Hi! I was wondering if there is anyone here from E-Data Services (medical transcription & IT outsourcing firm in RCBC Makati). If you know anyone there, please tell me about the culture, working environment, shifts, salary, & benefits for those with science background but w/o MT experience. My friend is after career satisfaction & at least 5 figures pay.
Madali ba makapasok dito? I heard thy're one of the reputable medical transcription companies in the RP. :)

madali ba makapasok sa e-Data?
yes, it's very easy granting one has sufficient experience, say a year or so at least...if not, it would be a bit difficult but not unlikely...it's still a growing company and though they prefer those with previous MT experience, there are rare cases that they hire medical people without the necessary experience..
also, aside from medical transcription, the company has another section that is involve in dealing with medical records..and the good things is, one DOES NOT need experience to qualify...
why don't you tell your friend to try out both...afterall, there's no harm trying...

Thanks dude! I'll tell my friend about it. Medical Biology ang background niya kaya lang walang MT experience. Realty, Java programming and web dev yung background niya after college graduation pero gusto niya subukan mag-MT. Nagsisisi siya walang market para sa science background niya (aside from med rep, research/teaching, and call center).
Like me he turned down several offers coz he hated the contract bonds. Lapit kasi sa bahay niya ang RCBC.
If you have any more advice, I appreciate your help. :)

*bumping this thread up*
I had my final interview last January 12 for the medical reviewer position. The nice lady who interviewed me said they'll call up again around after 1-2 weeks and after they come up with a pool of 10 medical reviewers. It's almost a month and they haven't called back. I e-mailed them and ask regarding the status of my application, however, I still haven't received any reply.
Anyway, I like their office and the people there were so nice, especially Ms. Julie who lent me her ballpen when I was taking the exams.
Thanks!

All the while, I was thinking I will be interviewed lang so I didn't bring anything. Kasi ang sabi, interview lang. Eh may examination pala? So I had to borrow from her.
Anyway, I'm still waiting for their call/e-mail.

Hi guys!
I am a law graduate and I heard about eData Services on another thread I created (about jobs for law graduates who haven't passed the bar exams yet).
I went to the company's website and emailed my resume to the HR and Recruiting Department, but I haven't received any call or email from them yet.
Should I just go to eData's office at RCBC and apply in person so they can give me an exam and interview and so that my application would be processed that same day?

Uhm, Brandon96, I don't think it works that way because when I went there for my final interview, a walk-in applicant handed her resume and the receptionist told her to wait for their call.

not bad din pala basic pay nila, pero do they give premium ba pag may experience ka na? say 3 years na legal transcriptionist ka then ngapply ka, do they give credit on your experience?

Don’t know about that, but, my exp or wala, you will undergo the same training, pero my edge ka siguro sa mga entry-level, kc you have exp. All you have to do nlng siguro is to familiarize yourself sa mga terms at sa voice nun client at client specifications na rin.
And MAYBE, kun kelangan na ng editor, maybe you’ll get promoted, kc you have exp na rin, and OF COURSE DEPENDE RIN YUN SA WORK PERFORMANCE.
Remember yung salary for transcriptionist sa previous post (sa taas) e basic salary sa regular employee na.
You need to meet specific standards (quality and quantity) to reach next level… hehe…
TRAINING- 1-to-2-month period ata to
PROB A- for two months
PROB B- for three months
THEN REGULARIZATION NA (this time yun quality and quantity kun na meet mo e for INCENTIVE purposes, not bad diba, hehe.. . d mo na kelangan maghabol, mit mo kun gusto mo ng dagdag na pera… hehe)..
Each level, iba-iba salary nyan…
Then kun regular kna or kahit proby pa siguro , kun gusto mo maging editor, paka bait ka, joke ***, DO YOUR JOB *** NG MABUTI…

yes, of course thay would give credit for experience. they might even consider you for editor post, which has a higher starting salary. have you tried applying already?

ah ok. eh maybe they didn't reply because it wouldn't be right to discuss salary thru text? try asking during the interview.
nahiya? don't worry, hindi yata uso yon sa edata! good luck!

i was offered 12K for probationary period as Editor III and then 14K upon regularization by e-DATA last week. I skipped Editor I and II based on my exams and qualifications... Stability and security wise, ok sana magwork dito, pero sobrang baba talaga offer nila regardless your experience.

I was almost one of the pioneers as a medical reviewer back in sept. 2006. Di ko lang tinanggap ang offer nila kasi back then I was preoccupied sa pagtake ng exam sa Nursing Local Exam. Well, kung may nagsabi na di pala maganda maging medical reviewer nila, then I did a right decision na hindi na tanggapin yung contract nila kasi hindi daw maganda.
Anyway, anu nga pala yung conflict bakit di ok magwork dun? And anu yung salary ng highest paid na employee sa review dept.
thanks

highest paid in terms of bonuses and incentives, which can be up to 8k. catch is you'll have to wait kasi their incentive period is 2 mos tas mga one month after mo pa matatanggap THAT IS IF UR LUCKY hehe.. mabagal sila magprocess. as in super. mabagal din magtake effect ang increase dahil hindi agad napprocess ang reports nila para maging regular ka na. madaming issues e. there was one incident where one reviewer received a bonus and it was taken back by the management dahil daw sa "techinical error" hindi daw pala sha dapat mabibigyan. saklap diba.
basta. i dont recommend applying or accepting jobs from this company. magsisisi lang kayo.
