Im having a hard time taking the mrt on rush hours. Sobrang sikip kasi at layo rin ng lalakarin. Theres a jeep from ayala to the mrt station pauwi kaya lang parating puno. I live in qc (libis) how long does it take to go home if i bring a car? kaya ba 1 and a half if i leave the office around 5:40? Do you know of any parking spaces that are safe and reasonably priced? Thanks!

1 1/2 hour is enough for you to get to Makati from Libis. :)
About the parking space...mejo mahal ang parking fees sa Makati. For instance, sa Gabriela Silang..it's P85 whole day (one of the cheapest parking I know in Makati)
Hope this helps...:)

Soulthird: haha! Well, at least libis is not as traffic and overpopulated as Makati. Do you work in Eastwood? I couldnt even find an opening there that im qualified kc puro pang I.T.;) Sa sobrang hirap ng travel it even entered my mind to share a condo with some friends pero super mahal. Wala na matitira sa akin.
Silentmax: Ang daya! 15 bucks! The whole day? Are you for real???!!! PM mo sa akin pls if maybe for some divine intervention you become more compassionate and generous. hehe
:D
Angel02: Where's Gabriela Silang? Thanks for the info! It really helps!:D
gUy: dont worry makakahanap ka rin ng work. Just enjoy your vacation for now and be patient. Once you start working youl wish you were a bum again:)

hodgepodge,
Gabriela Silang is at the corner of Ayala and Makati Ave.
the fee's like hell but if you actually leave at around 2AM, the guards are gone, and it's totally free :)
silentmax,
i've got a parking space, near where i work (Makati Stock Exchange), totally safe (they've got guards armed to the teeth), away from damaging sunlight, and totally free
:D

sabagay... pero leche kse pag wala kotse I take the MRT and traffic lagi dyan sa Cubao. Mas congested talaga dyan sa Makati area. Yup I work at Eastwood... ano ba field mo malay mo may opening... ako din e parang gusto ko apartment pero from where I live it only takes 20-minute drive to get to Libis. (pag madaling araw ha)

When I used to work in Makati, I brought my car everyday kasi I lived in BF QC. The place I parked, charged me P70 per day, it's near Citibank on the street after Valero and before Leviste. Took me about 2 hours from my place to get to Makati and 2 hours from Makati to my place.
It's not a reasonable price to pay for parking but the comfort and safety it gave me was worth splurging on. Besides, after my unfortunate incident with a mugger, I haven't taken public transportation ever since.

I don't want to give you a straight answer. I have a few questions and some suggestions:
1.) Will you be the only one spending for your gas and parking expenses?
2.) Are you assured of a parking spot everyday (meaning will you arrive on time to be able to grab that spot?)
May i suggest that you find carpool mates, you can share the parking fee with them and you have friends in the car to talk for your 2 hour trip.

Leigh: Gas pwede hindi, i can still convince my parents to shoulder it pero parking oo. As for carpool mates, *** ako mahanap as of now kasi bago pa lang ako. Il probably spend around 1800 for parking the whole month  If gas ako, plus 1500 siguro (assuming super tipid ko na, without out of the way stopovers) If ever I park, I dont think Im assured of a parking space but there is one daw where you can buy a monthly prepaid card. So whaddya think?:)
Ice Burn: Really 70 flat per day? Mmmm... pwede na. Il check it out. Thanks!
Soulthird: Syempre 20 mins, madaling araw eh:rolleyes: loko mo naman ako eh:) Im in banking. Okay sana citibank kaya lang walang opening na maganda.
therock: Swerte mo naman! Free, secured parking in a covered space. thanks for the tip but i dont think i wana go home at 2 am to get free parking:D
