Starting Salary for a Programmer/ Prog Trainee

What would be an acceptable starting salary for a Programmer Trainee for a bank? Do you have an idea on how banks pay out? Any entry level programmers in the house?

naku mababa magpasweldo banks sa mga programmer trainees nila. swerte ka na if you can get to 10k

for banks, it is way below the 10k mark. kasi they will treat you as that, a trainee. besides, a regular programmer for the said institutions are already low as it is, much more a trainee only.

with regards to your question as to what is acceptable, well, i don't know. what i can tell you is that an entry level programmer (programmer trainee) for other IT companies will offer you as much as 14k... now i think that is acceptable. but be wary, a bond usually comes with that.

in ACN before more than 16K and they will train you in US but now there is no more training in the US and starting salary for JSE also went down to less 15K.

bank have very low pay - especially when you compare it to companies belonging in it/consulting.

10k is a good start. tas when you get regularize (after the prob period) comes the perks naman like christmas bonus, midyear, rice subsidy, educaitonal benefit, etc etc

and also, from what i hear, kahit mababa ang usual offer sa mga banks, umaabot naman ito ng upto 16 months pay... bukod pa yun sa mga nabanggit na perks above.
