang-masa and bbdo thought why not hire her?

back in college in la salle, i would encounter girls who abhor judy ann because she's baduy and plain looking but they never dared to check themselves on the mirror and analyze their appearances . do you guys still remember those ugly ,cigarette smoking biitche!s roaming around your campuses? they are the typical judy ann haters.

i'm not a judy ann fan but i'm starting to like her. given the right project and good managerial directions, she could surpass sharon and nora. if i could still recall, her Mega cover appearance is still the best selling issue ever...now who'se baduy?

Well the commercial serves its purpose to catch the viewers attention ... now you remeber 555 sardines right.

Two things are considered in making a commercial :

1) The concept should be attractive to the viwers ...it should grab their attention .

2) The stars in the commercial is popular...this is preffered.
Specially kung may budget.

Actually commercials should not be placed in the box of total reality...kaya imaginative pipol ang nageexcell sa field na yan eh. Come to think of it seeing a person eating sardines in a plane is really out of this world ...funny ...kaya ayun may impact agad at narerecall na ng tao. Kung ginawa kaya yan sa loob ng bahay o kaya sa kusina matatandaan mo ba agad? Thats too common di ba? ...commercial are made to promote and also entertain pipol ... !

As for Judy Ann well kanya -kanyang market yan abcde... or watever. But we cannot deny the fact that marami ang nakakakilala sa kanya ...well more to that pangmasa ika nga. Tulad ni sharon, nora, regine at aga. I think she is bankable in her right coz she have her own followers ...among the stars now she is the busiest I think. Well parang ang daming pelikula nya tapos halos araw araw mo syang nakikita sa TV... well it proves na ***** naman kumikita ang kumukuha sa kanya. ***** nga not as big as her other hit movies yung iba but the fact na kumita okay na yun ...
