that i'm not sure of. it varies i guess on what kind of CC experience you have. obviously if you came from a CC with a DSL tech acct their offer would be competitive. and they always ask how much you were receiving and what tasks you did in your old job.

i guess what you can try to do is tell them what you get as a complete package, meaning basic + allowances (they're gonna ask anyway). if you think you should get higher tell them why so, if you have any tasks you did more than your usual tasks as an agent tell them also, if you were in line for a promotion etc. you may want to showcase your proficiency aka "techie-ness" and use that as a bargaining tool. overall you got to interview well and do well in the tech exams (if they still have one), it helps build your case on why you should get top dollar (so to speak). but you got to be realistic dude. they usually have limits, no matter how good you are if your previous job if they offer you an amount you'll have to think if you're willing to take it and make the jump. Convergys is pretty fair when it comes to job offers anyway :)

I applied here before, and this guy failed me for a reason i dont know (and will never know). i wanted to ask him why, but i thought that's unprofessional. I believe everything went well during the interview, the only reason that i can think of why he didnt let me in was that i was very confident during the entire duration of the interview (but i was actually very nervous). I was thinking, i should just have worn something very casual ( bec i was quite formal). Anyway, maybe i wasnt meant to be with CVG coz i'm with another company now, and so far, no regrets!

Finally?!? I minutely understand the stated delay in the stock offering but the Retirement benefit? Convergys has only been in the Philippines since 2003, so why would it's employees be clamoring for retirement benefits when at present, the first employees would only be with Convergys for 4 years?

Basically, for me, the Retirement benefit is not a "sa wakas" moment. *okay*

i got a news from my former teammates that Marriane Lim is no longer working for Convergys, she used to be my manager/ Team Leader for CIS there at the Enterprise. i never really thought she left CVG, maybe because of her family... well, for the part-timers here; you probably know her because shes your Data Collections Manager, shes one of the best kept employee of CVG but now shes no longer part of CVG.

agtig pala ng cvg! very professional HR peepz nila! this chubby HR guy approached me while my classmate was still in the testing area, told him am not an applicant, but still managed to ask and discuss basic info bout their tech account.. since tech specialist ako from other company, he was like inviting me to give cvg a try since sure daw sya na never magiging big deal and salary offer specially for experienced tech babies..

sa dell kasi sus yung mga HR staff dun eh di naman mga techie! halatang scripted mga questions then pag medyo info overload na, mahahalata agad na di na nya nagegetz yung topic.. hayy naku..

but that cvg guy, i must say, is one of a kind.. he even asked me kung tama ba pagkakaintindi nya sa main diff. ng router and hub (which was in fact correct).. and if why most ISPs support router-interfaced connection, para makatipid lang .. stuffs like that.. he was just a lil cautious coz madami daw technically competent applicants lately, and of course he didn't want to look like a "palamuti" during his interviews with those applicants..

if anyone of u guys plans to move or apply for cvg, i must say that this company has the best staffs to assist u.. lahat nakangiti, lahat approachable.. which is very very rare sa ibang CCs sa tabi-tabi..

and btw, does anybody know that guy ba? we were chatting like long lost friends but never managed to ask for our names.. weird noh? he's chubby, very clean-looking, may glasses, and a bit mestizo..

i have 95% sure that i might go back here, i'd say theres nothing or no other call center companies out there to match what Convergys has been doing for their employees. its been two years of absence since i last walked-out in this company. im currently employed in other call center company and finally realized that convergys is still with me. cant compare this to others.

In fact, I was deliberating job offers between Convergys and a Mobile Telco company almost a year ago. Convergy's offer included more compensation than the telco's by a small margin but the telco offered me a car plan up front...

Although both were good opportunities I went with Convergys

Needless to say, I'm happy I did. The car plan doesnt matter as much since I'm enjoying my work, the professionalism and career growth I have received to date.

Hi sa DSL account din ako sa PBCOM. Anyway 2 weeks na ko sa floor. So far nage-enjoy naman ako, ang dami ko natututunan. Kaya lang sobrang nahihiya na ako sa mga ka-team ko kasi I'm the reason why their stats are going down. Tapos I'm not even sure if I can survive come regularization time kasi dahil sa sobrang baba ng stats ko. I suck. Olats talaga ako sa technical side. Kakahiya pa naman kasi Com. Sci. major ko nung college. Haha. So yun I'm scurred. Ito pa naman ang job na tipong mage-enjoy talaga ako kaya lang yun nga lang baka they wouldn't wanna keep me. Paano kaya kung bumawi na lang ako sa attendance? So far wala pa naman akong absence eh pero meron akong late, mga 1-3 minutes kasi di ba di in synch yung time sa TKS saka avaya tas nauuna yung avaya eh ang sinusundan ko TKS so un late ako. Er yeah too much info but ya dunno I'm kinda venting kasi I'm super pressured. My TL is ok naman, he's sorta lenient but almost everyday we do huddles and like in a way sobrang nae-emphasize na wala akong kwentang ka-team 'cause I'm dragging my team down at araw-araw nangyayari yun so yun nakakabaliw. Paano ba i-access ang rooftop ng PBCOM? Parang gusto kong punta dun para dire-diretso na kong tumalon.

3 of the country's top call centers are all in makati (magkakalapit pa).along buendia and paseo de roxas lang ang people support and convergys.while sykes have a branch at burgundy tower and that is located in front lang ng post office.(go directly to the 34th floor).

for salary inquiries: all between 12-15k halos ang range without the hazard pay, night diff and other benefits.other benefits kasi will depend sa account minsan.and dont worry, you may start with a low salary but if you'll make it after 6 months you'll be assured of an increase.and the amt of increase will depend on your performance as well.what is the best thing about working esp at sykes is the health care privilege esp sa mga married people.imagine you'll have a healthcard for yourself and two more dependents for free(that's for married lang ha,pag single *** lang free).
let say this:though i was saddened that my daughter is in makati med right now, i feel a little relieved bec i wont be paying any cent plus the comfort and service that the credited hosp have.:D

its normal!, definitely normal for starters to feel that way, masyado pang maaga para magalala about your stats because you are just starting. of course there should be some improvement, TL's would understand that and tenures. its their job to assist you and coach you. take things one step at a time, don't try to push yourself too hard, make a progress and learn from every mistakes that you've done. for some it usually takes 3 months before you can master a product including the system, programs, tools that you are using or to get familiarized. you will be fine trust me *okay*

CVG has part-time position.
a bit of an idea, you will be a market researcher conducting some interviews to a specific client(s). its very easy and very flexible *okay*
you will be working for 4 days for 4 hours per day, but you are required to work 5 hours during sundays or saturdays. youre required to have at least one of your weekends to attend to work.

well, basically, its just like any final interview... calm ka lang dapat... tapos pakita mo na may natutunan ka dun sa ept mo... if ur not used to the am accent yet, i advised u not to push the issue.. dress to impress ka din dapat... and maganda kung early ka for the interview... they will usually ask you what u learned during ept... explain mo lang in a coherent manner... tapos they will probe which particular topics ang nagleave ng mark sayo... ganun lang naman...

this is very true for CVG. the company is great, if only it was easier to transfer between accounts and sites not just within a country but across different countries that has CVG offices in them, i probly wouldnt be looking around.

I just want to know the negative things in convergys para i would know if I can handle it....

the negatives of cvg are:

1) office politics
2) favoratisms
3) problematic superiors
4) etc.

NOTE: these negatives would exist in any other company you see on the planet. so i suggest you look into the positive side instead of the negative. if the positive looks really good in comparison to the generic negatives then that would be a nice company to work for, generally.

yup, to my knowledge, only SL is convertible to cash whereas VL has to be consumed since it is neither convertible nor transferred to the following year... basically, you forfeit what you dont use.

Yes, SLs are convertible to cash ..
only 5 VLs are convertible to cash tho ,, so u have to consume all ur VL credits and leave 5 unused..

Convergys, per se, is a good company.

I'm from CVG Alabang.

It was total disruption of what a call center is.(Sorry pero eto ang totoo)

Wlang sariling headset, foamies lang.

Walang sariling station, pag break mo o kaya pag lunch mo, automatic i-lalogout ka ng OPS (they call it MOD, Managers On Duty).

At higit sa lahat, napakabagal ng system, panahon pa ata ni Mahoma.

I would want to stay sana, kaso being in that situation, naawa ako sa sarili ko. I've been to big contact centers na siguro kaya nagdedemand na ko..

Convergys as a company hanga ako.

1. You can call the CVG One 3/F Reception at 581-5887 and then ask them to transfer you to the appropriate department for your training schedule.

2. Don't have an idea about the account. But expect the unexpected... You'll never know until you get there but according to someone I know from citicards, ok daw dun.

4. Promotions can take place as early as the 5th month but you have to be a "promil kid" for that to happen. metrics? sorry i cannot divulge these information since it might violate our confidentiality agreement. you'll get there once you pass the cct and pst training. then you can ask your TL about it. good luck!

since most of your calls would queueing, its logical that you would be talking to more irrate people to non-irrate ones...
about promotion in convergys...i dunno but in our company, if the people on the higher level (you want) wants you to be in their team, e.g., qa or training team, it would take around 3 months then you get promoted...i think this is similar to most call centers. but like pinoypexer said, you must stand out from the best. yeah i just said best, its not just all about how you communicate, but make sure you know your product very well too. it also helps if your client's representative sees your perseverance. ;) your future would surely shine bright...:D

i dont think about the salary, but for my situation they gave me an "extra". i really depends on how long have you been out there since you resigned the job in convergys. you can always go back; unless you have a bad records with them (convergys) they are so strict about that. they put me back to cct and pst because i resigned the job sometime in 2005 and i came from a different account.

ye ye i think you gave me your number, I can remember you from last year I guess. You used to work for convergys right? I forgot your story actually. How has it been since then?. Its alright there are just some people here that doesnt have senses to know what is the purpose of this thread. Just dont mind them. We all have some frustrations in our company, I have frustrations also here in Convergys. Convergys will never be a perfect company; take it from me. There are some things that they couldve exteded more, like the salary (fair enough though if you really dont need it much above the company), i saw a CVG department that some of the agents doesnt have their own headsets so they have to borrow each other's HDs, an outdated computers, some of the computers there in Enterprise site are so outdated, those little things. Well, like everyone else's point of view "there is no such thing as a perfect company", lets just take these things as a blessings, because its really hard to get a decent job these days honestly. These Call Centers here in the Philippines has been giving great opportunities for us to take advantage of, just imagine if we dont have these call centers here right? I would probably end up somewhere inside a mall and sell stuff :-) . So from hereon agents,TL's, HR, managers, etc lets respect each other's feelings because why are we here in pinoyexchange.com anyway right?, We are here because we need each other, to help, to be updated, to inquire, to check what others might have to say about US but with respect.

Dont worry I wont give your number to anyone here. Its still in my inbox. Is that your number that is posted there? I think it isnt yours. Dont be bothered by those people. Nope. I resigned from Siemens/Toshiba tech support end of February Bozz DarthScully. I'm currently helping to manage our family business again. Right now, I'm contemplating if I'd still pursue a tech support position again or just move to another country with my family. I don't really mind which comes first just as long as the next company I'm going to work for is less than 30 mins travel time from where my family resides. :)

effective May 1, EAP (education assistance program) is now offerred to regular employees. you can enroll (master's, certificate courses, etc) and have the tuition reimbursed (25k per annum). not bad!

first was the retirement benefit (3yrs na ako.. 2yrs more.. yess!!!)

trainings always starts on Mondays.
earliest time would be from 6am - 2pm, then mid shift, then graveyard so there are only three shifts.

is that for the "car" account or for the Y! account? or for the telecoms account?

i think the guy said we've to pass these things as late as days before training. but a paper enclosed says no later than 2 weeks after signing. i'm sorry, i was a bit scatterbrained at that time. maybe just a little too overwhelmed.

Most call centers give 30 days' grace period to pass all the requirements. Just tell HR about it and they'll help you out on that.

when did you sign the contract?

the FOUR important requirements should be passed before the start of the training. That would be the NBI,SSS E-1, Certificate of employment or clearance from previous company (if applicable) and transcript of records.

hi, we do have openings for the tech position. and of course the salary is slightly higher if the applicant has more than 6months experience.

yup, the maximum RIDP for a month is 8. so 2 agents per r.a. although, hindi naman every month meron RIDP. the first for this year was last feb. yung sumunod, April. so yes, June nga ulit..

Hi... i'm currently working at cc now and more than a year na ko dito wala parin pagbabago sa account... i mean, no expansion, no future opportunities at pangit management namin.... ngarag ka sa account nila pero not that good sa pay and incentives as in di sapat....
i got interested to join cvg ortigas... pwede po ba ask mgkno sa CSR and TSR now? and nagreregular din ba after 6 months probationary?

Pwede bang i-indicate na i'm for CSR or they will still assess you for tech then pag hindi pinalad eh sa CSR ka....?

I have worked with this company and If you have denied an offer from them, don't kill yourself if you've just made quite a mistake! I have been around the call center industry and I must say that no one can take care of you like Convergys.. Since I left them, I never found anyone like 'em...

For applicants, my advice is to go directly to their office and apply personally. It's usually faster for you get an answer right away. So you'll know if you're in or out. No more wondring and wishful thinking. One of the things that I love about them is their professionalism. When they say 3pm, it's 3pm.. hmmm... Oh yeah, just be patient cuz they will call you when they say they will. GoodLUCK guys!
