di lang po sa mga call centers ang nakaka-experience ng ganyan.
even before call centers were established in the country, yung mga prod support sa mga IT computer services (such as accenture, SVI and the likes), meron nang ganyan.
and even before them, yung mga nasa manufacturing plants, refrigeration plants... and then there are those ever trusted security guards...
hehehe... napapalayo na ata ako ah.
back to topic... ako wala pa naman experience sa ganyan... although most probably this year, i will have. na-assign na kasi ako sa prod support eh.

hi neth_row, i don't know about the call centers, but in a production support, such as supporting the system of a big airline company, that will be a big responsibility... especially during peak seasons. you're lucky if no abends/glitch will happen during your watch (and you're absent)... but unfortunately, there will always be, at least one. so, you get it now?

so far i haven't experienced working on christmas and new year's eve, because our department schedules our rest days to fall on those days. i just hope it remains that way. :D :D :D

you're right. The employer should make you choose if you want to be on duty on christmas or new year. Hindi pwedeng both. :)

my 1st Christmas not at home was during 2001. As early as October I already bought plane tickets. Tapos biglang naging shifting na ako nang december 1 :grrr: :bah: i was very upset that time.
ngayon kung walang pagbabago, dec.25 lang ang meron akong duty. off ako dec 31, jan1 :bounce2:
'how does you feel..' tapos call center?? :rotflmao:

Night shift ako last December 2002, kaya may pasok ako ng Dec 24, 9:15pm until Dec 25, 6:15am. Also Dec 31, 9:15pm until Jan 1, 6:15am. Mejo bad trip but I couldn't really complain because I was just newly hired then. Yung Christmas Eve pa naman yung gusto ko because Noche Buena yun eh. Pero okay lang, come to think of it.
