hala ka SOBRANG HIRAP yung first interview!!
hehe... j/k ;)
Basically, your first interviewer is gonna try to get to know you by checking you on your background (eg. the things you put in your resume), your personality, and also your communication skills.
This is the time when you should make your strengths apparent to your interviewer so good luck :)

ey take it easy... didnt mean to scare you kanina :)
although the number of interviews vary, in my case I had three...
My first interview was what I described to you... tapos my second was similar although we also talked about my career interests and what dept I'd like to get into...
The third interview was the most challenging. This is where you will meet your boss and he/she will be testing you on your knowledge of the position you're applying for... In my case, we ended up talking about econ and financial matters for about an hour...
As for the department... I would suggest you find out which departments have openings... I'm guessing that would be HR, IT and maybe accounting & finance...
These are the departments which are easier to get into compared to marketing for example...
Anyway... good luck in your application :)
Just relax and do your best :)

hi candycandy (sorry for butting in dekster...bored ako and walang magawa :) )
the starting salary is P25 with a lot of benefits (rice, food, transpo allowances). you can even avail of a car loan after 6months. the rate of increase in salary is one of the highest in the industry... if you're really good, you can probably reach six figures within 5 years.
the bottom line, it's a very good company that really takes care of its people :)

P25T pala not P25 :)
I'm not sure if may IT openings pa right now because P&G's IT department is being sold to Hewlett Packard :(

Hi, my father has been with P&G's IT department for more than 25 years. He retired a few months back as a director of IT for P&G Asia Pacific (Petron building, not the 6750 building which is P&G Philippines--but the IT of the P&G Phils was also under my dad). It's true that they're selling their IT department since they find it cheaper to just buy IT services rather than maintain their own.
Yeah that's around P25 grand may kasamang 13th month pay. Futhermore ang alam ko may bonus na ibibigay pagpasok na pagpasok mo sa company in your first month. Parang welcoming bonus. Anyway, good luck with your future endeavors with P&G and I'm telling you...you won't regret getting into a multinational company. You get to travel a lot and you get to keep your mileage points. My dad now has enough mileage points to get our whole family free roundrip flights to the US or Europe.

Yung sister ko sobrang swerte. Besides being a star scholar in DLSU Manila (and not paying a single cent for her bachelors and masters degrees), she's also a P&G scholar and she gets money every month sent to her ATM account. Damn.... this is only open to children of P&G employees.

it's a bit difficult lang these days because from what i know limited (or nonexistent) yung openings in sales and marketing ng p&g.
p&g is primarily a sales and marketing company and you either have to have a good background in either and/or a kick-@$$ resume. there's no harm in trying.
good luck!

Anwyays, I'll just try my luck there. Thanks.

its for HR, yun lang daw ang job vacancy ng p&g as of now. ndi ko lang alam kung totoo or baka im just not qualified for the other dept....but its good enough for me. i liked it there coz the place is really nice. one thing though, parang ndi ganun ka-friendly mga tao:)
candycandy
kahit walang job vacancy, try it din. no harm naman ryt?;)

I think what your interviewer said was true... most of the other departments are being outsourced kasi e which explains why they're not hiring anymore.
People being unfriendly? First time I heard someone say that hehe... personally I find the environment here quite warm :)

Yup your dad is quite well known :) Many were surprised when he announced he was retiring. Heard he's working for another mfg comp now.
Anyway, as for the signing bonus, only the peeps who graduate with honorbale mention at the very least can get that tapos kailangan first job mo yung sa P&G :) As for the salary naman... it varies depending on the department you're in and can even be lower.

Hi, just an FYI...
Freeze Hiring sa Finance & Accounting Department ng P&G. Kapa-follow-up ko lang ng application ko kanina.
I was interviewed 7 months ago, pero it's good to know na hindi ko na kelangan mag retake ng exam if ever na magkaro'n ng open position. :)

Alam ko parating may test dito everyday. They havent stopped hiring IT people for the HP Transition..
But worry not (for those people who still want to apply).. HP pays higher than P&G, so even if you get transitioned, they make sure that you are well compensated. ALthough I dont know if the salary increase will be as lucrative as that of P&G..
Peace out!

i'm interested din to apply with p&g. i hope someone can tell us kung pwede walk-in applicants and anong floor sa 6750 siya. sa mga nagtest na share naman po ng tips!:)

you can go to the 18th floor of 6750 anytime during the week, ask the receptionist for an application form and the schedule of exams. they hold exams round-the-clock on wednesdays, you can actually just walk in on wednesday, take the exam without an appointment, fill out the application form and submit it on the spot. but if you want to spend more time on the application form, you can get it days before you take the test so that you can answer it more carefully at home :)
i don't remember exactly what other documents i submitted when i applied (i applied in late 2000 for a summer internship :D) but they will probably ask for your transcript of records if you're still a student or if you're a fresh grad, so bring one if you have a copy. for people with job experience, i think an updated resume would do :)

to my knowledge, R&D in Asia is based mostly in Japan. :) there are occasional openings in sales and marketing, but competition for those spots is extremely fierce - they usually get only the top grads from the best universities. for us lesser mortals, there are a lot of openings in IT (most of IT is getting transferred to HP though, so you can also apply there), HR/Employee Services, and Accounting & Financial Services. :)

Businessweek recently published an article on P&G and it's CEO, AG Lafley. Check it out in the following website:

I have always been intrigued by this catch phrase "new AND improved." If the product is new, how could it have been improved? And if it has been improved, how could it be new?

Read Ch. 2 of "CBS..." I mean..."Kellogg on Marketing" re. Goal-Based Positioning. Investors have to be assured that P&G is a company that will meet their goals/aspirations of higher returns. Ergo - catchy one-line company descriptions lead to higher analyst ratings. I won't be surprised if their 10K is written the same way.

I wonder if this is a statement against P&G -- or against the analysts who rate them.

Just graduated last March. Had just one interview and got offered to be posted abroad.
In P&G applications, its important to have that network or grapevine info. Most of the openings aren't announced, but just circulated along the 'network' and P&Gs files of applicants. It will really help if you know people personally on the inside, esp in hr.
