I am starting also Nov 6 but for tech support account. I heard from a friend and also to other peeps who worked with that account... it's the easiest account daw. I would love to go for that account but kinda hard to resist yung offer nila sa akin for TSR.
May bonus cash pa if you pass the CCT and PST training... sayang din yun.
As far as your question. I think they can... since it's going to be a new contract again.
Good Luck!
thanks!!!!!:)

I am not yet a graduate student but they hired me. As long as you have 3 yrs or more then that will be ok.
Process -
1) Profiling Test - easy... Computer/Networking Test... if u didn't pass that's ok.... then you have to take the Math Test.... problem solving... <easy>
2) Final Interview - Just be confident and be aware of your proper pronunciation, grammar, etc...
3) Testing - Call Simulation Test and typing (easy) Just listen carefully and read the directions.
4) Job Offer - yipee!*okay*
Hardest part is the interview... Just like I said be confident with your answers... I am sure you can do it!!!
Good Luck!!! *okay*

Hi okiedokie,
I pass their interview and CAll Sim last Nov 8. But they tell me that I still need to undergo a speech and grammar training for 10 days. They inform that I just need to wait for their call for training schedule. Until now nobody is contacting me. Can I make a follow up on this? What number? I applied at Convergys Ortigas.
Thanks a lot!

sa CCT may certain percentage na pwedeng
i-consider for "RE-HIRE" (place you to another account
or same account...
"GOODBYE" /

kasi hindi yata nagustuhan ng

di naman nililinaw ko lang kasi sayang naman time and effort di ba nakalogin ka na sa pex na clik mo na convergys thread. the least that you could do is read the previous post of this thread so he or she doesn't need to ask questions regarding a walk-in. unless there's a question about new accounts which I'am aware dahil a friend of mine works in convergys. malay mo prepaid internet card lang gamit sayang naman yung load magtatanong kung pwede mag walk-in ika nga maximize what little resources you have instead of asking questions that are already posted here.

As much as we want to fill up our production floor, we cannot sacrifice the quality of our service by letting those who (unfortunately) fail to pass CCT to make it just because we need to make the numbers headcount-wise.
And yes, I have heard of other centers who ask their trainers (or something to that effect) to pass unqualified trainees just so they can meet their headcount commitments. I actually learned of this practice from a Trainer of one of the bigger centers just recently.
Though this already sounds too patronizing, but even if I were an outsider, I would still find this admirable in a company and their business ethic / Integrity

Nov 27, 2006, 02:10 PM
I even know of companies who impose a bond on their staff who are not well-versed in tech support....put them in a tech support account that require hardware and networking skills but the recruits were not even subjected to a technical exam when they applied...they are then put into technical training that is less than half the length of time of what people with more tech background receive, even sending expat floor walkers who do have a technical background but do not understand the intricacies of the customer management system of the client[the "blind floorwalkers" leading the "blind CSRs"].....result...poor customer service....frustrated agents who are mocked and insulted by customers due to their incompetent training....the agents then later discover that they are required to pay a big bond even if they fail their metrics....non-tech CSRs being subjected to an onerous employment contract.
More profit for an outsourcer that sacrifices proper training in the altar of corporate greed and at the expense of the CSRs[who were deceived into signing an onerous contract], customers of the client and ofcourse the interest of the client.
Just imagine the major rival of this outsourcer even sending the pioneer team to the United States for knowledge transfer while this other company cuts in half the length of the technical training it gives for recruits for its poineer batches who mostly have no technical background! Unethical and an immoral practice!
I think the HR senior people and insiders know this. I do not need to mention names.

The company you mentioned is infamous in the US for overcharging their customers and then saving up on the training expense by hiring people of the wrong fit for the job. It is also infamous for undertraining people who do not have the correct work background! Check the working Filipino thread on this company on how they hired programmers who were not given training for their project but putting a bond on them. I suggest that you do not just let this go unnoticed and prove to us your 'connections'. This company's biggest rival is the complete opposite in terms of giving training to people who do not have the proper work background but show promise and initiative! :bop:
The accounts of this company are in Sykes and Convergys. have you asked how long the CSRs of Sykes and Convergys were trained for the tech accounts? You will be shocked on how short is the product training they give!

Do I understand correctly that the company you are talking about, who gives their employees very short training, is NOT a call center, but a call center client?
So how long are the tech account training periods in CVG and Sykes? (I haven't asked, but I'm asking now :) )

Hi Bok,
Friend was able to show contract to a high ranking executive[D.P.] of a media network for examination on its legal aspect. Yes, the contract was based indeed "in bad faith" as the lawyer put it. Pwede daw gawing grounds to terminate the employment contract. Also confirmed my assertion that the contract can be used against the company to sue for financial damages and that such contracts NEVER won a single case at the NLRC. Buti na lang nakahingi ako ng "augmentation" sa mga kaibigan....was brooding on it for weeks on end. Yes, I was "COUPking" something just in case. Even senior HRD officers of several outsourcers confirmed my assertion that it is unprecendented in its deception and harshness.

Diretsuhin mo na....ACN ba yan???:grrr:

I have faced far greater dangers than the thing you mentioned because of my principles and I have always believed in unpholding what is right. That is how much I value my job in this industry. Same reason why I posted a lot of industry articles here and even in other international BPO/contact center forums where I have been a long time member.
Posting those articles do not really bother me as I have even posted a lot of articles which I have researched in far more sensitive forums relating to stock brokerage, government and military reform/counter-insurgency operations due to my diverse background. Even got PMs from other forums coming from mid-top level police, military, media and government officials commending me for far more controversial posts in other far more "sensitive" forums. PEX is like a "pond" for me as compared to other far more sensitive/dangerous forums which I consider as my "lake".
I now realize why you asked me if it was possible for a new hire to ignore a signed job offer in another thread. It was "loaded".

Magaan na loob ko to leave after extensive consultations[lawyer, senior HRs, media] and can even file for damages. I should have examined PEX more thoroughly on this company before I got in... Sometimes I am still shocked na kung palagi na lang ako ang kailangan pang mag-initiate ng complaint regarding contracts, pay dispute etc... in behalf of my batchmates.

I suggest that you make yourself famous by making your discoveries public by requesting help from your friends who handle investigative journalism. Court litigation and asking for financial damages is not enough ! THE PUBLIC MUST BE PROTECTED. THIS ISSUE IS A PUBLIC MATTER...ILLEGAL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS ARE A PUBLIC MATTER; and thus overrides any confidentiality agreement stipulated in the contract.
IT COULD BECOME A BIG INTERNATIONAL EMBARASSMENT TO THIS COMPANY! ALAM RIN NAMAN PALA YAN NG MGA KAIBIGAN MO DI TARAKAN NIYO NA!

Thanks for the advice, will ponder these things over...kailangan may long term "game plan". Ayaw ko lang padalos-dalos. *okay*
A case arising from an employer-employee relationship is a labor case and can be filed only with a labor court or the NLRC. Your contract is a labor contract as it establishes your relationship with your company So, it will be filed in a Labor Court[NLRC], you will have less worry because labor contracts are always interpreted in favor of labor. Remember, a case in a civil court[RTC] is not proper and maybe dismissed outright since the issue involved is a labor issue.
Our law considers any contract to be binding between the parties only if it is not contrary to law, public policy, morals or good custom, and made freely and voluntarily by the parties concerned.
Eto nga pala yung crux ng aming contention regarding the contract:
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 386
AN ACT TO ORDAIN AND INSTITUTE
THE CIVIL CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES
BOOK IV
OBLIGATIONS AND CONTRACTS
Title. I. - OBLIGATIONS
CHAPTER 9
VOID AND INEXISTENT CONTRACTS
Art. 1409. The following contracts are inexistent and void from the beginning:
(1) Those whose cause, object or purpose is contrary to law, morals, good customs, public order or public policy;
(2) Those which are absolutely simulated or fictitious;
(3) Those whose cause or object did not exist at the time of the transaction;
(4) Those whose object is outside the commerce of men;
(5) Those which contemplate an impossible service;
(6) Those where the intention of the parties relative to the principal object of the contract cannot be ascertained;
(7) Those expressly prohibited or declared void by law.

ALAM MO BA ARAW ARAW GINAGAWA KO NANG PARANG HSI AT KCENTER YUNG GOOGLE SA PAG-TROUBLESHOOT. hahaha OO ang galing ng Google!
sa screen ko 22 windows ang naka-minimize HARHARHARHAR!
Sabi nung lawyer na kinunsulta namin sleazy ang contract at worded in "bad faith". Ano po ba ang bad faith in legal parlance....we can understand what is bad faith when we know the definiton of good faith in legal parlance:
The concept of dealing "in good faith" is one of the fundamental
principles upon which a contract is predicated. The Court may scrutinize every contract to ensure that it was made in good faith and is not
"unconscionable", of bad faith, or created with the intent to defraud the other party. The law permits the courts to resolve issues of unfairness
explicitly, without legal fiction or reference to obscure rules. The court
checks for evidence that the negotiations were fair, the important terms
of the agreement were not deceptively buried in fine print, and the
terms were reasonable rather than exorbitant. The intent of contract
should not be to take unfair advantage of the other party, but rather to
come to mutually beneficial arrangements.
We then compare notes.

Convergys Ortigas is located (for applicants) on the 24th and 25th floors of the Robinsons Equitable Tower. RET is the green tinted building with silver metallic linings beside the Holiday Inn. From EDSA, just walk along the street between Poveda and Galleria and RET will be at the corner; or pass by Ortigas avenue heading to Rosario then turn right at the 1st corner from EDSA (where Crown Plaza is at the corner); else, pass through the Galleria Mall and head to the ADB ave. exit (where TGIF and Gold's are) then turn right.
Business Casual Attire:
For Men: Long or short sleeved button down shirt, slacks or khakis and leather shoes
For Women: Blouse / tops with sleeves, skirt or slacks and closed toe shoes
NO JEANS! NO SNEAKERS!

Actually, it will not hurt you to go in for the interview. First and foremost, it will give both sides (you and Convergys) the chance to get a feel for one another. You can ask what the job's specific requirements are but most likely whatever technical skills you may have up to this point will be undoubtedly be augmented by the training that will be provided PRIOR to taking in actual calls.
Second, after the interview and like any other job application process, you may be given a test which will actually gauge if you will be a fit for the actual job role.
Also, your HRM studies might actually get you a leg up since being a TSR means providing quality customer service which I would assume was taken as a basic course in that program.
All in all, whatever that will be required from you to perform your job (if ever you do pursue and get accepted) will be provided by training and support from your Team Leader and other support staff.

Last I know, you can ask to be assigned to a different site during your interview. It's better to get that out ahead of time, rather than accept the job offer from a site where you wont be happy and therefore productive.
If you really want to be part of Convergys, ask these types of questions since it also shows that you are already thinking past the job offer and forward into where you want to work to maximize your time and productivity.

I am really disappointed with Convergys Ortigas. I got terminated for taking care of my new born baby.
Here's the story...
December 17, 2006 was the birth date of my new baby. I'm not married. I asked my supervisor that I need to file LOA so I could take care of the baby as well as the mother. I can't avail of Paternal Leave (not married) nor Single Parent Leave because I don't have the so called "Single Parent ID" from DSWD. I wasn't given a chance to file the LOA because the supervisor wouldn't want to, instead had me use my VLs for it. I started to leave work as early as December 10 or 11 because I have to be with the mother. The baby's expected to come first or second week of December according to the OB. We experienced several false alarms at that time until the 17th.
The 12th day of my VL fell on the 25th of December. I was told by the supervisor that I need to report to work on that day. So I did. 26th was a rest day, then took the 12th VL 27th.
Now I need some more time off work because there were some complications on the mother's side. She had blood transfusion, took some antibiotics and so on...
So I asked the supervisor again if I could file LOA. And a big "NO" slapped on my face.
Honestly I lost interest of coming back to work after the situation. I got no support from the immediate supervisor and the company, the fact that she knows my situation. I asked for options on how I could leave work without me getting kicked off because of absences. I took care of the baby the following days until January came. Since I had a very hard time going to work because of lack of sleep, I had a few absences after December 27th (my last VL for the year 2006). Whenever I send an advise to the supervisor that I wouldn't be able to report to work, I get no replies- ALWAYS (I don't know why she's not getting my messages but my teammates does)(this is the same issue with my teammates who wants to report to the supervisor if he/she can't go to work). So I always contact my teammates specially the one assigned for the team attendance so that it wouldn't be marked as NCNS. January, again I asked for LOA and still got a "NO". Since I got no choice, afraid of being terminated and need to leave work immediately because I really need more time taking care of my baby and the mother, I came up with the decision to send an immediate resignation letter to the supervisor on the 15th of January. But the supervisor was not around, on leave. I know for a fact that the letter was SENT to her the same day by the "in-team QSP"! After I sent the resignation letter I never came back to work. I know there's no such thing as immediate resignation but it depends on the situation. I thought my situation is enough, I'm afraid not- for them!
I came back 2 days after...December 17. I was shocked to hear that I was already terminated. Tried to send a message to the supervisor but got no replies.
January 18 or 19 I came back at the office. My teammate who has just resigned was talking to the supervisor on the phone. I had a chance to talk to the supervisor on the phone after she has talked to my teammate and said that I just need to give the clearance form to her and will not accept my resignation letter.
Early morning today I talked to the Operations Manager, not begging for reconsideration but just to hear my side. The OM said that if the resignation letter was forwarded or presented to him by the supervisor and was told about the situation, they would've accepted my immediate resignation. But the sad thing is...I NEVER got any replies from the supervisor after sending the resignation letter.
Same day today, waited for the supervisor so we could talk personally just like what the OM suggested. Now it's up to the supervisor if it would be a termination or a resignation.
The supervisor was firm about the decision and wouldn't bother to hear my side and wouldn't consider my situation.
Sadly, I left the building with the clearance form on my hand with the signature of the Supervisor and the Operations Manager. TERMINATED.

my team mate is a single mom of two kids a 3 mos old baby and a 6 yr old boy. she filed for LOA last dec 23,2006 - january 3, 2007 because her yaya needed to go to the province for the xmas season. the leave was granted but she was asked by the OM to sign a waiver that if she would be on SL once, she is automatically terminated. she did sign. tsk...tsk...tsk...

You mean she was allowed to use her VL on the condition that she cannot use her SL anymore? That doesn't seem to make sense, and looks bad for the company.
Could somebody here explain exactly what Convergys' policy on extended leaves are? For example, can I use my 15 VLs and 15 SLs all at once? (One month leave, for example.)

miss ko na convergys. hayz... eto ko *****. nagttrabaho sa ibang call center. pero bilib ako sa convergys. ni minsan indi ako nadisappoint sa kung papano sila maghandle ng agents nila. i stayed there for a year and a half and until now, if given a chance, i'd like to re-apply. hahahaha... in all fairness to convergys. tama sila. they don't care if wala silang makuhang tao. they cant sacrifice the quality of work dahil lang sa headcount. before i left the company. tumambay muna ko sa recruitment lobby ng ortigas site. nakakalungkot kasi dun ko nakita kung gaano kahirap pumasok sa isang call center na gaya ng cvg. i stayed there for 3 hours. 20 batches ng panel interview ang sinubaybayan ako. its sad na maraming batch ang wala man lang nakuha ni-isa. that was hard since as an employee back then, i know na kelangan na talaga namin ng tao yet sinasala parin nila talaga *** mga applicants.
i admire this company so much. its true, the PST is not enough para ma22nan mo lahat ng kelangan mo esp if its ur first time. 1st time ko sa call center nun kasi kakagrad ko lang and sa tech account pa ko napunta kahit indi nmn talaga ako masyadong technical na tao.
[i]dun nga *** sa nagsabi na walang technical exam, meron po. may technical exam ako... that was 2 yrs ago.[i]
but they were able to teach all the basics. at least the basics. anyway ma222nan mo lahat sa floor and makikita mo lahat ng kelangan mo sa agent support databse. magagaling din ang mga floor walkers (floor support team). sa training bond nmn. keilangan un e. the best and CCT nila. and kung talagang indi ka pwedeng isabak sa floor, indi ka isasabak sa floor. convergys is pay-for-performance. so if you are performing well. you will get your monetary rewards. hindi rin sila nanghihinayang na magtanggal ng tao if kailangan. kasi naniniwala sila na mas marami pang tao na mas matino at mas fit sa job. customer satisfaction comes first. kaya kung *********** agent ka, you better think twice.
anyway, i wanted to thank this company for everything i've learned. you taught me a lot. more power! u guys are the best! :)

Here's my experience:
My interview was at 10 a.m. I was told to arrive at 9:30 to fill-in a personal data sheet, so I did. After I filled it up, at 10 a.m. I had my one-on-one interview. Then, wait a little (15 minutes) then go to the computer for E-skills (typing, email composition) which took about 40 minutes, i think. Then, pen-and-paper tech skills test, about 5-10 minutes. Then, Call Center Simulation, approx 50 minutes.
There was supposed to be an "Ordinate" test, but I didn't get it, I don't know why.
After the tests, wait a while (about 30 minutes) for results. Then, job offer. Then, contract signing.
After it was done, I had lunch. I got home at about 3:00 p.m.
Today, I went for my medical check-up at one of their partner clinics, and got my NBI clearance. I'm submitting my requirements tomorrow. I start training on Feb.5.
Yes, it's really fast. I'm very impressed!

Working with CVG in the past 2 years, wala akong nabalitaan na may same situation. I guess that would depend kung sino ang TL and OM mo. I got a teammate who used all her 13 earned VLs without sigining any waiver. Weird... With panjie _nicole, di kaya tinamaan yung blackout dates? di ka talaga papayagan pag ganun. Thanks for clarifying that. Yes, I know there are supervisors/managers who are unreaasonable, or just plain mean, and that's something we inevitably meet at least once in our lifetimes. Yeah, it sucks big time, but that's life.
Of course, some of us are idealistic and diligent enough to fight for their rights, but... that's just some of us :) (myself no longer included. I've grown old and had kids.)
Oh, by the way, what's a "blackout date"?

Oh, by the way, what's a "blackout date"?
Blackout dates are days / weeks wherein petitioned VLs and / or SLs are most likely to be disapproved due to:
1) The expected heavy inflow of calls to the center. Especially for accounts whose clients tend to call most on these dates (example is for a cable TV account during Super Bowl season)
2) The expected number of potential leaves due to the season or occasion. Examples being Christmas, Valentines, Holy Week, and Summer seasons
But those are only for leaves, regular rest days are excluded and can be availed.

My suggestion and as attested to by msbles is for you to walk-in instead. Convergys will process your application as you walk-in from initial interview through testing, final interview and job offer within 4-5 hours.
Convergys, like all other call centers, literally receives thousands of emailed resumes and it takes time to sift through those.

If you're NOT walk-in, the initial interview IS the phone interview. And when they invite you to their office, the one single interview you get there is the FINAL interview.
And no, as far as i know, it's NOT panel. One-on-one only.
I think the "ordinate" test which i did not get is given only to walk-ins since they don't know yet how you sound on the phone. But I'm not sure. Somebody please correct me if i'm wrong.

Hi! I Hope someone can enlightened me on this situations:
1.) If someone get accused in doing "call avoidance" during shift. What is the policy of the company about this? Is this a ground for dismissal or termination?
2.) If you were under a preventive suspension, how long does this suspension last? 48 hours or 1 month?
3.) If you are under a preventive suspension in the case of call avoidance, will cvg allow the accused to exit gracefully during the investigation or the accused shall wait for the HR decision. And if HR decided to terminate the accused, will the accused have the chance to file a resignation instead of termination?
* I know its not proper to divulge company policies however, advises in this matter would really be a great help. * Thanks.

Well, of course, if your friend doesn't pass the training, that means he/she can't really do the job properly, so they'll have to terminate him/her.

One day processing means you come in, do a final interview to assess your comm skills, and then take the ETC exam which is a computer based call center simulation. If you pass both, you automatically get a job offer.
Hope that helps.

Hi, HansMon, are you with CVG HR? Am a former CVG employee... If I would re-apply for the same position and get hired, would I still have to undergo all the trainings, (CCT and PST)...
Thanks much... :bashful:

^^ hi bourbon, you may reapply six months after your resignation date, provided that you have been cleared by cvg hr, and when hired, you need to undergo all the trainings. you have to provide a letter of intent, recommendation letter from your previous supervisor and a copy of you resume and submit it to recruitment for evaluation.hope this helps :D

Yes, am with HR. You would basically go through a short validation interview with Operations and then from there, depending on how long ago you were with CVG, you will either be asked to redo CCT or if your comm skills are still up to date, be sent to PST. It also depends on the account you were with, and if you plan to re-enter that account or go to a new one.
Hope that helps.

Which 5-day training are you referring to? Both CCT and PST are much longer than that. And if you are already in CCT that means you have ACCEPTED the job offer. You are already a Convergys employee during CCT which means you are salaried and are enjoying all the benefits.

I.
guys, ask ko lang kung ano feedback nyo sa marketing research na account ng cvg for the part timers?
II.
actually, one day hiring ang cvg unless gumaya kayo saakin... i went there mag 5pm na kaya interview lang ako then pababalikin ka nalang for the exams.
III.
pansin ko lang nung 2003 nag apply ako sa cvg at nbigyan ng offer. during that time CVG never gave out booklets on how to pass the exams. now, i was given by my interviewer a booklet (actually more like a pamphlet) giving certain details of the exams and how to pass them.
hmmm...
IV.
also is it normal for CVG HR to use two interviewers per applicant?
last time only one person interviewed me (for the initial interview). but now there was an initial interviewer and later another interviewer, after the first one left the room, for the same initial interview (actually the interviewer said it was the final interview... wow sabay pala initial and final hehe cool).

@HansMon - yes sir i'm currently employed. :)
Your chances of securing a job offer upon completion of English Proficiency Training are dependent on two things: Your communication skills and the EPT provider where you took your course. If you are in a 5-day course, chances are you already have passable comm skills that just need to be honed and sharpened. If you are in a 10 day course, then there are greater areas for improvement that need to be addressed.
Do not focus too much on sounding American but give more effort to being able to communicate your thoughts clearly and in proper English.
Good luck to you sir.

my sched for the reevaluation will be at wednesday ata, hindi pa ko sure kasi yung training center ang magsched sa amin. so far okay naman yung training. mabait yung mga instructors and parang refresher english course lang. although medyo kinakabahan yung buong batch namin kasi yung batch ahead sa amin, mababa ang passing rate sa convergys (i dont want to divluge the exact numbers). as i've said, medyo tiring coz 9am-6pm with an hour break for lunch. mon-friday... pero saya naman sya lalo na pag medyo magkakakilala na kayo ng batchmates mo. karamihan sa class namin, from convergys makati, iilan lang kaming from ortigas. honestly, medyo kinakabahan na rin ako kasi sa wednesday na nga yung reevaluation namin... so i'm keeping my fingers crossed... i'll post here the result of that final, final interview as soon as i can... good luck on your training!

No, there's nothing wrong about asking what the starting salary is. It all depends how you put it. For example, you can say, "Ma'am, I hope you don't mind me asking, but just in case I DO get hired, may I please know what the starting rate would be?"
Of course, you mention this near the end of your interview, not at the start.
Anyway, it's no secret to anybody that most of us who work in Contact Centers do it for the money, primarily. In fact, in nearly ALL jobs, the salary is THE primary motivation. This is true even in your interviewer's case. (You think she does it just because it's fun?) So what's the point of pretending you don't care how much you'll get paid?

Working with CVG in the past 2 years, wala akong nabalitaan na may same situation. I guess that would depend kung sino ang TL and OM mo. I got a teammate who used all her 13 earned VLs without sigining any waiver. Weird... With panjie _nicole, di kaya tinamaan yung blackout dates? di ka talaga papayagan pag ganun. Or, mahina ang TL niya dumiskarte... *okay*
hay..napag-usapan pala me dito..hehe..hay..i would just want to clarify things kahit na-clarify na din ni ace_knight..thanx by the way..
i'm not against cvg or anything..as i've said, i do understand the om's business reasons ika nga..it's just that nakakasama nga lang talaga ng loob after all that time na inipon ko *** leave na un and i had a 2-page detailed itinerary why i was asking that leave..i dunno kung mejo tinamaan ang black-out dates..xe off me during the xmas and new year days that time..
pero tapos na un..and actually di mahina *** sup ko..sobrang bait nya nga cause he's really doing the best he could during that time..un nga lang..tinanggihan ko na rin *** option na binibigay nya sa akin xe i can't compromise everything we have already prepared for para sa mga ganon..so i had to make the choice of resigning instead of being absent..
but here's the thing..my om and my sup are still willing to accept me..di lang talaga nga ***** pwede un hiniling kong leave non..kaya nga sabi ko, i do understand..pero masama lang din talaga loob ko..aun..la lang..nagpapaliwanag lang..ehehehe..ayoko lang din xe bumaho cvg sa paningin ng iba..coz i still love this company..hehe..nambola pa ko..wahaha..la pa xe last pay ko..

It depends on your experience. I, for example, have no previous call center experience and no IT background, so ndi masyadong mataas, pero if compared to my old salary as a teacher, mataas na! Para na akong may mid-year bonus every month! :rotflmao: Ndi pa kasama transpo and meal allowance dun.
And even better, I can look forward to a pay raise as soon as I'm regularized! I love this company :)
Oh, and from what I've heard in other forums, Convergys has THE fastest processing of applicants among all call centers. Kaya lang, mahirap daw makapasok. Only 5-7 out of every 100 applicants pass.
But try mo pa rin. One day process lang naman, nothing to lose. In case you don't pass, at least nakapag-practice ka na ng interview at test-taking :)

There's email support in Ortigas, but I *think* it's for internal hiring only. My trainer told us you can apply for it after you've been on the floor for at least five months.

No idea. I just saw the sign on the area that says "For Email Support Only," so I presume there's email support. It would be strange to reserve computers for an account that does not exist, wouldn't it? And my trainor DID confirm that there was, but she didn't mention which. I'll ask tomorrow :)

let's just put it this way.. may isang account sa cvg ortigas na lalagay ka nila sa voice support... then after a couple of mos. either magstay ka dun or mapunta sa sa email support of the same account... or puede din na sa L2 kna ng account na un...

dude,
totoo ito. nag apply ako and andami kong kasabayan ako lang at yung isang babae ang nakg-fill up ng employment form.
at totoo yung 5-7 people lang ang natatangap out of 100.

You are correct sir. We ARE expanding both in Manila and provincially.

Posts like this really make my day. Nice to see that the changes we've made in our applicant processing time are recognized and appreciated. We are actually still trying to reduce that time from 4 hours to about 2 hours.
By the way, if you fail the ETC (computer based exam), you may take it 2 more times, whether within the same day or if you want to come back the next day.

Have not heard anything about an Xbox account. If so, that would probably be technical in nature.

Hay.
Proficiency test na namin sa Monday (DSL Home Networking). I can't imagine how I will pass. May natutunan naman ako; when we started, I didn't even know what a router was, and now, I do. But how will i troubleshoot over the phone with 2.5 weeks of LECTURE???
If I fail proficiency, will I be transferred to a different account?
