For those complaining about the bond!

Hello? Dont you know that CVG is investing a lot of money. And when i say a lot. really a lot and in dollars pa yan, just to get New Hires for a specific account.

We are simply protecting our investments and clients.

If you have plans of resigning after 2 months, then a callcenter isnt a place for you. Guys, dont treat call centers like something you can have for an overnight stay. Its a serious job and can lead you to a good career path depending on how you perform and where ur passion takes you.

This is a company that handle client needs and we have contracts to follow! A Bond is not a threat but a way of protecting CVG in itself and i believe, other call centers.

And if you cant make the job due to schedule conflict, then thats really up to you. I know one of my agent has a night job and studies fulltime. And he is still up and running. it just really depends on you.

Again, Bonds for me is just rightly set and 4 months isnt long. Unless you really dont need a career in CVG. Then i suggest dont apply at a callcenter. We dont need people who'll stay with us just to try or just to gap for the summer. You're making cvg loose money.

i suggest u try other companies and not the BPO industry.

I was from chase fraud. It's challenging to be assigned there. (Mejo mahirap) :D btw, I believe you got the wrong info. CHase already pulled out in CVG. You might want to ask your recruiter about that.

yea.. if ur working for cvg.. the bond wont be that much of a big deal.. 2 months training and then two months in the actual production floor.. that really isnt asking for much especially since you will be taking home around 60k php within those four months..

i like the bond thingy.. it keeps us from getting agents who are inconsistent and who give in to will issues at the snap of a finger.. :D

you can apply to CVG even if you're not yet resigned with Telus.. but as soon as you start working for CVG you must not be connected with them already.. conflict of interest na yun

I do believe that we have recruitment plans for Region 6, although I am not aware on any of those at the moment.

The interview process is pretty straightforward as I have observed a few Agent interviews before and provided my own assessments to the recruitment specialist. What will be focused on are grammar, intonation, cohesiveness of thought and confidence. Basically, practice on extemporaneous speaking would be a great help.

Also, when asked a question, take your time to answer. Think about the question, gather your thoughts and then deliver your response. You're already being interviewed, you got through the door, you don't need to hurry out, right? Take your time and dont rush it. It's when you're pressuring yourself and rushing that can make a crucial mistake.

Another thing, avoid using "ummm", "like" and words repeatedly. Try using synonyms that will show the breadth of your vocabulary.

Applying online can be done by submitting an application via JobStreet or directly to Convergys' email.

As for Bacolod recruitment, our temporary Recruitment center is located in Circle Inn, Lopez Jaena – Malaspina Streets, Capitol Shopping Center, Bacolod City.

Personally, I'd just proceed to the temporary Recruitment center and submit a resume. Processing can be done in a day which includes testing and interviews.

I wouldn't mind being up all night, and I can handle both day and night duties with no problems - but I would just like to know if I will have time to get off Negros Occidental - even if it's once every few months, for one to a few days at a time.

There are two technical accounts in Makati. Just walk in to our ConvergysOne Building. It's at the corner of Ayala Ave. and Salcedo St. (intersection with Makati Med, RCBC and GT Tower). Recruitment entrance is beside between Brother's Burger and Tempura.

you can go home naman siguro because you have your rest days, pero depende sa account kung paano ang scheduling nila. like sa amin, since bago ang account erratic pa kasi we have to cover yun ibat ibang shift, so every 2weeks iba ang sched iba iba din ang rest days kadalasan pa eh split off. but syempre kapag stabilized na yun account eh magiging stabilize na din ang schedule

easy ka lang. hindi naman ako manggagatas ng callcenter. hello ka rin nagwork din ako sa callcenter nun for 3 1/2 years. kung gusto ko lang gatasan ang CVG eh di sana job offer pa lang sinunggaban ko na regardless kung ano magiging sked ko sa class dba. kaya nga issue ang bond for me kahit pa sandamukal sa mga agents (na nagcacallcenter-hopping) hindi naniniwala dito....

Our application process is typically completed within the day. But, that entirely also depends on what time you apply and how many applicants arrive. All in all, testing/s and interview/s would probably take 3-4 hours.

If an applicant fails, I think they can reapply after 4-6 months. I'll have to verify the actual period though.

As with all accounts, whether Customer Care or Technical Support, the working hours would coincide with North American daytime hours so that usually is between 7pm-7am for peak work hours. But, I do know that shifts change over different months.

normally ganun ang nangyayari.. 2 days kung 9hour shift ka or 3days kung 11hour shift ka.. again, depending kung saan account ka mapupunta chaka anu ang demands na client, i dont think HR can also answer that because it's the operations people that handles the schedule/s of the agents. yun iba quarterly magpali, may 2 mos or kapag DST na or balik na sa normal yun time. but for all accounts, they are trying their best na dikit ang restdays ng bawat isang agent

Unfortunately, yes. Occasionally, Trainees fail during either CCT or PST for a variety of reasons. That is true for all accounts.

1. just be natural. they'd rather hear how you speak in a neutralized accent so that if you get accepted any comments of the interviewer regarding the way you speak is forwarded to your language trainer, para dun sila magconcentrate during language training.

2. do your homework. research about the company, they would normally ask you what you know about the company and if you have an idea how call center and call center agents works.

3. dress your part. do come in a smart casual attire since this is also the dress code of the company.

i just want to share my husband's experience with the convergys bacolod recruiting team this afternoon...
he's been working in the call center industry since 2003(etelecare libis) and he's currently a QA. since the only open position in the bacolod site is for TSRs, he applied for it anyway... so went through the initial interview and exams and had the highest scores among his groupmates... right after the communication skills exam, his recruiter informed him that although he passed all exams and got the highest scores among the group, she(the recruiter) said that "he came in too strongly, negatively; and that there's something wrong about his attitude". stunned, my husband asked to speak to her personally to clarify the decision. he asked for a specific incident that triggered her decision, but she couldnt point out any. she just said that she doesnt like his attitude.

now, my husband has a few assumptions on what really happened:
1. he's a native of pasig city, and his sentence inflection comes out as "sarcastic" for some ilonggos(even i think of it this way)
2. she was intimidated by him, because he was asking a lot of questions during the interview(he was just trying to be conversational)
3. he mentioned that she was kind of stuttering while answering questions
4. he probably came out as mayabang, by the way he answered her questions, but he justified that he was just trying to sound confident...

is this a valid reason for not accepting an applicant? when he applied in convergys manila(who said they will forward his application to bacolod but never did), he passed the final stage of the recruitment process.

The interview process is pretty straightforward as I have observed a few Agent interviews before and provided my own assessments to the recruitment specialist. What will be focused on are grammar, intonation, cohesiveness of thought and confidence. Basically, practice on extemporaneous speaking would be a great help.

Also, when asked a question, take your time to answer. Think about the question, gather your thoughts and then deliver your response. You're already being interviewed, you got through the door, you don't need to hurry out, right? Take your time and dont rush it. It's when you're pressuring yourself and rushing where crucial mistakes happen.

Another thing, avoid using "ummm", "like" and words repeatedly. Try using synonyms that will show the breadth of your vocabulary.

I was "spitted-out" from the Commonwealth Branch last Monday.
I had a great experience anyway (I was actually laughing at myself as I left the building), and I believe that has made the difference. I hope to make it next time, so I am seeking advice from you guys.

The HR guy let me take the CCS twice, and I failed twice as well.
(Haha, that's pretty embarrassing! =D)
I'm not being mayabang or what, but I don't seem to get how the test works. I am positive that I followed the instructions, and I am not that dumb to make wild guesses while rating the effectiveness of the different responses given for each situation. Why do you think I failed it? Can you give me some tips with regards to passing the CCS?

Here's another thing that confuses me. Though I failed the CCS twice, this HR guy let me take the Ordinate Exam. I failed it as well (another hahaha for that) but I have personal excuses why it turned out that way. Excuses don't change outcomes so I better keep it to myself. Anyway, why on freaking-earth did he let me take the OE since I failed the preceding test twice? I remember him saying "I want to give you a chance" but what's that supposed to mean?

Was he trying to say that I almost (but not quite) passed the CCS so he gave me the OE to see if I am really good enough? But apparently, it turned out to be a wrong move for him (‘Hahaha’ again) because I messed up the Ordinate Exam. Good gracious! I stayed inside the Recruitment Room until 7pm (I was there since 9am) and I was the only one left in our group, but only to find out that I will not make it. TRAUMA is the word for it.

Give me some advice CVG peeps!

normally, the final one is when you are being interviewed by one of the team leaders or operations manager. they would just like to know if your personality would fit in to their program. it depends on what program you are applying for. they would ask situational questions that would bring out your personality, how much are you interested in taking the job.

Best bet is to let the Recruitment Associate / Specialist know that you intend to complete your degree while working for Convergys. It's important to let them know well ahead since it might play a role in which program you will be considered for.

Our application process is typically completed within the day. But, that entirely also depends on what time you apply and how many applicants arrive. All in all, testing/s and interview/s would probably take 3-4 hours.

If an applicant fails, I think they can reapply after 4-6 months. I'll have to verify the actual period though.

As with all accounts, whether Customer Care or Technical Support, the working hours would coincide with North American daytime hours so that usually is between 7pm-7am for peak work hours. But, I do know that shifts change over different months.

It is a one day process. But if you wait, they'll be holding another Job Fair in Iloilo in April - I heard from Sourcing that they plan to hold fairs monthly.

You could try going to Bacolod early in the morning, and if you're lucky, you might be able to come home before 5 pm.

Or, I could hand-carry your resume and ask when the next intake will be.

i dont think that we can compare both companies. oo pareho sila ng nature, call center sila but malaki ang difference nila. HSBC is limited to HSBC, unlike CVG na maraming account na hinahawakan. so saan mo ibe-base ang toxicity ng work? are we going to look at both as a whole? or the whole of HSBC which is financial in nature and one the financial accounts of CVG?

AKO SI . . help naman po.. i was an employee of cvg in alabang under sprint acct almost 4 yrs ago... twas my first cc exp and 2 wks after i passed the training ndi na po ako nakapasok for a very personal reason but i have informed my TL about it but wasnt able to pass a resignation letter so AWOL na po iyon . . a year after that i have worked in 2 CC and nothing on those 2 CC i can compare the benefits that CVG gave me.. possible pa po kaya na ma re-hire ako? i believe everybody deserves a second chance.. if ever po kasi apply sana ko jan sa CVG one sa technical acct *** me 20k bonus. .

I don't have one yet so the Convergys recruiter gave me the TIN registration form (form 1902) for the BIR, which was needed to be filled up and submitted to HR Insular during CCT according to the guidelines. However, it also says in the guidelines that the TIN is needed for the initial requirements to be submitted at CVG1 BEFORE TRAINING. So what do I really do? Need help from Cross or any CVG employee. Thanks.

as far as i know it's somewhere around 14-15k, perks and bonuses? well depende na sa account yun, some accounts have their own kind of perks and bonuses.. but the one's from cvg is the quarterly bonus and yun ibang benefits like EAP (education assistance program)

bakit naman pag may 2 absences ka for the month, di na ibibigay yung bonus mo for that month.

as far as i know, kapag may 2 absences ka malaki na ang effect nun sa scorecard mo, so you wouldn't pass the metrics set to get the bonus.

2years ako ngtrabahao sa CVG bago ako nagresign at naging chat support sa di gasinong kilalang company (basic take note 17K kahit fresh grad) , pero i have no regrets, diyos ang turing sa company n yan kasi, sobrang asar n asar ako dahil iba turing sakin nung training period. maangas pakinggan kasi salang sala ang mga agents jan bago ka makapasok ****. tech account ako, newbie fresh grad, 14k sahod ko, bago ko umlis dahil sa katamaran nasa 20k n sya.

bottom line maangas talga sya pakinggan. pag galing ka sa CVG lalo n pag taon inabot mo, tatangapin ka sa lahat sa sobrang bangis ng exams nila. 1 our of ten *** pumapasa. eto ang sabi sakin nung ma wavemates ko dito sa new company na pinasukan ko

hmm.. parang never ko ata nasabi napaka toxic sa convergys? paquote naman nun post ko na yun kung san mo nahanap na sinabi ko yun (thanks!) :D personally, i think sa paghahanap ng trabaho hindi lang dapat basic pay ang consideration ng isang job hunter, dapat pati stability ng company, career growth at yun overall success ng company. so nasa bawat applicant na kung alin CC yun para sa kanya.

1st of all I had high grades in the technical exams..
then I had initial interview w/ 7 other applicants..
I was really confident during & after my interview..
I thought I answered okay & I'm really confident..
But, unfortunate I didn't passed..
I was shocked, only one within my group passed..
Auko sana magsay ng bad thing about the company
kasi people there were really accomadating pero yung
isa na nakapasa hinde talaga nia nasagot ng maayos
yung question & she's fidgetting kaso Ateneo graduate..
Kung di man ako nakapasa, from my own point of view kung isa
lang talaga pipiliin samin there is one w/ my group who's really
good in english kaso like me she's undergraduate..
Ewan siguro nagbabawas lang ng applicants coz super dame
namin that day.. Nakakalungkot lang talaga kasi madali tanggapin
if I didn't pass in the last exams pero the initial interview was
really easy..
I really want to work in this company pero siguro coz
Im unable to finish my college course I'll just apply in not soo sikat na company kasi Convergys is really mataas ata for me!!

yup we have a sign on bonus.. during our wave it's 20k then as far as i know 15k na lang for the succeeding waves, sana binalik nila sa 20k uli. but definitely meron *okay*

what kind of training are you referring to? CCT or PST? kasi kung CCT, insular is really the training ground for CCT. pero kung PST nde ako sure pero baka nga dahil may renovation kaya temporarily eh nasa insular ang training

pano ko malalaman kung ano yung training schedule ko? sa Mon. na kasi yung start. nasa province pa kasi ako kahapon. tumatawag yung cvg di ko nasagot kasi late ko na nakita na tumatawag sila. napansin ko lang nung nasa bus na ko. tumawag ulit sila di ko nanaman nasagot kasi lowbatt na ko at di ako nakapagcharge (fault ko di ko napansin na lowbatt na ko at nagmamadali kaming umuwi) eh malayo pa naman ako sa manila nun mga 9 hours pa ang byahe. so wala talaga di ko masasagot tawag nila dahil mag batt empty na. nagtext sila nireplyan ko sabi ko tuloy pa rin ako sa training. nung una kasi napostponed kaya di natuloy kaya na-adjust yung start ng training ko. eh ngayon walang sumasagot sa recruitment yun pala close sila. pano na yun? anong oras ba kadalasan nag-sstart ang training? 1st of all I had high grades in the technical exams..
then I had initial interview w/ 7 other applicants..
I was really confident during & after my interview..
I thought I answered okay & I'm really confident..
But, unfortunate I didn't passed..
I was shocked, only one within my group passed..

kasi people there were really accomadating pero yung
isa na nakapasa hinde talaga nia nasagot ng maayos

As such, while we grow, we aim to grow our own people. Hence, it is sowing misinformation to say that growth in Convergys is limited.

as far as i know walang tech account sa commonwealth, sa otigas at makati lang meron. L2? depende kasi kung may experience ka or wala, kung may experience na how long na at anu pang ibang skills ang meron ka. L2 still takes calls, while we have MOD (not SME) who takes in calls but they talk with L2s not customers. while for TLs, im not sure kung may opening ngayon, kasi CVG builds from within, meaning uunahin ang mga employees na offeran ng TL position, the only time na magsource out sa labas eh kapag wala na talaga makuha sa loob.

the growth that u're saying is the growth of the company but not the growth of an employee. my cousins are in convergy's. mas nauna pa sila sakin mag callcenter, pero hanggang ngayon 15K pa rin sweldo nila? what do u mean by growth? eh there's no such thing as promotion. para lumaki sweldo mo, u should be promoted to TL, w/c i think is very hard since politics is just everywhere. IMHO lang po. im considering to move to cvg commonwealth, dahil sa ilang gulong lang nandon na ko, and if possible not as agent post. i dont want to take in calls anymore, unless tapatan nila sweldo ko which is 26K, which again i doubt kung ibibigay nila!

you misunderstood me sorry, sa sobrang tatag n nya ang hirap mapromote unlike sa mga newbie na call center, i was with CVG din TL ko OM na sa bacolod, kaso nga lang sa mga agents mejo limited slots ****. *** iba pa nga samin bagsak sa interview dahil sa tenureship, months p *** daw kasi kame at priority nila SQ di HN. nung lumipat ako sa iba ayun promoted gad, just saying the truth, am not bad mouthing the company that nurtured me for 2 years

they do accept undergrad, team mate ko nga date 2nd year college p ***, wag ka dumercho sa CVG dahil fish market don, akyat ka sa 36th floor sa teledevelopment. dun ka magexam, at magpainterview tas ibababa ka nila sa 25th o 29th n ata ngyon , 80% ng pinadaan ko dun, nasa production floor na, good luck!

i think sabay naman yun growth ng company against sa growth ng employee. more sites means more accounts, more accounts means more agents, more agents means more TLs and more TLs means more OMs.

kung sweldo naman ang usapan syempre kung nauna sila eh medyo mas baba pa talaga and mahirap naman icompare sa ibang company kasi syempre magkakaiba yan ng salary bracket. pero every year may increase naman based on performance so nasa kanila na kung gusto nila magperform or nde. and it's hard to believe na 15k pa rin sila after 2 or 3years kasi may ofismate ako wave 1 sya ng Chase and yet nde naman sya nastuck sa initial salary nya.

CVG build from within, kung gusto mo maging TL sa amin or any position higher than an agent you have to start being an agent, not unless wala na kami makita sa loob ng company, that's the only time na titingin sa labas.

we do have agents na 28k ang sweldo but still, i cant say na tatapatan nila yun 26k na gusto mo, depende yan sa skill set at exposure mo, they have a salary bracket that they follow.

Yup! I'm an undergrad myself, and I just got accepted into a part-time position. All you need to bring is your resume, three character references (profs are recommended) a valid ID, and a pen.

Thanks to ako si.. for offering to help me apply here but when I went to PinoAgents for my screening, they sent me immediately to cvg and I ended up doing a walk-in.
I finished initial interview yesterday, took the profiling exams and final interview earlier today. The interviewer recommended me to attend a 10 day english proficiency training before they make their decision... :(
If I attend that training will I be hired because I'm thinking maybe I'm wasting time...:(

Lionell, you were definitely accepted. At Convergys, applicants that may have had borderline passing marks for communication skills are recommended to undergo the English proficiency training. As the case with any company, there are probationary periods wherein new hires are evaluated prior to being regularized.

The same thing applies in your case, just that, you have an extra "probationary period" that you need to go through which is the English proficiency training.

Look at it this way, you will receive English proficiency training from Convergys that will improve your communication skills. The company will invest in providing you the skills to contribute, it's basically a freebie training for you. I'd suggest you take it, if you make it through, all well and good and onwards to further Training... but, if you don't then you still received training that will assist you in other opportunites (hopefully it doesnt happen)
