Any info about this company? I heard they're 100+ Accountants until January.
What are the benefits and the work culture?

It's pretty much like P&G's global business services where you perform finance and accounting functions (among others) for the Caltex comps worldwide.
I'm guessing the opportunities there will be good since you would be handling different regions for one. There is however that risk of being outsourced which was the original intention for P&G GBS... then again, this is unlikely to happen to Caltex Asia for a few years (until its operations have stabilized).
No idea about the compensation and benefits there though...

I didn't know that P&G, Unilever and Shell had management training programs. Last I checked a couple of years ago, applicants were hired into functional units such as marketing, sales or finance. There were no rotations across different departments and there was no guarantee of promotion into an operational unit after a fixed timeframe. The same was true for Caltex.

yup, its true, ive already been interviewed by abetia. my other friend had already been interviewed by caltex after abetia.
Question: do they *** mga experienced accountants ba? sorry, i was not able to clarify this during my interview. But she said nga na CPA r preferred, but not a requirement.
there's no offer yet on my friend, but start pa lang interview sa ksearch, ask na *** current salary and other bonuses that u r currently receiving.. not sure lang if tatapatan nila *** bonuses and other benefits....
sentinel.. how long did the process took b4 ur friend got hired? thanks!

You can finish the whole process in 2 days.. 1 day sa Ksearch, another 1 sa Caltex (yun yung may panel interview). :) usually pag ok ka sa ksearch and di sila masyado busy they will schedule you the next day dun na sa Caltex.. If 9am ka nagstart around 11am tapos na yun, including the job offer from HR. Yup, kelangan nila yung current salary, etc.. for the job offer.. usually tinatapatan nila.. di masyado madami yung benefits but the basic salary is GOOD!
starwish, nainterview ka na sa Caltex..? :)

may isa pa pala ... Chevrontexaco Malampaya.
Please note that the Malampaya Natural Gas Project is a joint venture between the following companies:
Chevrontexaco - 45 % interest
Shell Philippines Exploration - 45% interest and operations
Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) - 10% interest
-------------------------------------------------------
I think Sentinel and Starwish are talking about Caltex Shared Services. And since this company will handle finance, accounting and HR of different Chevrontexaco geographies (including Caltex Philippines), the employees will work on shifts to provide 24 by 7 operations.
With regard to the question on process engineers, Chevrontexaco has converted the Batangas Refinery into a World Class Terminal to service the needs of the Asia Pacific Region (including Philippines). This means wala ng manufacturing. All finished products are imported from Refineries in Singapore and Thailand.
cost of manufacturing > cost of importing ...
I suggest you contact the HR of Caltex Philippines (6th Floor, 6750 Ayala Avenue, Makati) to inquire about open positions sa Batangas Terminal.

yup, its the CSS...
ganon *** ka-urgent *** need nila...
sentinel, not yet interviewed by caltex, and i doubt rin.. im currently employed and may 30days pa after ng file ng resignation.. so, if ganyan nga ka-urgent *** need, i doubt the chances much more...
anyways, goodluck to u guys! :-)

bong2, wait ka lang.. am sure they will sked you for interview. Madami sila kelangan esp. sa Disbursement Team. :)
starwish, why not try pa din..? basta 1st qtr next year yung target date nila.. they do know that every company requires a 30-days notice bago payagan umalis yung employee.. standard yun! hmmm, ***** happy ka pa sa current work mo.. and malaki na salary mo dyan.. :D if that's the case wag na nga.. :)
