pimping, drug dealing, joining criminal gangs.... including joining politics. (since politics is all of the above!)
aside from that, i will totally support whatever career paths they decide to take. my rule will stand firm, they can take whatever course they would like to take in college, but it better sustain them because after college, they are own their own, financially! i will not be an instrument in churning out deadbeats who rely on their parents at age 30!

hi! :) my uncle died in Mindanao in the 80's and he was in the Air Force. That tragic happening caused a lasting trauma for our family.
I have nothing against military people. In fact I admire them.

Sorry abt wht happened to your Uncle. My hubby was a us soldier, and my brother is a us marines who just back from Iraq. I can't blame you. Mahirap talaga!!! I still keeps thinking about him
Here's my question, paano kung gusto ng anak mong magins sundalo what will you do ? tanong lang :)

Tough one... Pero pinangako ko sa sarili ko, I wouldnt get in my children's way kung ano man ang gustuhin for their future. As long as it's not an illegal thing, I wouldnt interfere. But if there's anything I could do, I'll try to lure his mind to something else while he's still young :D
 to you! Im glad your brother came back safe. My uncle was killed inside their Davao house, in front of my cousins. I know you know how this affected all of us. Kaya I consider military men heroes fighting for a cause, risking their own lives. Very admirable!

angeldevin: i'm really so sorry abt ur uncle :( . God bless his family!!! I would like to thank your uncle's loveones for the sacrifices they made, and the sacrifices your uncle made . I know sorry and thank you cannot ease the pain you guys suffered, but I would like you to know that I'm very proud of your uncle, and he's a true hero!!!
nek_o2 : pareho lang tayong frustrated soldier, but I might be enlisting early next year, if i'm in a good shape, I have 4 months to pull it.

I want him to be an Architect, since I'm a frustrated one, pero syempre,I want him to be happy din sa kung anong career gugustuhin nya
--Military - kasi it runs thru hubby's family, yung bro-in-law ko is in US Army, then yung dad nya retired US ARmy din, then sa mom side naman 2 uncle nya ang nasa Army at merong isa sa Airforce.
-- Sports Figure NFL player or NASCAR driver kaya (you wish!!!)
--Physician - at his age, iyan lagi sinasabi nya,he wanna be a doctor daw and he want to go to the moon :glee:
Basta siguro kahit anong trabaho (na legal) and he's doing it for fun,but at the same time he earn a good living.

gustong maging paleontologist ng anak ko, tapos gusto din niya daw maging volunteer soldier at fireman, ewan ko lang kung ano siya when he becomes an adult, kahit na ano, as long as he is honest and kind in the future.

LIke angelDevin, I dont want my son to join in anything that would put his life in danger all the time. Nerbyosa ako eh, so, I dont want my son to join the army, marines, police force, etc. etc.
Funny coz I wanted to join PMA, hindi nga lang ako pinayagan ng mama ko.
I also dont want him to be in politics or serve people in politics.

I am into nursing now and I have to admit that at first, I felt it wsn't for me, but when I am already doing the job I suddenly found it to be a noble job. There are lots of people who are happy with this profession because it gives them real skills which they can use anywhere. Nurses and Caregivers are a valuable part of the healthcare team. :)

- pare, madre (bawal mag anak, muslim imam pwede kasi pwede mag asawa)
- prostitute, gro, massage girl (sakit lang abot niyan)
- pulis, sundalo, boxingero (patay agad)
