2. wed: convergys HR called me up and i had my initial interview over the phone.

3. thurs: went for exam the next morning, had final interview the afternoon.

4. fri: got job offer the next day.

5. mon: started training. :D

Just to ask, those who were interviewed there, what was it like, is this a group interview or what? How long did it take? Were the questions technical ones or not?

BTW, sa Insular kami nag exam and si Arland ang nagpaexam sa amin, very nice guy. I asked him after the exam, how many interviews more do we have to undergo and he said, the last one will be the next one so basically, only 2 screening stages. Or did they change this? cause I am reading previous pages and seems like many took different screening stages.

i'd really like to be a CCT trainer. anyone here trainers? i got a score of 100 for CCT, 97 for the post-test in PST, not sure bout the grade of my last proficiency but i was the top of my class. first of all, if there's no work experience sa call center, how much is the basic salary now of tech customer serv rep? is there a bond that needs to be signed once you're in? what about the no. days reporting sa office, is it 5 days or more??

im sori to bother you but im somehow interested to work in the call center industry esp in this company. btw, im an it graduate and had worked for 3years sa insurance and manufacturing company.

hey, i just got hired late June.

I'm a fresh grad, no work experience, the basic pay for tech support reps is 13,500. there's a 20k bond for the training, that applies for 6months after hire date. work is 5 days a week. anyway, with your IT knowledge, i'm sure you'll get hired right away, and training lasts around 6 weeks.

last saturday i was asked to drop by sa insular, took the exam which took like 3 hours or less. then i passed the exam, i was told na my application will then be processed in ortigas because that's where the technical are. I asked how many screening stages would I need to undergo before a job offer comes in and he said, that will be the last one, so basically, if he's right, that will be my first and last interview? he just told me to wait for the call para ma schedule and interview. just thought why it's taking this long

convergys is located at the enterprise tower 2 level 7...there's also one in ortigas, robinsons tower, 25th floor...if your residing in alabang, they conduct interviews and exam on the 9th floor, insular life building, level 9......

cell seeker, hmm. do you have the letters they gave you? the one that scheduled your interview? you could try visiting the hr in insular again. thats about all the advise i can give you.

i pretty much had the same sched as you went throught: applied monday, screening all day and tests; final interview wednesday; job offer presentation afternoon of same day, signed contract that evening; friday of the said week i got my medical; monday the following week CC training.

Kasi naman ibang agents sa CVG, ang order 45 pesos lang tapos ibabayad 100 or 500. parang *****. and ok lang kung first time mong kumain dun. so if yer aware na nagkukulang sila sa barya kasi yung mga nauuna dun eh malalaking bills ang dala...e di wag ng gumaya. THere's an upside to being offline. You can gather more information about the common problems for yer account and i dunno with BS...but with out account the scorecards are adjusted. Instead of having to meet 3.0 during regularization, your range is adjusted to something lower based on the length of time you spent offline.

NUMERO UNO TIP WHILE ONLINE: MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT. Avoid just lounging around or what. Make yerself useful to yer t.l. or yer team mates. It helped me out when I return to making calls.

flavvvah : i really dont know, it wasnt discussed, but most of the guys who fail it are those who: 1. dont speak loud enough 2. dont understand the instructions 3. Technical issues like hiss on the speaker when its too near your mouth and choppy recording.

i failed coz of sumthing between 1 & 2. duh.

its a give away test, its how you take it that could fail you.

if your not sure about your responses, get a retest. i didnt so i failed. duh. and i failed the first section, which means i have to go to a cct remedial. failing the 2nd section means you have to take a retest. duh again.

dont get me wrong, im definitely making the best out of it: most of my class are non-techies so i help them along those lines, i run around getting escal codes for them, check bbt, listen in and offer suggestions, im not whiling away my time on nothing. =) but id still like to be online and answer my own calls, if you get my meaning.

yeah, be prepared to learn A LOT of things not taught in PST and CCT, dont be afraid to ask questions, dont be afraid of our members, AMS is a must to pass, but call flows are not - meaning dont overload your brain, take everything in gradually... you have floorwalkers to support you...

of course follow the procedures laid down in afss and stuff... check all information available BEFORE troubleshooting, it sucks when you learn that after an hour of troubleshooting, the member is disconnected/suspended or is within an area that has an outage!

learn to use notepad... it doesnt need a login, hehehehe.

careful with your passwords for tools,
your tools are your best friends.

dont believe what the members tell you about their problem, probe, probe, probe.

ive noticed that after 6 days of taking in calls, we ask less questions from our TL and floorwalkers... you get used to solving the same problems again and again eh.

im around 70% nervous/anxious and 30% excited about transition. we start on tuesday. im part of the wave 2 morning group in alabang. listening to laith (tama ba?) and debbie's stories about specialists shaking, and panicking, and running to them and grabbing them and pulling their shirts and waiving the green/red sticks on their faces.. it seems funny at first but im sure ill be as shaky and nervous as they are. waaaaaaaaa cant wait. sana tuesday na para matapos na ang first day of transition at makita and maramdaman ko for myself kung pano nga ba talaga mag address ng calls. totoo bang 90% of callers sa CP alabang ay irate? sighhh...

well its up to you, if you feel prepared thats great, i dont know how BSDSL does their transition, but i would think that you would still have people supporting you for the first couple of days. dont be afraid to ask and learn quickly from experience.

Convergys does accept fresh grads. In fact, most of my trainees are fresh grads. If you will be assigned to the program I'm in, you'll have 12 days of accent training and 4 weeks of classroom training for the program. Unfortunately, nobody here should be informing you about the salary even through PM.

Why not try and apply? If you are accepted, weigh your options and see if you are for Convergys or not.

You can try, but if you don't have exprience as a trainer or teacher, I would like to think that the company would offer an agent position instead. Hey, 20k is good, but not realistic just yet.

satineblue16: wow! congrats for passing the initial interview. don't worry i'm sure you'll do great on the exam. it's not that hard. and it won't take the whole day. mga 4 hours max. tip ko lang, be aware of the time limit for each test.

as for the edge of cvg compared to the other call centers...well, this is my first call center job as well, so i can't personally say that it's the best call center in the Phils. but what i can say is that, it's pretty cool in cvg. and the benefits are great. the people are great too.

we can't say about the basic pay and stuff. you'll find out eventually if you make it to the new hire orientation. :)

I submitted my CV when Convergence posted in the Manila Bulletin an ad looking for personnel in their about-to-be-opened Commonwealth branch last August. I passed my exam and I had been interviewed by HR and two Program Managers in thier Ortigas branch. I'm wondering why they haven't called. My last interviewer asked if I would be willing to work in Makati. I said at this point of time, I would rather work in Ortigas because Makati is too far (I live in Novaliches). Could it be that I flunked the interview because of my preference? In their application form, I specifically asked that I'd be assigned in either Ortigas or Commonwealth.

What do you think could be the reason for not replying back? Your thoughts please.......

You shouldn't have said that... that means you're not flexible. At Convergys, it is expected that you're willing to be assigned anywhere they need you. That's actually part of the contract. In the first place, everyone should have that understanding that when working for a company, you agree to be flexible enough and be assigned to wherever they need you more.

In my case, I agreed to that clause and signed the contract. Although I honestly don't want to be assigned in alabang or Commonwealth. As of now, I'm in ortigas and we'll soon be transferring to makati. Should the company decide to assign me anywhere else, I'll try to bargain.

What specific behaviors or attitudes have this trainer exhibited for you to want to complain about him/her?

Im not frm hr but i work closely with them po :) kung fav ka ng tl mo, i dont see any reason na hindi ka nya bibitawan, more na tutulungan ka pa nya mapromote :) yes,u have to pay the bond if you want to resign within 4 months but they can also waive it provided that u have a valid reason that calls you to resign.

I always believe in KARMA....it does not mean na propromote pa yung mga taong d karapatdapat ** sa CVG, your wrong , d dahil mas malaki sweldo nila mas masaya sila kesa sa inyo. PERA *** yun at posisyon pero pupusta ako, mas masaya pa rin kayo kesa sa kanila :) They have MORE challenges and MORE responsibilities than you guys, plus pa yung mga added pressure sa mga personal lives nila. mas malaki possibilities na MADAPA sila kesa sa inyo diba? :)

AGAIN, isep isep muna... RESIGNING is not the solution, besides u will encounter the same ISSUES when you transfer to another company, unless you will go solo or set up ur own biz and set ur own rules. USE the proper channels and if you need help, nand2 kame para pagtanungan :)

Alam namin na d perfect mga tao sa kahit anung dept, but its how kc we handle the prob e. Sa kahit anung company may gnyan *** d sila nagiimprove o naggrogrow. di naman sa pagyayabang, kung totoong bulok sistema ** sa CVG, d na tau dapat lumaki. 1 year pa *** tau 7 sites na ang naset up natin- 3 buildings ang napagawa within 15 months. Next year may 5 sites pa na lilitaw na *** na di natin nararamdaman. WALA pang nakakagawa nyan ** sa pinas :)

Meron na ring naterminate because of their performance kahit na sila pa ay pioneers. *** hindi totoo na d gumagalaw ang hr sa mga problema ng empleyado :)

Yeah, in addition to what chillin_kyle said, a lot of us have experienced the same crap that you've been through, but we chose our actions before actually ...errr...acting.

I would also be available evenings if not early mornings in the same room where chillin_kyle is. Talk to us. We swear not to divulge you identity to management. At least, you have a ready ear to listen to you as well as a clear mind to think with you. You might even find a shoulder to cry on.

chillin_kyle, i think HR should do something about the night shift SS. i mean may nakarating nang report sa inyo e so i hope you guys do something about it. if there are speculations, then investigate.

this I know...one of the three Trigger OM's (kasi nagsumbong yung isang bagong TL) know na naninira itong si 'Mentor/SS' ng night shift nung dalawang bagong TL because he got jealous kaya ayun pumasok na naman yung crab mentality nya. pinagaaway yung dalawang TL na yun, sinisiraan sila for no apparent reason. kaya ayun pati yung TL ni SS e pinagalitan si SS. You know what happened? No action was done when the facts were there already.

I think HR has nothing to do about this yet. even if you go to hr they will ask you if youve raised that thing to your sups.

You guys have your own TLs and OMs ayt? dont u think its like bypassing them if you go straight HR? and dont you feel that the issue with the SS is too high school? I always believe that issues can be resolved at the right time and place, handled by the right people ofcourse. Ive talked to a lot of peeps (Trainers, TLs, OMs and HR) not just with the issues about the SS but also scheduling, other concerns of the specialist etc. and the good thing is that they KNOW IT and they have a solution na. I dont believe that lahat ng problema nadadala sa paspasang pagreresolba. THEY KNOW IT but you also have to consider that your OMs and TLs are consentrating on other things na mas mahalaga sa nakararami. Just wait and let them do their part, ALAM nila yan pero dinadaan nilang LAHAT sa diplomasya :)

Were learning a lot from this, lets mature and trust the people who are working so hard for our own benefit :) we all want things to be resolved but it cannot be done overnight. AGAIN GUYS, ITS TALKING TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE and letting them do their job :)

suggestion lang po! if you really want to apply here in convergys mas maganda yung walk in applicant. coz if you'll pass ur resume to an employee it may take some time before they'd call you. unlike pag walk in applicant you'll be finished in two days pag pumasa ka.

Uhh..regardless of where you got the info, it's expected that CVG would not do as good as the other call centers for outbound programs. Convergys doesn't really get a lot of outbound programs simply because it's not that stable as inbound is.

hello. anyone here from HR or training? I applied for a CCT trainer position, deadline was Sept.16 and I did submit my application before the deadline. It's been almost a month and still no word. My TL tries to follow-up the status of my application but from what I understand, ball's no longer in our court, they said it's with the training manager or training recruitment manager or something. I dunno, I do my share of asking around but I can't really seem to get a solid answer. Well, I just feel like a month is way too long for just an initial interview or something, especially since there were 5 vacancies posted. I'm sure that the application was submitted properly, I'm just worried that since it's been a while, the position might be closed already. Could they fill the vacancies without interviewing all the applicants? help...

normally, it will take 2 weeks for them to call you for an interview but don't loose hope coz they might be interviewing a lot of applicants thats why its taking so long for them to accomodate u. You also have to consider that they are reviewing ur metrics such as ur qe scores, attendance etc. for the meantime, try to do good on ur calls, y? coz they might be listening in to ur calls also :)

The results will be given in 15 minutes. If you pass the simuation activity, you can be scheduled immediately for the final interivew.

Tips - - listen very well to the administrator. She will be very helpful in providing you all the details that you need to pass the assessment.

Do not be too scared. Just enjoy the Convergys experience!

I(still an undergrad)applied for CVG two weeks ago and fortunately(inspite of the rigorous screening process) I passed all their exams. I also received an e-mail from the HR that I'll just need to wait for their call in one to two weeks. I have this perception that CVG is really competitive enough compared with other existing call centers in the country and the fact that they choose only few from many(like thousands) aspiring applicants(a MBA holder who has been in U.S. for 10 years even flunked). Apparently, I accepted the good offer of WEST and right now having my training but I plan to choose CVG over WEST if they will give me a call in a week from now. The only problem with CVG is that they don't give the agents an option to choose from many shifts(in my case, I'll study at the same time).
