Could be flesh trade or human smuggling? It won't surprise me that folks fly to the US with a different name. 5 pinoys were caught during their stop at Japan (on the way to US) back in the early to mid-90s.

Di po fraudelent to, seryoso po ito. The name of the Agency is Global Medical Systems, Inc based sa Legaspi Towers po. Matagal na po kme dito at dati Middle East lang po kame nag dedeploy pero meron kami bagong affiliation sa US. Yung mga jobs po na ino-offer po nmin dito sa US e mga factory workers,teachers, caregivers, nurse at doctors po. *** po mga sex slave dito, grabe **** kayo. Legal po to lahat, We have complete papers, POEA license and permits po dito. Ok po ba? you could check our office para makasigurado kyo. Pero kung pupunta kayo dito e, please do come in groups. You could invite your friends, relative and officemates na sawa na dito sa Pilipinas. We will orient you in the office. Just inform me po para maganda yung pag accomodate nmin sa inyo kase araw araw po madami pumupunta dito.

I bet you have to pay at least $5000 to get you to the US right?

May sinamahan ako sa US and we checked out a number of agencies, a number run by Filipinos and $5000 is the standard fee to get you some under the table job with low pay until your employer signs the H1-form and it's not even a guarantee because the BICS still has the power to reject your application...

All I can say is Caveat Emptor...

All I can say is Caveat Emptor...

I doubt, however, if the BICS will reject working visas for teachers and nurses in the immediate future. In another thread, it was mentioned that these jobs have separate visa classifications with a higher quota. However, most employment agencies offer services in this area anyway. It does not take out the requirement for applicants to obtain academic units and take the licensure exams.

Visas for doctors, on the other hand, are a bit more difficult to obtain. Doctors come in either under a J1 if they are training/on residency, or on H1 if they will practice. The trouble is that the BICS is currently imposing a witch hunt on J1 applicants while H1 applicants have to contend with the quota for which they must compete with engineers, corporate professionals, etc. Perhaps if the applicant is coming into a hospital in desperate need of doctors, that should improve his/her chances.

I am not sure how an agency can place factory workers in the US. In theory, factory workers would have to obtain an H1 but then, how would you justify the need for a foreign factory worker? Willingness to work under hazardous working conditions, perhaps?

Well, my parents' choice to immigrate wasn't based on economic factors since we were doing pretty well back there. I know this may sound weird but we immigrated because most of my parents' friends were doing it. They figured that since they were doing it, why don't they give it a try. I was actually surprised when they told me that our visas got approved since I never knew they even applied. It was totally out of the blue. Peer pressure is a *****, eh? There was even a time when my dad regretted the decision -- I guess that should teach him a lesson to think something through before doing something drastic. But then again, the experience has been all good. :)

well, I knew a lot of nurses who migrated to US without any fees.
Its all paid by the agency. The name of the agency is IPAMS, correct me if Im wrong. Kaya lang, I asked them how much was the hourly rate, they said its 15 bucks/hr. but if you're an NCLEX passer, 20$ daw for the 1st year. First 3 months yata ay free ang lodging and after that you are on your own. May contract daw na 3 yrs sa hospital before you can change employer. Not bad.

Pasensya na kayo ha. Di ko po masasagot lahat ng questions nyo ngyn kase tita ko yung nakakaalam lahat nyan. Nasa prov sila lahat ngyn, nag oorientation sa mga caregiver schools sa Visayas. Kaya they wont be around til oct 23. I just want to help our agency in advertising kaya naisip ko mag post sa PEX kung effective mag market dito. Ngyon kse we are affiliated with Global Medical Systems, Inc. pero we are currently processing our papers to have our own POEA license so wont have to pay to Global royalty fees. Our office sa Ortigas e ginagawa na ngayon. It is located in Strata 100, 19th floor po dun, beside Mega Productions. We have registered our name as C and L Recruitment Agency. C and L Recruitment Agency is from San Diego California talaga. NAg branch out lang po dito sa Philippines. Kaya habang pinoprocess po nmin yung POEA nmin, nakipag affiliate kami sa Global. Iniintay na lang po yung POEA license nmin na sarili at matapos yung office then we will be stable. Most probably complete na lahat yan then start na kami ng mid-November dun. Tagal noh.
