I agree with you clairefink..used to work for this acct... lots of irate customers thus making you learn more on how to deal with these people. I quit though last june 30.

why convergys is one of the BEST:
1. they don't have permanent headsets. meaning, sharing of virus and foreign particles that will affect your health. so, hazardous ang environment dun. gud luck! they can't afford to provide individual/permanent headsets. their avaya phone system is simply OUTDATED compared to most call center companies. of course, i'm just referring to their Ortigas site. CVG1 and Commonwealth sites may have better facilities. but being the biggest in the world, they simply can't afford to provide the best facilities for their employees' needs. tsk tsk.. so much for OutThinking, OutDoing.
2. HR people (not all) can't seem to give the right information to the new hires. from pre-employment requirements, pay schedule and training skeds. by the way, Convergys is the only call center company in the Philippines that require their employees (new hires) to go to BIR office for the tax infos and updates. how convenient! whatever happened to their "OutThinking OutDoing" B.S.!
3. According to HR, no regularization salary adjustment. ang weird! during our final job interview, they were telling us that CVG has the highest comp and ben in all tech accounts. hehe... turned out to be another B.S.! and it does look like we're gonna be stucked with the same base pay forever. hehehehe

my advice to applicants for convergys : walk-in na lang kayo. if you can, avoid the phone interview. if you are confident about your comm skills and other abilities, walk-in ka na lang!. i tried this and it worked for me. try to be there sa umaga pa lang para tuloy-tuloy ang process. in-fact, i'm starting this monday! yehey!

oi mga cvg pips na nandyan pa sa ortigas, gaano katotoo ang balitang nakuha ko sa isang former officemate (who's still in the account between 26th and the 27th floors) na last annual physicals eh maraming agents ang nadiagnose na may early stages of TB? nagpasa-pasa daw dahil sa mga headsets. and ang isang pobreng agent daw ay dinidiscourage ng kanyang tl na mag file ng complaints kase "naku, matagal na proseso yan"...

been here sa cvg for almost 2 months.. masaya nmn.. bukod sa slip at hot seating! hehehe.. biruin mo, pag naglunch ka, pagbalik mo sa station mo, may iba na nakaupo!!! asteg di ba?! :rotflmao:

i went through the same process before.. after assessment with future perfect, it took a month before cvg called me up for schedule. nag-iipon kasi sila ng trainees eh.. then after 2 weeks, depending on how well you did during the training, they will endorse you to cvg for another Final interview.. eventually i got the job with cvg..
if you really want to pursue your application with cvg, you just have to be patient and wait.. its your choice..
hi ask ko *** po... kase nagtry ako magapply sa convergys alabang. and I passed the exam and nung final interview nung binigay saken yung letter she's endorsing me sa future perfect. when I went to future perfect dumaan pa ulit sa assessment and then sabi convergys dw ang tatawag samen for schedules etc.
I just want to ask if there are instances na hindi na tinatawagan? hehehe. mejo nanghihinayang kase ako kung hindi matawagan kase naipasa ko naman yung mga exam and once ko *** tinake yun. so sana matawagan.

hmm..are you an incoming sophomore?kasi they require for applicants to finish at least 2nd year college..pero kung ok naman,just bring your resume at mga interviews.. csr at tccr ang mag available positions

2. yup yup - when i applied here, i arrived mga 2pm ata and job offer na ko by 10pm
3. actually u can start naman even if you're still studying. i have a wavemate na ganyan ang case. pero i think u can haggle with them abt sa startdate mu
4. Depende ata sa accnt *** seat shortages. Sa acnt ko, meron talaga. pero not sure with the other acnts..
5. *****. Lahat nmn ng problema ng agents, napag uusap usapan naman eh. and may mga agents talaga na walang takot i-aor ang concerns sa mga immediate sups nila. kanya kanyang diskarte nga ***.. :lol:

trainings are usually from monday - saturdays.. with a possibility of going home on sunday mornings.. darn.. sprint lang nagtaas.. kailan ba directv? tagal ko na nagaantay eh ehehehe

Rant rant rant.
Sigh, I applied in CVG last May for a part-time position and I passed up to the final interview. There were no openings so the interviewer told me to call or email her in August.
Well, I have been calling/e-mailing her since June, and there's no reply. As for the number she gave me ... *tada* "not available for the moment, redirect to assistance" and no one's answering the redirected line.
I mean for 2 months laging wala?
And yea, I went there and personally followed-up my application. Still no word.
Rant rant rant. Hope you guys don't experience this @_@

Rant rant rant.
Sigh, I applied in CVG last May for a part-time position and I passed up to the final interview. There were no openings so the interviewer told me to call or email her in August.
Well, I have been calling/e-mailing her since June, and there's no reply. As for the number she gave me ... *tada* "not available for the moment, redirect to assistance" and no one's answering the redirected line.
I mean for 2 months laging wala?
And yea, I went there and personally followed-up my application. Still no word.
Rant rant rant. Hope you guys don't experience this @_@

Account, Good pa rin diba, the bad news is that still the same compensation,
no perks, no whatever.

i'm no longer with cvg but i can answer all of your questions..
1) yep. they're pretty serious abt the ncc. i remember one time tumawag pa sila sa bahay namin just to verify kung talagang nakatira ako dun.
2) wala po. cvg's workforce is located in cincinnati, OH.. although i've heard na sa Bellsouth meron.
3) yep. same thing. if you have call center exp., may premium.
4) well depende. although generally mas mataas ang pay ng TSR sa CSR, may mga accounts naman sa cvg na cs pero mataas ang pay.
5) if you go to an inbound sales program shempre meron.

maraming accounts and convergys-commonwealt, however, kaya i moved out of the company kasi, during my time sa convergys commonwealth, i had these bad experiences:

were there instances that the difference in avaya and TKS time indeed affected your evaluation???or was there ever a time that you got sanctioned due to seat shortage???

Bali-balita ay sa may sprint account daw oo. Plus 1k ata sa basic nila. Sa account namin mukhang malabo talaga eh. Your reward for a good day's work is more work... Daming nakakaasar sa account namin, pero pinakanakakaasar sa amin ay yung limited oppurtunities for growth. Homenetworking was added to our list of duties, added queue, added work, no compensation whatsoever. And worst of all, limited training. most of the troubleshooting we do, we either learned from our officemates who had prior experience or by ourselves... Wish ko lang (kay Vicki Morales ko na lang siguro hihingin dahil bingi management eh) na may additional training man lang tyo or update training tungkol sa computers and networking dahil wala na yung sinasabing scope of support. At kapag homenetworking issue, di ka pwedeng mag-escalate sa level 2, now what the hell are the level 2's for? Can they just increase the pay to match those of the level 2's???
And sometimes it never really is the work or the pay that determines if you want to stay in a company, sometimes it is the respect that you know each and everyone deserves. Sometimes people just want respect, to be heard and to be considered as part of the whole of things...

Well, TL's no longer have an ounce of insight or say on the decision-making process. Even the TL's, Level 2's and some other person's in and out of the floor know what the issue is and just have the same sentiments. Most of which really just wanted to get out of the whole enchalada. And a common thing you here on the floor nowadays are people's plans of resigning and transferring to other companies. Or how little the (mis)management cares about the sentiments of the agents, that they would just let people resign feeling they can easily replace people and just re-hire. And people no longer talk in mumbled words or in hushed silence, but loudly and coherently for anyone who's 10ft away to hear...
And to think (mis)management is just roaming around the floor everyday, perhaps hoping not to hear or simply that they might already be deaf and dumb to it. Because up until now, there's not even a hint of any effort to alleviate the floors morale. We're not looking for a full-proof plan to have everything corrected right then and there, but H*LL, not even a sign that they do care. What we do see are a lot of new hires, and new transition agents. What a way to boost (mis)management's image on how they value there workforce... =p

Master, sana nga eh makapaglateral yung may mga gusto. Kasi yung ibang gusto na talaga eh nahohold dito eh... Ilalapit na lang po namin sa inyo kapag may kakilala kaming gustong makalipat at nahihirapan...
By the way, on the upside for CVG, for anyone else's info, ok daw sa yahoo account ng CVG. We've been hearing good reviews sa mga nakalipat na delingkwente dito sa account ng B*L*S. Bakit nga ganun, yung may mga may sayad pa yung madaling nakakalipat at yung mga magagaling na gustong lumipat ang parang di pinapayagan...

wow, i didn't know commonweath is experiencing hot/slip seating too? so this is a company-wide phenomenon pala. hahaha... oh well, Convergys USA and Convergys Phils seem to be two different companies. so they can't afford to provide individual headsets, maintaining super obsolete avaya phones, downgrading health benefits from the reputable MaxiCare to a small-time Intellicare. hi to all!! im also fr the same acct as panday pira and the others.
im also one of the pioneers but im originally fr the dial acct and then after a year i transferred to dsl.
i share the same sentiments as the others, im already frustrated with what's happening with the acct. that added burden was a very big mistake, and the management unfortunately is doing nothing abt the sentiments of the agents.
another thing that angers me is the arrival of a lot of new tls that came fr other companies. there are a lot of agents who are very much qualified to become tls, but that stupid mdp just keeps on flunking them. im starting to believe that there's no growth here,agents will remain as agents unless they have a powerful backer.
our sentiments may sound sour graping but its also hard to leave the company, im here for 2 yrs and this is my very first job..but if these problems persists, then i have no choice but look for greener pastures.

By the way, on the upside for CVG, for anyone else's info, ok daw sa yahoo account ng CVG. We've been hearing good reviews sa mga nakalipat na delingkwente dito sa account ng B*L*S. Bakit nga ganun, yung may mga may sayad pa yung madaling nakakalipat at yung mga magagaling na gustong lumipat ang parang di pinapayagan...

Bali-balita ay sa may sprint account daw oo. Plus 1k ata sa basic nila. Sa account namin mukhang malabo talaga eh. Your reward for a good day's work is more work... Daming nakakaasar sa account namin, pero pinakanakakaasar sa amin ay yung limited oppurtunities for growth. Homenetworking was added to our list of duties, added queue, added work, no compensation whatsoever. And worst of all, limited training. most of the troubleshooting we do, we either learned from our officemates who had prior experience or by ourselves... Wish ko lang (kay Vicki Morales ko na lang siguro hihingin dahil bingi management eh) na may additional training man lang tyo or update training tungkol sa computers and networking dahil wala na yung sinasabing scope of support. At kapag homenetworking issue, di ka pwedeng mag-escalate sa level 2, now what the hell are the level 2's for? Can they just increase the pay to match those of the level 2's???
And sometimes it never really is the work or the pay that determines if you want to stay in a company, sometimes it is the respect that you know each and everyone deserves. Sometimes people just want respect, to be heard and to be considered as part of the whole of things...
isn't Home Networking technically a higher level compared to basic DSL queue? one thing i really hate about our company is the training. it's too informal, walang direction as in! this is where i experienced the worst training ever! during our transition, we didn't have individual computers sa training namin. i mean, how will we learn if everything was just verbal? imagine that? we have this "huddle room" as they call it. it's where our instructors teach us troubleshooting stuff verbally tapos kami **** naka squat on the floor. yung trainer namin is mentioning a lot of terms na wala man lang visual aid. hahaha... parang public school. :bop: our training (communications and technical training) lasts for only 6 weeks compared to other companies na at least 10 weeks. now that we're taking in calls, they're blaming us bakit daw mataas Team AHT namin. nyaks?! :bop: :lol:

hi to all!! im also fr the same acct as panday pira and the others.
im also one of the pioneers but im originally fr the dial acct and then after a year i transferred to dsl.
i share the same sentiments as the others, im already frustrated with what's happening with the acct. that added burden was a very big mistake, and the management unfortunately is doing nothing abt the sentiments of the agents.
another thing that angers me is the arrival of a lot of new tls that came fr other companies. there are a lot of agents who are very much qualified to become tls, but that stupid mdp just keeps on flunking them. im starting to believe that there's no growth here,agents will remain as agents unless they have a powerful backer.
our sentiments may sound sour graping but its also hard to leave the company, im here for 2 yrs and this is my very first job..but if these problems persists, then i have no choice but look for greener pastures.
sad to hear that.....still being in the company that you have served for the past 2 years really means there is something about the company that you love...and to think that reasons to leave starts to become piled up should mean there is something wrong....and i've also witnessed that since i was with this account for over a year....

but that is not because mdp keeps on flunking them....we have a few agents from our account who became TLs recently...so it means even if you are in that account you can still grow...it just so happened that those TLs who got promoted are already in a different account...good for them though....*okay*

Being already good at what you do here only means you deserve to receive more workload without even a sorry or a thank you from the powers that be. They easily pull out the delinquent ones for some "petiks time" and let the reliable ones take the brunt of an unending call queue. And we all know that this is all for naught for those great old ones because we don't have an incentive plan whatsoever. Convergys has the lowest incentive plan of any decent call center I know. And you pray to heaven and hell that the long wait queue doesn't anger the customer enough to give a dissatisfied survey. And here you are, tired as a donkey on its last legs hoping to get a good evaluation for the month and the quarter for a meager bonus and the hope of getting a decnt increase come the start of the year. Which, is perofrmance-based and could only net you a maximum of 15% and could even go as low as 2% when the mandatory increase set by the labor code I believe is 10%... If the company thinks you really did a piss-poor performance, they should terminate the person rather than insult the person by giving them a 2% increase... And guess what we get for being the top performer for the month or even the quarter... SO! DEX! HO! Not 5k, not 2k, not even 1k! But we get a Php500 SO! DEX ! HO! gift certificate... :rotflmao: As master said, I also miss the times when the circle of 10 of the month got 1.5K and when CVG was still CVG and not TELE***H :rotflmao:

the tech account in ortigas is the most popular diba? during our first few days in transition somebody walked in and asked for feedback. forward daw to OM concerns namin. pero again, it wasn't formal or "professional" discussion namin so i really doubt if people up there would listen. :hmm: or maybe because they're hearing the same concerns since the previous waves pa.

I guess we are lloking at the wrong side of the coin..or at least we kinda forgot to clarify things. I apologize if you feel as if you are on the losing end of the rope, where a "Problem" agent gets more "Petiks" time while you take your calls the entire shift. The training is supposedly designed to address coaching needs for the lower bracket of agents..meaning you're kinda failing for lack fo a better word. I myself understand that being tenured does not necessarily mean you're always good to go, much like a wind-up toy. One of the main concerns or an essential task for a Team Lead is to maintain the caliber of talent your agents have. With this in mind, why dont you approach me (I think you know who I am anyways...just look for the few Wave 1 Team Leads who were previously Tier 2) and we'll see what we can do, neh?

The attrition is really not that high if you look at the percentage. It's just about 8% of the headcount. So if the headcount is 380 agents, the monthly attriton rate is about 30.4 agents! harharhar!

some of us try to make life easier in this account....but then again we're only TLs. I for one advocate an agent's lateral transfer, as I am on the verge of giving up hope on this account. There is no such thing as growth here, but on the overall I still believe that CVG is the best, in terms of name and facilities. It just so happens to be in another account :)

monthly or annually... 364.8 agents lost to attrition may seem big to some, but given that convergys is targeting a headcount of 9500 by end 2006, then the 364.8 doesnt seem too high --- 365 (rounded it up) is about 3.8%
but, all the same, the lower the attrition rate, the better since recruitment & training takes time and money

CCT training. You'll really improve a lot. ika nga " after the training you will have an impeccable command of the english language." you'll be good. and take note, your market value will soar even higher.

monthly or annually... 364.8 agents lost to attrition may seem big to some, but given that convergys is targeting a headcount of 9500 by end 2006, then the 364.8 doesnt seem too high --- 365 (rounded it up) is about 3.8%
but, all the same, the lower the attrition rate, the better since recruitment & training takes time and money
That is just for 1 account. The rest also have attrition ranging from 8-15% of the total headcount.

Check! it's the number 1 call center in the world. And they do have tech support. The offer depends on your experience, no experience you'll probably land in the 13k basic +++ food allowance and transpo. mga 16k siguro aabutin. but if you have six months onwards of call center experience...You can negotiate your way to a higher pay. but the initial offer for experienced reps is always higher than newbies in the business...the environment is really good... hindi ka ma bu burn out.... plus... they have the best and I MEAN the BEST... CCT training. which is the number one nga pala if that's the case? do u happen to know which call center it is...is the basic pay the gauge of which call center is the best? how about a call center which pays a high salary pero toxic naman? how about individual headsets? which would u prefer, having individual headsets pero pag nawala or nasira babawasin sa sweldo mo or just not bother with the responsibility of taking care of a headset na lang? or have maxicare as HMO provider but take away medical benefits from probationary agents...for me i'd rather have intellicare rather than not have medical benefits for probationary agents...which is how it goes with most other call centers...
bottom line is wala naman sigurong call center na mabibigay lahat ng gusto ng agents...eh di sana puro day shift na lang lahat ng call center para masatisfy yung gusto ng nakakarami...but that's not how it goes...it's just a matter of which call center would provide a balance of the things that makes an employee satisfied...pay, working environment, management, opportunity for improvement... things like that...pero if what you want is everything then a good option for you is to look for a call center which can give you everything you want...i hope you can find one...good luck to your search though....*okay*

basta ako I have this mindset na hindi ako aasenso sa CVG, this is just a phase, so long as I can get by and the salary is enough to pay for the bills then i'm good, I can't complain about the work, dahil mas marami dyan mas mahirap ang ginagawa pero ang liit ng sweldo
but when it comes to building my future with the company crap, forget it, i ain't buyin it :)

My friends and I are looking for a friend of ours who seems to have vanished. :bawl: Last we heard, she was working in Convergys. Her name's "Monalisa Cayanan", but her nick's "Munik".
Please help us find her. Does anyone from Convergys know this person?

FRIDAY ba start ng training mo sa CVG? same with me...
CCT TRAINING lasted 2 weeks... tapos its TUES-SAT...
(Monday---off)
VENUE: CVG - INSULAR MKTI (4flr & 6flr)
nag-apply ako sa TELETECH before ending up
w/ that CCT TRAINING in CVG-INSULAR.
(PHONE SIM pa lang hirap na hirap ako sa TELETECH)
so sorry if you didn't pass ACE TRAINING...
ako naman .... di ako nakalusot sa CCT TRAINING
(CVG):mecry:
CVG focuses on grammar, tenses,
prepositions,everything about
sentence construction, american geography/culture,
proper way
of handling calls..../ PRONUNCIATION, ENUNCIATION...
( written exams--- "knowledge
checks" ang MAHIRAP)
18 kami ... & every knowledge check... 1-5 people
LANG ang nkkapasa.... there's like an average grade
( na tipong bagsak ka nga pero pag ina-add up
makakalusot ka naman )
saka PWEDE na yung "AVERAGE" sa ORALS,
& be the "BEST" WITH MOCK CALLS....
TIP: don't get too LOW na less than 45pts sa
knowledge checks (written exam)/
BE PUNCTUAL/ ALWAYS
ABIDE BY THE " english only policy", KAHIT
UMOORDER KA PA NG FOOD SA PANTRY, KAHIT
NASA LOOB KA NG CR... sa elevator pwede ka ng

so FAR SOBRANG SAYA & MEMORABLE yung

lots of GAMES (focuses on TEAM BUILDING)
lots of COMEDY STAND-UP CLIPS na panonoorin
( for familiarization *** ng iba-ibang
accents )
so far ... CCT TRAINING IN CVG... (is the most
meaningful, educational training i EVER HAD)
IT'S the BEST... *okay*
(i've been with two CC.... at medyo "no brainer" yung
CCT/ ACCENT TRAINING, ang "gagawapo" lang talaga
ng mga trainer :naughty:
(kaya siguro ako nakikinig ng
mabuti :lol: , pero hindi kasing ARTICULATE, SELF-
CONFIDENT ng trainer ko sa CVG... babae nga lang

pag - di ka na qualify... sa TRAININGS nila..
walang BOND...

maybe same lang...
basta you abide by the rules/ saka di ka aalis
ng 4 mos. (wala kang babayaran)
eh, bakit yung ka-batch ko dati, tumambling na lang bigla wala naman binayaran. :bashful:

I signed my job offer last week... start sana ko on nov 6 pero di ako pinayagan present employer ko until the end of this mo. Convergys' HR ask me to retun the contract and said they will resked my start date. Ok ba yung acct, di ba toxic? they told me its an outbound collection acct.

will the job offer change (salary wise)? coz they only consider my 10 mos call center experience with my previous employer since i was still in training(till last Friday) when i signed it (oct 31) so they did not consider it as another month. By end of nov , 1 yr na call center experience ko.. will it affect my new job offer since babawiin nila yung contract? or sked lang kaya ng start date ko ang mababago?
anybody, pls enlighten me?

I am starting also Nov 6 but for tech support account. I heard from a friend and also to other peeps who worked with that account... it's the easiest account daw. I would love to go for that account but kinda hard to resist yung offer nila sa akin for TSR.
May bonus cash pa if you pass the CCT and PST training... sayang din yun.
As far as your question. I think they can... since it's going to be a new contract again.
