Thanks nix for the info, but what I could only think of is that this is another gimik, that is, only the items that are not really saleable or likeable (old ones on stock) are the ones that are guaranteed to have big discounts. This has been (usually) the case of the Philippine retail setting.

I haven't checked it out myself, but what you say is probably true. Still, there may be some bargains there for items you may like.
