i applied for this call center as marketing associate.. i passed the exams and the interviews.. they told us that to excpect a call the following week. but they never did. lahat *** na sinabihan na nakapasa hindi pa nila kinontak.. *** ngayon nsa peoplesupport na ko..

yeah, my friend applied here as well. She passed the exam and the initial interview, but she never got the call for the final interview. Out of twenty applicants, they only hire three...or so they say....;)

Usually, if they're really interested with the applicant, they'll give you a call in a week's time. But, considering the upcoming holiday season, I suppose you should wait until the first week of January.

yup! EasyCall i2 b4. ePerformax absorbed it when the paging industry died down. We'll have more of inbound customer service accounts come 2004.

Nope, I don't think so. The company's currently hiring, actually.
I presume she's one of the newbies who were terminated for some reason. Since we're basically doing surverys, data integrity is a vital factor. Lots of newbies got kicked for being dishonest. Too bad for her. :~(

heard some things about this company:

1) The GM and the owner had a rift- GM resigns, owner takes over operations

2) Regularization increases have not yet been given to the pioneers (is this true)

3) There has been a management "rigodon"- so to speak

4) The HR-Wellness Manager has just recently resigned

5) Call Center Agents are employed here on a project (contractual) basis.

yup, some of those are true. as far as im concerned, the first one did happen, but that was along time ago.:)
the second one isn't true. we're about to get our increase this month though im not yet a regular employee:)
i can't comment on the 3rd one since im a dormant agent here who does nothing but take calls and log on pex:)
it's the hr manager who resigned, not the wellness.;) dunno the reason... sowee!
and last, we're not employed on a contractual basis. we actually have no bond here.:) u may leave anytime you want to...

if mci is just a sister company or not really under e-performax, then maybe it is better. for those that were not absorbed after their training or to those that were fired/terminated, its not because they did something bad to the company, its because,the company didn't get the project and didn't push through so they don't need any people. ipapakita nila na di mo na meet their standards but in fact, they don't have any project. di nga naman bababa ang tingin mo sa kanila di ba? no offense to you ahrjhey.

i also applied at eperformaxx last dec via jobstreet. imagine nagabsent pa ko *** pumunta sa interview, i passed the interview **** but i was really pissed off by the interviewer.. can anybody tell me the name of that skinny guy who has glasses na pandak naman? ang yabang e kala mo kung sino, super sacrcastic pa! di ba pag interview you should establish a raport between u and the interviewee? how come he talks like that!?! Super sarcastic and he butts in in the middle of my sentence? why cant he let me finish talking? Actually, im currently working in a callcenter as a CSR and I was applying for a higher position sana with eperformaxx but he was offering me the D.A. position for MCI, i said ok i'll accept. Then he told me to wait outside for the 2nd interview with the HR manager. but y'know what i did? I left! together with the one i just met there.. Sya **** galing pang Batangas imagine 4am gising na sya tas pagdating nung interview nya ganon ganon na ***? parang wlang respeto *** hinay*pak na yun! ano bang panagalan non at mapakulam ko nga! i applied at eperformax... i waited for almost 10 hours for i-dunno. i reached the final interview. they said i passed the exams and everything. the manager (or whoever he is) assured me that they would call within five days. hmm... just like what they do to the rest... keeping us hanging, i guess... =( i came back once, twice, and thrice... they said my application is active. hayy! i just hope these HRs would not assure us, if they are not sure that we really would get the job. You just break (willling and with potential) first-timers' hopes and trust. Some may even think of it as a way of Just be frank. Don't mislead. Don't say anything if you guys can't keep it.

ei, im back. i started the thread and kinda left it hanging. i've been utterly busy kasi. newei, the company's okay naman. pay is good. for starters, some get as much as 17k because they really give high bonuses. and we're not into selling, basically just a survey. i work for the experian account, not with mci so i've no idea what it's like working for that project. i heard they're really strict, though.
we get additional bonus for perfect attendance, quality calls, and for meeting the standards, which is definitely quite easy. we do handle local accounts such as wendys; those are for the easycall agents. sorry but im not familiar with our hr procedures so i really couldn't help those with complaints on that area.

hey, i was trained for experian. a-bay pa lang ako but i had a hard time adjusting to the work and the shift, and i had more than 2 absences already, so pinaalis na nila ako. binigyan ako ng chance pero i know i can't do it anymore, i got sick 2x already when i started and i ended up feeling more stressed out and feeling very bogged down.

ang perception ko kasi sa company is that they expect high performers there na never aabsent. ok sya sana because dun ka lang sa account na yun as long as it stays in the company, and you have a chance to be really good at what you do, unlike in other callcenters they always shuffle you whenever they need more agents in a program, tapos lipat ka ulit...wala kang chance para maging magaling talaga sa product.

as for the thread starter who said na walang bond...on the contrary, meron po syang bond, once you sign na the contract after passing product specific training. it's definitely less than the bond in etelecare where i came from.

speaking of bond, i was told to pay for it even if the reason i left was due to health reasons. tama ba naman nagkasakit ka na nga dahil di ka pa maka-adjust ang katawan mo dun sa work, sisingilin ka pa? buti if i were dimissed for another offense. oh well...appeal ko na lang sa hr nila at baka sakali pagbigyan ako.

after having tried two call centers, i want a day job or a job that doesn't deal with computers and hours of sitting down and talking to strangers from thousands of miles away...i'm more likey to be stressed in an office environment kasi eh, kaso nga lang parents ko super taas ng pantingin sa mga taga-callcenter...it's not as glamorous as they perceive it to be, even i tell them so.

i work for this call center ... yup, they're really really REALLY strict about attendance, specially if you're a newbie. pero bawi rin naman kahit papano when you're considered a probationary employee. you're entitled to paid sick leave and vacation leave -- probationary employee palang yun, ha. i guess you have to survive the first few weeks in abay first.

about the bond, i've heard a lot of people complain about it. the thing is, if you tender your resignation, you'll be required to pay for it. but if you get terminated, i don't think you need to. (i'm not too sure about this, though.) but of course, termination never looks good on your resume.

KuyaDanny, i think i have a very good idea who you are ... :D one project starts at about 10 am, and the other, though 24 hours, consists of only a handful of people. the floor gets jam-packed at about 9 pm, that's when the experian people start.

cosmic girl: don't think about it as not being able to "cut it". you can try again after 6 months, if you want. by then you'd have a good idea how the process goes and you'll probably pass. hehe!

hedonism: i can't tell you how much they offer, unfortunately. :D after the exams, you usually have 2 interviews more.

hedonism: that's great! :D good luck, hope to see you around soon. training-wise, they won't torture you, but it's best to know everything thoroughly. you never know kasi what they might ask you when you have an exam, so it's best to be ready.

adrianx_23: IP (internet protocol) relay allows the hearing impaired to communicate with anyone in the world
through an Internet connection. i'm not entirely sure if this is accurate, but as far as i know, typed messages are relayed as voice messages by the relay call operator, and vice-versa. This allows callers unable to use a regular telephone to be able to place telephone calls to people who use a regular telephone, and vice-versa. so you need to be able to type pretty fast to be able to keep up with the person speaking. :)

i'm a fresh graduate kaya mejo nde pa ako sanay sa paghahanap ng work. i applied in eperformax sa position na IP RELAY OPERATOR. kasi my typing speed is 65 wpm and 95% accuracy. actually nag-submit *** sa job fair sa glorietta ng resume sa knila last monday and they told us na pumunta *** sa eperformax ng wednesday. So me and my bf went there. biro o ang aga pa naming pumunta doon. kasi ang sabi nila before 9am kailangan andun an ***. E manggagaling pa *** ng biñan,laguna. so yun na nga, we waited for about an hour bago kami pinag-exam. somebody told me na mas mauuna ang initial interview bago ang exam so i told myself na ok na ako siguro dito. mukhang okay naman..after the exam, they told us to wait again ng mga 30 mins. para malaman kung pasado ba o hindi sa exam. Nakapasa *** ng bf ko so they told us again to go back at 2pm. biro mo in thirty min. kailangan makabalik *** agad eh hindi pa nga kami nagl-lunch?! ayun, eh di bumalik kami, and we waited for about an hour ulit before natawag un name nmin.mas nauna natawag un bf ko tpos mga 30 min pa bgo ako natawag. nagtaka ako kun bakit un bf ko (who's also applying sa same position) tsinek agad un typing speed nya?! eh ako interview agad.. so sabi ko ok lang medyo kaya ko pa naman kahit na medyo kinakabahan ako. eh di yun na,ininterview ako ng isang HR staff named AIZA. She asked me na am i applying as a DA? Sabi ko hnde, i'm applying for the position of IP relay , then she told me na if ever na nde ako matanggap sa IP relay, do i still consider the position of a DA sabi ko YES but my first priority is IP RELAY. eh di yun, ininterview nya ako ng about 15 minutes kung ano2 lang ang tinanong then pinag-bilang nya ako ng 1-40. After nun, she told me to wait outside so sabi ko siguro pag-tinawag ulit ako tsaka na ako pagt-typin. Aba! nde ako natanggap and ang nakasulat sa letter ang position na inaapplyan ko daw is yun DA! so nagsabi yung bf ko sa isang HR Staff na me kasama siya(ako yun ciempre) na medjo mabilis din sa typing. She said na ok mamamya tatawagin nila ako. eh wala na, binigyan na ako ng letter..

medyo sumama lang yung loob ko kasi nde yun yung position na inaapplyan ko.. yung bf ko nainterview sya ng Operations manager and nung isang americkano dun sa loob. hindi nya tuloy alam kung ano yung pagbabasehan talaga para matanggap siya. kasi sabi niya sa interview daw medyo tagilid cia kasi naunahan siya ng nerbyos kaya medyo nagb-buckle sya pagnag sasalita sya and medyo mayabang daw kasi yun manager and sa harapan mismo nya pinagtatawanan siya. but they asked him kung nasa kanila na daw ba yung contact number nya? sbi niya yes. pero walang sinabi kung kailan sya tatwagan. sa palagay nyo? tatawagan pa kaya siya? sorry kung medyo mahaba ha? kasi medyo na-depressed lang ako dahil nga i did my best sa interview yun pala ibang position ang ibinibigay sa akin eh nde ko naman alam ang qualifications nun? thanx in advance!

for IP relay, this is what i know...

1. proficiency in english
2. college grad
3. advanced typing skills (at least 65 wpm)

ok thanks a lot but i have another question.. mauuna baun exam bago nila i-test un speed sa typing o uunahin un pag test sa speed bago mag-exam. natatakot kasi ako dahil baka maya bumagsak ako sa exam.. tsaka halimbawa nga nde ka nakapasa sa Ip relay pwede ka ba ilipat ng ibang position like un sinasabi nila na DA? gusto ko sana kasi dito kasi ang babait ng tao lalo na un isang receptionist jan *** lang matandaan un name kasi pumunta nakmi ng friend ko jan kso dkmi umabot sa mga iinterviewhin kasi daw lampas na ng 2pm. thanks ha

I was reffered by my friend last tuesday, i pass the initial interview and then nung wednesday exam na. From 12, 3 lang kaming natira for written exam. Yung Writn exam yung badtrip kasi ang haba, like almost 2 hours. Nakapasa naman me. Then the next day Job offer na kagad. Pinahold ko muna kasi kakatapos kung lang ng skul last week (wala pa ko pahinga) tska dami ko pang ayusin. Sa 20th ako nagpa-sked for training.

Pero hindi ako sa DA eh... Dun sa isang account eh.

May nabasa ako about 13k to 16k... ndi ah... medyo a little lower but NOT THAT LOW kasi dami benefits eh so ok lang.

ang trianing allowance dito 500 pesos lang after 1 month pa makukuha. tapos pag pumasa ka may P1800 pesos na allowance ulit na after 1 month ulit makukuha. tapos meron silang OJT for 1 month ulit na hanggat di mo natatapos di ka swe-sweldo. tapos pag hindi mo to ipinasa eto sasabihin nila sa iyo terminated ka. pag hiningi mo syempre *** sahod mo for two months sasabihin nila sa iyo na kulang pa *** sweldo mo na yun sa $500 na bond mo sa training mo. in other words wala kang tatanggapin. this is the story of someone i know na may bad experience sa company na yan. so i advised that person never to apply new call centers who are still unstable. apply only to stable call centers na proven track record dito sa pinas.

hmmm... i don't know about that.. but i was told about the $500 bond.. i believe it's for the accent training (diet).. it's a 5-day training and you get an allowance of P100/day(MATA).. they'll give this a week after the training.. if you pass diet, they'll give you an additional of P1000 which you can claim after 2 weeks.. what i know is that for their other acct, there's gonna be a product specification training for a week.. so for the 2 weeks of training, you get a total of P3000 on the condition that you pass pst as well.. in my case, i passed diet but unfortunately, didn't pass pst.. fortunately, they still gave me the MATA + P1000 as promised.. after a few weeks,i re-applied at eperformax, as advised by my pst trainer, for their other acct.. and now, i'm scheduled for another week of diet and i believe, a month-long pst.. for the pst/ojt, i will be able to receive the basic salary + MATA.. i think they will still give you the salary that they owe you even if you get terminated.. like in my case, they didn't hold my allowance to compensate for the bond.. well, maybe i should ask them about that matter.. that has to be cleared up..

outbound ata kase yan. am speaking of the inbound team. hindi lahat ng call centers katulad nila. as i have told you go for the stable ones. call center in the US maybe stable there but not here.

ang daming conditions. the more stable call centers give salaries even agents are on training pa. bago lang yang call center na yan wala pa atang 6 mos. be careful baka mag fold up yan katulad ng mga smaller call centers date.

2 yrs? wala pa sa break even un. although, mci is stable they can pull out their account anytime if they are dissatisfied with the services of e-performax. remember they have their other services with bigger call centers like Sykes has most of their accounts and with People Support and they can transfer them anytime. what else do they have? i suggest you straighten your facts hip_mom... the info that you have about eperformax are all 2nd hand... the kind of stuff you get on local tv on weekend afternoons... satineblue16 and hedonism are quite satisfied with how they were treated...

clients have specific requirements... i think ip relay is a marquee project... that is why screening is quite tough...

it just means that you won't be taking/making calls... you just need to answer the questions about certain products thru email...

it's still a csr position. the difference is that instead of using the telephone to provide customer service, you use e-mail. instead of answering calls, you answer e-mails. :) they say it's actually quite nice, a refreshing change from phone-based csr work.

AFAIK, the requirements for this account are different because not only do you need to have excellent spoken english skills, you must have excellent written english skills as well (which you demonstrated in your previous post). :lol: i don't know if you could call it easier, but i notice that a lot of people prefer to be assigned to e-mail support accounts.

im starting with the first batch of e-mail support trainees on the 18th of october. they just gave me a partial job offer coz they are still haggling for approval of the rest of the bonuses and the whole compensation package itself. but this i can tell u, at this point, pay is very good... and looks like its gonna get even better.

the staff, the HR people, even the operations manager of the account i was assigned to.. they are really so nice and accommodating. in just 2 days of exam and interview, i already got a result... a job offer.

to those who are applying for a position with them, good luck, hope u guys make it!

frontline call center jobs in general are demanding... stressful at times... specially if you are selling stuff... but it all boils down to the individual's mind-set...
the accounts at eperformax don't do sales... but there are still numbers one needs to attain...
agents are motivated to be always at their best to reach the numbers... there are probably some who perceive this as pressure instead of encouragement...

Ok yung mga ibang call center na nagsasabi ng "wait for our call tomorrow 12pm, if u receive a call it means ur qualified, but if not, that means u didnt make it" atleast di ba alam mo kung di ka tinawag? kaysa naman sinabi sa akin na " u passed, expect a call from the company" syempre for me, excited ako, sa hirap maghanap ng work ngayong mga panahon na ito.. masakit sa part ng applicant din yun.Kung hindi pumasa yung applicant sabihin nila na hindi sila pumasa, than telling them na pumasa sila tas ndi naman ***. Customer Service pa naman ang service.. im not saying sa Eper lang ito.. kahit sa ibang cc's. Ive experienced some myself!Sa Eperformax, I didnt pass, so infairness, sinabi naman nila, kasi di pa daw ako graduate.

ip relay operators take calls... they facilitate the communication between an able person and someone who has hearing impairment... they type the words dictated by the able person so that the impaired person can read them... then he reads the impaired person's response...

Is it stressful? I'm still in training so I don't know for sure. But if we go by SweetCyanide's description, i don't think it's stressful at all. It is for this particular reason I decided to take the plunge and work for a call center.

As you may have concluded by now, there is no particular product to study.

24/7? I'm not sure but right now, I don't think it is, but I was told by the HR person that it should be 24/7 in the future.

Dress code? SweetCyanide says (from some 12 posts above) that it's business casual from Mon. to Thurs (no jeans), and casual on Fridays (jeans and rubber shoes included). I'm still in training so I don't know for sure. What I can tell you is that this is the same dress code they are enforcing to us now (training).

In my case, the DIET training is from 1PM to 9:30 PM. Then our instructors moved it to 12 Noon to 8:30 PM. I'm not sure if this is always the case though.

It's Monday to Friday so the weekend is your days off.

But after DIET, which is only two weeks, the Product Specific Training (PST) is done on the night shift because it's like an on-the-job training already. and as such, your days off are not necessarily weekends.

Where do you work ba? Are you from a call center? Why not try submitting your resume? You have nothing to lose. So far, my experience with this company has been really great. :)

Yes, go for the IP Relay Operator position. Less stress, it may even border on the boring to some. But for me, at least I don't get any irate callers like usual call center agents do. And you'll get better pay too!

You'll basically need to have good oral and written English. I believe you're from a call center so this won't be a problem. You'll also need to be a fast typist.

I hope to see you there too. BUT right now, I'm not quite in yet as I'm still on DIET (training). Tomorrow (Oct 22) is our judgment day. I hope our whole batch make it through. We're all so nervous.

ip relay isn't toxic...compared to customer service. in fact, ang bilis nga ng oras pag nasa ip relay...calls are usually 10 minutes upwards and you usually don't have to worry about irate callers...unless sablay yung explanation mo ng relay o ayaw makinig ang caller, yan tuloy akala nila sales/telemarketing call yung relay...

yep. ok ang pay ng ip relay operators. salary ranges from 20-23k. i've had ip relayed calls before and expect your AHT to shoot up kasi matagal yan. what an ip relay operator does is translate or relay what a speech/hearing impaired customer tells you through chat. example, a deaf mute customer wants to contact a bank. if the customer does not have a TDD (telecommunications device for the deaf - parang text pad sa phone), he can contact an ip relay operator to contact the bank. parang nakikipag-chat sya tapos sasabihin nya sa IPRO kung anong gusto nyang sabihin sa bank rep. the IPRO in return will have to type in "as is" kung ano yung sasabihin ng bank rep and relay it to the customer. so kelangan talaga mabilis kang mag-type if you wish to be an IPRO. syempre pa you have to have good listening skills.

i have a friend who works at ePerformax and sabi nya although the job is easy, nakakalito yung system coz there are a lot of commands to memorize. yun lang ang alam ko.

i cant' answer kung mdali ang hiring process but this is how the process goes.....


come in early with your resume

you will be scheduled for initial interview immediately

if you pass the interview, you will take the written exams

if you pass the written exams, you will be scheduled for a one-on-one verbal test

if you pass the verbal test, you will be scheduled for the final interview and job offer

you can actually finish the entire process in one day, provided you come in early.

should you accept the job offer, you will start training the next monday.

e kasi sabi sakin nung final interviewer na yung contract nga e after DIET, e papano yun kung lower yung nakalagay dun as promised? well hindi naman siguro noh.:)
