View Full Version : What company would you like to work for?
nobody

My own so all effort I put into it will not be in danger of being "stolen" by a credit-grabbing higher-up. :(
I couldn't agree with you more that being your own boss is the same, but not for the same reason. Just imagine what could be accomplished if you worked not to gain recognition, but to build something of worth.

There are other PBA teams representing their own parent companies. Why Shell?

I agree, nobody & nix...nothing could be better than being your own boss :)
I'd love to have my own restaurant, bar, or cafe! I even have concepts planned out :)
Pero for starters, kung kunyari wala pa akong enough na pondo, I'd like to work for Pilipinas Shell...para may free tickets sa PBA games! :)

eboy: Kasi Shell's my favorite team, eh! :) Partly because my uncle works there na din...kaya I get enough PBA freebies as it is. Pero he's close to retirement, so kailangan may fallback ako! Gusto ko na nga gawing chum si Jun Bernardino, eh! :)
Also, parang ang fun-fun don, lalo na pag company parties. Ang sarap pa ng food sa planta! Tsaka iba na din if you work for an MNC, diba?
I'd also LOVE to work for the PBA...as in that's my idea of heaven talaga. I also love to write...sarap siguro maging sports journalist. My dad's a sports journalist, & he gets sent to different countries all over the world...Sarap non!!! He also gets to meet a lot of sports personalities. Imagine, he actually got to meet Mika Hakkinen, Michael Schumacher, and the other F1 drivers! DAYA!!!
I really love watching sports...mapa-bball, mapa-tennis, mapa-F1, mapa-wrestling...I'd love to have my own sports magazine.
*Nako, naging "what are my ambitions" na yung sagot ko! :)

i hope to be a back-up singer of Egay Gonzales' band. if u think it's cheapipay, para sa akin, this is what i really wanted.
am a fine arts advertising junior, pero i wouldnt wana stay in this field, i would wana try fashion, or photography. we are currently taking these subjects din kasi as a part of my course. i could branch out naman e.
3 companies that would be great to work for:
1. Children's Television Workshop
2. Disneyland, Inc.
3. PAL as a company physician- Wow, all those free trips for me and my family!!! Upgraded ka pa palagi to Mabuhay Class. :)

that's true Ira, my bro's a PAL employee. libre trips (75% discount na lang pala kasi may asawa na sya, dati 100%), saya talaga. taking advantage ako palagi.
nobody, nix and xiaoyu are right dahil iba talaga kung sarili mo ang sinusunod mo hindi 'yung iba.
The only thing that worries me about PAL is their stability. I'm not sure anymore what happened to them since the strike last year. What's up with them na nga ba?

Xiayou: I worked with PSPC last summer, and I had so much fun in our department. They have this pre-grad eveluation thing for graduating seniors-- the shell team try-outs. it's similar to unilever's business week in that if they like you, they'll hire you. you might want to check the hr department cause i know they've started with the first round of interviews.
As an end-note though, sobrang hard-working yung mga tao dun! I don't think the building is ever empty. Even if you're tired or not too ganado, you'll feel pressured to enslaven yourself to the work because everyone else is.
Well, GOOD LUCK!

I think that Lucasarts would be a great company to work for. George Lucas established company headquarters in his very own ranch (called Lucas Ranch) and you can imagine how relaxing the atmosphere must be there. The people even go to work in shorts!

After the "dot com" crash, my dream startup would be more on the hard core tech stuff. But even these stuf, like optical communications, is on a slump. I don't have the background for Biotech, either.
Well, maybe I'd like to work at something totally different from what I'm doing now. Stay away from tech! That would be a change.

Biotech isn't that different, my friend. :) Noisy Cricket and I visited a number of biotech companies and toured their facilities in Silicon Valley. Most of them are just like regular "chip" companies. They manufacture chips. It's just that the components of the chip are meant to help biotech companies study microarrays of DNA, but that's really just a matter of engineering processes and coming up with a mass production assembly to put together key components and make new "biotech" chips. Very similar to a hardware type company. I'm sure you'd do great! :D

The PEx employees are Ayala Corp, so they can tell you about it.
As for biotech - well I was of the thinking that I needed microbiology or related degress. Anyway, I don't know how well I would do there since I have had no real experience in designing software or firmware.

Square Soft... Japan, Honolulu, or LA!:D
Maybe as a graphics designer or a character/world/mecha/monster designer... and maybe eventually reach up to production director level jobs like Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy). :D
I've always admired the games that have come from Square Soft and even their worse games are mediocre at the worse and can still be much better than the best games from other companies. The stories that they create are always moving in my opinion and they're considered to be one of the top game development companies in the world. They're even bringing out a computer generated movie this summer based on the Final Fantasy name... Final Fantasy The Spirits Within! Can't wait for that one! :D
Personally, I'd love to work in animation or the like, but the interactivity of videogames stretches the possibilities of creativity and depth... animation is a part of it and you've got a bonus with it! I like it... I like it a lot! :D

1) Sony Comuputer Entertainment Corp ( US, Japan, Europe, whatever) - sarap siguro taga test lang ng games:D
and in the same manner, Squaresoft (due top Final Fantasy) and Polyphony Digital ( it would be great to work on development of GT3, testing the cars:D):glee:
and syempre my dream job would be to work at Ferrari, F1 or sports car division nila:D, as a test driver if I had Schumacher like driving skills :glee:

just like aticus said, I'd rather work for my own company. But considering, I don't have one, I'd have to settle with working for any AIRLINE company. best perk: FLY FREE! :)

I'd like to work for my own company. Mahirap kasi i-change ang work culture sa isang established na company unless you're up there in the hierarchy.
If I have my own company, I can "infect" the work culture right at the very beginning para hindi mahirap i-change ang sistema at ang mga tao.
