A few weeks ago, I was contemplating on jumping ship from PeopleSupport to West. Good thing I made the right decision to stick it out with PS. From the things that I've read here, the environment and management is much, much, much better here in PS. Ramp up na naman ang EL account dito.

Me i love this company and i love my salary. Also compare to my other job (which is not a call center) i find my job here the easiest.
That's why i will do my best to improve the quality sa company na ito. Also i also want to be a supervisor, to improve my status in life. So right now i'm researching ways on how to become one, i already compiled the some of the test proven formula on how to become supervisor. So dudes and duddettes of pex i will share some of them to you, para sa mga nagbabalak na maging pac or sup.

1. Be dumb, be very very dumb. Don't improve yourself, do not research or study some of the cases that you can not tech. **** you don't need to resolve anything, look at the present supervisors, just raise your voice, escalate, transfer and as one sup here always do: release them!!

2. Learn big words. Like Mam you look good today or sir can i suck your ****! wahahahahahaha

3. Don't improve your communication skills. **** you don't need it. Any way you will not be taking in calls anymore, just look at one of the sup, "Ok mam on what peyds are u in right now" whahahahahah

4. Learn the intricate art of taguan pung or pretend your busy game. Para pag hinahanap ka sa supcall, magaling kang magtago sa pantry or sa 8th floor kasi nga Off mo kunyari, or whenever a very good tech agent is approaching the podium look very very busy, kasi nga you already know that this agent is good tapos mag susupcall eh di lalo mo ng di matetech yun. kaya learn the art of air typing. Right now i can air type approximately 1000 invisible words a minute. Whahahahaha

5. Go to every team building, gimik or basketball game ng mga sup. So they will know you, also you can offer to take them home when they are so drunk! Kainin mo na rin ang mga suka nila.


Yun lang po sa ngayon 5 lang muna. Bye for now, and to my batchmates you all know how techie we are, ok lang na bypass tayo, our time will come. Right now tiis muna, hanggang magbukas ang isang tech company again. Wahahahahahahaha

actually, she blongs to the pioneering batch in West. then, in a span of 3 months, she was promoted as an accent trainor/perfromance assessment coordinator (PAS), kumbaga QA specialist sya. she used to worked with PBL a few years ago then an events coordinator. she's a graduate from Letran.

one thing that i observed was, hindi niya kasi gamay ang product training.

ok naman sa PS, kung mga tao rin lang ang pag-uusapan. pero shempre, di rin naman maiiwasan na may ma-encounter ka na badtrip or *******, pero sobrang dalang yun. pwede mo nga ireklamo ang sup halimbawa, sa HR, without fear of repraisal kse patas ang HR dito(and im proud of that!).

baka yang sinasabi mong officemate na galing ng PS, may iba pang rason kung bakit sha umalis. pero kung ang rason lang nya eh office BS, i really doubt it. di naman sa pinagtatanggol ko ang PS, cuz also have my share of complaints din naman, pero overall, i could still say that PS still has the best work environment and people to work with, compared sa ibang call center.

sensha na, mejo napahaba....pero isa na lang...do you know na may vetrep kame dito na lumipat ng west at isa pang company, pero ngayon, bumalik sa PS?

PS yaw ko kayo na lang lumipat don.l San ka makikita na tech na support ka, tapos may split skill ka ng sales and then customer service. Di pa yan ang masama kung sakaling avail kayo ay put tounge in a mole! naman pagagawin ka ng email support.

nyak wag na lang, dito na lang ako sa west. Malaki ang opportunity mong umunlad dito ka lang makakakita ng first job, newly graduate from a university somewhere in the visayas, have a visayan accent and was only working for a month taking calls na naging supervisor! Dito lang.

Well all i know about the stats that your talking about is that its ********. I know a lot of PTL's/PAS's who got promoted with ****** stats. Karamihan pa nga sa kanila alang ginawa kundi magtanong sa chat dahil wala talaga sila nung tinatawag na technical capabilities. And about the Sup call's I see a lot of SUP who can't even manage the call and always rely on what the people from the US (CHAT elk_ts) says... LOL

That's just one of the requirements para ka ma-qualify. Di lang naman yan titingnan sayo. Pati ang stats / performance mo ay titingnan din. Saka kung pano mo na handle ang mga questions sa interview.

Yung mga hindi pumasa, I suggest that you talk to your sup/pas kung bakit ganun ang result at anong dahilan bat di kayo napili para sa susunod alam nyo na gagawin nyo. ;)

Eto lang ang masasabi ko... AFAIK maybe a few weeks, may opening na naman. Yung mga na second interview... yung ang i-prioritize nila. Pero syempre dapat apply lang kayo ng apply... wala naman masama sa pag try. May alam nga ako 4 times na nag apply for a position bago napili. Huwag lang kayo mawalan ng loob dahil sa ganun. Just take it as a challege saka don't give up that easily. Hindi naman siguro kayo papatalo sa ganun lang di ba? ;) :cool: :yum:

Malas sobra noong mga nafile na ng VL at SL. Alam nyo kung bakit?! HINDI SILA BABAYARAN NG WEST. Bakit kamo?! Kasi ang VL at SL pala, hindi yan yung tipong regular na VL and SL na pag naregular ka eh entitled ka agad sa isang set ng VL and SL (say 5-10 days). Poocha, dito sa atin, YOU STILL HAVE TO EARN IT! What do I mean? For EXAMPLE, sa isang pay period, may 3 hours ka na agad na "credit" for your VL or SL. The Slogan for West Contact Services, Inc. reads as: "Putting People First". However, it seems more like Putting Our Pockets First.

My experience with West Contact Services Inc has been, for a lack of stronger word, appalling. Never in my years of experience as a call center agent have I had to endure such insult. Any self-respecting business anagement has the
primary objective of protecting not only their profits, but their employee's interests as well. Unfortunately, the sole interest of the management in this case is to secure their positions.

According to the West Policy Manual (Philippines, revised April, 2004),on page 16 under the section of Leave of Absence, it states, the Company will comply with all Philippine laws in making decisions to grant employees Leave of Absence.This is also stated in the employees list of benefits upon regularization, i.e.
10 days of vacation leave upon 1-4 years of continuous employment and an additional 6 days of sick leave. The Labor Code of the Philippines does indicate that at least 5 days of paid leave will be granted to an employee upon regularization.
So it is wholly acceptable if the leaves were prorated or accrued. What is unacceptable is that West has chosen to disregard their Policy. Upon seeing that the employees have decided to use their privileges, West decided to suspend approval of such. Furthermore, West decided that leaves submitted after October 14, 2004, shall be deemed unpayable. They demand that the employees, especially the agents earn their leaves. This time, West has radically changed their methodology and demands
nine (9) hours to be able to justify an 8-hour leave. I believe since I was regularized, it means I've already earned my leaves. West HR claims that some companies don't even offer leaves until one (1) year of employment. I beg to differ. My previous
company awarded me prorated leaves, 12 days of vacation leaves and 6 days of sick leaves immediately after regularization and did not matter whether I used them all
up at once or not.

Another matter of concern is our remuneration. Upon hiring, I was informed that I will be on a monthly basis; only to learn after regularization that we are being remunerated on an hourly basis. The constant payroll discrepancies were due
to Wesy' inefficiency; technical problems, i.e. ADE crashes, are not the agents' responsibility and should not therefore reflect on his/her pay. Even though these were eventually resolved, discrepancies still abound. On an employee's offered
rate of, e.g. PhP 12000, only about PhP 9000 will make it to the employee's wallet.It still remains unexplainable as to why it is so.

The bottom line is: if I want to get paid on an hourly basis and be treated like an ordinary laborer, I would have offered my services to a constructioncompany. West does not have the luxury of making excuses. Mistakes are easily distinguished
from negligence. Some in the Management are commendable on their professionalism;a notable few even stood up and held themselves true to their word. The rest have been easily swayed, unconcerned of their subordinate's welfare. West General Manager Beth Carabuena asked for a second chance. This would have been very possible if not for West HR Director Maria Victoria Vergel-Roldan's response to the situation.To quote, "If you find this Company not worthy of your efforts, be true to yourselves,
and to the Company. Find a big call center somewhere else. I will not tolerate this bull*****!This would be so easy. Ms Roldan does not realize, however, that the big call centers abound. Some may even be better than West Contact Services, Inc. The only reason
holding us, or at least me, back from mass resignation is the fact that I helped start this Company. I wanted to see this company flourish and even establish my career on it. If not for our efforts, then West will not exist. West Contact Services Inc owes
us its existence. But they don'y think so. That's why I believe West is bulok.Bulok means rotten in Filipino.

I implore the recipients of this email to forward this to anyone they can. Let the public know that it is not worth the effort to work for such a Company. I also dare West Contact Services Inc to stop this email. Thank you.

4. Learn the intricate art of taguan pung or pretend your busy game. Para pag hinahanap ka sa supcall, magaling kang magtago sa pantry or sa 8th floor kasi nga Off mo kunyari, or whenever a very good tech agent is approaching the podium look very very busy, kasi nga you already know that this agent is good tapos mag susupcall eh di lalo mo ng di matetech yun. kaya learn the art of air typing. Right now i can air type approximately 1000 invisible words a minute. Whahahahaha

5. Go to every team building, gimik or basketball game ng mga sup. So they will know you, also you can offer to take them home when they are so drunk! Kainin mo na rin ang mga suka nila.
