I'm working at an international retail company and
I believe I have the most horrific boss. She has
no respect for her employees at all. One time in a
meeting she scolded at my friend: "Pupulutin ka
sa kangkungan" My friend resigned few weeks after
that. And I too am just counting the days...

hef.. kinda reminds of my former geometry teacher.
she told me : "when you grow up... you'll be a babaeng nagbebenta ng aliw"
I WAS IN THIRD GRADE... EIGHT YEARS OLD AND COULD NOT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND TAGALOG THEN.
I HAD TO ASK MOM.
this is Mrs. Adriano from OB Montessori.
the same one who stole my rocksteady and bebop sharpeners to give to her son.

Threaten her with a lawsuit if she says something defamatory against you. Bosses who lord it over their subordinates to the point of making personal attacks against them ought to be taught a lesson.

Managers or bosses acting like this are not "seasoned managers" or were promoted with little to no people/staff management skills yet.
Kinda reminds of my old boss.
My old boss:
- Breaks the team spirit/morale. Creates and sow's confusion and bickering among his subordinates so he'll know who's on his side or not.
- Threatens every staff "Bago ako malaglag, kayo muna".
- If he or the team has a "bulilyaso". He forces his staff to join the management meeting so his staff will have to explain to management. (Managers are suppose to take the heat for his or his staff's failure)
I won't forget the line of my former officemate:
He told this to my boss during our meeting:
"Kami (staff) and nag-angat sa'yo sa pwesto mo at kami din ang magbababa sa'yo."
True enough it did happened. We (rebel staff) had thorougly identified my boss's people. We met secretly and planned our course of action. We took our case to the highest position in our office.
And the rest is history... we reigned and now being managed by a very good people manager :D

hmmm ...
a boss na bigla ka na lang susungitan for no reason at all

i always fare worse with a smart boss who knows what he's talking about. i like working for someone who's not so bright but takes care of me. it's a better motivation.

Got one in the past who is a slave driver. She knows my sked is 9am to 6pm. If I leave the office at 6pm. She's going to ask me why? Duh.... You can just imagne, yumaman kami ng workmates ko dahil sa OT. She won't make us leave until it's 5am and she wants us back at exactly 9am. I was in that company long before she was there, my former boss asks me to render overtime pero d naman gaya ng ginawa nya. I didn't think twice I packed my things and said goodbye. After I left 2 more of my former workmates decided to resign. A couples of weeks later we found out she got 6 more people as our replacement (2 for each of us who left).
