Weird naman *** balita ko na walang sariling station ang mga CVG agents.
Ganito ba talaga sa call center industry?

i have yet to find a call center where agents have their own stations.
unsanitary? you bet.
i was thinking if i'd do a masters i'd probably take up Microbiology and do a thesis on how many bacteria there are on the keyboards and mouse with so many different people using them.

I had my fnal intrvw at cvg 1st wk of feb pa. D one who conducted my intrvw told me dat i passed. But unfortunately during dat time, my sked had a conflict with the work shift and i would only be ready by march so she just told me to inform her via email if evr m alrdy available. I did send her email last march 15. Up to now i havnt received any reply frm her yet so i went there personally ysterday but the people there told me that she was out in a meeting. I waited for an hour after i decided to leave. But b4 i left, the security just askd me to sign a slip where i wrote my name and contact #. He told me dat he will be the one to explain to her my ‘case’ when she arrives. No calls yet from cvg up to this moment. *** do you think? *** should i do?
my case is similar since i'm still connected with another company... good thing the one that interviewed me gave me his direct number to inform him when i'll be able to start...

convergys was my first choice and will always be my choice...i resigned to my previous employer and i know im in the greatest time of my life there...nwei before when i working with WCC i wasnt using my head at all...but with cvg i know im going to use my coconut in undergoing my training in cvg...coz even their accent training is tough....but of course when its tough you'll definitely learn a lot from it...

mine took a while. i took and passed the exam on march 11. never heard anything from them 'till i got the call last wednesday, march 30. matagal yata talaga, unless you applied for a position at convergys-makati. kasi yung mga kasabay kong nag-exam at pumasa nung march 11 na makati office ang choice, they were scheduled for a final interview right then and there. :)

pumasa ka nun. minsan matagal lang talaga. it depends kasi on the number of people who took the test, kaya kelangan talaga ayusin nila ang sched diba? tsaka final interview naman parang familiarity na lang. tipong titingnan lang nila kung kaya mo talaga and kung interested ka talaga, kaya kelangan lang pa-bibo. :D

hahaha!!! kaya kami dati dun sa call center na pinagtrabahuan ko e kanya kanyang dalang alcohol... kadiri pa minsan kasi walang mga amplifiers yung pe na kabitan ng headsets kaya kahit napunasan na yun ng alcohol e maaamoy mo pa rin yung mga naipong laway!! heart4us it's convergys po :) and yes, shifting sched talaga. for 3months. so mejo stable naman. buti nga naayos na eh. when we started out every week nagbabago.

i also passed the exam last friday and chrissy told me that i would be having my final interview soon...however, naubusan sila ng schedule..

yuck talaga!! we complained about that first day palang namin ( batch 1 ako dun sa CSG, Converygs Makati ) pero they said ganun daw talaga policy ng CVG, share ng headsets ( YEAH NAGTITIPID! ) yuck talaga.. sabi nga namin before, kadiri, kahit may foamie, may germs dun sa headset mismo, sabi nila, may ALCOHOL naman daw.. :eyecrazy: anyway, I'm glad I got out of that hell hole :crazytongue:

Interesting find while walking around the makati CBD: Convergys is having its own building constructed at Ayala Avenue right beside the unfinished building owned by JAKA Corporation.
I hope I don't get posted there. Its nice working in a skyscraper overlooking the bay area.
I just hope someday I will be working in a telecom account that pays commissions.

Use the scratch paper given to you for taking down dictations.
Listen carefully to what the customers will say to you during the sim.
Practice your typing skills.
Practice basic troubleshooting and navigation[of Windows] of a PC.
is this for the computer assesment after the initial interview?
do i really need to know how to make business correspondences?

Guys I just would like to ask, what if you did not pass the PST, Is there a chance that you will be re-trained again or be transferred to another account. In our batch, all of us are having a hardtime passing some of the exams, the passing score is really high. we are constantly pressured everyday and some of us are even thinking of transferring to other account. we are under a telecom account, indeed challenging but the stakes are high. some of us are newbies and it's difficult to cope up but then again the training is the best, we are really learning. I just hope that all of us can make it. moreover, we are troubled by what we've heard, Is it true that if you failed PST, you are going to pay for the bond? anyway thanks guys!

hello guys,
just curious, what is the typical shift schedule of a TSR or CSR agent? Im a Christian, but I really mind working on Sunday mornings. I dont mind afterwards. Do they have shifts that go over Sunday mornings? usually how long is the training? is three months really the norm before shifting?? Are they still the best call center?
Somebody with experience with CVG please answer me.

rafcmptrxprt shifting talaga. i'm not sure about the other accounts pero ganito nangyari sakin.. 6weeks training, then 1 week transition. after that, shifting na. pag sundays hanggang 11am lang. tas midnight na ulit ang start ng shift.

Yes, applicants need to have basic e-mail business correspondence skills - so as to enable them to have more latitude in the accounts that they can be posted by HRD.
I was expecting and prepared for such a test. Consequently, I was given the option to work in an email support account among others, though I opted to work on sales order processing and upselling/cross-selling account[sorry can't disclose the exact name of the account though you may come accross it in foreign business news].
The HRD even told me straight that posting to different accounts depends on work background and test results in the different test categories[thus the offer to me to work in the e-mail support account].

training scheds start at 5am. so that's 5am-1pm. the latest is 3pm, that's 3pm-11pm.
you get paid the same amount that's on the contract. shempre may tax. and nite diff, kung maabot man.

that's good to know... ;) i'm worrying myself a bit cuz kla ng friend ko outbound sha... whew!
yep... chase din ako... training ako on april 14... don't know where and what time pa ako mgrreport.. di pa sila tawag e... pero i've submitted my reqs na nung monday... ikaw? how many days b4 ur supposed training date did they call to inform you san ka mgrreport?

a question to all HR peeps...
a friend of mine passed her final interview as both TCCR and CCR... the person who interviewed her said she should wait for their email because they will be evaluating other applicants... she got an email ngyon and said di sha tanggap?? What's up with that?
Sinabi pasado sha sa final interview tapos biglang sa email hindi?? Bakit ganun??

i passed all the tests and even the final interview, and had my job offer a few days back... the recruitment process is quite good...
and yes, im also supposed to be assigned to the chase fraud account. and start my training on april 14.
whats disappointing is the offer, i never thought that the offer would be that low.... to think that IT IS Convergys that im applying for....
buti na lang i did not sign the contract right there and then...

About the pay and incentives: What you see in the contract is not a complete description of the whole package[like what is practiced at Sykes]. Different accounts have different forms of additional incentives aside from the quarterly performance bonus[for regularized employees].
FYI: Tomorrow April 9[holiday], is 240% pay[from base rate] for 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift. Lucky for trainees who are on 12 M.N. to 8 A.M. shift.
Some accounts have both voice and e-mail support.
Convergys also services both the Direct Response TeleVision[DRTV in industry parlance] industry [inbound sales with a respectable pay as compared to other vendors] and Direct TeleVision[DTV industry as compared to DRTV] industry[as in paid TV channels on your TV or PC]. Just browse through the official website of Convergys for the types of accounts serviced since I can only give you the industry category and cannot disclose the name of the company/client serviced.

Supposedly this April; though training would be in the Insular Life building at Makati. FULL PAY on training! No such thing as training pay or training allowance. Premium paid for experienced[call center] applcants. Modest and reasonable training bond[PHP 20k for four months]. Convergys also does not impose onerous non-compete clauses for full-time staff that ban/bar the empoyee from the WHOLE CONTACT CENTER INDUSTRY for a period of time after resigning. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.

Ramping up to 10,000 employees till year-end. One bloke was even sent to training a few hours after signing his employment contract! I do not expect long waiting periods unlike during the last quarter of 2004.

Some accounts here require work on Saturdays and Sundays. I was assured by Recruitment during my initial and final interview that there won't be any shifting that requires a daily or weekly change in shift from a daylight to a nighttime schedule. Such system was implemented as a way of protecting the employees health.

here's what happened to me when we started out (sa alabang).. every week the scheds would change, either magkadikit or split off. tas lahat kami sa team minsan iba iba ren ang start ng time. nun nov. binago na.. for three months isa lang ang sked namin lahat. tas shempre nagbago na. dati mornin shift kami, ngayon, night shift na sila. wala na kaming midshift, or yun shift na nagsastart ng midnight.

Iyung applicant na iyon nag-apply rin ng People Support at tinawagan na for contract signing....a few hours after attending his first day of training at Convergys! Ofcourse he stayed with CVG because he has a signed the contract.

Guys I just would like to ask, what if you did not pass the PST, Is there a chance that you will be re-trained again or be transferred to another account. In our batch, all of us are having a hardtime passing some of the exams, the passing score is really high. we are constantly pressured everyday and some of us are even thinking of transferring to other account. we are under a telecom account, indeed challenging but the stakes are high. some of us are newbies and it's difficult to cope up but then again the training is the best, we are really learning. I just hope that all of us can make it. moreover, we are troubled by what we've heard, Is it true that if you failed PST, you are going to pay for the bond? anyway thanks guys!
hi! dont you worry no one will actually fail you during your PST training, but do expect the worse scenario come transition. Coz from our batch, 5 were terminated simply bcoz they ddnt made it or they ddnt passed the metrics.. Few tips: just do good in the PST as much as possible absorb everything that you've learned from S-T-A-R (ooopppsss!!! sounds familiar ba?) coz once you get in the transition, you'll actually look for the star! hehehe!! Oh yes, Convergys has the most thorough basic skills training. Other companies will not give you full pay for a 12-day basic skills training[probably the longest in the industry].

4-months po ang employment bond dito. Kaya ako kumagat agad though I am not sure at that time if I will be posted in my favored campaign/account/client/program. Kahit hindi ko gusto iyung account[OK na rin account ko, hehehe] na papasukan ko hindi matagal ang commitment kaya fair na rin. Wala pa akong non-compete clause[ weeeee yipeeee!]. Kaya kung ayaw ko na rito, pwede ng mag-eject in 4 months with clearance and backpay at hindi AWOL o may nakaposas na non-compete clause up to one year.
Kaya kung tingin mo toxic ang account mong napasukan o nakita kang mas less stressful at higher paying company, di kumalas ka after 4 months. Bond po rito PHP20k lang at reduced proportionately as you reach the 4th. month.
Sa Ortigas tech support[TCCR] lang.
May mga bagong accounts dito in training that I know of since March.
Relocation? basahin mo ang thread na ito merong pag-uusap ukol dyan.
Pay? iba-ibang account iba-ibang pay and incentives. Basta ako masaya dahil full base pay on training [plus minimal deductions on my allowance and I got night differential] ako although I only spent a few days on my first pay cycle[para na rin akong naambunan ng signing bonus in a way].
VL dito mas mahaba pa sa government mandated VL at pati probi may VL din.
Sulit ang basic at product training dito. Hindi salaula ang ugali ng trainor o tamad. Hindi pa sila napipikon sa pagiging matanong ko sa maliliit at detalyadong mga bagay. Ibig sabihin alam nila trabaho nila.
PM ka na lang sa akin kung interesado kang mag-apply dito.

there will be 6 months bago ka ma regular. u have for months para sa 2ok bond mo. regarding TLs, oks naman TL ko.. inde kups. kaya nga he's respected by other agents and fellow tls as well. kaya siguro we're number 1 now sa buong acount for ____ branch :D

How large is the global outsourcing market and what are the growth projections this year? What changes do you see in the ITES sector in the long run?
The global market for outsourcing for our type of contact centre business is estimated to be over $200 billion. Though it was expected to grow at a rate of 15-20 percent every year, due to global economic uncertainties it is now expected to grow by about 8-10 percent during the next financial year. Of the total global outsourcing segment we have a market share of about 8 percent and about 15-20 percent in the United States market. I feel that the sector has immense potential for growth, and momentum will continue steadily during the next few years.
Do emerging ITES players like China, Philippines, Thailand and South Africa have the potential to overtake India?
Of the other markets, I feel that Philippines has the maximum potential due to its strong pro-business government policies, English education and low cost, quality labour. I feel the Philippines is on par with India in this and can give good competition. As far as China and Thailand are concerned, although there is a large labour pool, there is this English language problem. Although the governments in these countries are taking key initiatives in English language training, it will be a long time before they are on par with India. As far as the South African market is concerned the operational costs are much higher when compared to India and the Philippines.
Attrition rates amongst the ITES workforce are quite high. Many of them do not want to take it on as a full-time career due to night shifts, monotony of the job and slow growth in terms of career prospects. How does Convergys deal with this problem?
Attrition rates among call centre workers [in India] are of course lower than in the West, but it is estimated that the attrition rate is highest during the first 90 days, which includes the training period. We have a very scalable structure that allows our employees, even from contact centres, to rise high up the ladder in our other departments as well. Moreover, to break the monotony of work, we have regular training sessions and programmes. We also promote workers to work in multiple locations across countries for more exposure. Of course, one possible reason for attrition is due to night shifts.
There has been a backlash against outsourcing in the West. How do you see it affecting your business in India in the long run?
We don’t feel that it would affect our business at all in the long run as most of the legislation that was raised has been shot down. This legislation is against government outsourcing, which forms only a minor chunk of our business. Besides this, our clients in the United States are driving us to outsource and open more and more contact centres abroad. Moreover, the layoffs in the US have been more due to the economic downturn rather than outsourcing.
What potential does your company see in the Indian outsourcing market? What are your expansion plans in India and abroad?
We are looking forward to considerable expansion in the Indian market and have opened our second contact centre in Bangalore besides the one that we already have in Gurgaon near Delhi. We plan to scale up to two more centres during the middle of next year. Our plan is to increase headcount to 6,500 people from the present 3,500 by the end of this year. We service around 14 clients from our contact centres in India. Globally we have more than 40,000 employees in the contact centre business and we plan to open six more contact centres across the globe by mid-2004. I suggest you call the trunk line of the recruitment center were you where given your tests. That is the only way to know. If you fail, take note of the period of time that should elapse before you can re-apply - and consider re-applying. This is because there are lots of accounts being outsourced to Convergys and you may eventually find an account where you would fit in.

Tip: A neutrally accented English and clear voice with proper intonation that shows empathy/sympathy to client helps in calming down irate clients. It also lessens the expression of annoyance[by the clients] during upsells/crosssells that irritate most clients. Rarely use ma'm and sir when addressing the caller; use their last names almost thoughout the conversation...it helps in making them feel important and valued.

Siguro naman tinuro na sa inyo during your PST Training ang tamang BASIC CALL FLOW? Please, please please, don't forget to ASK FOR ADDITIONAL ISSUES before you solve the problem or concern of the customer. And never ever to forget to RECAP. my interviewer told that i passed and she connfirmed that i will be receiving a job offer. after 3 or 5 days i think, the called. they informed me 2 days before the actual offer. you could always ask hr if u r on active file or not. if u r, chances are they are just waiting for a vacnt seat for you to be placed on.

i had the same experience. i had my final interview and supposed job offer on nov 2, 2004. but by that time, i was still covered by people support's non compete clause. after the non compete clause expired, i called them up to ask if i could just go ahead with the contract signing or to reapply again since technically, my application did not pushed through. i got the runaround. nauna pa yung friend ko na nag apply lang last march. it's sad because ako ng build up sa kanya nung company and i was left behind. HR said that the person who interviewed me will be the one who has the final say re; my application, turns out mataas na daw position nia.pag ganun ba iwanan na sa ere no? sa awa ng diyos, natapos na ang 6 mos period so.... i can reapply na lang. life sux sh1t happens.

Ako bitin sa product training. Kulang ang hands-on simulation..too short[by my standards]...I even badgered the trainer to let me do self study on the clients computer system, pero it seems it is not allowed during off-training hours. Anyway, the employment bond terms are reasonable and there is no onerous non-compete clause.
Meron ba dyang day-shift na account[voice/email]. Paki-PM naman. Need some help.

puh-lease! Wait for their call regarding your training schedule! More often than not, wala pang schedule na naayos so pano nila ibibigay sa inyo yun non existent sked nyo in the first place?
They usually call you 1 or 2 days before training. So tatawag yan today or tomorrow (Sunday). I got a call 2 days before my training started!
Darth, they're not giving you the run around. Just be patient and wait for their call...

operational na kaya ang commonwealth? balak ko magapply pag di ako pumasa sa teletech, kasi un ang top priority ko now. kakatuwa kasi for me dati ang call centers lang SYKES, ETELECARE AND CONVERGYS! pero nagkandarapa ako sa TELETECH ngayon kasi yon ang pinakamalapit. bka mabilis din promotion. Operational na po ang Commonwealth. Puro non-tech account sa Commonwealth. Dito po iba ang base pay ng tech at non-tech[basahin mo ang thread para magkaroon ng hinuha]. May tax free allowances pa besides the base pay. Remember may mga kanya-kanyang performance incentives[individual and team based] ang bawat account na hiwalay pa sa base pay, allowances, quarterly performance bonus.
5 months po rito pwede ka ng maging TL. Maraming bagong nagsusulputang mga accounts dito ngayon....sana nga dun nalang ako sa bagong account napunta buhuhuhuhu.
TAKE NOTE: Ang training venue po for Commonwealth CCRs ay sa Insular building sa Makati[mataas ang training pay dito-maski na ilang araw lang ang tinamaan ng unang pay cycle!].

Pati sa pagsala ng tao pati empleyado na di HRD kasama na sa pag head hunt kaso mo mahirap kumuha ng tao who is up to the job so to to speak. Karanasan ko rin yan sa paghanap ng tao who could pass the exams and fit in.

Mar Roxas urges firms to tap part-time labor to meet brisk demand for more agents
The country’s information technology-enabled services industry, led by call centers, is expected to rake in some $960 million in revenues this year, up 50 percent from the $640 million it generated last year, according to Sen. Mar Roxas, chairman of the Congressional Oversight Committee on the Electronic Commerce Law.
"Just to have an idea as to how fast and big the industry has grown, it is now generating foreign exchange equal to over 10 percent of the aggregate amount of dollars remitted by our overseas workers each year," Roxas pointed out.
Roxas said the call center sector alone is projected to fully employ 96,000 Filipinos by yearend, an increase of 50 percent from 64,000 last year.
This, as call center seats are expected to hit 60,000 by yearend, up 33 percent from the 40,000 seats at the end of 2004.
Five years ago, the call center sector had only 1,500 seats, 2,400 employees and posted only $24 million in revenues.
Roxas, meanwhile, urged call centers to strive to innovate in order to cope with the growing global demand for their services.
"If call centers are having problems finding qualified full-time customer service representatives or agents, then they should start tapping the part-time labor market," Roxas said.
The senator said call centers would not have a problem getting qualified part-time employees willing to work for at least four hours daily.
"We have more than enough college graduates that are either unemployed, or partially employed and still actively looking for more work," Roxas said.
Call centers are now aggressively looking to recruit some 3,000 agents and 300 supervisors every month. However, at present, less than five percent of call center job applicants get hired.
Roxas led the first IT-enabled services mission to the United States in 2001, when he was still Secretary of Trade and Industry.
The mission paved the way for the entry into the Philippines of several US-based investors in IT-enabled services, including call centers and other business processing outsourcing (BPO) contractors.
In BPO, foreign-based firms, in order to reduce operating costs, turn over many back-office functions to contractors in offshore destinations such as the Philippines.

Tanong ko lang po sa mga Convergys peeps, lalo na yung mga nagwowork sa Enterprise. Tuwing kelan po ang sahod niyo? Tsaka totoo po bang IBank nacrecredit ang sahod niyo?Tsaka is there such a thing as ATD (Auto Deduct) *** ipapaauto deduct sa salary ng isang employee pag may utang siya. May binebenta kasi akong mga items sa mga ilang Convergys employees, then yung kakilala (Convergys agent)ko yung parang taga benta dun. Medyo nagkakaproblema sa singilan kesyo hindi daw sila nag aabot ng shift kaya ipapa auto deduct niya na lang daw sa salary. Gusto ko lang iverify kung totoo. Sana po may sumagot, thanks.

I am an undergrad (final year, 3 more terms to go) who wants to make use of my free time, so I tried applying for a call center with a good location (near my house). I read in PEX that Convergys accepts undergrads so I went to try my luck there.
Within a minute of walking into the building, I submitted my resume and was asked if I wanted to wait to have my initial interview, which I got called for after about 5 minutes.
The initial interview lasted about 10 minutes and then around 2 minutes after, I was handed a letter telling me I passed and that I am scheduled on the same day for a call center simulation.
It had a computer-based part and a written part. The whole thing took about 3 hours. After the simulation, I was told that I passed and was due for a final interview and was made to fill out a job application form.
When I was done filling it out, I was asked if I wanted to wait to have the final interview, which I agreed to and after a quarter of an hour, I was interviewed (it lasted about 40 minutes).
Finally, they told me they would either email me or call my contact numbers for the results. I got into the building around 1 pm and left about 6 pm. Talk about fast processing (everything is done in one day if you come early enough).
Today, I was told that no later than 5 pm, I'd either get a call or an email telling me if I made it or not.
Is this a polite way of saying "Sorry, you didn't make it. Please try again after 6 months?"

OPO, hiring na po. Meron akong mapagtatanungan na eksperto sa buong Convergys accounts[dahil alam nila nag-rerecruit ako as side income]. Kaya lang busy ako kaya hindi ko maayos temporarily ang mga referral for the next one week. Meron rin po sa amin tech support na email-based. Maganda sa amin dahil maraming nagsusulputang accounts kaya lang mahirap makakuha ng qualified staff to man the seats. Remember di ka mababagot sa Convergys dahil andaming accounts.

A friend told me, actually bro ng friend ko who works at CVG Commonwealth, said that they will tell you right after the interview if you passed then give you a JO tapos they will also email ata the results of your preliminary screening tests. But if you were told to wait for the call or email, it's a 50%-50% chance of passing, they will deliberate the results from the past screening tests and final interview if you will be in or out.
Although, I'm not sure if this goes to all who applied, who passed, who did not passed and the like.

I believe they will call your cellphone or landline or email or mail you (snail mail) the results. But what was said to me is that they will be emailing me or calling my cellular phone.
Same tayo. They said they'll call within the day after my interview or the next day but they didn't call..what's up with that?

i pass through all there process but the problem is u really have to wait for there call especially if for makati/ortigas ok..they will find a account and wen training starts they will call u..but that can take 1-2months e..keep waiting..

To paraphrase BeePeeOoo, they're trying to find the right place for us (i.e. technical\non-technical, day shift\night shift\graveyard shift, credit card account\isp account\food & beverage\telephone account\other accounts).
I believe they're going to time it with training dates. Even those who immediately get entry-level job offers because of their call center experience but still have to be retrained still have to wait until the next session of product training is conducted (unless they have very good timing, meaning their job offer was made just before the start of the next session of training or, in rare cases, they do not need to be retrained at all).
At least that's what's been said. I don't know if any of what I stated here is 100% true until I get a chance to confirm it myself.

that's pretty much true _JR_, coming from cvg myself, i was lucky enough that my training started just over a week after i got my job offer.
To everyone who's interested in applying for the company, do go ahead. CVG is 'numero uno' and i cannot see any other company that would offer great compensations to you. :depressed: I am really disappointed with myself when i resigned just last month (mostly because i've gotten to know a lot of people there who have become my friends) but because it's hard to look for another company who'd offer you 17-20K which was my salary when i left them. But i'd most likely reapply after 6 mos. they're really good in handling people no question about it! :blush2:

My CONVERGYS Job Application Experience
First off, it's true, they will call you.
Ms. Kat called me today and she said the training in Makati lasts 15 days. I'm supposed to report @ their Makati Office this Wednesday. The schedule is good, training is from 5 am to 2 pm and the job is from 6 am to 12 noon.
The problem is that I'm going to be trained for an outbound, non-technical part-time position and it'll be in Makati! This defeats my main objective, which is to work @ a place near my home.
Ms. Kat said I could get a full-time the Alabang branch (where I applied in the first place) BUT I'd have to postpone my studies because the schedule is going to be rotating (meaning I may have graveyard, night shift, and morning shift) and I can't postpone my studies, unfortunately.
However, I will still probably go to Makati for the job orientation offer just to see how much a part-timer (6 hours, including breaks) would make and how many days a week and of course, the biggest reason, to check out if there are more aesthetically pleasing members of the female specimen than in Alabang. :D

that's right dude! just like my GF, she passed the initial and the simulation exams for both CCR & TCCR but she did't make the final interview (sabi daw ng HR ha), she was sent an e-mail informing her that she didn't make it....grabee!!!!

Hi! I also took the exams last May 13 at their Makati office and passed it. As far as I know, as long as you gave them your contact numbers, they will give you a call for your final interview. It takes about a week, 2 weeks or a month or so before they call because the next person who will interview you will either be the account manager, supervisor of the account you will be assigned to. They might still be looking for an account where you will be hopefully assigned. Just wait for the call.
I also filled up a sheet where it was stated that no follow up calls were needed because they assured me that I will be called for that interview. And may God help me that I pass that final interview when I get there :)

As far as I know...Wala pong outbound sales dito[Philippine operations]. We do have an outbound account doing surveys BUT not sales. No DA account here[Philippine operations]. Eperformax and RMH has DA account. Sales here is inbound not outbound[at least 2 programs to my knowledge] that also involves customer support. I can't name the accounts but I can only describe them in a limited way due to confidentiality issues.

Honestly, if you want your application to be processed faster just walk-in in any of the CVG offices and bring your resume with you. Just wait for around 30 mins. and you'll be interviewed ASAP. It is preferred that you do walk-in at the branch where you prefer to work (i.e., Ortigas, Commonwealth, Makati, Cebu, Alabang). Tech accounts are based in Ortigas/Makati and the other centers (including Makati) have non-tech accounts. However, if you don't qualify for the tech account then it is understood that you'll be screened for the general customer service accounts. By the way, the turn-around time also depend on the volume of applicants that a center process. Usually you should alot a week for your application process like in Alabang, we usually process the application of our candidates with in 2-3 days. It really depends... Anyway, good luck to everyone!

Depende po sa account ang degree ng hirap. Depende rin kung ang client database ay user friendly sa mga call center agents. Maraming factors...
May malalagpak sa basic training, sa product training, sa certification, may ma-teterminate while on the floor. It happens in the whole industry. If you have a stable job with modest pay...it gives you second thoughts UNLESS you can get back to your previous employment or has side income like me. Kaya kung sa akin okey lang ang sumugod dito sa industriya..walang mawawala at matututo pa ako sa iba't-ibang client ng Convergys.

Can i still apply as partime in your company? I didnt undergo English Proficiency Training in Global because the training conflicts with my work so i decided to stay with the company. And besides i worked in another call center but it is a different call center coz we handled medical fields only.. I want to earn addtl income and i am a good seller ...

Sa kontrata ko, wala akong non-compete clause[no mention of 6 months or 1 year or anything that prevents from working with another call center after leabing Convergys]. Pwede akong lumipat sa ibang call center immediately after resigning/termination.
Baka ang tinatanong ni Victor wood kung gaano katagal bago bumalik uli[re-apply] sa Convergys which is different from a non-compete provision[if you can work at another call center after resigning from Convergys].

What do you see as the regular workload and compensation of:
a. Supervisors/TL's?
b. Trainers?
I just need your take on this because, honestly, I have an eerie sense that we're kinda overworked and underpaid...I repeat...an eerie sense.

Actually after 4 months you can re-apply... the 6 months waiting period only applies to applicants who failed the screening process. Just write a formal letter of intent to Peny Bongato HR Director. I just like to clarify that you can't choose your account.

yes you can...I think Recruitment will be asking for a feedback from ur TL (check in performance, basically). It will also ddepend on ur reason for resignation. Goodluck! :)

The world’s largest call center Convergys Corp. today informed President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo of its plan to increase its call center seats in the Philippines from the current 5,300 to 8,000 by year-end.
Convergys senior vice-president of the customer management group Frank Kelly, vice-president and country manager Marife Zamora, and customer management group senior director for operations Terry Seaford met with President Arroyo shortly before noon today at the Music Room of Malacañang to convey their company’s expansion plans in the country.
Convergys is a global leader in integrated billing, customer care, employe care and transaction management software and services. Among its long list of clients are government entities and top companies in telecommunications, internet, cable and broadband services, technology, financial services and other industries in more than 40 countries.
President Arroyo was pleased to hear of Convergys’ expansion plans, as it would help attain her administration’s program of creating 10 million jobs in six years.
The Ohio-based company currently has seven call center facilities in the Philippines, six of which are in Metro Manila and one in Cebu. It is set to open its eighth call center in the Philippines by the fourth quarter of 2005, to be located along Ayala Ave. in Makati City.
Apart from the current workforce of 5,300 in the Philippines, Convergys has also tapped its first Filipino expatriate to serve the company’s office in Jacksonville, Florida.
Filipina Malu Ros, who served as senior manager in the Philippine office, is now the director for global communications and culture training of Convergys.
"Convergys is committed to expansion and growth and wants to translate this to employment opportunities in the country. We are rallying with government institutions and the academe to ensure that we continue to have a steady stream of highly-skilled, quality people," Zamora said.
Apart from providing employment opportunities to Filipinos, Convergys and the Department of Education have also trained 330 public school teachers in English skills improvement to enable the school system to produce more fluent English speakers who could serve in contact centers.

I would like to be sure if I failed or not. I applied at Convergys Ortigas branch three days ago it was Wednesday and had my initial interview on that same day (fortunately I passed it), the next day (yesterday) I had my exam (and fortunately I passed again), and today I had my final interview.
I really don’t know if I still have to expect a call from Convergys, my interviewer told me that she will still be showing my files/resumes and test results to her colleagues and review it, and that I have to wait for their call two days after the final interview if I passed, she also said that if I don’t receive any calls then my file will be put on to the "active file" (which also means that I failed)
What can you say?
