Do you have outbound programs at Infonxx? how much is the salary? benefits?

ME_TARAY
May 6, 2004, 10:44 AM
pag nag-start ka sa info around 11K, then after 6 mos, 11500, then pag 1 year mo na, 12250. aside from this you have a productivity pay of 2500. i dunno lang if this will change kasi balita ko nga there will be an increase in july. then may incentives din, then there are the usual benefits - SL, VL (na unahan lagi sa slots), tuition reimbursement (may nag-avail ba nito?), medical coverage, transpo allowance (for certain hours lang). well, ito lang natatandaan ko. did i forget anything pa ba?

Pin@tubo
May 6, 2004, 03:24 PM
thanks. btw, u have SL and VL so they are hiring for proby then eventually for regularization? productivity pay is paid monthly?

ME_TARAY
May 6, 2004, 07:55 PM
alam ko ang proby period ngayon is 3 months na lang. i dunno if nagbago na. productivity pay is paid every payday which is every other friday. so, sa prod pay around 1k something ang nakukuha mo every other friday, that is if you meet yung requirement nila sa productivity.

does INFONXX hire TLs frm another callcenter with DA experience? and does that prospective TL need to have been a TL at that other call center or Asst.TLs can be considered for this position as well?

is it worth working with infonxx now? I mean, career-wise, and salary, growth...

hugs
Jun 1, 2004, 02:38 PM
FOR ME, it is worth working at info now if you want to work in a callcenter..in fairness, it pays well, being our work the "easiest" compared to other callcenters (techsupport,telemarketing..)..it's d.a. (directory assistance),you don't have to sell, don't have to memorize "scripts",learn rebuttals (from what i've heard from my friends working in other callcenters)..just find what the callers are looking for, then deliver..growth-as long as you have good attendance, promotion is pretty easy because attendance is a big factor..of course, performance also counts, still, attendance has the bigger percentage..

i've heard some stories of others leaving info for other callcenters coz they want a bigger pay,but they regret their decision leaving info coz their new work is harder..i have to admit "nakakabobo" minsan work namin, but if you're gonna leave, might as well have a day job,a "regular" one, not just transfer to another callcenter..i don't want to leave info yet since i'm more than a year with them now,i want to be promoted before i resign..sayang naman kasi e..un :)

hello guys!

i was interviewed by HR this morning at InfoNXX. can you give me any background about this company. what are the advantage & disadvantages of working here?

since this call center caters on directory assistance, sunod-sunod ba ang queues dito? madugo ba?

LinuxMandrake
Aug 14, 2004, 10:35 PM
ewan ko lang... when we started, hindi naman ganung "kadugo"... but then again, that was two and a half years ago. baka iba na ang style nila dyan... tanong tanong ka lang, baka may taga dun pang sumagot.

toxic ang queue nowadays..ewan ko, but they say we should be happy we're q-ing kasi nga naman, it means more money..pero hirap din nun saming mga csrs ha..bagsak bagsak pa sa productivity kasi sobrang sakit na sa panga chaka lalamunan noh..

but still, i wouldn't leave info without getting promoted..masaya dito (imho) =)

di ba nakakabobong magtrabaho sa infonxx?
imagine directory assistance the whole time.
one call after the other.
boring ....

melrosegirl
Oct 29, 2004, 12:33 AM
boring? depends on how you look at it. nasasa-iyo naman yun.

come to think of it, almost all jobs are routinary. you do the same things day-in, day-out. right?

how many jobs do you know of that would allow you to do something different every single day? the idea of doing something over and over is to help you master your work, learn to improve your skills.

directory assistance may sound boring to you but it involves talking to a different person every 30-40 secs. each call is a challenge for you to find a certain listing in the shortest possible time. each call is different.

however, if you feel its boring or it's "nakakabobo", then maybe infonxx is not for you. there are a lot of call centers out there offering different services. if you think a job in a call center is boring...then perhaps it's not the work for you. :)

Dec 28, 2004, 10:01 PM
HAHA infonxx. . .

The work here sucks. . but the training, COMPETITIVE.

I was part of Batch 77. I've trained for like 1 month here. . . I should admit, the training was truly beneficial. The trainers we're GREAT as in NICE AND GREAT . . especially Eartha and Karen. and the pay was good! (for training)

I've learned a lot from these trainers, the facilities are fabulous, the pantry is also nice, free drinks for everyone.

BUT. . . after the goody goody . . . there comes work.

WORK here would only mean saying "What City and State pls???" to the customers. . . answering their queries and connecting them to the phone number that they want. And that would mean the whoooooole 8 hours of your shift. Same same procedure and you think it's easy, it's going to stress you out.

But wait, it's not only phone numbers but Movie times and listings and then there's directions. But then again . . I hate doing directions!!!

Chinghe is right, no internet, you wear corporate clothes (business-expensive looking clothes which do not even compare with your month's salary!) Plus all you do is say "what City and state pls?!" all day . . . 1 call would take you less than 15 secs and there's another caller again!

During training, we we're already oriented that 1 absent would mean termination to your training. I was actually one of those best searchers and fastest typist in my batch. I can search a listing faster than anyone else. But behind all the praise I wasn't happy with the job. I'm projecting if ever I'm gonna stay there for months, I WOULD BE SO DAMN BORED and BURNED OUT no matter how easy the job was.

One day, it was the beginning of our final exam. I saw my teammates on the floor taking calls already. I turned around, and went back to the elevator and went home instead. My reason for being absent, I had a fever and I can't supply a medical certificate. THAT'S IT! TERMINATED! :D :p

i worked in infonxx and lasted only 3 mos. one of the earliest batches ako eh. i'm really not cut-out to be a CSR. hated the work. boring as hell, tapos ang queue ng calls...one big hellish nightmare!!! kakababa mo pa lang ng last call mo, di ka pa nakakalunok ng laway, another call is waiting to be answered. tapos pati pagpunta mo ng CR at pag break mo you have to call the queue desk para magpaalam. over!!! parang prisoners!! sabihin mo sa queue desk, "wiwi lang ako ah" hahaha! we cherished yung moments na biglang walang pumapasok na calls because of some technical problems. you get to breathe and talk to the person beside you.

for newly grads ***** ok ang sweldo since 5 digits agad tapos may night diff at meal and transpo ka pa. pero sakin kse it's not always about the money...yung work mismo ayaw ko eh. tlagang di ako pang call center. hehe.

i just have to air out my sentiments. i applied for a CSR position and i think the guys who interviewed me really liked me. I was so disappointed because in my last interview, the HR told me that they had to turn me down because I'm still studying and that my schedule is in conflict with their training scheds and that i might be sleepy while im on my shift. I assumed that they already knew about my situation because this guy asked me in my call simulation, what keeps me busy aside from studying. I think it would have been easier for me to accept being rejected if im not qualified for the job. but the problem is that i am. i even saw in my paper that the guys who interviewed me think that i'm excellent for UK account.

i wish they informed me earlier that my being a student would be problem. they shouldnt have made me come back twice. it was a waste of time.

I think it would have been easier for me to accept being rejected if im not qualified for the job. but the problem is that i am. i even saw in my paper that the guys who interviewed me think that i'm excellent for UK account.

i wish they informed me earlier that my being a student would be problem. they shouldnt have made me come back twice. it was a waste of time.

ei preho tau! but mine happened in another call center, not in infonxx =) im only qualified for a part tym position dw...sayang...kaya ko **** mgfull time provided that i'l always be on a night shift...*** *** the conflict would arise if they'll change my shifts everytime...mgkkconflict tlg...hay goodluck nlng sa tin! hopefully other call centers would give us the right opportunity to work full time!

Right now, we don't accept part timers or applicants who are currently enrolled. This is because we are a 24/7 company. Our CSRs maybe asked to work early morning, mid or night shifts. They are assigned to work on a certain shift for a period of 3 months. If an applicant is currently enrolled and in the middle of the semester was given a different work schedule, we can't adjust his/her schedule to fit her schedule in school.

CrazyBoutShady, I'm sorry for the inconvenience we caused you. Usually, we ask applicants during the initial interview if they are currently studying or planning to go back school within a year. If they mention that they are currently studying, we tell them right away that we can't process their application for this reason. However, there are instances an applicant is still endorsed for the final interview if he/she is not certain during the initial interview whether he/she would pursue school or not. BTW, how many more months before you graduate?

Bluishtintin: Currently, we only accept full time employees who are not studying or planning to enroll within 12 months.

Scorpion_here, we require at least 1 year managerial/supervisorial experience in a call center or any service industry for the TM post. Typing speed of 60wpm is not necessary. We require only at least 25 wpm. If you qualify for the TM post, you may submit your resume thru jobstreet or email us at ph_jobs@infonxx.com . Please indicate the position you are interested in. For the CSR post, you may walk-in and personally submit your resume. You will be asked to fill up an application form and given an exam/interview schedule.

I can only speak for our company. We don't ask our trainees to pay for the training. In fact, we give training allowances. You need to pass all the interviews and exams before you can join training. Once you start with training, you are already considered a probationary employee. Our probationary period is only 4 months.

melissa99 youll get to know what CPT means when you start your training. exams? listening skill and spelling, they will give you some words and you have to spell it corretly. it's quite easy, don't worry. speech test is during the initial interview. unseen03 -> during my time, for the spelling, you will be asked to listen to a recording. an example will be the word "dentist". syempre slang na un, so sounds like Dennis na, they flap the "T" kase. anyways, u'll learn more about that during accent training. and if my memory serves me right, another example was accounting or accountant. easy lang naman *** spelling eh. pero they will let you listen also to an actual agent's recording. you'll have to take note of the cities and states mentioned, the listing that the customer's looking for... that part mejo mahirap.. goodluck kayang kaya mo yan.

You shouldn't have signed the contract if you're not that keen on having a long term career in INFO. That's why we inform the successful applicants of everything (including the bond, shifting schedule, even the salary) to give them an idea of what they're going into so that they'll not be disillusioned when they start working for INFO.

If you go on AWOL, don't expect a clean record afterwards...

Buti pa Etel, Sykes, Amber, PplSpt, at Cvg. May tech at non-tech na gumaganmit ka ng ANALYTICAL SKILLS pero di gaano hi-volume routine work na nakakabobo.

you really shouldn't be so affected about whether DA is nakakabobo or not if you're really smart to begin with. at info you get paid for doing next to nothing. meanwhile you agents at the CCs that supposedly make you use "analytical skills" are being paid only marginally higher for a hell of a lot more work than what's done in info. i should know this because i've been there and done that. and if proximity weren't an issue i'd go back to info in a heartbeat. and just to let you know my IQ hasn't changed since working for info or elsewhere. and if you insist on knowing my IQ just message me in private and i'll message you back. i wouldn't want to come off like i'm bragging or anything by posting it here. analyze that.

We're Number ONE!!

INFONXX has been ranked first among third party directory assistance companies In The March edition of The Paisley Group’s National Directory Assistance Performance IndexSM – demonstrating our commitment to providing customer focused solutions to our customers – and their callers.

This is REALLY BIG news for INFONXX – and for The rest of The industry. After all, every customer wants The highest quality and best value. Why would any carrier *not* use INFONXX for 4-1-1 services?

i have been trying to "analyze" your opinion and tried to actually picture your personality merely basing my analysis on the opinion that you posted last July 3... I guess you are a person that is very much engrossed of the word CHALLENGE. I feel like you are a person who wants to take everything as a challenge... your wanting to think and analyze about stuff is proof enough that you want to challenge your mental capability which we can also refer to your statement saying that working in Info is nakakabobo... but on the other hand, im thinking... :hmm: if you are really up for a challenge then you should have stayed with info, know why? because the challenge is also there actually it is very evident in that company... being able to take calls of more than 600 customers per day is already a challenge. being able to maintain a cpt (call processing time - in case you forgot about it) of 42seconds or less is more of a challenge as well!!! i mean being able to automatically identify the listing in split seconds is also a very big challenge. the famliarity of some keywords and categories for each listing is also a test of IQ... what is even more challenging there is you will have, or shall i say required, to remember names of states, with correct spelling and pronounciation of course, to think you have never been to any of the sates you have memorized. i mean, dont you think this is a test of IQ also???

i know you are damn entitled of your own opinion but i guess it wont hurt, or it wont be too much if you be watchfull of whatever you are going to say. because there are always better ways to state your opinions... not like as if you are waging war against the rest of the world! it's not like you versus the republic of the phlippines or you versus the people from infonxx... lighten up... ok??? *okay* *okay* *okay* ;)

I was from INFO :) and I regret that I resigned. It is so far, the best I've been to. My first and have always been proud of :) I learned a lot from you guys and I believe that I got the best training. Well, speaking of the EARLY batches. No offense to the new 1s though. Hearing from a few friends I got left there, it seems that management has been even more GENEROUS now. Too bad I'm not there anymore to suck up all those incentives!!! :) Been considering on going back but don't wanna go back to being a CSR anymore and geez, US is going to be in the South??? Is it the whole of US? Will UK be staying in RCBC? Is there an opening for another position in UK now? I was part of the "launching" of 118-118 :) anyone in HR here logged on right now? :)

Hi! How's Info? Sad lang about Joyce Tonson being on preventive suspension. Is it true that the reason for that is because her father was Pru Life's agent for Info? I mean, talk about delicadeza. Your own HR Manager getting a sales agent who turned out to be her father. Syempre ang commission sa kanila. Hayy... And apparently, lumipat ang Info sa CocoLife kasi umalis na rin sa PruLife ang dad ni Joyce. Kasi di ba *** commission ng agent stops after 2 years. So kaya lipat sila ng CocoLife! Ang galing di ba. Uy, black dragon, I'm sure alam mo yan. Kasi plano nyo na yan sa HR even before. Di ba Noel?

Ayala Land’s first BPO facility, PeopleSupport Center, was completed in April; with Convergys, its second BPO building, scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter. The Company started tapping demand for BPO space outside Metro Manila. In July, the Company broke ground on the two-storey Infonxx Building in Sta.
