Well I can't really comment on Sykes or People Support. But I can say that I love working at eTelecare. Excellent training and the culture is very healthy as well. You will want to work hard, you will want to be good.
As for the salary, I have to admit other call centers pay more than eTel but personally, I think it's enough. I net 13-14k at least every month, sometimes as high as 17k. And this doesn't includes spiffs for sales and commissions. I guess it's not so bad.

Sometimes it's not the call center per se.. it's the account you land in.

I agree. You'll love the account (and the job that entails it) more than your company; what follows is only secondary.
As for the topic...Etel is nowadays threatened by Convergys, PeopleSupport and even dark-horse Ambergris as the # 1 call center in the country. Especially that I heard that Etel is putting more of its premium in outbound/telemarketing-based programs rather than its tech support and inbound programs, at a time when the US federal government is cracking-down on telemarketing.

don't know about sykes and peoplesupport but sa etel when i was there the pay was ok specially if you're in the nightshift at least during my time coz binababa na yata yung basic pay nila...as for the work itself since i was in tech support (matrix) it was stressful parang during you're one hour break gusto mo lang matulog buti na lang ok yung team that i was in we were supportive of one another
