...tinawagan din ako ng Convergys for simulation last week pero too late na kasi i was hired sa AIG-BPSI. There are other PS employees who moved to AIG kasi maganda rin naman ang offer nila. i don't think it depends sa experience mo sa call center. saken maliit lang din ang offer e..kaya in the end i turned it down din. it's not always about the money, sa tao din. masaya ko sa call center ko ngayon kasi ibang klase work environment dito. ambabait ng tao (though hindi lahat), hindi sobrang strict, di kailangan business attire, tsaka basta...nung una naisip ko kuripot samen, pero naisip ko, im not being pressured naman and im gettin good money. pero eto, ngayon mejo nagiging mahigpit na. mageexpand e. natatakot siguro maleft behind kasi dumadami na talaga call center dito. minsan naiisip ko baka mali ang choice ko na hindi lumipat sa convergys. pero ok lang, konti na lang promoted na ko, mataas na level ko, so pag lilipat man ako, malaki na worth. =) regarding sa ict, malaki nga daw ang starting nila lalo na kung may call center experience ka. di man sila ganon kakilala, malaki ang offer. pero hard selling daw dun..verizon yp. may inbound din daw. at eto, ang inbound nila may commission daw! tinext na ko na exam bukas. kaso may work e...pag dito baka lumipat ako..hehehe..aabot ng 20plus thou ang sahod e...aba..kahit rep lang happy na ko nun! plus commish pa...wow!

Am on CCT n my sked is 6a-2p. I find it hard to wake up early in the AM. U know I've been in the GY, if not mid-shift for ages. Haay, may late na nga ako so I've adjusted my alarm clock to be on time for the succeeding days.

You could actually submit your papers to the persons at the frontdesk. That's what I did before.

Training's great! There's a lot of stuff that other call centers don't have. I tell you, there's a lot to look forward to! Welcome to the family...:D

Most call centers have training bonds for employees. Convergys is one of them, however, the terms are realistic and practical - not disabling.

Hello, Folks!

Just got here again, been busy lately. I am having my orientation with Convergys on the 25th, thursday. I was also assured that I'll be assigned to the position I wanted. My conversation with the interviewer took appox. 1 hr and it was a very good one.

I am just wondering... How soon will the training commence once I have accepted the offer? I have more than 5 yrs experience in the Customer Service Industry (almost 4 yrs - Technical), I hope the offer would be excellent. Also, I am a college undergrad so I consider myself greatly blessed. Thanks, Convergys! You won't regret it!

FYI, have submitted my application via e-mail to Ward Howell, 77global and Convergys; online - Job Street; personally handed at Convergys, 7/F Enterprise Tower II. Ward Howell responded and the process went through: interview; exams - general english, technical and typing; then referred to Convergys for the Simulation. Afterwhich, I was given a confirmation letter for the final interview.

I was very impressed with the Simulation, it was very systematic and organized. It's a software-based Simulation which is really like the real thing! I don't mean to brag but after the Simulation, I was told by one of the HR Personnels that I did well. I believe and considerably, it's the most challenging part of the recruitment process. As with the Interview, just remember to have a rapport with the Interviewer and be comfortable. The exams are fairly basic - even if u don't ace it, you should still pass (unless otherwise... hehehe).

Any plans on having an EB for Pexers at Convergys? If there is, please count me in. I am very excited to work with the best in the Industry - Convergys and it'd be a pleasure to meet all of you wonderful people.

It depends on your experience. My brother is working in another call center for almost 2 years now. He was offered by Convergys only 15k + 1K allowance i think and night differential of 20% plus quarterly bonus na ilang percent lang din. Nag-sign na sya ng contract and his training date is 1st week of October.

Hayun awa ng Diyos, he turned it down.

I also work in a call center pero if i will be offered this, di bale na lang. I'm happy where i am now. Mas mataas pa din sweldo ko dito plus the people are great too not to mention the working environment and the casual attire ( kahit magpambahay ka ok lang. Bawal ang jacket dito dahil blanket ang mas uso). They also offer free professional development training to its employees.

Pero if you don't have any call center experience or if you come from call centers that pay less, ok na rin if you will be offered this much. I have friends

By the way, did you say BELL SOUTH? good luck if you will be assigned to that account. Expect a lot of irate callers especially if it's their telephone service. BELL SOUTH has or had an account with one of the call centers here and the experience was so DREADFULL! Bulok kasi ang service ng BELL SOUTH lalo na pag telephone service.

I am an undergrad and NO call center experience but I aced the tests. Like you I also have a lot of experience in PCs--troubleshooting, programming, setup, etc...

I submitted my resume to WardHowell, got a reply after 2 days, an interview after a week, call center simulation at convergys a few days after, and in less than a week, I was signing my employment offer.

Don't expect much muna for the pay, they only offer the minimum for those with no call center experience but if you look at the benefits, it'll be worth it. Not to mention you're going to be with the BEST in the world!

I got assigned to the Tech CSR division and I'll start on Nov 6.

Bottom line is, Convergys is an equal-opportunity employer and as long as they can see that you can do the job well, they are willing to look away from the fact that you don't have a college degree.

Sweetie, all I can say is that whichever call center you decide to go, you'll always have irate callers. All I can advise you is to choose the best...and we all know who the best is right?:dance:

Bond? I don't remember being told that there's one.
No outbound programs for now.
Operations in Ortigas soon.
Tech Support is one of the services being provided. Proper training is given to those who are qualified to be under that program, whether you're a techie or not. If you want to be a CSA, you can apply for the customer service program too, I guess.

I took my simulation test last Saturday, I passed but I was asked to undergo a 2-hour tech training the following Monday at 77Global. During the training, we (about 20 of us) learned that the training was for those who got 12-14 out of the 20 tech questions in the simulation (the passing was 15). So after the training, we took the exam again...I'm pretty sure I perfected the exam (since it was just the same as the first one).

Is it true that not all of those who underwent the training will be invited for a final interview? What will be the basis of 77Global in recommending to Convergys the people to be invited for final interview?

Just got home from my final interview with Convergys. Mabuti naman at natanggap ako...haaay. Most probably sa Tech Support ako mapupunta. Ok yung nag-interview sakin. Binigyan pa niya ako ng advice. Pag-isipan ko muna daw mabuti kung tatanggapin ko yung job offer nila. Kasi daw, based on my answers in the interview, parang sa hard core IT stuff daw ako mas inclined. Opportunities for career growth are provided. In fact, 10 of our technical agents are now undergoing a training program for TL-ship and we just started operating in Sept. Imagine, 3 months pa lang on the floor, may chance nang maging TL.

But that's because they got in earlier than the rest did. Syempre pag malaki na yung population, the competition will be stiffer. It still pays to be an early bird. :)

Di pa sure kung tanggap ako sa Accenture. Naka isang interview pa lang ako. Pero I'm confident na matatanggap naman ako. Di na kasi masyadong attractive ang accenture kasi di na katulad yung training before 9/11. Tsaka over-worked daw yung mga tao dun. Kaya yun...Not the best pay? Mataas naman sa Accenture ah...kaso nga lang, misan parang mababa kasi over-worked nga yung mga tao. Nway, do you work for accenture?

Bottomline is, di pa rin ako makapag-decide kung anong career ang gusto kong i-pursue (just like most of the fresh grads). Tsaka party mode pako since I just graduated! hehehe! Kaya nga I'm more inclined to accepting Convergys' offer. Mukhang OK yung crowd. Tsaka 4 months lang yung bond, kaya madaling kumalas....

Sana nga! hehehe! kaso, I'm a BS Manufacturing Engineering and Management graduate...ang layo noh?! Sayang naman yung inaral ko...but on second thought, ayaw ko din naman mashado mag-isip sa trabaho so ayaw ko i-practice yung natapos ko. Ang labo ko! hahaha!

Naku, malapit na Dec. 17...Ilang araw na lang and I have to make that decision....

Hello, People!

Hope all is well for all of you.

Haven't heard much about the Cebu Facility yet. However, I believe Alabang is now being set-up. We were told that there'll be more facilities aside from the Makati, Ortigas, Alabang & Cebu Facilities.

It's my 3rd week in PS Training this week. Everything's going well for us, I'm glad all in our batch passed CC Training. We're with the Wave 6 Batches (there are several batches per wave). More and more people are expected to join Convergys. Good luck to those who'll give it a try!

Meron bang EB ang mga PExers sa Convergys? Please let me know if there'll be one.

I haven't heard of a dell account yet, but our US counterpart does handle that account as well as dell sales. I'd be glad, though, if we'd get that account.

I'd like to think that Convergys Phils. is still quite careful in taking in new clients since the facilities are still in teh set-up stage. Having two accounts as of the moment is taking up most of the existing facilities. I've heard that the entire Ortigas center will take up juts one program/client. 'Can't wait for Alabang and Cebu to be full operational.

To those waiting for Cebu updates, I think that the company is working on Alabang as of the moment. I've no updates yet...

Di pa naman kasi masasabi kung saan ka maa-assign even if you did decide to push through. It all depends on which account you will be assigned to and when the Alabang center will be fully operational.

Pay is good. Benefits are good. It would depend on where you came froma nd what your former job was.

Chances for personal and professional development is good. In my program, there are about 10 agents who are undergoing Leadership training in preparation for being Team Leaders. Twelve are Quality Service Monitors ("semi-TL's). A major thing to consider here is that the program has been operational since about 3 months ago.There are currently a number of internal (as well as external) positions open for hiring.

The company is practically exploding in terms of hiring and putting up call center sites.

Did I get in? Nah...I believe that there are more people qualified for that position. Anyway, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed and my hopes high for other chances. Why don't you try passing your resume and state in your cover letter that you are interested in an HR position? That way, you will be contacted asap and be informed if there are, indeed, any openings. The people at recruitment are generally open to questions so it would not hurt to ask.
