recently joined the epmax "family" ? sa 17th me nakatalaga maiyak iyak ako nung nakupo ako sa console at pumutok and mga paputok nung bagong taon at nag tatake ako ng calls.

first job and yes first call center. nakakatuwa sa floor parang may gerra kasi pag nagtatake n kami ng calls parang mga baril ang tunog nd keyboard d ko alam kung galit s mundo ang mga kasamo ko or talagang designed ang mga keyboard dito n sobrang ingay.
isa lang ang hinaing namin sana hawak namin ang remote ng aircon kasi ang LAMIG!!!!!

ok lang naman ang pinaka problema kasi namin sa DIET ay typing certification the rest of the certifications makinig ka lang, galingan ninyong mag ipon nga happy cards at hopefully kayo ang unang pipili ng pizza at the end of the DIET (sa amin kasi pizza ang prize)
specially kung galing k na sa ibang call center ok n ang DIET typing lang talaga.

ojt or a-bay starts after you pass the pst and start making calls… pst usually takes a week…

other than the posted OJT sign dun sa console at *** trainor na na magmomonitor at magbibigay ng grade mo based sa call n mapatapat sa kanya... wala. masaya ang unang araw ng ojt lalo n *** iyong first call. :)

the HR contacted me after i submitted my resume online.she said i'm scheduled daw for one-on-one verbal test. actually i have a job and i'm just looking for a part-time stint. pag nag-jump na ba yung evaluation process, does that mean i don't have to take written exam? just curious. i'm really interested, but i read somewhere around the thread they don't accept parttimers. sayang naman.

batch 39 na daw pala kami, not batch 9. kasama din pala sa bilang yung DIETs for DDA, GEO, etc.

baka makasabay namin kayo purple.sassy and MEM2 sa PST kasi from our batch, 9 lang ang pwedeng makasali sa next PST, the rest who passed the DIET will have to wait for the next next PST. :D

salary is every other friday which makes it around 26 payouts in a year.

21500 x 12 months divided by 26 payouts.. do the math

MEM - yes, there are a few who fail diet...sabi ni justin, mga 2 or 3 usually. but only 13 out of 21 sa batch 5 pumasa...the 14th was moved to batch 6 dahil sa typing, but the other 7 didn't pass diction kaya goodbye na sila...kami yata yung highest casualty rate sa diet...

sa pst naman, i know of one guy in batch 6 who wasn't given a 2nd chance after flunking BOTH his calls...sa batch namin, dalawa kami na nag-retake ng 1 call (pero pasado naman 1 out of 2), and look at them now, nasa top sila for QA sa december... (95-100% bracket) :D

as far as i know, nobody flunks ojt. meron daw isa sa batch 8 but i'm not sure...just heard of it today...

* DIET and PST

DIET is diction and intonation enhancement training. This is like accent neutralization, plus enunciation and pronunciation improvement. By improving accent challenges, this ensures better, clearer communications between agents/reps and clients/customers

PST is product specific training, where they teach things that are particular and unique to the client/account/program/product that you will be assigned to handle/service.

* Is DIET and PST part of the screening process?
No, they are not part of the screening process as they are part of the training process. During the screening process, however, a short diagnostic test will be administered to assess and evaluate an applicant's challenges in spoken English.

*Work of an IP relay operator
IP relay operators assist those with hearing impairments to communicate over the phone. The job requires excellent listening skills, fast typing skills and a strong confidentiality ethic.

concerning kung ano ang pag-aaralan before DIET, ang mahirap lang naman talaga ay ang memorization ng mga keys at and typing certification the rest manageable naman, PST naman kung makakalusot ka sa DIET kaya mo n rin ang PST just as long as galingan mo lang sa typing tests un lang talaga and madugong parte sa whole DIET and PST process...

you can say pst is the classroom part where u take notes, listen to people talk about what to do and things like that, ojt is the application part wherein u apply everything that was though to u from DIET and PST. you will be taking live calls once you're in OJTso its a bit exciting specially the first day and the first call... :D Good Luck :D

there s a program wherein it measure how fast in words per minute (WPM) u can practice in www.typingtest.com and www.learntotype.com. all i can say is practice makes perfect... Good Luck :D

no ure not hired until ur on production. when u start diet and fail the exams u dont move to project specifics (PST) if u pass diet and move on to pst but flunk pst u dont move to ojt. if u pass pst and move on to ojt but flunk ojt ure not hired. thats how tough it is..


so unless ure fairly sure that u hit the typing speed requirements.. i would suggest that u hd on to ur other applications. i dont wanna scare u guys pero in my story it was my best friend who was first into this company and i just resigned from another company because of the lucrative pay here. my best friend flunked the typing exam with a 59 and she did not made it. and she was in PST. batch 8 has 3 people who did not get to ojt because of the typing and another one who flunked ojt itself..

the only consolation i can offer u is that, when u get to be on the production, u saw what u have gone thru and u know u deserve that goddamn 25k fat paycheck

to put it bluntly, diet is like right being between a bum and hired.

your contract signing comes on the first day of PST, syempre provided that you pass diet... :)

go for diet...i know of someone who chose etel over diet but if i were you, i'd go for diet...pwede namang isabay sa night training kung kaya coz as far as i know, diet is usually in the daytime. diet's worth the gamble...it's 21K if you make it as IP...passing rate is usually about 85%, my batch was the exception so far with all those diet casualties...i believe justin when he said usually 2-3 lang (out of at least 15) yung bumabagsak ng diet...and if you don't make it to the top 15 of your IP class, you get moved to the next batch pag tapos na sila mag-diet...mga 2 more weeks waiting time...

i filed my resignation at my old call center 10 days before my diet schedule, and i didn't get paid till november (hired ako oct. 25, my first day at PST), but i still feel it's worth it...

and eperf doesn't accept TL or QA applications externally...sabi daw nila...you have to establish yourself for at least 3 months in eperf before being considered for TL or QA...i think there's someone in our account who became TL after just 3-4 months at agent level! eh external hire siya...

(offtopic) yun nga lang, mukhang wala kaming atleta sa IP...mag-apply naman diyan mga matatangkad at magagaling magbasket...if not, i may be IP relay's starting point guard, and that's not a pretty sight...

go for diet...i know of someone who chose etel over diet but if i were you, i'd go for diet...pwede namang isabay sa night training kung kaya coz as far as i know, diet is usually in the daytime. diet's worth the gamble...it's 21K if you make it as IP...passing rate is usually about 85%, my batch was the exception so far with all those diet casualties...i believe justin when he said usually 2-3 lang (out of at least 15) yung bumabagsak ng diet...and if you don't make it to the top 15 of your IP class, you get moved to the next batch pag tapos na sila mag-diet...mga 2 more weeks waiting time...

i filed my resignation at my old call center 10 days before my diet schedule, and i didn't get paid till november (hired ako oct. 25, my first day at PST), but i still feel it's worth it...

and eperf doesn't accept TL or QA applications externally...sabi daw nila...you have to establish yourself for at least 3 months in eperf before being considered for TL or QA...i think there's someone in our account who became TL after just 3-4 months at agent level! eh external hire siya...

(offtopic) yun nga lang, mukhang wala kaming atleta sa IP...mag-apply naman diyan mga matatangkad at magagaling magbasket...if not, i may be IP relay's starting point guard, and that's not a pretty sight...

no ure not hired until ur on production. when u start diet and fail the exams u dont move to project specifics (PST) if u pass diet and move on to pst but flunk pst u dont move to ojt. if u pass pst and move on to ojt but flunk ojt ure not hired. thats how tough it is..


so unless ure fairly sure that u hit the typing speed requirements.. i would suggest that u hd on to ur other applications. i dont wanna scare u guys pero in my story it was my best friend who was first into this company and i just resigned from another company because of the lucrative pay here. my best friend flunked the typing exam with a 59 and she did not made it. and she was in PST. batch 8 has 3 people who did not get to ojt because of the typing and another one who flunked ojt itself..

the only consolation i can offer u is that, when u get to be on the production, u saw what u have gone thru and u know u deserve that goddamn 25k fat paycheck

everyone has to go through DIET. As for the typing test, the person must at least type 20 wpm. they need TLs for paypal, i think.

pag cert na mabagal daw sa una...that goes for diet AND pst. pero pag pangalawa mabilis na daw...

sanayan lang yun...it's the same script for easy, medium, hard, difficult, saka cert 1 and cert 2 or whatever they call it...mga iba nga eh, di sila maka-60 sa first try, nag-rely na lang sa sanayan para pumasa...

just remember to spell GALLAUDET correctly... :D

heard some things about this company:

1) The GM and the owner had a rift- GM resigns, owner takes over operations

2) Regularization increases have not yet been given to the pioneers (is this true)

3) There has been a management "rigodon"- so to speak

4) The HR-Wellness Manager has just recently resigned

common listings: average to difficult

matching register: average, justin will probably give you a mock exam on this on thursday
typing: i think it was different, i only got flat 60 on my first try, without practice rounds. most of my batchmates got higher nwpms

sobrang sisiw ng written test, dude...pati mock nakaka-1 or 2 mistakes ako...never ako nagperfect dun until the final. study your city names in the first mock, sobrang hirap ng mga city names! if you've got DA experience (i don't, pero isa ako sa dalawa na perfect sa city names) you'll know a lot of them...

puro NBA teams yung mga cities sa final, if i'm not mistaken...

matching register? concentrate ka lang...some of 'em are tricky. in the meantime, just remember, in DIET, profaniTy and final T go together, ika nga ng isang batchmate ko...

typing, they give u either one of the 2 cert tests. mabagal lang compared to "hi professor johnson/hi jane/gallaudet ek ek"...

dun sa narinig ko, although i think medyo huli na itong balita, the culprit was the typing certification. very strict talaga ang battery of typing certification pag pumalya ka sa PST **** napasa mo n *** sa DIET goodbye, and oo nga pala pag ns floor na guess what, in 6 months may typing recertification uli.. ang saya saya :D

stress is a very relative word a stressful situation to one person may not be that stressful to another... all i can say is if u are willing, try it... it might just fit u and the benefits are not that bad :D

taking calls in ip relay is like being an actor and a machine at the same time. you have to evoke the spirit of whatever your originator is typing, but then again, you have to read...and type word-per-word, and reply with such lame responses like "operator here i'm not allowed to be engaged in conversation...", thus the machine part.

for example, i like prank calls, kasi usually mapapamura ako gawa ng pag-type ng orig (sometimes the orig and term are one person), except when they don't know how to use relay, that ticks me off. others find prank calls very stressful. scam callers? mga laruan ko yun...they are so predictable with their lame-a$$ copy-paste scripts...

You'll make the passing basta't sundin mo lang ang tinuro sa inyo. Just know the process and you'll be fine. Saka "standard calls" lang yung gagawin sa PST.
