yep i agree panalo training dun matututo ka ****...and ok din environment walang mga pasosyal at mga maaarteng agent kung meron man eh konti ***...isa lang **** ang mejo sablay...ang pinakamalaking dahilan kung bakit nagsisialisan ang mga agent...of kors sympre sweldo...

i'm not a graduate of a computer-related course pero masasabi ko lang na madami po talaga akong natututunan dito link2. mababa man sweldo pero kahit pano worth it...and totoo nga po na nde ma-ere mga tao dito. san ka nakakita ng opis na pwede kang kahit naka "pambahay" na halos ang suot mo. pero syempre yung matino ha hehehe... nde tulad sa mga pinang galingan ko na kelangan semi-formal ke-GY man o nde ang shift mo basta mon-thurs ang araw sus. at home ang atmosphere dito sa link2 kaya kahit pano ok narin. magsipag nalang para kumita :)

Kung sa link...aba e di na makatao yan...baba na nga sweldo san ka pa kukuha pambili ng mga mamahaling polo saka slacks. Lahat naman ng ginagawa ng management na pagluluwag like dress codes, friendly atmosphere ng mga officials, pagmumura habang nakamute, at kung ano-ano pa may kapalit yan....like low salary, mandatory work on rest day, salary discrepancy, and ofcourse yung lintek na pagtitipid ng kuryente sa cr saka floor. Hnde naman purke masaya yung atmosphere sa link ok na..isipin din dapat yung kapakanan mo bilang agent. Kung ano nga ang tunay na kapalit ng laat ng mga pagluluwag na yan.

come to think of it...i just cant imagine if link officials would still give that much freedom to their employees if they are giving the same salary like convergys and sykes. OF COURSE NOT! They will be strict coz they are giving you that amount of money. So what your salary is, will be the same respect you'll get. Fair enough right. So theres no big deal really with the dress code, barubal mode etc.....lakihan nila sweldo then we'll see kung ganyan pa rin treatment nila sa mga employees....aba kung still the same kind of treatment well....baka lahat ng agent galing a ibang call center maglipatan na...ngakngak (wishful thinking..oh crap!:)

ang mga taga link2 hindi mo ma co compare s ibang agent ng call center pag dating s technical... pag galing k ng link2 at lipat k ng ibang call center as techsupport,, taas noo mo, mas magaling kp s team leader... pwera n *** *** support ng SYKES na linux and CISCO... pero yung mga ISP ISP n yan at dell techsupport,, chi chiw n lang yan sayo...

yeah korek nga yan...maganda yung training dami mo matutunan bout networking...ewan ko rin nga lang depende na rin siguro sa trainer...nung time ko kase mababangis pa yung mga trainer eh ewan ko na nga lang ngayon....pero di lang naman sa training eh mas marami kang matututunan pag deployed ka na sa floor..lahat ng simpleng kabarubalan eh matutunan mo na rin...hehehe...

regarding the pay pde mo rin namang mapataas yung pay mo...yun nga lang kelangan mo tlgang bugbugin ang sarili mo sa oras ng trabaho...overtime, work on rest day, perfect attendance...you can also earn like other agents in other call centers pero yun nga *** *** oras ng ipinasok mo eh higit na mas mataas kesa sa mga andun sa ibang CC...

pero overall ok nmn **** sa L2S...lalo na kung ang main purpose mo **** eh magpataas ng market value hehehe...

I want to quote you drakanh....first, if a company doesn't have any rules it will be a chaos. All companies do have their own rules and regulations. Second, you are complaining that the company gives you a very low salary, think....did you read everything what is written in the contract before you signed it? If you do regularly report to work? no absences and tardiness? You can earn enough....even more if you'll render overtime and work on rest days...they are giving you enough pay and incentives for all the hardwork done. Imagine....giving out a lot of incentives....all for the benefit of all the agents. Another thing is by giving out enough benefits for the regularized agents.

I've been working with the company for more than a year now....there are times that I do complain but now I'm seeing right....the company's been giving all it's best to compensate all of us by giving everything we need. Before we don't have any additional incentives....only our salaries...but right now, there are lots of them. From a simple and plain pantry to a big and enjoyable one. There are a lot of difference from what the company looks like before than today. With all of these, of course the company do also deserve our loyalty. All your complaints are being heard by the management and I know and belive that they are doing something about it.....but do give them a time. Things have to be done slowly but surely.

As you have stated earlier, you're just new in the company....put yourself in our case....do you think we'll stay here longer if we don't know that the company has a future? i saw how the company started until now.... just think about it.

Well if we have the same "Generalized" exam. Im 100% sure na i did pass the exam sisaw lang un CISCO and Basic English ko lang un! :lol:

usually *****, rate per room is 600/head and 2 *** sa isang room with own CR na po yan! pero if u wanted to be alone 1500 sa isang room is ok. kaya lang we should consider the place, kac dapat accessable and One ride lang. u know na law of economics.. pero well try to find some! and of course dapat mo ring tingnan ang place if convenient lang ***.. :eek:

A. as simple as applying in usuall way, pero if i wer u.. concentrate ka muna sa pag a-aral mo. ganyan din me dati. gusto makahanap na agad work while at school... well, it maybe lucky for some. but not for all kac minsan it usually come uo to a point na they have to give up school and concentrate nalang sa work, after all thats where the money is.
So kung ano man decision mo, hope u will not end up in a honeypot. after all education and knowledge is POWER!

Follow-up answer, nag tanong din me regarding ur Question, and one of the Interviewer said that Link2support does not discriminate educational attainment. however if u pass the said exams, and interview nila then why not? so that means kahit under Grad ka.. if ever u pass the exams, interview and the trainning then u are Welcome!

bagong balita yan ah...kulelat na ba talaga ang link2 sa lahat ng linksys centers...kung totoo yang balitang yan eh mejo matindi yan..dapat kase matigil na ang kakuriputan ng management jan kung gusto nilang maging maayos ang support ng mga agent..if they want to instill a good working attitude which would translate into good performance for employees then they should compensate accordingly...magagaling ang agents jan in terms of training and technical skills but siguro di masyadong naapply siguro kase hindi gaanong ganado ang mga agent dahil sa kakarampot na kinikita...

imagine you will be paid a measly amount of money for making 2,3 or 4 computers online with a playstation or xbox pa paminsan samantalang agents in other call centers who have ISP accounts just have to make the main computer work and get paid more...

if they want to get a better performance from their agents which i think those trained people can they have to realize na they are managing a call center hindi pabrika kung saan kahit binabarat ang mga empleyado eh wala silang choice kundi magtrabaho pa rin dahil walang kakainin ang mga anak nila if ever...in a call center environment if you don't pay agents well they can either go to better compensating call centers or not do their job well anjan na ang lahat ng klaseng pambabarubal ng customer which would translate to poor overall performance...

buti nga may mga nagttyaga pang agents jan eh..siguro it's also because of the brand name they carry...and the technical knowledge they can obtain..aside of course from the cool and friendly agents...but aside from those factors haha ewan...saludo talaga ako sa mga tumatagal ng lagpas one year jan...hehehe...it must be dedication and loyalty... *okay*

As fas as I know, hindi masyadong mataas sweldo ng mga programmers dito sa Manila. Sus.. di naman talaga mataas magbigay dito! Kahit Level 2 na magkano lang ang bigay?!? Ang hirap ng support pero compared sa ibang call centers na ISP lang, umaabot sila ng P18++ sa sweldo! Kuripot ang mga chinese/ taiwanese talaga. :lol:

Mapping Out a Global Strategy
Why call centers can't avoid the demand to go global.

My brother-in-law, who's completing a degree in city planning, recently described an assignment from one of his classes. He drew a map of each store in his Philadelphia neighborhood where he buys his clothes. Then he mapped out the countries where each article of clothing is made.
This exercise demonstrated how easily a neighborhood becomes a microcosm of the world. We can similarly draw a map of the places that offer technical assistance to customers by phone.

Let's look at Linksys, a leading provider of networking equipment to consumers, as our example.

Following an acquisition last year, Linksys became a division of computer networking giant Cisco, which sells to businesses. Cisco has a solid global support operation. Initial support requests from Cisco's customers go to a call center, run by the outsourcer Convergys, in Gurgaon, India. Agents at this location verify if callers are entitled to support before determining where to direct them. From that point, callers to Cisco can expect that someone around the world will be available to assist them.

Linksys, by contrast, hasn't always had the best reputation for support. Two years ago, a close relative of mine repeatedly reached voice mail when he sought support from Linksys. A reader of this magazine wrote last year that he spent a total of three hours in queue over two evenings without reaching a support rep. This lack of support was costly to Linksys, as the reader returned a wireless router from Linksys to the store where he bought it and purchased a competitor's router instead.

Incidents like these used to happen often for a simple reason: Linksys didn't employ enough support reps.

That's not an option anymore. With the growing availability of high-speed Internet and wireless services, more consumers are buying and asking for help with networking equipment. Demand for support has grown as Linksys introduces consumer electronic equipment like wireless video cameras.

In 2002, the number of support calls to Linksys peaked at 12,000 on Labor Day, and settled down to 10,000 per day, according to Victor Tsao, vice president and general manager of operations with Linksys. (Tsao was Linksys' CEO before Cisco's acquisition.) In 2003, support calls on Labor Day reached nearly 18,000 before leveling off to a daily average between 14,000 and 15,000 calls.

Who handles these calls? Linksys has 80 support reps in Irvine, CA, but the majority of the reps are elsewhere.

More than 500 support reps in Manila answer calls from an outsourcer, Link2Support, whose sole client is Linksys. These reps are available 24x7 every day of the year.

Linksys also contracts with Progeon, a subsidiary of IT services provider Infosys that supports customers by phone 12 hours a day, five days a week from a center in Bangalore, India. Last November, 50 reps at Progeon took calls for Linksys; now that number exceeds 100. At press time, Linksys was negotiating to offer support through another outsourcer, vCustomer, from a call center in New Delhi.

Why is most of Linksys' support operation outside the US? Tsao's explanation: "Here in the States, it's difficult to hire people and turnover is so high."

So what do the reps in Irvine do? Unlike their colleagues overseas, they mostly deal with the more challenging support issues, including those from customers of Linksys' partners.

The cable company Cox, for instance, escalates calls about Linksys' cable modems to Linksys' center in Irvine. Since Christmas 2002, reps in Irvine have also answered calls from customers of retailers, including Amazon, BestBuy and Buy.com. i worked in link2 for almost 2 years at nasa early batch ako. i decided to work with another call center because of growth and financial reasons. the next call center is one of the biggest in the world and they are starting/started to ramp up in the Phil. I really could say that Link2 has, if not, the worst paying scheme with the other call centers but there are still good things about this company.

Lets start with the bad news first:
1.) sobrang baba ng pay. enuff said ^_^
2.) slaving hours
3) politics, Im sure, madami. actually may 3 layers
-psr=>TL=>sup=>admin/mgt
4) slave drivers, you have to conjure up an even worse ailment(LIE) just to be absent for a day. ex: Reason: Sorethroat ==>DAPAT NA REASON: Flu
5) pati ba blankets sa quiet room PSR pa magliligpit?
6) Hygene: kelan ba last time nalinis ang carpet?last time na nabasa yan ay nung pinasok ang small pantry ng tubig ng ulan at umalon until sa half ng floor, that was link2's 1st year. kaya marami nagkakasakit e
7)IMHO, they think staff are expendable. They would never EVER persue or stop a good staff from quitting.
8)UMUULAN NG IR
9)incapable of mercy ang mgt,in general
10) ineffecient, if not lacks accent and cultural training

1)Technical training. you will never find the same training in less that a month (with soooo much information). nuff said^_^
2)bayad ang break and lunch
3)ps2,xbox,billards,sleeping room and more
4)monthly incentives that depend on your learning curve, skills and sound knowledge about your job.
5)all other call centers prefer link2support previous agents rather than anybody else. kahit na gaano ka kabarubal,wild,kaloko or as in hindi ka marunong maginstall ng LNE100TX, ay priority ka.
6)you will get a unsaid nick as "TECHIE".I often hear this with other agents in the other centers,"Oi taka link2 yan, tanong tayo sa kanya"

yeah, you got a point. pero kung ako naman ang tatanungin, i even consulted other call centers, and yah know what they said? "Link2 ka? astig ah, mahirap dun"... meaning, kapag nag apply ka sa ibang call centers, mataas ang market value mo.. and higher market value means higher edge sa work and specially on the technical side. ;)

What I'm really disappointed at is 10. Some agents really lacks the accent and cultural training.

Well, what I understand about your "cultural training" is the personality of Link2's employees. I'm not saying all, because I have lots of friends there, but what i've observed is that most agents really don't have breeding, they're cuss mouthing, dirty ( as in sa cubicle nila ), and blabberful as in todo bungisnigs!!!!! Good thing I resigned there last year....

With regards to work culture, most people are really hard working, hands down.

I also noticed that even to the supervisor lines like J.P. and B.R. I've heard that those 2 are total aholes.

namumuro n sakin *** mga taga-CDO n yan n nagtatransfer ng call.. just now, I'm handling an escalated call regarding wcg200.. when I talked to the client, he said that he doesn't know where I got that model because what he had is a wrt54gx4. :eek: .. This should have been handled by the technician from CDO.. :grrr:
