Wish I could give you solid figures but I'd say it's always negotiable. It's best to name a figure depending on your qualifications and experience. (Of course the other side of me would always go for what is the highest).

i asked because a prosepective employer asked me my rate i said:

it's negotiable

and then i was asked how much i earned to which i replied honestly.

so.. what do you think?

if they still want me, do i tell him how much i really want?

thanks!

Linuxmandrake: where re you working? laki nun ah!
ako din po training officer but not in a call center firm. I guess it depends on your expertise, if it's technical, i think its much higher. Soft skills training kase ako eh-behavioral training.

pallas_athena- I think you have the right range, but of course you might as well know the complete package.

i turned down an offer just yesterday.
they had openings for team leader lang and their non-ngotiable offer:

PhP 18,000 to work for 6 days a week.

no good.

Is a training officer simply longhand for "trainer"? How much does an entry-level trainer who is VERY GOOD with English and has an accent and has been a former CSA for 6 months at Etelecare get at such-and-such call centers that you can tell me about? Thanks!

Cigawette,

Does ICT impose a bond/penalty and a contract requiring a fixed minimum period of employment with ICT? I am interested but only if the net takehome pay is 20k or more. and provided the ofc isn't in Alabang or further south of Makati.

The sad truth is that even if you're William Shakespeare himself, you are still not qualified to become a trainer if you do not have any experience with teaching students or training employees (being a speaker at a seminar doesn't count as well). Good English or a perfect accent does not a trainer make.

I think that depends, VerbalKint, on the call center. At Etel the requirements for trainers did not specify prior teaching experience as an absolute requisite. It was just a plus.
