i want to become a deejay (or even a radio newscaster) and get into that radio production ish, but i dunno where to start. i dunno the right people and i dunno where these FM radio stations are at. and another problem is i live far south, down in the paranaque area. so it wouldn't be practical really to work for a station in novaliches. i was thinkin more of makati or pasig stations.

is there anybody here who can hook me up even with just addresses or contact numbers of FM stations? help me make my dream come true!! tee hee :D

Hi there, candyrain!

I was a DJ for about a year on a minor station before I decided to call it quits. DJing is not that easy a job, trust me, and a lot of people fall on the wayside before they even get close to securing a regular job with them.

However, if you're still cool with that, here are the contact numbers (http://www.pinoycentral.com/img/ERadioStation.nsf/MUSIC_RadioTuner_MF?readform) of most radio stations in Metro Manila.

Good luck!

Mister Dean knows what he's talking about. What you could do is prepare demo tapes of yourself (read a news article, intro a song)so that you can just drop them off at the radio station with your resume. It would be best if you keep your ears peeled for those DJ searches of the stations...they're sure to have some opeings here and there. Just make sure that the job you get only involves board work or else you could get underpaid by doing production or desk work...good luck!

they say never to rely on the salary of a deejay. kami ng best friends ko dream of becoming deejays someday, pero pang-dagdag lang sa salary. don't EVER rely on the salary kasi it's not that a stable job.
