Hmmm...marami akong nabasa about "bashing" ngayon kilatisin natin...so i-pin point nga natin yung mga improvement/downfall ng economy natin because of some individual from your school.
Kayo muna ha...friendster muna ko...no bashing please ;)

It’s the same grounds why you shouldn't connect school influences to having an assured good-governance...
Aminin na nating lahat. Let us cease to be hypocrites at once. The University of the Philippines (UP) is the most famous and the most prestigious university in the country -- top 1, best of the bests. Other schools may have a course offering that can head to head with the ones in UP. For example, UP Med vis-à-vis UST Med, UP Law vis-à-vis Ateneo Law, UP Business and Accountancy vis-à-vis DLSU Business and Accountancy, but when we'll look at the whole range of discipline (in a particular UP’s rival wannabe), no body comes close.

Yun ang topic eh...i-connect sa school...like I said wag niyong i-connect sa "bashing"
America?
O cge let's name some
Harvard University - oldest institution of higher learning
Graduated from Harvard
Presidents of the USA
John Adams
John Quincy Adams
Theodore roosevelt
Franklin Roosevelt
John F. Kennedy
(buti na lang wala si Nixxon  )
some writers, biologist and rocket scientist
Harvard has a research center (Harvard-Smithsonian)
Center of basic research in astronomy, astrophysics and the space science...tawag dyan e technological advancement which is the cornerstone of economy.
Harvard world's largest library...correct me if I'm wrong pero dito yata na beta-test ang Internet (another great contribution for the economy of America)
Hmmm balik pinas tayo...
DeVenecia (ADMU ba?) - pro charter change...gusto niya lang maging prime minister eh
Lucio Tan (FEU) - business tycon
later...

Erap - na drop out ng ADMU?
Correction: Lucio Tan (FEU) - business tycoon provides jobs pero TAX evader daw?
Siguro pwede natin i-bash yung tao no?
Kung may alam kayong personalities who contributed/ridiculed something to our country e i-post niyo na with their school :)

ah ganun?
Anong pinagsasabi mo? Education is the basic tool to progress our economy/country.
Wait...we have so many inventions pero hinde napapansin...

for example, UP studes mostly do not make it to the top (or uppermost management) kasi marami ang nagpupunta sa grasroots level, nagso-social work, etc.
so i don't know if we can ever establish a correlation between progress and school.

As a matter of fact,
UST is BETTER than UP sa MEDICINE
AdMU is BETTER than UP sa LAW
DLRT is... well... BETTER than UP sa Physical Education.
How come UP is the most prestigious university?? UST and AdMU are specialists. DLRT...well...

baka gusto mong tignan ulit kung ano yung pinagusapan talaga nung una. AFAIK, the thread starter was asking if our country is developing because of our respective school.

May nabasa ako sa Japan, universities are working together on R&D for some technological advancement.
Parang ganito eh the big 4 working for the next generation DVD
ADMU: The disc should be square
DLSU: No pinhead! dapat triangle
UP: dumb *** kayong lahat dapat pentagon
UST: Wait paano na yung backward-compatibility with CD/DVD
ADMU, UP, DLSU: STFU! CD/DVD dapat itapon na luma at laos na!!!
tsk tsk

To Aquinatis :
This is not a nice venue for educated people. TSk tsk
