altwegg... not to discourage from completing your requirements, the HR is not really strict when it comes to the requirements... hehehe... I have a wavemate who has not even submitted one piece of her requirements, and she's still getting her salary on time (we've been in CVG for 3 months). And you'll get your salary only when you receive your atm card, which will take about a week. Hopefully they already made you sign the forms, we filled up our forms on the first day. Don't think of the salary first, bayaan mo lang, pag di mo nakuha sa 28th, isipin mo na lang inipon mo and mas malaki makukuha mo sa 15th. :D

gayumababe, I don't want to sound like I know the process very much but what I'll tell you is based on my experience.

I got a call from CVG (I think somebody referred me to them because I don't remember e-mailing my resume to them) asking me if I want to pursue a career with the company. I said yes and the HR scheduled me for a simulation exam the next day. The simulation exam is relatively easy, in my opinion. During the test, you should listen carefully for instructions and to the voice recordings. It has a time limit and it will take you 3 hours to finish the simulation exam. Don't worry about the test so much because if you listen very well, you will pass it. If you pass the simulation exam, you will be scheduled immediately for a final interview with an HR specialist. After your final interview, you will know your fate. Your interviewer will hand you a paper telling you if you passed it. If you make it, you will be scheduled for a job offer orientation and a contract will be given to you (of course, you now get to decide if you'll sign it or not). Training then starts. That's what I went through. Walk-in applicants, from what I know, will have a preliminary interview first before they are scheduled for the simulation exam. Anyway, two of my wavemates had their simulation exam, final interview, job offer orientation and contract-signing in a single day! So the hiring process is really fast. If I were you, I will apply now. Or much better, let's make use of the Employee Referral Program so I can have incentives when you get hired. Don't worry, I'll share some with you.

i work for a big callcenter, going 2 years na ko **.
wala naman prob as far as sweldo, convinient yung job for me, kahit malayo at least one ride lang.

the only prob lang is, yung ibang account dun lang masyado may napopromote (TL, QA, etc) kasi lumalaki yung account nila. e kami, were just less than 20.

sa tagal ko sa na nagcacall, i applied for reqcuitment assoc for cvg. thru jobstreet. nakita ko sa jobstreet is under consideration. though IT ang crs ko not related to Human resources..

i think you are very lucky coz TDS (teledevelopment) called you,
TDS is NOT an agency nor a recruiting agency, TDS is a consulting firm
for top call centers in the world, Convergys hired them to hunt for their tech support account, i think you should pursue your application to them,
a little advice interviews and tests/examinations are a bit difficult with TDS but if you pass them all i am very sure that you will be hired by convergys
i am saying this because i myself experienced it firsthand

Hello people!! I cant believe im posting here now to give insights about CVG!

Im a former employee from CVG who resigned less than a year ago. I stayed in CVG for more than a year.

Before i got accepted in CVG gaya ko rin kayo nandito ako sa Pinoyexchange looking for information and asking people for tips. So when i read your posts, i was reminded of myself when i was looking for my first job! I must say, Pinoyexchange was a big part of the reason why i got in because of all the information i got here. Try nyo din mag basa nung mga threads about interivew questions, sobrang effective nung mga guidelines nila dun.

after reading some posts here i feel like i need to give something back here sa pinoyexchange coz i really owe this website for my job. The least thing that i could do is add tips to tons of gazillion tips that were already stated here.

Here are some of my tips:


Applying for a job in CVG:

I know these days, everything is done online, so youre thinking of submitting a resume and hope to get interviewed. If i were you dont submit it online instead print your resume neatly attach a picture and go to the nearest CVG office in your area. Take note its best to go there thursday or friday coz usually mondays are days where people decided to apply sp theres lots of applicants and theres usually a long line on mondays. Wear business clothing. Usually, if you submit your resume and they have the time, they will interview you right away but thats just the 1st minor interview before taking the test and getting a final interview.


The 1st interview:
Its usually done as a first part of the screening process. a few questions and you usually get to be interviewed as a group of 3-5 people. Just make sure you show confidence pag tinanong ka. If you nervous hide it. a few minor questions like whyd you apply for this job. DONT EVER EVER SAY U WANNA LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH thats y u applied. Their hiring you because of what u already have not to give you something or teach u something. Just say you think u fit the job desciption well and elaborate further. Be sure you base your answers sa job description.


The TEST:
if u pass the 1st interview, youl take the computerized test could be on the same day or another day. Im not sure kung ganito pa rin. But the test consist of 3 parts. Simulation, Technical exam at un isa parang general knowledge.
Make sure you practice your typing skills kasi may test ng bilis ng typing. Make sure to read some business letters kasi may part na gagawa ka ng email sa simulated customer. More importantly make sure to review general IT knowlege if your applying for a Tech account. (terminologies like HTML WWW POP3, TCP/IP, LAN). For everyone else make sure you listen very very well. Eto ang key sa pag pass ng simulated test. You simulation part meron headset at program na kunwari may kausap ka pero computer lang and u dont need to speak click lang ng mouse mga sagot mo sa vouce. Muntek na ako sumabit sa test nun. Feeling ko pasang awa. I have to say hindi sya easy for some people ***** easy. Pero ang ration daw ng mga nag tetest usually is 3-5 applicants pass the simulated test out of 20 applicants actually sa batch ko nun tatlo lang kami pumasa out of 20. but with proper review of some IT terms and Practice of listening skills, mataas chance mo pumasa. Just remember to relax and focus and recall your knowledge.

The FINAL INTERVIEW:
if u pass the testing stage final interview ka na. Make sure to get some reading on the "Acing the interview" thread ni "Careercoach" dun sa coahing sectiong ng pinoyexchange. effective un. Remember to speak english well and project a good speaking voice show confidence too!


Sa mga nag iisip kung ok ba sa CVG:

Eto lang masasabi ko. For sure ok ang sweldo. Last time i checked around
19-20K for regular employees kasama na benefits. tataas pa daw this year.
Mahirip ang night shift. Enjoy ang dayshift. Madali lang **** mag call center sa CVG. Given the proper training. Sa umpisa mangagapa ka **** feeling mo ang hirap pero after a month or two parang routine nlng nlng ang work sobrang chicken na. Tatawanan mo na lang ang mga kanong kausap mo na nung umpisang nerbyos na nerbyos ka kausapin.

call center is for people who has the ability to sleep very deeply. Kung light sleeper ka mahihirapan ka kasi pag sa umaga ka natutulog maraming istorbo. Maingay na kapitbahay, maingay na aso, TV sa sala, Mga kasama sa bahay, Init ng araw, ilaw ng umaga. Yan ang reason kung bakit ayoko na sa call center kasi ndi ako magaling matulog. un mga teammates ko magaling sa tulog pag pikit straight 8-14 hours ang tulog nila! Kung ndi ka sanay matulog ng mahimbing wag ka na mag try kasi for sure makaka affect sa health mo. Ok lang ang night shift masasanay ka rin. Ang importante ndi ka madaling magising pag umaga sa mga ingay ingay.

Parang College din ang CVG usually populated by fresh grads pero meron din **** mga mommy and daddies! youth oriented environment! Daming mga pakain ng company pag may mga holidays and celebrations. Maraming financial rewards at pa raffle tulad ng mga components, ipods, TV sets etc.

CVG reall is one of the best call centers in the nation. Parang UP or LASALLE ng mga call centers. Pag galing ka ng CVG usually hindi ka na mahihirapan sa ibang call center. And mga experienced agents from CVG usually hired as Officers agad sa mga bagong tayong mga call center. So its really well worth it!!

Maraming nag sasabing mga call center jobs daw nakaka degrade ng mga pinoys! BU&&S****&#T sila! yung mga taong nag sasabi nun i bet mga taong inggit sa sweldo ng mga call center agents. I bet ndi papapasa un mga un sa test ng CVG! My experience with CVG is something that will always stick with me. Para kang nanggaling sa Guera sa iraq na kapwa mga sundalo mo lang sa call center ang nakakiintidi kung anong experience at value ang naibigay sa inyo ng work sa CVG or sa any other call center for that matter.!

based on experience lang, no guarantees that this would apply to you. Dati alam ko pwede part-timers sa ortigas nun kase super queuing kaya sobrang kailangan nila ng agent. I tried to refer one of my friends then as a part-timer pero as it turns out, compenstation is not that good compared to what you get when working full-time (compensation/hour i mean).
About choosing your sched, yung mga part-timers are usually on the night/ reverse mid-shift hours.

oh man...i had a really good experience during my stay in convergys...but i hope my friend's story doesn't happen to any of you guys...he was on sick leave for about a week and when he came back, there was a case against him that he was emailing porn during production time. he doesn't even kno the email address when he was shown the screenshots. then his team leader told him he was suspended. he was asking for a memo that he was indeed suspended. his tl can't show him any documents. he didn't wanna leave coz his tl might charge him with abandonment. of cousre, i would've done the same thing. then his tl called the security and he was nabugbog on his way out. the head security went up and even told the other gurads that he cannot be a threat to security because he was already limping that time. then head guard offered him the footage just in case he wants to sue them.

i also know someone who was terminated coz she wasn't able to go to work...her dad was dying and in critical condition...no considerations...

anyway, personally i had fun with cvg but hearing all these, i'm glad i was no longer part of the company when these happened. cvg pays well though, you might even wonder if they're deducting taxes from your pay...

May nirape daw kasi dati duon na Pinay ang mga Hapon nung World War II tapos nagpakamatay ata sya or something. Tapos nakakatuwa kanina when we took the elevator, umakyat nga sya ng 8th floor. Iyong mga female groupmates ko nagkwekwento na meron din daw sa ladies' room.

oh man...i had a really good experience during my stay in convergys...but i hope my friend's story doesn't happen to any of you guys...he was on sick leave for about a week and when he came back, there was a case against him that he was emailing porn during production time. he doesn't even kno the email address when he was shown the screenshots. then his team leader told him he was suspended. he was asking for a memo that he was indeed suspended. his tl can't show him any documents. he didn't wanna leave coz his tl might charge him with abandonment. of cousre, i would've done the same thing. then his tl called the security and he was nabugbog on his way out. the head security went up and even told the other gurads that he cannot be a threat to security because he was already limping that time. then head guard offered him the footage just in case he wants to sue them.

i also know someone who was terminated coz she wasn't able to go to work...her dad was dying and in critical condition...no considerations...

anyway, personally i had fun with cvg but hearing all these, i'm glad i was no longer part of the company when these happened. cvg pays well though, you might even wonder if they're deducting taxes from your pay...

Hmmm.. I dont think that its still being practiced here in CVG (termination without prior notice) I guess it depends on the account? Im from Bellsouth and so far, I am enjoying my stay with the account and officemates...

Been with PeopleSupport, I'd say that CVG is different, the best center so far.
Though I am not really sure if the taxes that the payroll department deducts every payday go... unreasonably high!

My experience with other call centers indicate that you can't transfer to another account if you have not reached a certain amount of time with them, so if you're new or still fairly new to Convergys then it might take awhile before you can ask for a transfer to another account.

If you're refering to the e-mail support in CVG Ortigas, pareho lang basic nila with voice. The thing is, all agents who are in e-mail support are tenured agents from the voice support of the same product. Ie: you start out with receiving calls then if you do good with your metrics, you could probably request for a transfer to email.

Heh, same case with me. I'm still waiting for any call. I wonder if I'm accepted; some of those who had their final interviews already had their job offers right after the interview.

I don't know if all sites of CVG follow the same hiring procedure ha? But in CVG1 (the corporate headquarters of CVG in Makati), guys who had their final interview were given a letter 2-3 minutes after. Andun sa letter nakalagay kung pasa ka or re-apply ka after a certain number of months. Tapos naka-schedule na rin dun kung kelan yung job offer orientation.

Kung gusto nyo ng totoong L2, Resolution Specialists also known as L2 sa Dell is open since Feb 13. Mag apply na kayo sa www.dell.com/manila dahil isasara na nila ang posisyon sa July. Ang sweldo 27,000 basic hindi pa kasama ang overtime at night diff dahil kailangan nanjan ka hanggang matapos ang last agent sa team mo sa calls nya. Wala pong taking ng calls ang L2 sa Dell. 2 1/2 months ang "petiks" training. Marami rami naring nag migrate na taga convergys dito. If you are 1 year na in the call center industry, try a crack on RS position first dahil if you applied and accepted the agent position, it would take 6-12 months before they allow you to get a crack on the RS position.

yup kasama na *** training dun sa bond. and paid ang training. kung magkano ang magiging starting salary mo ganun na rin ang salary mo once umapak ng training. Hindi tulad ng ibang company na may maliit na allowance lang pag trainee or minsan un iba wala tlgang pay ang trainee.

Kasama na un training period dun sa 4 months bond. ok **** sa CVG tol san ka nakakita ng call center na 4 months lang ang bond? un iba usually 6 months to 1 year.

anybody here na nagwwork sa CVG ALabang?? i had my final interview last 2 weeks ata.. they said na tatawagan nila ako the day after ng interview ko kasi iaassess pa yung application ko..pero d na tumawag.. I tried to follow-up my application. my interviewer said na titingnan na muna niya sa kanyang database then she will call me again mga 5 pm (mga 3:00 ako tumawag). and then agen hindi na tumawag..

ayoko na rin tawagan ulit kasi baka makulitan na sakin or talagang d ako pumasa..ganun ba talaga dun?? baka naman may nagwwork dito sa CVG Alabang.. gusto ko lang malaman *** recruitment process nila. para di na ako umasa.. well d na umaasa kasi matagal na eh.. basta gusto ko pa rin malaman yung status ko.. sana sabihan lang ako na hindi pumasa. kasi ng sabi pa sakin tatawag ulit siya ng 5pm pero hindi na tumawa.

yahoo!! tinawagan na ako ng CVG alabang... pero di sa job offer ko..at least alam ko na ang sttus ko. bale parang talagang inevaluate *** niy yung application ko.. she said na if i'm willing to go to have a training.. free of charge naman daw.. i have difficulties daw kasi in pronuncing 't' and 'th' and with some consonants..nd para ma familiriaze ako sa customer service. not all applicants are given this opportunity daw..and tong training na to is not an assurance na mabibigyan ako ng job offer.. kelangan ko pa daw dumaan ulit sa assessment nila.
