i read it on IMDb...kasi maglalaban yung movies nilang dalawa which are SUM OF ALL FEARS (Ben) and THE BOURNE IDENTITY (Matt)...tapos Ben Affleck called Matt's movie "fluffy garbage" daw...tapos Matt's cameo from SUM OF ALL FEARS (as a waiter) was cut na rin daw...

I don't believe this. Ang tagal na ng friendship nila para lang mag-away dahil sa movies. Besides hindi magkalaban movies nila. Minove yung Bourne Identity.

Matt Damon's movie THE BOURNE IDENTITY opens this Friday, June 14. Currently, Ben Affleck's THE SUM OF ALL FEARS is the number one movie for two weeks now. Hopefully, by next week, Matt's movie will be #1.

By the way, I don't believe that these two will break up their friendship just because their movies are competing at the boxoffice office. Although if I were Matt Damon, I might be a bit envious of Ben. Ben Affleck was able to establish himself as an action star with big movies like Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, Changing Lanes and the latest The Sum of All Fears. All his movies are hits while Matt Damon's All The Pretty Horses and The Legend of Bagger Vance are not. Matt Damon maybe an Oscar nominee for The Talented Mr. Ripley but Ben Affleck is now the bigger star when you consider boxoffice drawing power.

theres a three week gap between bens movie and matts movie, and besides, i think thats a pretty dumb reason to ruin a good friendship.

this rumor is definitely not true, since both matt and ben were present on the mtv movie awards, and i saw shots of both of them chatting backstage. i also saw on ET that they are scouting for scripts for a project that they can produce together.

i agree that it's a stupid reason to ruin a friendship...and besides, those two guys always make fun of each other and each other's movies naman right? remember Ben mocking Talented Mr. Ripley on Leno? and the Ben and Matt banter in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back about how stupid each other's movies were?! ***** na mis-quote lang si Ben dun sa "fluffy garbage" comment...

tama ka nga, i guess ben and matt are just really so close that they just diss each other like that. i remember watching will and grace a couple of months ago, when matt guested as a gay friend of jack, and he went something like "ive been going out with my boyfriend since i was in highschool". jacks like "whats his name" and matts like "ben!!!" :glee:
