I can't help comparing Tado to the late Rene Requiestas. And I'm glad ABS has made him a pseudo-mainstay of "Okay Fine Whatever". If the network gave him good breaks, he will be the next big star.

I do not think there will be a BIG star in the near future. I'm talking about local artists. If you mean in the league of VILMA, NORA, SHARON, MARICEL, JUDYANN...........


There are a lot of factors why no artist now a days will make it BIG (i mean real big in the true sense of the word)

1) tHERE ARE JUST TOO MANY OF THEM.

2)The T.V stations are now themselves handling the stars. They will never allow for a star to be really really BIG. They know that the bigger the star becomes, the higher they will have to pay them. And with globalization, they just can't afford to do so.

3) The so called "STAR SYSTEM " is not working as it used to. Even if you have a BIG STAR, the script and storyline has a lot to do with the success of a movie.

4) IN the days of the BIG STARS, ther wa no cable T.V, Internet.DVD'S, C.D'S, and other means of Entertainment. People have so many choices, that their span of attention for one person or thing has become shorter.

5) The most Important I think is that these so called STARS nowadays are forced down upon us by TALENT managers, the T.V stations talent center and the MEDIA, thru BIG PROMOTIONS. IT'S like too much MEDIA EXPOSURE for so little talent. The main objective is to SELL, SELL and SELL.

gusto ko lang malaman kung sino yung mga artistang pwede nyong sabihing, "sisikat tong batang toh balang araw." at baka balang araw nga, eh magsitotoo ang mga hula nyo.

these are just sole assumptions. the actors may or may not become BIG, but at least we know that once upon a time, we trusted their talents; that we saw potential on them; that we hoped we could say, "sabi na nga ba sisikat yang batang yan eh!" in the future.

take for example: kristine hermosa. honestly, i didnt think she would become this BIG. when i first saw her in Ang TV, i thought she was purely "nge-nge". who would have thought she would have so many die-hard followers now?

but despite the last post, i still believe that there would emerge celebrities who are conspicious among others. after all, they're the ones who would be bringing the big bucks!

I'm not a big fan ha, pero I think Aiza Marquez has the potential to make it big someday. She's a great actress and a beautiful one at that.

Ewan ko, pero sa lahat ng mga young stars ngayon she's the one who stands out. I don't mean that in a way na she'll be the next crush ng bayan or something, rather I mean that she'll reach certain depths that only few stars will ever reach. Yung bang---showbiz at its finest. And daming sikat na teen stars ngayon, pero hanggang diyan lang sila sa kasikatan. When it comes to their craft wala namang maibubuga. It's like their popularity is only superficial. The fans just like them cuz they're hot, pero when it comes to really honing their talent and genuinely touching people's hearts, hindi nila kaya.

yes i do also believe that bea alonzo can be considered as big star at her own right..she already proven.. she already have soaps to call her lead, box-office movies, recently Close To You (said to Star Cinema's biggest, so far)and soon All About Love, and Pacquiao. The girl already been tagged as one of Star Magic Jewel next to claudine and kristine...acting wise, she really acts well..she already earned awards, and lots of nominations both movies and TV.

i think to be considered as next big star yung mga star na still trying or begginer's pa..

MAJA SALVADOR-the girl is very versatile... she WILL really be a big star.. SHE WILL...

GLAIZA DE CASTRO-sayang, binitawan sya ng ABS.. ok lang.. i think she will still be BIG someday..

NASH, SHARLENE, NIKKI, ELIZA, JOHN, ANGEL and other GB kids- ABS has a bright future.. i tell you.. ang GMA kasi wala sila masyadong kids na magpapatuloy...

and also, i believe in the talent of

ERICH GONZALES-only few can be a bida and a kontrabida at the same time and she is definitely one of them.. I SUPER BELIEVE THAT SHE WILL BE BIG.. and she has the talent... SLOWLY BUT SURELY.. :)
