how do they go about their recruitment? is it hard to get in? is the environment ok?

how much is the salary? are there any other benefits?

I worked at INFONXX b4...Well the screening involves 4 phases... 2 exams & 2 interviews. The pay is good pero medyo low during training anyways the environment is good & the job is not really that tough. U'll get benefits when ur already regular that will be 6 mos. after.

trainees don't get 13k...grabe taas naman nito kesa starters...CSR's pay is higher than trainees...Niweiz the shift are 10-7, 9-6, 8-5, 7-4, 6-3,5-8, 12mn-9.

I don't think they accept part-time...may i suggest eteletech they have part-timers there...

My reason for leaving info is I don't like the midnight shift where I would be trasferred too.

hello po... aalagaan ko na nga lang to ng thread na to... anyway, im one of the newest batch here, 131. training pa lang din kami for US not for UK. sayang pero ok lang. saka na lang yung UK thing. mahirap yung training kasi sasauluhin mo yung spelling ng mga city and states syempre. pero yung mahirap talaga, yung florida cities. ang hirap ng spelling! anyway, wish me luck naman na gru maduate kasi bumagsak na ako sa spelling. sana may unlimited retake pero isang retake lang pwede. goodluck to me!

Lagi ko nakikita un mga taga-Infonxx. Question lan, ano nature work nyo? I mean call center yan d b? About what un mga tine-take nyong calls?
Aliw lan ako kse kyo ata un karamihan ng nakatambay anytime of the day sa me statue. I'm just new here sa RCBC Tower (2 months), ala lan... Gusto ko lan malaman kun sino pa other tenants dito...

i was with infonxx before. batch 4. the people i used to work with were the fun people. however almost lahat kme transferred to another company. management kinda killed the fun that we used to have. the place now feels more like work minus the fun. the place is teeming with expat s na. ciao! :yum:

Every new company, especially call centers experience this, pasasarapan ka nila sa una, then mgt. changes the fun atmosphere. We can't blame them though, with the number of employees and clients coming in, that means growth for the company, and when it becomes big that's where they lay down the rules. Nadaanan ko na rin yan eh, I'm still working with the company. You just had to endure the changes that come about. :p

yep yep. and besides the company way underpays their agents and support. imagine getting an increase of 750 bucks after staying there for a year and they promise that they'll something about the people's pay. that's motivation for you man. that sucks. better to look around. hth:mad:

yes tumatanggap *** ng undergrads. galengan mo na lang listening skills and spelling mo. mag praktis ka na magsabe ng "what city and state please" na maarte. mag praktis ng abbreviation states eg. NV for Nevada *** mga ganun. spelling mo pa ayusin mo. yun lang!!:D

yes they do! it's directory assistance and all you need is patience and friendliness. make sure you hone your listening skills. it's part of the exam. btw, i'm not from info, some of my friends are. they say it's a great place to be. by just helping people locate their destination or answer simple question like "where's the nearest pizza hut in my town?" you get paid even more than other call centers. ;)

My brother works in INFOnxx. I think the company sucks. Training is like for 1 month with training allowance of P400/day. If you pass the training, you will be on probation for another 6 months before you get regularized. Your starting salary will be 11k plus some incentive allowance. The Night Differential is the worst among other call centers. It's a humiliating 10% without additional traval allowance. You won't get your healthcard (HMO) until you get regularized. You will however get it if you didn't incurr any absences within the next 3 months of probationary period.

The work is a boring directory assistance job with no access to the internet. Management/Sups are despotic. The attire is corporate. You are not allowed to slouch. You are not allowed to read books even if you don't have any calls or during lean hours. You have to ask for permission if you need to go to the jon or if you need to take your break or whatever you need to do.

But of course if you're happy with just connecting or giving out numbers or giving them directions and movie listings, this is the job for you. Less pressure. Less decision making.

i was with batch 1 of info. now i'm with a competitor of info, here in libis. when we were there, may tax-free na added and considered to be allowance. not they consider it to be productivity pay, meaning if you don't hit of 96.5% of the time, you don't get it at all.

my application is being processed right now...reference check nlang yata then contract signing na for j.o.. i must admit, i feel a bit queasy about this whole ordeal, kako bka mas ok ang offer at pay sa ibang companies. im actually waitin for the results from ambergris and convergys. mejo mtagal processing nila and compared to u guys, its all in a days work! :). havent tried infonxx though...

anyways, feeling ko **** ok ang atmosphere sa PS, but m kinda wondering why a lot of guys from ur end wants to transfer to convergys...just wondering...hmmm

does anyone know if infonxx gives permanent shifts? i'm willing to go on a permanent graveyard shift because i have classes in the afternoon. also, can the training also be on a graveyard shift? i know most companies give training only on regular office hours (8-5). i've had problems applying in other companies because they said they only give trainings on regular office hours and it would be in conflict with my classes.

observer: shifts may vary depending on your team. you cant choose your shift. as far as i know, you cant also choose a team in which the shift more convinient for you. yes, training may vary depending on your batch schedule and it is rotating. there are some traing shifts like 10pm - 6am; 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 1-9am and the regular office hours from 9am-5pm.

you can always ask the training manager about your schedule so they may find an alternative which is more convinient for you.

Maliit pa ba yung sweldo sa INFONXX? One of my friends is working there and her basic salary is Php11,000 excluding night differential. Maliit nga sya compare sa ibang call center pero okay na rin kasi di naman daw ganun kahirap yung work compare pag technical support ka. Php11,000 is just a starting salary, may increase pa daw upon regularization.

before, i loved working for Info..i love the work environment, the office, the people..but now....hmmmm...management became more strict, chaka feeling ko ino-ogag na mga employees nila esp when the UK market came (one a*hole can't make up his mind whether they need more csrs in the UK)..sorry to say, medyo nawawalan na ako ng gana..but no, i won't resign until i don't get promoted even to as least as a lead csr..para naman ok ang "value" ko when i transfer to another company..hehe..still, the people i work with, esp my team, make my like at INFO a little more enjoyable and less stressful..chaka ang sarap minsan magpababa ng CPT e..hehe :)

IMHO, avaya uses PSTN technology, or some such sh!+, which i think is a form of analog signal. kaya pag may calls, may nagtext sayo, or *** mag-text, may parang kumakatok sa headset mo. kaya bawal magdala ng celfon sa floor. place your fons in your lockers right? dito samin, medyo low tech lang. we use the internet and routers to split the bandwidth into voice and data. in short, text to your heart's content, hindi ka papakialaman. hangga't kaya ng bulsa mo magbayad ng monthly, or hangga't may load ka, walang pakialaman. hehehe... yoko na talaga magsalita. love peace and adobo grease!!!

i applied for infonxx... and peoplesupport... i passed both the exams and interviews for both contact centers... pero mas nauna ako icntact ng peopesupport...infonxx called me up for contract signing 2 days after i started working at peoplesupport..

totoo yan. starting nila is 11k. you are paid by the hour. every 2 weeks (friday) ang sweldo nyo. ND is only 10%. HELLO?!? di kasyang pang-taxi yan. although me productivity pay, pagod pagod ka naman kasi you average 600 calls a day kasi nga nakakabobo yung job...directory assistance lang. you don't have internet access. you have to come in casual office attire. strict pa sila sa floor. you have to inform them pag pupunta ka sa CR.

in fairness naman sa info, ok yang company na yan, at least when we started. kami-kami pa lang nila bentobox dyan noon. amoy rugby pa *** floor tsaka *** "freezer" eh may "x marks the spot" na tape pa dati. pwede kayong maglaro ng habulan sa floor dati. nakakamiss din ang info kahit papano. libreng milo na may halong coffee tsaka *** 6.00 na tofi luk (which BTW, i got for 4.00 only... bwehehehe!). un nga lang, talagang hanapan ng magandang opportunity para mabuhay ang family ko. kung hindi dahil sa experience ko with info, malamang sweldong csr pa din ako. hehehe... oops did i say that? :bonkself: sorry po, but it's the truth. that's why i'm thankful and proud to be a member of the pioneer batch of infonxx.

Ravi Dasari is MY mentor... he was the one who taught me everything about quality, while Rudy Arocha taught me everything about speed. kung di dahil sa dalawang un, i wouldn't be where i am now. i owe it to those two guys. supportive din si mike lazo dati, even as we left info... no bad blood amongst us... *** iba eh... eh... eh... hmmmmmmmm... no comment na lang. sila bentobox ata si patrick na ang nagtrain, seems like a nice man. pero swerte pa din kami, in my book, coz batch 1 was trained by 4 of the most seasoned managers back then... so my stand is this. forever akong grateful sa infonxx, kahit *** iba dun eh hindi ko na kasundo... maui, paul, joan, tsaka si karen were also cool dudes. and info was my personal training ground, dun ko nalaman ang different cities and states, na ginagamit ko ngayon for training my people. so there... long live infonxx!!! wahehehe... :D

@hugs, bwenas na nga kayo talaga. during my time, wala man lang ganyan. that was when the company did not give a damn about its employees. eh nung sumulpot ang mga bagong call center, natakot sila na baka layasan sila. but how can they retain people to work for them by offering pandesal, taho, kuchinta, puto, etc.? ginawa pang panadero *** mga team managers dyan? hehehe... hindi pa naman siguro ganung kababa ang halaga ng piso para ang csr eh hindi na makabili ng pandesal... ahihihi... :D

bakit 24 hrs ba ang shift mo? do you have to stay in the church the entire day? if im not mistaken, you can go to work and still go to church before or after your shift. think about it.

INFONXX is D.A.-directory assistance..enhanced..we offer movie times and listings, directions, voice command, atm, stocks, weather, horoscope, sports scores, lottery, etc...though yung iba jan, mga lead csrs na ang naghahandle..

when i applied at info, we had spelling tests, listening tests, and speech (ba un?) tests..the first 2 self-explanatory na, *** speech, you have to read a list of words to the recruiter..siguro para malaman nila kung may "potential" ka..hehe..that same day, i had an interview..sandali lang, a few questions about my resume..tas pinabalik ako the following day..un na ata final interview..di naman sobrang kakaiba, the usual "how do you see yourself 10 yrs from now..what are your weaknesses/strengths.."nothing really out of the ordinary..though *** recruiter she asked me about my family..parang nakikipagkwentuhan lang..bait nga ni ms ethel e.. :)

bentobox..rumor lang talaga un..management daw muna, tas supervisors so siguro kayo na un..shempre huli na mga csrs..not sure kung kelan namin mararamdaman *** salary increase na yan.. :(

when my friend applied mga 3-4 weeks ago, ang sabi nya, dalawa daw nag interview sa kanya. (unfortunately, they didn't take her in, argh!). pero minsan nakikita ko one-on-one lang with a recruiter. whichever way, just do your best...and nice naman mga recruiters dito e :)
