mga kapatid, tulong naman. i am teaching Management Adivsory Services next semester, at gusto ko lang malaman kung ano sa tingin niyo ang magandang libro for MAS.

right now, i'm using MAS by Cabrera (magandang pang-board exam pero medyo mababaw), yung libro ni Louderback (mukhang okay naman pagdating sa concepts) at yung Management Accounting and COntrol ng UP Press (ganda ng mga cases at philippine setting, pero hindi kalat sa market). ano pa kaya masa-suggest niyo?

Meigs & Meigs is a good Accounting textbook. But the drawback is that most examples are only applicable in American industries. For Management Accounting, Sollenberger is very reader friendly. It blended Mathematical concepts and Accounting Principles well.

First you need to get to the publishers' website. McGraw-Hill, Cengage, Pearson or Wiley, check the book to know the publisher, then from their navigate their website by following instructions. Just not sure if they require student password which is included in the book.

Foreign author ok ang Beams or Larsen, but that is assuming you can distinguish US GAAP from IFRS.

These books have test banks available to college professors who adopted these titles as their textbook. Wala niyan sa ibaba ng RESA. Ang mga testbanks hindi nagiging obsolete, unless nagbago ang accounting standards. Just be careful, kasi all US-printed books are based on US GAAP not IFRS.

my personal advice is to be a WISE buyer. the trick is not in the quantity but the quality. just make sure you maximize the book you bought or will buy.

True, nag leave sa BOA si Mrs. Cabrera, pero hindi ang pagtapos ng librong yan ang main reason, nagbigay siya ng letter sa mga co-board member niya sa BOA explaining her reason for taking a leave. Mukhang hindi siya happy the way BOA was being run.

Ang pagtapos ng mga librong yan, pampuno na lang niya sa oras niya. Di naman kasi siya makakabalik sa review circuit nang ganun kadali.

among your old books, perhaps the only ones that are useful are books relating to MAS and business law. all the rest have updates so you may need to buy new books for those

among your old books, perhaps the only ones that are useful are books relating to MAS and business law. all the rest have updates so you may need to buy new books for the other subjects.

Una ang presyo, Php 500.00, I think ok na yun assuming tag 250.00 per partdi ba. As compared sa 2 volumes ng tax reviewer nina Tamayo at Reyes I think mas mura na sya and also yung fous notes on buslaw, as I remember lampas 250.00 ata yun. Nakapal naman sya so I thik di na kayo mashoshort-changed.

2ns, defects.. Di ko lang sure ha pero yung nabili ko kasi ay marami ang misplaxced pages, as in madami mga lampas 20 na nga yun eh, nakaainis lang kasi mahal yung book tapos may ganun pang pagkakamali. Unang labas pa lang naman nya so I thik baka normal yung ganun

3rd style... in both Tax and Bl ay mayroong parang summary notes ang author. Maganda ang pagkakarrange nya, may coherence. after ng lecture notes eh mga quizzers, madamii ang mga tanong, though may ibang mga sagot dun na di ko talaga ma gets bat yun ang sago, feeling ko mali yung suggested answer pero I think baka may namislook lang din ako. Overall, pagdating sa content eh ok na to. yung ibang tanong dun past CPa boards pero di na nilagyan ng author ng label, haha para siguro kunari original nya, parang unethical ata yun, ay siguro kasi inedit din nya so ok lang.

4th san makakbili... I think in most book stores meron. Talamak kumbaga, wait wala pa sa underground bookstores ha, so di kayo makaksave haha par patas lang din.

eto ang secondary question na dapat masagot ng bawat students, because even some professionals like me, have not yet fully read the contents of the PAS, and PFRS except for some seminars i have attended, eithers it is not applicable to they current job or due to lack of quality time!

It's been a while since I visited this thread.. I'm already heading for my last semester in college and I am getting nervous as the day of graduation comes and day of the board exam.. None that I know of, but you can use part of TOA of Wiley CPA Reviewer, provided alam mo difference ng US GAAP sa IFRS. Manghiram ka rin ng CPA Review handouts from the different review centers, o kung nasa Manila ka, meron sa Lares, pa-photocopy mo na lang.

None that I know of, but you can use part of TOA of Wiley CPA Reviewer, provided alam mo difference ng US GAAP sa IFRS. Manghiram ka rin ng CPA Review handouts from the different review centers, o kung nasa Manila ka, meron sa Lares, pa-photocopy mo na lang.

I used his book when I was in the undergrad which happen to be the book used by my prof as well...hahahha

My personal assessment...Satisfactory. Worth buying as supplement but not main reviewer. Hope this helps.

ok so i will be using the same edition (2006) na lang. Isa lang ang comment ko sa syllabus ng management consultancy - SOBRANG HABA FOR A 3-UNIT SUBJECT LOAD. WHY?

kasi ba naman hinaluan ng kung anu anung topic na covered naman sa ibang subject offerings, like:

meron isang unit at least 4 chapters na dedicated to financial management 1 and 2 na already covered ng finman subjects. meron 3 to 5 chapters covering, accounting information systems, auditing EDP systems at management information systems which is already covered by separate 3-unit subjects.

Ito ba iyong Management Consultancy na 3rd edition na yata either kulay light blue or light yellow green? Its a quizzer type of book na madaming multple choice, problems at excercises that reminds me of the book by EDLAGAN before. (some MC are the same).
