One Hollywood executive says Weinstein "is on the same trajectory" as the once powerful talent agent Michael Ovitz because he, like Ovitz, "has lost the ability to see things clearly."

Another executive, at DISNEY, which owns MIRAMAX, says, "In Hollywood, they don't root for you until they hear your cancer is terminal. This is a town that smells blood. When they smell blood, they circle like sharks. In Harvey's case, there is a sense that his streak has waned, that the magic may be gone."

napansin ko wala na mashadong magaganda na lumalabas sa MIRAMAX ever since winning the oscar for "Sheakspeare in Love".

btw, paborito ko ngayon ay STUDIO CANAL pagdating sa mga movies.

I just noticed that his choice of movies lately have been questionable.

i think he's gone a little more mainstream however i still have faith in Miramax and the Weinstein Brothers...

from their upcoming movies, 5 comprise the Top Ten movies of the National Board of Review (Chicago, Frida, Gangs of New York, Rabbit Proff Fence and The Quiet American)

aside from being artsy, these films also boast impressive casts:

Chicago: Richard Gere, Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta Jones

Frida: Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd, Edward Norton, Antonio Banderas, Alferd Molina

Gangs of New York: Leonardo diCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Daniel Day-Lewis

Quiet American: Michael Caine and Brendan Frazer

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind: Sam Rockwell, Drew Barrymore, George Clooney, Julia Roberts

View from the Top: Gwyneth Paltrow, Christina Applegate, Rob Lowe, Kelly Preston

although it also has had really stupid choices (They, Scary Movie Trilogy, yup there's a third one!!!) i think Weinstein still hasn't lost his "taste"
