i know of some trainers, TLs, QAs and other Operations Support staff who have not finished college...if you perform well as an agent and seen to have a potential to be promoted that would be very possible..siyempre specialized positions like IT, HR, Payroll etc. needs degree holders for the job...

it's not bad at all to think of getting promoted...everyone has long term goals naman...but i guess it would be best to do well as an agent before those possibilities would ever come into the picture...getting hired nga as an agent is not that easy eh getting promoted pa kaya...

but to answer your question...yes, applications for promotion are considered even if the applicant have not finished college yet...up to a certain level nga lang siguro...haven't heard of an operations manager who have not finished college though baka meron din...*okay*

It's good to know that Convergys does consider non-degree holders for promotion... or even for recruitment.

ePLDT Ventus, on the other hand, only wants, at minimum, a "graduate of ANY four-year course" for its international CSR positions and a "graduate of a four-year IT-related course" for its TSR position. Compare that to companies like Convergys, IBM Daksh and eTelecare, which hire gradutes of computer-related Diploma courses for its TSR positions, and which don't discriminate against those who haven't completed four-year courses. PLDT:bop: is only a local company, and they consider Diploma/Associate's Degree holders as people who haven't graduated from college. Companies in Singapore, Canada, England, the USA, and Australia hire Diploma grads - with HIGHER salaries than what Bachelor's Degree holders here in the Philppines are paid.

What is wrong with a tertiary Diploma or even a 6-month certificate? Are most of the Filipinos such bigots that they look down on those without (at minimum) Bachelor's degrees? There are many IT Diploma graduates who know a lot more about IT-related matters than BSC Comp. Sci. grads, and I know many Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degree holders who are able to speak straight without stuttering, but cannot even construct impromptu, grammatically correct English and Tagalog/Filipino sentences... you see many more in the news everyday. Take out the mostly-repeated high school and other general subjects from a four-year college course, leave behind the major subjects, and you'll get a two- to three-year course...

Just some food for thought...

i'm a student, and i have a special schedule. you just have to submit the proper requirements once they ask for it. di nga lang maaadjust ang skeds when you're still in training and transition.

Regarding the DA, depending on the offense and depending on the account. May ibang account na stricter in terms of requirements.

cainta/junction? hmm.. sa may standard chartered may mga FX dun, not sure though kung ang valley golf na byahe eh dadaan ng cainta junction, im familiar with that place but yun route nun fx ang di ko alam.

well, ive tried applying for CVG last year, so happen not to have any work experience but hell i got in as a TSR after assessment exams! BUT I DIDNT PURSUED because of school. I signed my contract but didnt attend any training..

now im back to really get on with the job and im scheduled next monday for another round of assessments.

so anyone here who could at least give me an insight of JUST HOW MUCH AN UNEXPERIENCED CSR AND/OR TSR EARNS in CVG

sarado po ang HR / Training Dept kapag weekends, punta ka na lang ng maaga bukas to arrange the schedule. chaka dont worry about the formal attire, naku, smart casual is okei. for guys, ang dress code naman eh leather shoes, slacks at polo/polo shirt, as long as may collar. *okay* next training for TSR ask mo na lang, chaka alin tech acct ka ba sa makati?

gaano katagal? kasi habang trainee ka pa (meaning from CCT to PST to transition) allowed ka lang for 1 absence ata. pero kung sick leave na matagal baka madelay ang training mo or regularization mo. i had a friend kasi na nagkatrangkaso during PST so ang ginawa, sinabay na sya sa next wave.

well parang college uli, grammar, sentence construction, tapos you have modules where you have to read words/paragraphs then you will record it and you woud hear how you sound like or how you pronounce words (CAN 8) tapos meron din speech, but you would be given a topic a week before naman.

siguro yun pinaka impromptu na lang eh yun self introduction on your 1st day

i just finished reading 280 pages of your thread (puff, puff). You guys have a great community here. Yung thread ng ibang CCs puro bangayan lang ang nababasa ko. Nakakatamad na tuloy basahin full thread nila. Im checking all of the possible (and nice) CCs na pwede applyan along ortigas (i just live right now in mandaluyong) and in what im reading right now e naeenganyo akong mag apply tuloy sa CVG ortigas :D It would be nice to work with such nice people like all of you here. as long as you've completed your 1st and 2nd yr subjects, you may apply. yes CVG accepts part timers. we do have a branch in Commonwealth (actually, andun yun acct for part timers)

well, being a working student of course is difficult since time management is a must. but it all depends on how you discipline your self :D

sobrang mahirap ENGLISH TRAINING SA CVG pero in fairness its FUN talaga..., mas rigid sila compared sa ibang callcenter english training.... yung knowledge checks... confusing/tricky yung multiple choice:eek:(5x IN 2WEEKS yung knowledge checks)
5 tao out of 15 people ang pumapasa as far as i remember?! tapos yung public speaking more on memorization ng topic (issues tungkol sa account), eh dapat nga re-arrange mo pa pala in the first person, hindi yung print out lang... mock call lang yata yung keribels ko... :eek:

Tumbling ka rin kakaisip ng kwento sa CAN8 (recorded impromptu topics), meron pang assertive test, meron pa ding grammar exam sa CVG portal, yung games-- taboo games, us geography(puzzle), film viewing(stand-up comedy), enjoy yung teambonding games... may music sounds ka pa...pinapatugtog sa training room BAWAL TAGALOG... EOP kahit sa labas ng training room.

Its not really that hard....the most challenging part is the spelling test....

Nakakainis dun, ang gulogulo sa cvg1 pa lang. Kahit saang bus ka na *** pwede sumakay, daig pa ang all souls' day eh.

Tapos, pagdating sa ek, around 2 pm, 4pm pa pala ang food distribution. Kamusta naman diba?


Okay lang sana kungpuro employees lang, kaso FAMILY DAY un.. eh d may mga bata, pati *** mga bata nahirapan!! :grrr:

yeah.. grades doesnt matter as long as kumpleto ka sa required unit mo at natapos mo at least 2nd year college..

ayos na yun.. pagka naka sign ka na ng job offer, saka mo na lang i-pass yung TOR mo..

yes.....80% of the time they do....because a different company or 2 different companies conduct the Background investigations for CVG...and thats all they do....kahit mga memo nauungkat....what you should do is call your Recruiter and advise him/her about the incident so that when the results come in he/she can defend you and recommend to let you continue with training:naughty:

ganito kasi yun.. naka dalawang callcenter din ako bago mag cvg eh.. pati dun sa unang callcenter ko tinawagan daw nill.. eh kaibigan ko yung HR dun.. so tinext nia ako.. sabi nia apply ba daw ako ng CVG, kasi may tumawag sa kanya..

Eh nag resign ako dun.. parang Awol na rin.. kasi di na ko pumapasok eh, kasi nagsisimula na ako sa 2nd callcenter ko.. ayun pero nag pass naman ako ng Resignation letter at nakuha ko na rin ang COE ko dun.. so ok lang...

Sa 2nd company ko naman.. lang problema.. maayos akung nag resign...

gaya nga ng sabi ng iba.. better to be honest.. bahala ng sabihin mong nag Awol ka.. but you should have a concrete reason as to why ka nag awol.. di naman sa i-badmouth mo rin yung previous company mo..

theres a big chance na malalaman din yun e....sasabihin lang naman sayo ng Recruiter mo is get a clearance from your previous employer e....that might delay your start date but you wont be disqualified....unlike pag training kana saka lumabas results you get pulled out of class and termed due to intergrity w/c is one of the main values that the company is trying to encourage....

its grossly unfair to label our er people as disorganized. u dont have any idea what the RU people go through just to make sure the employees are happy. And excuse me, out of the several people at EK, u were able to single out who the er mgr was and u said she was"nagalit"?....

anyway, ang process po is pa-pirmahan mo yung clearance form sa TL mo then OM, then facilities manager then IT supervisor. then pa-schedule ka ng exit interview sa HR tas submit mo na yung clearance forms. it'll usually take 2wks-1month for the processing of backpay. di naman ma-fforfeit yung backpay mo kaso lang ok sana kung inasikaso mo agad para in case na may mali sa computation (sl/vl/nytdiff discrepancies) mo, madaling i-check kse medyo fresh pa yung records.hehe

depende naman, if the acct is starting up. expect that every week ang palit ng sched. pero once na dumami na kayo eh magiging stable din yan.

just like with the tech account where i am in. im from wave 2 so when we started out, every week palit ng sched. tapos naging every 2weeks then naging once a month, and now 3mos steady na sya, the account is already 10mos old.

chaka depende din yan sa pipiliin ng employees na sched structure. kasi kami pinapili kami from several types.

I received a call this morning from CVG and she told me that they were giving opportunities and that I have to go there to get a profiling test for Mediacom. She told me that this offers a higher pay than my first job offer. I finished the test this afternoon and they'll just call me if ever i qualify....I'm so excited but still nervous for my TOR which is so terrible!!! I failed most of my subjects!!!

Hi Im just new here. someone please help me. I am really confuse on what to do. I was a former employee of convergys alabang 2 years ago, but I resigned to due health reasons. Last week I applied there and was hired but I didn't declare that I was a former employee and also I had some previous call center experience that I also didn't declare. But it was just one. I wasn't able to process my clearance because I was afraid they would ask me to pay the bond. Please enlighten me, I really want to work in convergys again. If Im gonna call my recruiter and follow the rehires process can somebody tell me how will the process be like? and how long will it takes me to work again. Do you think they will discover that I had some previous employments that I didn't declare. Please help me decide and give me advice on what MUST i do. Thank you.

I think they have TWC in Makati and Cebu.. If you prefer another tech account, there's one in Ortigas, Commonwealth and also Makati. :)
