sorry to be rash. no names dude, its not only ur arse that we are protecting here given that this is a PUBLIC forum, but ours as well. u know the fact that we are not even supposed to be discussing things in here. first u were giving out names, then u were asking about salary specifics, now this? were not even supposed to discuss the salary package but we freely gave out this bit of info just so that u guys would be abreast of what u are entering into. that itself is a breach of what we have signed. pero chrissake dont be so goddamn blatant about it.
let me ask you, DO YOU REALLY NEED TO POST THAT BIT OF INFORMATION?

im sorry that i had to post messages including MCI restricted information, including job benefits and employment concerns. and im sorry for being unable to keep my mouth (or rather fingers) shut (or maimed or whatever).

MEM2 - well, a few, whose names shall remain unmentioned, have actually did. we can actually ask her to delete a whole thread here to save everybody's a$$es, but i'd be against doing such. after all, this thread is quite memorable, i've gotten to know some operators even before they hit the floor...
now dude, i hope u won't take this negatively, since we're all for saving each other's a$$es here. all of us...except for ioram_17, who just found out about this thread, are guilty of breaching something somewhere in that little paper we signed. even using "ga", "sksk" or "qq" is breaching something somewhere, because that's ip relay jargon. but we tolerate that...we tolerate the mention of "do u carry" as long as it doesn't come with any actual call content. but what we're wanting NOT to do is post actual call content, and some of us had been guilty of that in the past. we do NOT want to name any names, even if we know which pex nick matches the relay opr. we do NOT want to name her royal highness by name, or anybody who works in a high position in ip relay/mci. dude, ok lang mag-post ng QA grades (lang), but QA's, regardless of call center, aren't the most popular people in the center. if a QA's name is associated with a failing, or a less-than-spectacular grade, it makes them look like ogres...and even less popular than they already are...
we're just trying to stay clean, dude. we're not trying to be goody-goody, in fact, i still pride myself as the bad boy (or one of the bad boys) of ip relay...but this is a public forum. in the possibility that her royal highness sees this thread, it won't just me who'd be gone...everyone in here would be in hot water. i wouldn't want my "rebel WITH a cause" reputation to go down the drain by getting fired prematurely. besides, i've got people whom i'm supporting thru this job. just because american operators post anything and everything under the sun in their own forums (including racist remarks!) doesn't mean we do the same. it's your call if you want ada to edit some, or even all of your posts here, but i personally like the thread as it is...as it has shown us evolve from discussing salary details, call content, etc., with reckless abandon, to more careful relay operators who want to keep their jobs.

no offense but i hate this company. they make people wait during interviews!!they're so unprofessional! i worked for epmax for 6 months and boy it was hell!! i was with the MCi program, and i hated it!! people are so conceited. MANAGEMENT sucks!! they give low compensation and 10% nite differential. Even our transpo allowance is only P100/day. IMAGINE?!! it just shows that the company is not that STABLE YET CONCEITED!!!

YUCK!! i hate eperformax!!! i worked for MCI sa company nila for 6 months!! the company sucks. management is soo palpak!! they are so unprofessional also. grabe ang politika sa company na ito. nag AWOL na nga ako kasi di ko na sila matiis eh! pero look where iam now. i work for HSBC.. and they even pay me thrice of what i was getting in epmax.. so ppl, beware of that company! they're a scam! :diablo:

In the first place, their nite diff is 10%, which, according to the department of labor, should be 20%-30%. My pay now in HSBC is P23K. At least it's a better company compared to epmax. YUCK! to hell with that company.

5. Field personnel and those whose time and performance are unsupervised by the employe
B. Minimum Night Shift Pay
o Every employee is entitled to a night shift differential or night shift pay of not less than ten percent (10%) of his regular wage for each hour of work performed between 10:00 o'clock in the evening and 6:00 o'clock in the morning.

yup. 10% ang mandated nite dif ng gobyerno. and i find that person, um, pathetic, di man lang nagresearch. oh well, u cannot please everybody. if u cannot change ur environment change ur attitude. that person decided to change environments and that person is now at hsbc. cool. no plm about that. para sa ating natitira, let us just tailor fit our attitude with this company, *** naman mawawala di ba? magiging OC nga lang tayo lahat. haha.
pero inis din ako sa eperformax nung recruitment ha! i missed 2 final interviews with 2 other call centers because of the recruitment process. pikon. pero that is past na. i will not dwell in the past. i will instead focus on my focus alerts. duh..... wait, connect.....

this i show the process goes..
come in early with your resume (8-9 am)
you will be scheduled for initial interview immediately
if you pass the interview, you will take the written exams
if you pass the written exams, you will be scheduled for a one-on-one verbal test
if you pass the verbal test, you will be scheduled for the final interview and job offer
you can actually finish the entire process in one day, provided you come in early.

gimik ng epmax? well, the first thing we need is a basketball tournament. then, probably we could have a rock concert featuring epmax's loudest musicians. not some lame-a$$ children's party disguised as a talent show where we had to go thru some serious high school deja vu and stay after shift to practice dance moves/practice our singing/etc. oh, maybe that's just me...the ever-so-frustrated athlete/musician ng ip relay...

so while i am it, let me rattle on. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THE EPERFORMAX HAPPINESS OFFICER??? why is it that this company boring? im not referring to the people of course. boy oh boy, u get to meet a lot of personalities here. name a psychological deviation and we got em here. anyway, ano gimik sa eper? is the cafe enough to satisfy our happiness wants? un na? la ba gimik dito? the last one i guess was the xmas party ( oh yes, i just so love the food, fabulous ). un na un? oh well, i guess we dont need any events to tickle us. we are all so happy taking calls. blah.

am i enjoying my job? umm.... so so. not really that i look to it everyday. what keeps me here is that mci accounts are easy accounts. it gets to a point na boring pag minsan kaya HELLO HAPPINESS OFFICER!!!! something to liven the mci accounts please.
tsaka sana magoffer din ang eperfomax ng training classes about other things aside from the training sa mga accounts natin. para naman may growth. kasi un ang sinasabi nila sa mga ads nila e. *** lang suggestion lang.
mabuhay ang epmax cafe!!! sana dumami na ang menu choices. tsaka sana kahit cookies man lang e magkaroon sila.
un muna for the moment dudes and duddettes and mga kadudada.

guys, all of these are tsismis. lalo na *** sa rmh. what i know about sykes is that they handle the mci cust svc acct. i think. my memory is not that good after that crazy productivity chuva of mci. sheesh. anyway, wala na tayo laban dun bcz of the contract that we signed. we are supposed to work for 48 hours. grrrr but hey, look at the bright side. we get to serve those who are in need of our assistance (nevermind that we have our own lives to think of) oh yes siree!!! i love taking calls!!! i love my job!!!! i love all those crazy policies!!!! and why is that alcohol dispenser not working??? hello eperformax. hello happiness officer. oh yeah, the ip fiesta theme look is cool. pero di pa rin ako affected. im not in the fiesta mood. dami na calls!!! well, which is good. kasi accdg to mother barney, it assures oprs of security of tenure bcz of increased business. duh..... guys, let me tell u this, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SECURITY OF TENURE. What i mean here is that as long as u are good u can always market urself. sheesh. dami nga calls pero kung "allegedly sleeping" ka naman e may focus alert ka. Ive worked for a couple of call centers before and the 1st one i worked for was absolutely great.. the 2nd one was traumatizing to say the least... ok ba talaga dito? yep..... PayPal is a bit of email and voice, kaya *** applicants who got level 2 scores ang nilagay sa account na ito... good thing i got high scores!!! the compensation is quite competitive.... i think ill enjoy working for this account!

I was offered a QA analyst job for the paypal account pero i turned it down. Permanent night kasi eh :( tas 10% lang night diff and no hazard pay bukod sa MATA (meal and transpo allowance)

I have to be honest, I don't understand why people would hop from one account to another. I spoke to a few agents and they mentioned that they are looking for career and stability...
In my years of being an employee, there is one thing that I have learned - there is no such thing as stability. Companies go under the bridge from time to time, accounts come a accounts go...just like the people in it..this is also true in the call center industry...You will never find stability and career when you are on the floor..especially if you keep on jumping from one account to another. I think the right move is, get to transfered to a different department, get regularized and quit jumping. A rolling stone gathers no moss, ika nga.

if not for my colleagues, i wouldnt have stayed much longer. there are TOO MANY anomalies to even discuss it. malaking disappointment nung nagresign ako dyan. issue sa sweldo, issue sa management, sa policies, and most of all, intolerable supervisor.. incompetent and id have to say immature.
tapos ngayon may issue na naman sa backpay. hayy.. endless problems, buti nalang nakawala na ko dyan.

yup, there's no such thing as a perfect call center, or a perfect account. di mawawala ang mga problema (pulitika, mga sup na kup$, low and/or delayed sweldo, incompetent employees regardless of dept.) sa industry natin, although some have it worse than others. besides, it doesn't look good on someone's resume if they keep jumping from call center to call center without staying at least a year. i, personally, would've loved to stay a year, despite the endless problems with management, but it came to a point where getting the boot didn't really hurt me as much as i had expected.
hoping my next stopover in my "tour de france of call centers" (as one of my ip batchmates described it) would be better...and hoping i could stick it out for at least a year or two! :D

To paraphrase, the contract states that only Epmax and MCI admin, aside from you of course, are to be made aware of the scheds. Heck, even your family and friends aren't supposed to know your sched... which is silly, i know, because they can easily discern it anyway by just observing the time you leave and get back home but then again there are a lot of silly policies in that company... errrmm... i take that back, that statement could get me fired.

Jarael, simply go to their office at the 3rd floor of the BPI Buendia center, bring a resume and be ready for an initial interview, if you pass the I.I., they will schedule you for testing, etc.
I believe they do not have any openings for the Email support account, if you have excellent English Skills, you might want to inquire about the Inbount CSA account.

Business process outsourcing company vCustomer Corporation will acquire all the eight call centres of global telecom giant MCI, sources said on Friday.
The acquisition will bring to vCustomer the directory assistance service, operator service and relay service assets of the telecom company and provide it a presence in the US and Philippines.
MCI has seven call centres in US and one in Philippines. vCustomer has also signed a multi-year agreement with the telecom company to provide network management, directory and operator services, a statement said in New Delhi.
Post-acquisition, the number of employees at vCustomer will go up to 6,000 and give the company delivery centres in US and Philippines.
The call centres of MCI in the US have Spanish language capability too and this coupled with US presence will open a whole new market for vCustomer.

While vCustomer is not revealing the exact deal size, it had mentioned its intention to buy a company in the US for about $50m. Experts feel that the acquisition of MCI’s assets would be pegged at a similar figure. “We feel that this deal makes us the first offshore player to achieve a global scale. we have training allowance plus meal and transpo allowance.. and compared to what other companies offer during training, i could say that its quite competitive...
not to mention mukhang ok talaga ang package once you get hired esp if you perform well...

hmmm...looks like we have an opr, or oprs, or a combination of past and present oprs with a bent of anti-heroism in them. and as a result, we seem to be leaking out a bit of call content... (just a little bit, di naman yung lantarang call content tulad ng ginagawa ko dati...)
although i neither confirm nor deny my involvement in these mischievous activities, i'm sure these oprs have nothing in mind but to put a smile on their colleagues' faces, and not to irritate anybody or get anybody in trouble. after all, we must admit that it's a restrictive environment u guys have out there. there's little room to smile or to laugh, what with marshmallowmanwoman running the show, and all the prank calls and best friend calls u have to suffer through.
guys, let's keep the call content down and keep things light-hearted over at this thread. it's bad enough that there's little room to be light-hearted when you've got marshmallowmanwoman staring down at ur console...

mci's services sold their operator services to vcustomer. so most likely the accounts are staying. i think freeze hiring for the moment. wait till august when vcustomer officially takes over.

***this thread has been brought to the attention of management. yeah, we have to admit but we have been venting our frustrations here. sadly, these are frustrations towards people who run the company (and some crazy policies). do we owe them an apology? or is it just right that they (management) learn about our frustrations? oh yes, we do have an open door policy, but for crying out loud who would dare complain and risk losing his/her job? did we mess up eperformax's reputation as an employer of choice or did we just vented out our complaints against some people who made our life stressful? hey, u have to admit that the work we do is almost stress free. it is just the people ( and again some crazy policies) that make our otherwise blissful work difficult? we dont even have a suggestion box, yeah, we have hr but they are not even definite on some things at times. haaaaaaaay...... baka umulan ng focus alerts next week!!! attention focus_alert!!! this is your time to shine!!!***

o eto na...oras na para sa isa pang mahabang post...
(ahem...testing, testing...) pex is, and always was, a clear and present danger in the work place. several years ago, before my call center days, and when i was using a different (and more controversial) nick, our boss outlawed pex, had it blocked from every pc. however, mIRC was not deleted, neither were other chat programs considered more of a distraction to web design peeps like ourselves. he realized, even then, that pex could be a deadly medium when it comes to disgruntled employees venting. as if face-to-face water cooler venting wasn't bad enough, here comes a bulletin board where people can vent not only to each other, but vent to the whole wide world.
so the cat has jumped out of the bag, and has landed right on management's lap. suddenly the people up there can see the passion in how we vented in this thread...and the strong posts that came out of that. i wouldn't be surprised if management is busy trying to make 1 and 1 equal 2, and find out who's who in this thread. while a lot of these posts could've used a little less emotion and more positive scripting, i, personally, do not look back with remorse in what i've posted here, even if i was sometimes guilty of being too harsh in my words. (except the call content!)
this thread, mind you, never was not an exclusive thread for b|tching about what's amiss over at ip relay. we didn't start posting and staying here to complain ourselves silly about life in ip relay, we did so because we wanted to meet fellow oprs who happened to be pexers. and we became friends, not just here in pex, but also in real life. naturally, what do u expect of the thread we post in, it would become like a personals/small talk thread...puro chikahan, biruan, at minsan may kasamang tampo/sama ng loob/hinanakit sa sistema. it's all inevitable.

my take on this is:
anyone who lives in glass houses should not throw any stones. After all, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. In simple terms (baka di mo kasi maintindihan - yes you, i know you're reading this anyway), babalik sa iyo lahat ng ginagawa mo sa kapwa mo.
great leaders do not demand respect. they EARN it by respecting others as well. they earn it by possessing a SINCERE concern for the welfare of others, whether subordinate, peer, or superior. my only hope is that you learn from your mistakes, and start reading John Maxwell's books on leadership. Perhaps that should enlighten you.
You had good potential when you started out. I don't know where, and why, you made a turn for the worse, but you did, and you have to acknowledge that and move on.
Regarding the posts here, pansinin mo -- ang pinag uusapan lang dito are issues that affect operators, as well as people whom they feel have been less than HUMAN to them. May nakita ka ba ditong reference, whether direct or indirect, to other supervisors, managers, or directors of the company? WALA. Thats because they have been doing their job in accordance with how it SHOULD be done. Mahigpit din naman sila ah. however, they have genuine concern for the welfare of their people, and they know how to RESPECT, not malign, their people. yun na ngang pagdudahan mo ang mga operators mo pag nag sick leave sila, isang katarantaduhan na yun. it's extremely tasteless, unleader-like, CRASS! a sick leave is a sick leave, especially if it is an EARNED sick leave. to start sending tasteless, condescending messages to sick operators is definitely no way to treat your people. Those operators you have wronged deserve no less than your sincerest apology.
All is not lost. you still have the chance to prove yourself as a great leader. you had it within you, once upon a time. perhaps you should dig deep and try to find that place where you can begin trusting people, begin loving people, begin treating people as equals, and not just as pawns in your quest for greater glory.
After all, what doth it profit a man (or woman) if he gains the whole world, yet suffers the loss of his own soul?

I do agree, and he does make sense...quite an awakening too...reminding other applicants, whether for a call center or not, to READ before signing anything. It shouldn't appear as if we are at the mercy of other people.

mullah_omar: the 20% is for the IP relay program only. other programs may have a different incentive rate.
in the case of IP relay, its 10% for perfect attendance, 10% for perfect schedule compliance. and yes, it's all or nothing for each item.
