i am working for a credit card pre-approval in standard, most of our client already have citibank credit card. how to defeat citibank in terms of credit card sales?

Does having a Citibank card mean those clients will no longer be your customers? Keep in mind that Citibank has been playing the credit card game in this country longer than Standard has, so if they're any good, they're bound to have more customers.

Which makes one think: is the number of cardholders the only measure of success in this business?

I don't know if you are able to set credit policy where you work, but you can always try beating Citibank on finance charges, credit limits, rewards programs, and customer service.

Hint: I am a depositor at both Citibank and Standard. I have credit cards, but none of them are issued by Citibank or Standard. Why is this so?

I have a couple of credit cards and the only reason I got them is because they were both pre-approved. The card was sent to me, and all it required for me to activate it was a phone call. No documents, no ITR, nothing. Maraming tulad ko na tamad mag-apply at mag-pass ng documents. Ang gusto nila ibibigay na lang sa kanila.

The reason I have my other credit card was that beacuse it was included when I bought a hotel package. The same as above, no application forms and no documents.
