I just got caught by one of my Leading Petty Officers kanina lang. Sabi niya "Aha! So, this is what you do huh? Chatting in this... Pinoyexchange."

Of course, I got that "deer-in-a-headlights" look :wow2: Ako din ang may kasalanan eh, I was enjoying my System of a Down CD at a high volume... di ko tuloy siya napansin.

What's my excuse? Ang sabi ko "No! I wasn't chatting! When you say "chatting", it means that you're in a real-time environment...and Pinoyexchange is just a bulletin board...its not a real time thingy! :D"

His reply? "Don't BS me! I might be old, but I still know how this Computer Sh!t goes." Sad thing is, he is damn right!

Aaarrrggghhhh! He caught me red-handed :o Damn, now he'll keep tabs on me for awhile...

How about you PEXers? What'll be your excuse if you got caught PEXing?

Tips on how not to get caught by your BOSS while pexing.

1. The monitor Radiaton filter is also a good tool as mirror.
You can easily view whos behind (Boss).

2. Do the ALT-TAB technique.
(I think most programmers do this) :D

To do this, open an empty notepad docu and maximize its
window pane. Then short size your browsers window and plae it at the bottom (This would not be easily be recognized because your head is slightly covering the browser and the persons view at the back seems that your doin a notepad docu. GETS ! ! !).

Whenever you have a hinch of someone is at your back...With quick reflexes...do the 'ALT-TAB' thing. (Pressing the ALT+tab keys would switch you to another win application. In this case the notepad), or by just clicking on the notepad itself will hide the browser completely and youll be safe from your boss :goon:

3. Most Important thing...BE ALERT!!!!ALWAYS!!!.

any movement, sound at your back could be your boss.

4. and lastly, DO YOUR JOB WELL ! ! !

I always makes good use of alt tab whenever I PEX/work. My LPO was able to sneak in ng hindi ko namalayan, hehe.

Oh yeah, I'm doing my job very well that I don't have stand wtaches while underway and I'm one of the top junior sailors in our department ;) And that's a fact :D

ako rin nakitang nag-PEX dati noong nag-OJT pa ako. buti na lang Lasalyano rin boss ko kaya ok lang. nahuli rin akong nag-fantasy games at nag-download ng MP3 e. hehe... to top it all, i don't have an internet account in that company. i asked for one, but they didn't give it to me. ginamit ko lang 'yung sa kaibigan ko. thank God I had a kind boss back then.

magandang reply? boss astig 'to o, ang dami mo pwedeng maka-share ng ideas dito sa site na 'to, puro Pinoy pa! from sports, showbiz to mga kaweirdohan, pinag-uusapan dito. tingnan nyo boss, eto o, upo kayo... click nyo lang 'to tapos ito...(ok, maybe that's too much)

When I worked in 3M as an intern, my computer had this privacy filter installed in its monitor. Kahit na saang anggulo mo tignan (except pag ikaw ang user, of course) ay di nila makikita yung nasa screen mo. Mukha syang radiation filter but it doubles as a privacy filter. Kahit PeX ako maghapon, ayos lang.:D

Dun sa direct superior ko okay lang, hinde kami pinapakialaman mga interns kung ano ginagawa namin, as long as magawa yung task for the day...
pero one time yung CEO yung nakakita...as in lakas ng loob ko nung dumating sya di ko binababa yung browser, nung pag-alis nya dun sa lugar namin, nakita screen ko sabay hirit ng "bakit nasa pinoyexchange ka?bakit di ka magpost sa forums natin?"
