redblood and all the west pexers - grabe today yung calls ko.. naka ilang sup calls ako.. then all the sup calls are averaging 45 mins up per call.. grabe.. nakakaasar.. parang malas ko today.. i hope magbago na sana..

one of the calls sabi nakakaconnect siya then after few seconds or minutes nadidisconnect siya..

then one call may TA siya tapos right after mag update siya nag loko yung kanyang Ta.. hindi na gumagana yung toolbar ng earthlink connected.. hindi na rin gumagana ang email and browser.. ang ginawa ko i told her to na uncheck the proxy setting pero ayaw niyang gawin kasi palagi raw nagkakacheck mark yung proxy setting.. talagang pahamak yang TA,,,, sana manual DUN na lang.. wala pang problema...

then one call naman pagka answer ko ng call, she wanted to talk to a sup, i asked her why.. she told me that she was talking to a CA agent then she doesnt know why she was transferred to TS DU.
She told me that she has 2 accounts na binibill siya eh isa lang naman yun.. kaya SUP CALL (mga 1oras and 25 mins yun) may kinuha yung sup ca 2 ca agents sa area para lang mapakausap yun.. hindi tinrasfer kung di tinawag niya mismo para sa station ko..

i hope naman maka-okay na ang calls ko dis coming shift...

i think they're trying to be like AOL, where AOL has its own browser and all that. but the service just isnt the same. AOL has its own browser, and when you get online, everything is at your fingertips, msot are just a click or two away. problem is if you get used to AOL, chances are, you'll never know your way around an ordinary browser, even your own computer.

AOL kasi, bine-baby ka. once you've stopped, bobo ka na :p

with EL TA, it doenst have a chance to "baby" you (which it doenst btw) because it doesnt even start in the first place.

TA 2005 has a lot of bugs... may mga calldrivers pa mga sups na pinapagawa sa mga techs para makakuha sila ng mga info 'bout the bugs then they'll submit it to elk... guinea pigs ang mga customers, ang mga agents naman ang nasisigawan.. :(... TA uses IE for its browser right?

its not juz the cx who are guinea pigs...pati agents....besides this does not happen to Elk ppl alone halos lahat ng ISP, PC, etc companies na may bagong product....ur not juz a TS agent quality control ka din! hehehe!

The good thing with Mac users is that they
are not fond of installing TA on their system. So no problems with us, also mac os is very stable, tatawag lang sila pag talagang sira. Mostly ang sira eh bad password, outage and decommisioned pop nos. Teching is simple and straight forward di tulad sa windows, buggy ang os mga siraulo pa ang users. :) i dread the day that i will be transferred to the windows que, sana shift ko mamaya BB ako,

The problem is this: once Earthlink get familiarized with TA and once the TA engineers are able to to fix the bugs on TAx.x, they add more headache by trying to develop another TAx.x that will cause more headache for everybody.

Just take TA2004 for example. Kung kailan na-solve na yung bugs sa TA2004, saka naman sila naglabas ng TA2005 na mas maraming bugs. I'm sure dadating yung panahon na konti na lang ang bugs sa TA2005, saka naman sila maglalabas ng TA2006....na wala namang masyadong pinagbago sa previous versions.

Hindi naman kailangan taon-taon mag-update ng TA. TA2005 doesn't have much any difference to TA2003 unlike nung first na-release yung Total Access na sobra namang iba sa Earthlink 5.0

jonbprofeta, yes they are hiring CS, like crazy last i heard. there are more training classes for CS than there are for TS, so you can imagine how much demand is needed for the CS jobs (plus there's that additional floor that rumoured to be underway, dunno though which dept is supposed to occupy that. btw, you didnt happen to have worked for/ at Contact World roughly 2 years ago have you? and do you happen to have an Acctg / Math degree? i thought your name looks familiar (if you nick is your real name i mean)

hey i got a question fo the West folks, is Mac BB harder than Win DU? i'm thinking about joinign the next wave of trainees, but there was a sticky issue about UTTs for BB they said....

Mac BB is easier coz we dont get too many calls compared to Win DU...hmmmm UTT? its juz bunch of questions anyway...most of them about where the NID is and the like....but one thing i dont like about BB are 2wire routers! they tend to come in on each of my bad days!

im not sure about this one... TS reps have technical interview...
dont have any idea about CS process of hiring.

and i think TS training lasts for two weeks and CS 1 1/2..

nah. i think this person is from clientlogic, tried to get in convergys and west and never made it. at least that's what i gather from the bitter and depraved posts. i think he / she or it is stuck there and cannot find anohter job elsewhere.

Question lang: how do they keep attendance records? I checked Spectrum yesterday and grabe, may isa akong absent! At No Call/No Show pa! At kung hindi pa bubuksan ng friend ko (na nasa tabi ko) yung Spectrum nya ay di kopa maiisip na pagtripan na buksan ito. At kung magkataon eh siguradong nakalagpas na yun... shocks. Wala pa ako kahit isang absent o late. :(

Kikkomanwas there ever a time that you missed going to the podium before your shift? i think that's how they keep track of it. i forgot to go to the podium during the first few days of my shift and i was marked absent, yet, i have avaya time stamps and break sched records showing them i was at work.

i know, stnkin system doesnt work. we should just use Kronos. that's what i was using when i was working in the US and i never had any glitches with my attendance (and thus my pay).

btw, hirashi, might i tell you that your behavior in this thread is swerving dangerously close to trolling, and if that has no meaning for you, perhaps being banned might?

i am a moderator of another site, and if you were behaving thusly in my forum, i would've had you on time out for a week.

so the only thing i can complain about here at West is the temperature inside the office especially in the breakroom... gravbe! instead na makapagrelax ka dun para kang nasa freezer pero one time naman, walang aircon kaya u'd rather stay out of it kasi mainit

this friday (Aug.20) i'll be having my 2nd interview at West Contact Services and that will be at 7:30 am. i've taken the exams and fortunately, i had made it. and so, with the 1st interview. paki-confirm naman guyz, if that will be my last interview?

i've applied for CSR and i'm also interested for TSR position. however, hindi pa ganung kalawak ang background ko sa PC troubleshooting although, may alam naman ako sa basic PC troubleshooting. just in case, ba na ma-hired ako as CSR, most probable ba sa billing inquiries ba ako malalagay?

i need further info. guyz, kasi i'm resigning na this week from one of the call centers na malapit-lapit dyan sa bldg. nyo.

Ewan ko, pero kasi sa akin eh biiig craaap pa rin sa akin ang payroll (di naman ako humihingi ng extra e... hinihingi ko lang eh yung dapat at naaayon sa akin). Ah basta...

Yung sa queue, walang araw na pinipili yan. Laging marami. Sa oras lang nagkakatalo. 12 A.M. - 10 P.M. Manila time medyo idle, pero tapos nito eh pukpukan na. Depede rin ang queue sa number of agents available (kaya pag saturday and sunday, patayan kasi daming off or umaabsent). Madali namang kausap ang mga clients pero syempre, di mo maiiwasang makakuha ng irate. Di lang basta irate, pero yung tipong galit na galit na galit kasi bini-bill sya tapos di sya nakakapagnet for 2-3 months.:D

well tama po ito and besides mas malaki ang pay sa Information Technology... ako around 25-30k suweldo ko as an Creative Director sa 25*8.... pero ang hirap ng trabaho.. almost 20 websites a week ang inaasikaso ko.... not including pa ang game development project namin....

Time and again they have hired new PTL's and PAS's and again it was expected to end like that. Politics here are so evident, why do I say this because I just learned that they have promoted someone from a late batch to be a PTL and lead pips that are far more experienced adding to this more senior to them in terms of tenure. Forgive me if im wrong but majority of PTL's here are not as qualified as what to job is requiring them to be. PALAKASANG WLANG KATAPUSAN, pls. stop this tapos na ang Olympics eh palakasan pa rin ng palakasan.

Too much politicking (spell check) is really part of an organization, be it profit or non-profit. Politicking is everywhere and that's the main reason why our ailing economy is getting worse.It's really evident in West and my colleagues will attest to that. Most of the PTLs and PAS have inadequate call center experience, management and interpersonal skills. They were qualified by just a freakin' stupid standard for promotion - PERFECT ATTENDANCE! Mind you, even a fresh grad with no call center skills at all could be a PTL/PAS. Its bullsh1t! :mad:

Lloyd50 I wish i can go with what you are telling us but I cant really find it that way. Marami akong kilala na Sup na talagang wlang sinabi compared to other agents na kasabay nyang nagapply. Believe me and majority of the agents can attest to that, Que horror pa ang isang Sup natin na mas irate pa sa cx. I also know a trainer that doesnt even have the quality to be one. Im not bitter but as you know that we are always seeking the best environment that we can find, Kaya nga nandto tayo eh (excuse po sa mga first timer call center pips). Adding to this is a scandal that would basically can shatter the morale and name of this budding company. If you want to know more look for me I would be much willing to squeal the truth!!!!!

Hope people would not get me wrong but that is just for the betterment of everybody, The truth should be out!

west contact services is one of the newer call centers in the metro. they service earthlink, and they have tech support and customer service. they had their 'soft opening' last january, but was formally inaugurated last august. internal promotion ang gimmick nila, and with the pioneer batches, it's easy to be promoted.

my sister was promoted as a sup recently, and to think na wala pa syang 6 months doon.

Eto lang ang masasabi ko... AFAIK maybe a few weeks, may opening na naman. Yung mga na second interview... yung ang i-prioritize nila. i know that. none of them are WEST CORP.

West Corp started back in the '80s before call centers become popular. its based on the company's success that the whole industry grew to what it is today. i'm not saying its the only company who built the industry, but it certainly is one of the trailblazers.

that being so, i was hoping that the culture that made the company the leader that it is today will be implemented here too. alas for me :(

btw, not to demean the other companies on your list (i know i came from one of them), but they are "never heard of" in the US. yes they are legit companies there, but more middle-sized businesses. West Corp is the big cat compared to those kittens. there's been an eternal debate on who is larger: Convergys or West. one thing i can say about that is that i've never heard of Convergys when i'm in the US. Accenture yes, Metro One certainly, the rest of the "call centers" i know are all "in house" meaning the companies themselves house their own Support Centers (like Apple Computers, AAA, etc...)
