Based on my experience, the fastest way to get a response is to go through the walk-in application process. You can get hired within the same day you applied.

the hr people here in alabng are nice and approachable. i actually work closely with them pag may activity sometimes since i am part of the EE team :) baka sabihin biased ako pero yun *** po ang aking opinion :)

madaming good looking/cute guys and gals ** sa alabang hehehehe :) specialist pa *** cute na *** more mga trainers and managers po...sa totoo *** po :) -> walang kokontra! hihihihi :D

Based on my experience, meron, kaya lang di naman nananakit. Just to let you know, talagang ginawa yung elevator dyan na tumigil sa 8th floor. So if it stops sa 8th floor, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's the ghost.

BTW, may story sa Philippine horror stories tungkol sa Insular.

i applied kahapon... i filled up the application form (god damn may dalawang bura...kakapikon), nakakatawa nga i didnt even had a ballpen ng day na yun kasi nahulog ang pen ko sa jeep :( pang-asar.

they will call me regarding the final interview pa... kasi last friday sabi nila walang mag-iinterview saakin (4pm na po kasi yun and may memo sa desk ng testing guy and gal na walang isekd past 5pm ata yun...hehehe talk about observant).

anyway, i applied in alabang and yes totoo walk in is the way to go.

in fairness sumakit ulo ko sa simulations (idagdag mo pa dun yung init then lamig ng area)... kala ko nga babagsak na ako kaya binaboy ko pa yung 2nd stage ko. laking gulat k nalang the testing guy gave me the 3rd stage.

undergrad pa ako and i live in cavite. i specifically told the initial interviewer i want to be assigned in alabang due to situation but pag grad na me kahit sa cebu pa ako padala eh ok lang yun! hehehehe

kakaloko... share ko lang po.

im waiting nalang for thier call. they said next week pa nila ako tatawagn kasi nga holidays.

sana pumasa ako sa final interview and screening.

may transition pa pala... from training to actual... hmmm... interesting. :)

Makiki-sabat lang pow...miss ya chillin...dito ulit me sa Alabang for a week then back to Cebu for a month.


The TL position was made for people who want to partake in the challenge of handling a team on top of managing administrative duties. If you're in for the challenge of operations, then go for the Team Lead position.

Comm Coaching is another face of transactional monitoring (i.e. Quality). You listen to calls and rate the communcaiton skills of the agent you listened to. On top of which, you also coach them on how to improve on their diction, grammar, and pronunciation. It's a side of continuous education for CCT.

Wala pa namang final say kung definite yung 3 teams lang sa night shift. What I know is that more teams will be in the morning shift (and morning means 1,2,3 a.m.). Some of the agents are being asked kung ano yung preferred schedule nila, but I'm not sure kung mai-implement pa yun. I'll try asking around more...

I'd love to go back to grad school but ever since I worked in the call center, I haven't the time and energy (and money!) to continue.

I do have some friends who can do both at the same time, so it boils down to whether you can manage your time and stress level.

I was able to work and study at the same time for 4 months. Unfortunately, i will have to resign by next week because my classes will now conflict with my work sched. Sobrang badtrip nga kasi i really love my work especially the tech account i'm in. Sayang nga kasi tinanggal na yung shift exchange... For sure mabo-bore talaga ako pag nag-aral lang ako and hahanap hanapin ko ang buhay dito sa CVG. Huhuhu. Baka may-taga HR dito, pwede ba magpa-change ng status to part-time?

:( sad naman yan... kausapin mo po yung TL and OM mo or any HR personel in your site (HR senior manager kung pwede!:) )and see if they can give you a schedule that will fit your schooling. sana magawan ng paraan...HR pexers help naman po :)

Well i hiess chill and Una here are not anymore agents, and im the only agent here coz i just started tarining last september and so on...

For experience: Grabe Chill and Una... TOXIC pala sa floor...ibang-ba yung account natin and stuff plus nakakaintimidate kasi mga taga wave 1-3 yung mga kasama ko... :(

Pero i know when i get the hang of it... (hopefully soon) magiging okey naman...Alam nyo guys paminsan depende sa team lead nyo rin... most of the team leads really help there newbies (like us)

If i wer to choose...hmmmm gusto ko yung time na tama lang yung calls and tama lang yung tao sa floor...

And one thing... pag may crush ka... "ITS A BIG HELP!!!!" swear!!!

Hi! in your case im really sorry to hear that. we will have that, although if ever we open for part time it will be a different acct. the prob that i'm seeing is if you will come back to convergys you have to finish muna and have a tenure of 11months at your old acct. Go to HR and let us study your case. Bait naman kme ** sa HR eh. hehehe

From what I reviewed, I am glad and sad at the same time. Glad bec more and more people are joining and interested to join this company. Sad bec I hear people wanting to resign... worst than that, saying negative things about the company. :(

A company is composed of different kinds of people. If you say that the company sucks, I think it would also safe to assume that the people there sucks. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. In every company, there are assets and liabilities. So it's unfair to say that Convergys sucks... because from what I see, there are those who are really good, not only in work but also in attitude and ethics. So pls... I urge those who have a negative experience with CVG to stop doing so. If you can't stand what you're experiencing, you should raise this with your supervisor or HR. If the problem persists, and you still can't stand it... then maybe it's time to move and join other company.

For those having a good experience, congratulations! As I have experienced whether in Convergys or not, everything will really depend on how you respond to the situation. As of now, I'm having a difficult experience. Not bec of my boss, but bec of the great demands of work and my colleague's attitude. I chose to be positive and aim to learn from my experience. My colleagues here are voicing their desire to leave the company... I refuse to because I know there's a lot to learn and a lot of opportunity, not only here in my account but in convergys as a whole.

I heard that there are more clients coming in, just waiting for the company to finish its offices in Alabang, Commonwealth and Makati. I even heard that we'll have our own supercenter near the Makati Medical Center. That means more opportunity for growth. And I'm just waiting for this opportunity to come. On my 5th month with Convergys, I'd say I found the best so far. No regrets, even if the demand is great. That's a challenge for me to face and conquer.

When you get on the floor, goodluck. You are just starting out and there goes the pressure they are gonna throw at you. No wonder why a LOT of employees are resigning or awool. Their management sucks, they dont trace the reasons why employees are resigning. eTel is just better in almost anything.

Remember, Convergys is the biggest call center in the world, but being the biggest doesnt mean it is better.

I dont think that resume is really that impt. when i applied here, mine is just a plain ole' resume. I dont even have a picture on it. What's impt is how you present yourself. And I think as long as you can converse in english, you can be hired. good luck on your application! :) :)

well for me it depends on what do you really want to do,if you are inclined at tech stuff then a tsr position would be the best since you will have the chance to enjoy what you are doing and besides that,a tsr position has a higher pay compared to csr's,ayon sa chismis nila. sabi kse samin wala pa masyado opening for csr,kung gs2 mo csr,you will have to wait and that means pipila ka pa sa mga gs2 mag csr and wait for a few months more whereas sa tech support immediate ang hiring mejo matagal lang nga start ng training...

hulaan ko,april ka pa pinagsstart no at sa ortigas ka? pareho lang tayo dude..ok lang sakin kse may work pa ko ngayon pero mahirap lang sayo kailangan mo na ng work...i heard that an earlier training date is available,maybe on february. anyway,it is worth the wait..ttrain ka naman nila if you are not bihasa sa techy stuff and sabi naman ni tracy ng recruitment "we will enjoy the training"

all call centers naman have their flaws, kasi if there's one perfect call center eh di lahat ng tao nandun na.
it's true that convergys has lots of promising offers, but if you're after big pay, don't expect to make it big being an agent.

well d ako it/cs graduate but i do have a background w/ computer stuffs (troubleshooting, networking etc) so yun yung pinili ko...and nabanggit din nya yung sched (bago yung interview) that you can have a jo either this month, by january or 1st quarter of 2005...not sure lang if for ccr or tccr...

I applied for CCR, and I prefer working in Makati, however no vacant slot for CCR sa Makati as of this moment and I have to wait for the 1st quarter of 2005.:confused: As for the contract signing, di pa daw ako pwede magsign since blank pa daw *** contract ko. :deal:

Sabi nya I passed the final interview. She asked me what's more important to me: Urgency or Location, sabi ko Location, for short I prefer Makati over Alabang and Ortigas. Malapit ako sa Makati eh.
If I chose Urgency, I might start this December in Alabang. Then she asked me questions na, about if I'm willing to do nightshift, work on holidays... etc etc etc. After that, the position I applied for is not available as of this moment maybe *** pa daw trainers. So I have to wait for the 1st Quarter next year.

SHe gave me a brief description of the account that I may be possibly assigned to if ever magstart nako. :confused2:

I had my interview kanina,and :( for me. Having said that, I can't help but note these observations:
Late na kami nagsimula, 2 PM sked ko, 2:30PM na nag start. But I figure baka lang natagalan lang sa mga previews candidates, so it's no big deal for me.
Then turn ko na, and pagkaupo ko, binigyan na ako ng lecture with regards sa qualities ng isang TSR and mga responsibilities. Eh TSR na ako sa West, I figure, malamang di niya binasa ang resume ko. And nung ako na nagsalita at sinabi ko na TSR na nga ako, dun pa lang binuklat resume ko, at halatang 1st time nyang nalaman na taga West ako. Kita sa reaction ng face eh.
Anyways, ayun tinanong ako kung may non-complete clause kami, sabi ko wala. Wala naman talaga eh. Sabi nya, "Are you sure? ". Sabi ko "Yes, I'm quite sure". Wala naman talaga eh! Sana di na ako nagaplay sa Convergys kung alam ko makakasagabal yun.
Tinanong ako bakit ako umalis sa West. Sabi ko gusto ko kasi mag email support. Anyways, she checked on her list kung may opening for email support, and while she was doing that, sinabi ko na may pending job offer na ako sa isang call center, and I told her that I'm just "weighing all my options" so to speak. At nasabi ko rin na I prefer working in Makati.
Ayun. The interview went down the drain at that point. She told me na kesyo na I won't be having the liberty of choosing kung san ako maa-assign whether sa Makati, Ortigas, Alabang or sa Commonwealth. Priority ko talaga ang Makati since I live very near Makati. So she put me in "active file".
The interview wasn't that bad actually. I was polite, she was polite as well. Heto ang tanong ko, don't you guys get to choose kung saan kayo maa-assign?
Kaya ko lang nasasabi ito ngayon kasi ang dating sa akin eh, parang di ako nabigyan ng option dun sa position, kung ano yung nature or kung san located. I was hoping na at least she has presented those to me first before I can get to decide. Early on the interview, tablado na ako. I have NO IDEA kung may opening ba kayo sa Makati, she already told me those things I said above. Eh kung wala, eh di too bad for me. Kaso, I feel that she didn't gave me the chance to know that firsthand. And yet, she didn't even bother to check for my credentials! :(
You might call this sourgraping. Maybe it is. At least, nalabas ko ang sama ng loob ko. Anyways, I wish Convergys all the luck.

Ako naman, they first ask me kng san ko dw **** ,location nila then sbi ko I'm a flexible employee and willing to relocate, and take risks. Then sabi nya its up to me ksi sakin naman daw **** *** choice of location, then eventually I preferred Makati. Unfortunately, un nga *** daw vacant position dun, but I did pass the interview and have to wait for their call within the 1st QUarter of 2005. But kng di pa 2mawag ng February hanap nko iba.

May iba akong mga kasama dun but di pa binigay *** results ng Final Interview sa kanila while sakin agad bingay right after nung pinasagot ako ng survey. I believe I really did well in the interview, I never faltered whatsover. ;)

Yep. There's definitely a relocation allowance. Two agents from the Ortigas site are here now and have been promoted to Team Lead status. My trainees are from Bacolod, Iloilo, Iligan, and Dumaguete and they also have relocation allowance as well.

Convergys does both inbound and outbound. No telemarketing cheapskate, though. Basically, a neat and decent outsourcing firm. But like any other company Convergys is not perfect.

sang ayon ako sa yo jan!!! simpleng bagay na gagawin, like computing of payroll lagi pang may error. tulad na lang sa team mate ko. two pay days ng may discrepancy sa sweldo nya. imagine last dec 15 nakuha lang nya ay mahigit 2k. imagine that. its really obvious na may mali sa computation. kase bukod tanging sya lang sa buong team namin ang nakakuha ng ganun kaliit na sweldo. and not only that. when my teamamate approaches hr, specifically robynne, he was treated very rudely by that *****. e kung tutuusin *** ang may mali. and that incident happened to my teammate again, this payday! All of us got an unusually high pay. but he only got half of what we recieved.... ngayon pa namang holiday season!! how would u spend christmas and new year with that kind of pay.. he is working his *** out, never been absent or late. i think hr has got to do some working, serious working. hindi yung puro pa cute at porma lang. at tama yung sinabi mo casimiro22, kailangan nila ng isang matinding training on handling employee concerns. after all, that is what they're being paid for.

I would agree with talking to MM about your concerns with the HR peeps. Also, there's Amy Morella. She's their direct supervisor in Makati. I'd like to think na sa Makati lang ito, kasi the HR people in Alabang are quite nice and easy to deal with.

guys let's not call people names. from what i know and heard, hr people in convergys are overworked, specially those in operations. imagine serving more than a thousand people tapos dalawa lang o tatlo lang kayo. imagine creating reports while helping agents with their concerns. try asking anyone of them kung kumain na ba sila o kaya nakauwi ba sila within the last 48 hours. meron dyan uuwi lang to get a bath then balik sa trabaho. I know it's hard na mabawasan ang sahod nating mga agents. galing ako sa call center na palpak lagi ang computation ng sahod. but calling people names, pang bata na yun eh. though i know that some hr people deserve being lambasted in a public forum, some of them still deserve respect. oki?

and one more thing, though im not a friend of ramie's, i really don't think he deserves this kind of treatment from you guys. Try to get to know him better, before passing judgement oki?

correct k dyan minslave! I am an HR assistant before sa previous company ko and i know kung gaano kahirap ang work nila. We can 't blame them if sometimes nagtataray sila coz they have feelings also. kahit kailangan dapat kapag nsa HR ka, ipakita mo sa mga employees na very accomodating and approachable ka.... minsan sa sobrang dami ng work di mo n tlaga kyang ngumiti. lalo pa sa Convergys na more than 4K na yta tayo and you said na 2 or 3 *** silang nagseserve sa tin.....

Hey! Musta training? Convergys called me 2 days ago for a contract signing but I declined the offer. I already accepted a TSR position from an equally stable and reputable contact center like Convergys. Sayang, Convergys pa naman **** *** 1st choice ko. Really, patience is not my virtue...

I agree mindslave. HR is hard work. And its true that most if not all are overworked because they're servicing thousands. Imagine, 3 : 3000?! that's about a thousand people per person. We have to understand that they do not mean to be rude or nasty. They're simply tired sometimes. Plus they're not like that all the time. We also have to check whether or not we approached them properly. Baka mamaya hindi din maganda approach nila sa HR staff kaya natatarayan sila? Give these people a break. you guys don't know how hard it is work in this kind of environment.

hi CONVERGYS peeps,

I'll be starting my training on the 28th of Feb at Convergys Alabang. Are there lots of Convergys peeps from Alabang here? I heard Convergys is the most awarded Call Center, that's why i didn't think twice of trying out there.

Well, another reason is because i needed a simple job (not much pressure after office hours as SALES entitled me to) while focusing on our family business: travel agency.

I think Convergys promises good income (i know how much but in the future, i hope it gets much better... ) and i hope to meet alot of cool peeps there!!! I hope once i get there (and pass the training and stuff), i will meet PEXers there. Possible?
