if you would remember, they have you signed out something to the effect that all you have written and given is true.

convergys believes in integrity. as long as what you gave them is the truth, then it will not in any way be a reason for you not to continue your employment with the company or any company at all.

yes they are strict about it.. and just like one of the replies here, you declared that whatever you submitted was true and correct

hmmmm..nde ko naman na feel na stirct interviewer. when i had my final interview..divided in to 2 parts.. 1st part is prang yung initial interview..u tell something abt urself..y u want to work in a call center co..blah..blah...tpos pag ok yung 1st part...pasok na yung situational interview. share ko lang..yung isang kasabay ko hanggang 1st part lang...sayang may background pa naman *** sa cisco...im asking him..ano ba ginagawa nya nde nya ko cnagot..anyway...good luck 2 u.

hirap mag compute nyan dahil sa annualization ng tax. safe to expect your basic divided by two minus 2K. more or less... this is a crude way of computing ah --- it may be higher or lower. lalo na kung may night diff ka at pumasok on a holiday at ang walang kamatayang haggard pay!

depende rin sa exemptions mo yan -- single or single head of the family w/ dependents or married w/ dependents... yun lang!

and hindi constant ang net pay ng isang employee kasi ang computation ng tax eh dependent sa number of days you've worked and if those days have holidays or OTs or nightdiffs so it would be hard to set an expected amount..

base dyan sa 1800-1900 maglalaro lang dyan ang tax mo not unless you have a lot of OT w/c would contribute sa pagtaas ng tax mo or if you receive a bonus w/c is taxable as well

you can try visiting www.bir.gov.ph if you want to check the chart on how the computation is done.. may brackets kasi yan e.

i didnt go through this but i think what you would do is more on speech training.. we have a module were you will be recording whatever you're on the PC (just forgot what the name of the program is)

we also had those during CCT, first we listen to the sample then we try to copy how the word is spoken with the stresses and intonations. we reade through lists of words and phrases as well.

With the Management Development Program in place at CVG, it is highly unlikely that we would hire an external agent (no matter how tenured) as a TL. If that is the case, we might as well just promote someone from within the organization.

A program head has to justify why they have to hire externally when there is such a huge internal talent pool available.

If and when we are asked to hire externally for a TL position, the candidates we would likely entertain would have to be existing TL's in their own organizations.

As for the rehiring of former CVG employess, we have no problem rehiring them as long as they left the company under normal circumstances and filed for their clearance properly. Each and every exiting employee is recorded in the HR database. That way, if they ever reapply in the future, we have their previous CVG employment history on record.

If a former employee just went AWOL or did not bother to properly resign, the chances of being re-hired are very small.

well it depends on your basic and what percentage applies. example your basic is 14000 and for a Satisfactory rating it's 10% so that would be 1400. we dont have the same percentages and amounts since it's based on the basic pay and based on the account.

i'm not working in cvg but we have a dtv in the u.s. kasi whenever i'm calling there foreign naman ang sumasagot hindi filipino. Ask ko kung meron dtv sa cvg saan may retail ang dtv?

i've been with cvg for 3yrs and 2 mos now, been to two different accounts, i have yet to see the light of day when it comes to promotion/it is a great company, but if you're gonna ask me, i guess it's safe to say that i may have just been exposed on the not-so-good side of things. i have attempted twice to apply for a non-agent position thru internal job postings, and was unlucky enough to be turned down twice...damn! ang hirap ma-promote kung walang kakilala, in fairness to those who have worked their way up the hard way, i guess i can say that only a handful of those are truly deserving of their positions, right now, i'm thinking of a different strategy in order to move up, and i've seen this happen before, why not apply in another cc as a tl/non agent post and then come back and reapply in cvg for a non-agent post. yun nga lang, sayang ang tenure...plus yung retirement benefit. what do you think?

Can you qualify this a bit more?

Were you turned down outright or were you given opportunities for the post/s?

Also, was there anyone else that the post/s was/were given to instead of you? If that was the case, maybe (and ideally) the other person was just a bit more qualified than you.

If not, then THAT's when it becomes a problem.

Honestly speaking, promoting someone is an inexact but permanent science (since I'm not sure if anyone has ever been demoted in CVG or the legality of doing so). What I mean by that, an applicant for promotion may have been the best Agent in terms of metrics and performance but may not have been the best motivator / administrator as a leader.

Hopefully, going forward, an in-depth calibration (combination of performance and EQ / maturity --- for lack of a better term at the moment) finalized and used to gauge a promotion applicant's COMPLETE qualifications.

We try to make everything as transparent as possible and that all promotions are towards making a "good fit" and promote the career of each applicant.

Good luck *okay* on your next attempt and, yes, the tenure towards the retirement package is hard to give up when you're so close.

I'm glad that Convergys has a Code of Conduct and a set of Values to live by. If you think about it, the Code is strong enough to deter any politicking and "crab mentality" in the CVG workplace.

Only thing I noticed is, there seems to be lapses in implementation right now...

And these lapses will cause headaches in the future...

sorry that is incorrect.....they can only accept applicants who have completed less than their 2nd year of college if they have at least one year callcenter experience and above average commskills.....and only 1 account in makati accepts such applicants....hope this helps

in makati.....you first have an orientation and coaching session, then you have your initial interview...once you pass that you take a profiling test to determine if your for tech or customer service, after that you have your final interview....once your done with that you have to pass the computer based exam which is mostly call simulation and data entry....once you pass this your in the clear ;)

I'm sure they put you on active file....meaning your job offer is just waiting for you.....just visit their office and look for the Recruitment Specialist that conducted your final interview.... good luck ;)

Its a very nice program....the only difficulty with that account is that most of the callers dont have any knowledge regarding the computer and the net and you would have to teach them as if you were teaching an 8 year old ;)

Although this is a good idea since it extends the brand of the company even after office hours since wearers will most likely use it outside the office, but, I'm not quite sure that Convergys will allow unsanctioned apparel that bears the company logo without an approval from its internal Communications team.

Although an "unofficial" set of apparel may be produced it might and most likely be scrutinized and even prohibited if it violates Convergys policies.

wow you must be good *okay* getting perfect in the exam is kind of difficult. so kudos to you :D well, just be open minded when it come to troubleshooting steps. normally dyan nagkakaroon ng clash between trainers and trainees or even among trainees. if person a says this and you say otherwise then just think about it and discover if that step really works. kasi sa troubleshooting we have a main guide but you can still do freestyle troubleshooting *okay*

you may have seen them in insular but their site is really @ CMW, insular is a training site.. lahat ng CCT dun talaga regardless of the site that you will be assigned to. :D

Got frustrated with my initial interview yesterday at Alabang. I was rejected. It was my first time to apply and after telling myself that i did well, it was so disappointing to know that i failed it.

Question: After 1 month, can i apply again? Because if i heard it right from the interviewer, if i should fail the interview, i could reapply after a month?

Hi guys! this is my first post here at PEX and I just wanna share my experience. I applied yesterday as a walk-in applicant at CVG1, their hiring process was very smooth. There were around 10-12 applicants in our batch who went for the initial interview and 2 of us were successful to be endorsed for the profiling test. So we took the profiling test to determine if we would qualify for a technical position and fortunately both of us did get a high score. We both proceeded for the final interview and my co-applicant was called in first. I think his final interview went well coz he was later endorsed to take the computer based exam. I was called in next by another interviewer. She was very nice, she commended the strong points in my comm skills and also made some constructive comments on my weak points. She gave me some hints on how i can further improve my comm skills. She told me that I have a good potential for a technical position but since I don't have any prior call center experience, she said I would need to have more exposures. She told me that I didn't meet their comm skills standards but she also said that I was above the failing mark. I felt a great relief after hearing that coz I thought I already failed my application. She told me that if I am really interested in pursuing the technical position at Convergys, she could endorse me to a 1 week near-hire training program to be given by a training institution affiliated with Convergys. It will be for free but I have to provide for my own transpo and meal expenses. Being a neophyte in the BPO industry, I gladly took her offer coz I am very interested working at Convergys and besides it is a great opportunity for me to improve my skills. My interviewer said I should expect a call from this training center within 2 days and that if any problem arises I should not hesitate calling up Convergys. My interviewer also told me that she's the one who will conduct my post-training evaluation when I return to Convergys and see if I'd get the job offer.

Though I didn't get the job offer yet yesterday, I really appreciate Convergys' gesture of helping me out in improving my comm skills. I don't consider the 1 week near-hire training as a waste of time but instead a good opportunity to improve myself.:) Anyone of you guys who had the same experience?

That was a really wise decision to undergo their near-hire training program. I absolutely agree with you: Convergys HR peeps are extremely friendly and comfortable to talk to.

As with my experience, we were 5 who went in for initial interview. Unfortunately, I was the only one who passed the comm skills so I took the profiling test, the final interview and then was told to be back for the computer based exam a day after. After passing every test, I was given the job offer and am now in the process of completing the pre-employment requirements.

I hope you pursue your dream of working with CVG and hope to see you soon.

thanks renzo_upd! I'm very optimistic regarding my near-hire training, though I haven't received a call today from CVG's affiliate training center in Makati regarding my training schedule. Perhaps my endorsement to the training center is still being processed, I'll just call Convergys regarding my status if I still don't get a call tomorrow. What do you think guys? when i was applying for a tech account here in cvg-cmw, i didnt really go through all that stuff-though this is also my first call center job.. good move on your part.. cuz honestly--once you're chosen by cvg, it means that you are one of the best. can u imagine how many people actually apply every day and the hr peeps are lucky to get at least 5 people who are qualified in 1 day..

Yeah. We did a y-jacking session early today at 6:30am. Our trainer is Karlo Lucas. Is this account ok? I mean salary wise since you've been with the account for quite some time now? ;) I had a year and 2 mos experince in a call center by the way. Based on my experience in CVG, I seem to have lost my social life. I guess it depends on which account you're in, i came from one of the hardest accounts and unfortunately due to stress I'd rather sleep during our offs.

Well despite of it all, the pay is good and all my colleagues at work are nice and accommodating. I hope everyone will have good experience in CVG too. ;)

ah kay karlo lucas pala kayo.. he's good din :D the account is okei so far, especially na nagpull out na ang TWC sa isang call center, they gave us 10,000 calls more! (rave: yey! more business for us, rant: wahh! OTs more OTs but still it's good business for us) so very promising ang account na ito. right now.. we have 2 weeks of unlimited OTs dahil nga sa volume of calls. so we cant wait na makagraduate yan batch nyo to help us. :D salary wise, so far wala pa talagang monetary incentives kasi nagstart pa lang yun account. but as far as i know, if we hit the mark this end of may, the client will give us the budget to give out monetary incentives na. so lahat ngayon eh happily working and we're all looking forward to hit the mark. *okay* see you soon.. dont worry on your first day.. we have interim mods who will be assisting you.

Yes, all sites can process for any other location, its actually a very easy account.....its an outbound program but all you do is ask survey questions....you dont sell anything so don't worry about that, you just ask customers to rate things using a scale of 1-5.:naughty:

we do have shift bids and the bidding process is based on your ranking on the floor. so the highest on the rank gets to choose first on what time he wants to have and so on and so forth. there are also 3 diff kinds of scheduling that we follow so it depends on what account you're on.

So finally after almost 2 months, suprisingly, they texted me about this 5-day training in Eastwood. I am so thankful for giving me this great opportunity.

I just want to ask, were all the applicants who didn't pass got the same opportunity like mine? Do they offer the same free training to all applicants?

no....that is not offered to everyone....that chance is given to applicants who almost pass but just need a little more improvement...after that training you will be endorsed back to the recruiter who previously interviewed you and he/she will check if the AFI you had has been resolved*okay* goodluck and if I were you go for it!

during the final interview expect to give past experiences....be ready to follow up your answers tell your interviewer how you dealt with these situations and how they ended up.....be careful with your answers....you need to give particular experiences...*okay*

thats called ARP....you just need a CVG employee as a contact person to register you...then you can start endorsing applicants....for every person that gets hired you get 2500 after their 2nd day of training and 3k more once they complete and pass product training(it takes more or less 2 weeks for the payments to get processed since they give you a cheque)....if you dont know any CVG employees just ask one of the recruiters about the ARP(applicant referral program)*okay*

i've been hearing from my btachmates that the payout for new hires would be full? (30 day period), and the salary would be real time ??

cus malapit na unang pay out and we are now on pst ...

as long as pasok ka sa cut yes, but pro rated yun. kung ilang days ka pumasok. and yes it's real time. kung late ka man for that pay period, next payday pa ang kaltas.

you can access it sa mycvg portal mo, then for username and password, ask your tl or trainer. normally sa CCT kapag malapit na last day mo, iaassign na kayo ng username and password

^ nope, the employee ID is for PDC...for mycvg portal, it's usually you're name for the UN then shempre *** PW.ask na lang din your TL for the payslip, baka na-delay lang ang HR.

i signed my contract last week @ CVG Ortigas but I still lack 2 requirements (PhilHealth & TIN). The HR there asked me to pass the remaining requirements last monday, but due to some reasons, I wasn't able to pass them... I plan on submitting it to them maybe next week pa.

i just want to know if this could be a ground for them not to consider me for the job anymore? my starting date is june 23 pa naman... could i still pass the requirements next week or will they not accommodate it anymore? pls shed some light... quite clueless about how things go here eh.. :) Thank you very much...

Is there an age limit when someone applies for a job in a call center?
Does it really need to work in a shifting time? Beyond 8hrs working time is already overtime, right? Is the compensations worth in the long run?

I hope someone could help me, I might be able to change my mind working in BPO Industry.;)

I think they'll allow you to submit the remaining requirements, the catch would be: your training date will be moved to a later one. No need to worry about not getting the job. You're almost 80% in.
