if you're earning 12K as a programmer but you're bored to death with your work, would you accept the offer to work as a Technical Support Engineer at Sykes? please help me...i need your professional opinion!

Only you can decide what you would rather be, miles_away.
But if this opportunity at Sykes is being offered to you, I think it is only fair if you talked to the people at Sykes who are actually working there. Of course you should ask permission from the people in charge. If they won't let you, then I would wonder why.

Think of it this way: going to Sykes is very similar to going back to school. Everyday, you do the same thing over and over again. What makes it worthwhile to go to work e masayang kasama ang mga tao sa Sykes.
alaine26 is right. You can always go back to programming if you like. You're in a win-win situation!

yup... they're both right... a job you can always quit if you're not satisfied... don't think too much... people say it's hard to find a job... sez who? for you i mean... the whole world is clamoring for programmers what with the tech boom and all... you're in a position to be bored as a programmer or to try something new. who knows? you might like it... :D i know i do.

the solution to your problem is relatively simple....if you are bored, then it means you're not enjoying what you do. Ok, then try something different.
Everyone in this thread is right!
Change is what makes our lives exciting. Even if you go back to programming, or decide to stay a TSE, or even try another type of work after, change is always there.
What's important is that you enjoy what you do. And...smile.
