Question lang sa mga nakakaalam...
what if may regular employee ka na hindi ka nakameet ng quota? (telemarketer)
1. is it unethical to fire him?
2. what punishment is fair for both of us, assuming i'm the employer?

hi! for me, you first have to weigh a number of things before deciding to fire him:
1) how long has been working for you?
2) on the length of his stay, how many times has he reached his quota?
3) how many times has he failed to make his quota?
4) is he your only telemarketer? if no, how are the others performing?
5) is he targetting the right market?
6) etc..sorry, no time to write all.
i believe you first have to review above items plus weigh what are the possible causes why he's not doing as expected. is it because of the market he's selling to is not the proper market? does he have the right training for the job? is he knowledgable of the products he's selling? are you helping him to learn and grow?
yun lang. siguro try mo muna tulungan and i-guide then kung di pa rin mag-improve then that's the time to think twice. pero kung ngayon pa lang eh may attitude problem na, na sa tingin mo eh di lang talaga efficient, then wag mo na patagalin.

regular na po sha meaning 6 months na sha samin. dati rati nung on prob pa sha, nakaka quota naman. ngayon feeling namen kasi tinatamad na porket d na pwedeng tanggalin. iniiisip lang namen na baka kasi umaabuso kaya ganun :(
marami kaming ibang telemarketer pero ok naman.
iniisp ko lang kung may grounds ba kami na ifire sha or kung anong pwedeng punishment...

hmm ... have you brought this problem to your HR dept.? do you have regular performance reviews?
you have to let an employee know that he is performing below what is expected of him. you can't assume that tinatamad na sya because he's a regular employee already. and you can't fire an employee just because he didn't hit the quota on his 7th month with the company.
discuss it with him, find out exactly why he's not meeting his quota. let him know that you're watching him, and make it official: give him a memo.

puwede tanggalin pero meron yata separation pay... you can check with labor laws.

sa pinagworkan ko date, nag iisue sila ng memo.
every month 1 memo kapag di naka quota.
pag 3 consecutive pinaaalis na.
syempre kinokonsider din nila depende sa benta ng
iba. kung *** lang ang ganun, sya na may diperensya.
kahit reg. or hindi kase nasa handbook naman namin
yun e.
set mo na guidelines nyo then i-issue mo na or i-out
mo na sa co. then implement. mahirap na, baka
sabihin nya inimplement mo wala naman sa handbook nyo.
