hello Dakshman and daksh fanatics! I have somthing to share with you that will make you come to Daksh. Ofcourse i know that telecom account of Daksh....I just researched through internet. That account was able to pay 50k in one month - commissions alone to an agent of another call center! ITS AN INBOUND CUSTOMER SERVICE ACCOUNT WITH CROSS-SELLING AND UP-SELLING WORK! I also trained for that telecom account. I HAVE FINISHED MY HR INTERVIEW WITH DAKSH. and on the verge of going insane because of waitng. I LOVE THAT TELECOM ACCOUNT BUT DO NOT LIKE THE COMPANY WHERE I CAME FROM. I hope Daksh HIRES ME!

Jan 24, 2005, 12:22 PM
I think that account will also give commissions for DAKSH CSRs. I have been doing inbound sales for years and I am dreaming of taking home 70K a month with Daksh! Another thing....that account pays out very well for GIVING EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.... A performance bonus incentive if you get a perfect score on an independent Customer satisfaction survey.
In short that account will pay us for:
basic pay
night diff.
allowances abd basic benefits
PERFORMANCE BONUS for quality customer support
INBOUND SALES commission[no quota....yes no quota]
I hope my sacrifice of leaving will pay-off.
OK BA DAKSHMAN?!

Anyway, where did you get that information? The nature of the account is correct (Telecoms - Customer Service with up & cross selling) but as for the actual amount (especially the commissions) and other details that I cannot confirm.
Have a nice day to all! :)

Did I get it right....for telecom account:
The waiting period for us who were interviewed in the HR1 phase[after phone written and oral tests] is until the first week of February 2005?
If we don't make it to batch 1 this February we may be considered for batch 2 for April unless we get an e-mail notification from Daksh that we have to re-apply after 3 months?
The hiring process is 5-stages or 5-days of going to Daksh: initial phone interview, written exam, oral exam through phone, Human resource interview, panel interview/final interview and lastly the contract signing?
For those who signed their contracts. You will enjoy the windows based training system of that account. Its not as good as using google search engine but better than the system I used in another center. Please sharpen your note-taking skills[to make up for the search engine's occasional poor search result] since that is one of the reasons why up to 33 percent of one class fails in the training before the phone laboratory. Always report any difficulty in using that search engine so as to give feedback to IBM[maker of that system] since it is being continually improved. Finally, ASK QUESTIONS LIKE AN NBI INVESTIGATOR from your trainer to make sure you understand your lessons. That account is 24/7 btw. Those who fail in that account don't know or are lazy to take notes!
The rewards[sales incentives] of that account will outweigh your brain-bashing in the training!
Allen Ilino
Jan 26, 2005, 07:39 PM
Another reason why people fail in the tests/assessments in that account is that they are too shy to ask questions and just rely on guess work in the assessments instead of learning to navigate the search engine.
Assessments/tests in that account were primarily made to make the agent familiar in navigating that corporate data network search engine. In essence, it is open notes. You just need to know the quirks of that system so as to learn to punch the right KEYWORD[s] in the search engine since it does not work as good as google search engine.

Hello!!!
I passed the written exam I took last Tuesday. Then I was interviewed over the phone last Wednesday. Im going to have my oral exam/assessment tonight. Give me some tips naman how to pass the oral exam. :)
Question:Is oral exam/assessment same as HR interview or they're different? If you pass the oral exam, the next one will be the final interview then job offer/contract signing? :D
Allen Ilino
Jan 28, 2005, 01:46 PM
Oral exam is a test of spontaniety and how deeps is your facility with the English vocabulary. It is also a reading comprehension and memory test. Those are my hints without compromising the exams integrity. I hope that helps.

Allen Ilino

After the oral exam which measures how deep is your spontaneous English speaking skills, there is this one on one interview. I got up to that point five weeks after my oral exam.

Just remember if you fail, you can re-apply. I would not be surprised if that account will eventually have 1000 agents for Daksh. That is the nature of telecom accounts.

To Daksh HR people:
I took my initial phone interview on the 4th. week of October 2004, my written exams last Nov.15, and my HR interview last Dec. 28. Does this mean I can now re-apply for the SCCS or CCS position since it has been three months from the initial step of my application[phone interview]?
I suggest HR send e-mails to those who will not make it for batch 1 so that they can "move on" or re-apply again.
When will batch one start its 1st. training class. How about batch 2 for telecom account.
I hope you will have an-email support account with inbound selling for this telecom client. Clients are more vulnerable to a sales pitch after an eloquently written e-mail for a customer support complaint[based on my personal experience].
Allen Ilino
Jan 29, 2005, 11:38 AM
Another thing I wish to ask....
What if I worked in inbound sales for more than one year but not in a call center environment with headset but just with plain telephones in a financial company taking in sales orders doing customer support but also doing fieldwork for the clients in the afternoon, is this considered as eligible for the SCCS position?

Allen Ilino
Jan 29, 2005, 12:10 PM
My suggestion for your HR Mr. Dakshman:
In my encounters with other call centers' HR, some of them would even clarify to me If I will be given commission for sales incentives/commission for being in inbound sales. This is relevant since some call centers do not pay commission to agents for doing inbound sales and this creates resentment specially to seasoned and dedicated agents. This is also a sign that the applicant has an inquisitive and probing mind that fits the job.
I hope the CEO and COO of Daksh Philippines reads this call center forum regularly so as to gain an insight into what creates resentment for us agents.
Some people are choosy in their jobs because we don't want to jump from one company to another and want to retire in the company, that is why we research the internet about the account and contact center and even examine thoroughly the fine print in our contracts so as not to create more inconvenience for the company later in our stay.
Allen Ilino
Jan 29, 2005, 12:16 PM
As an example one call center does not give commission for agents who do a sale for Dell Computers while in another contact center firm they give commissions to the point that one agent even commented that..."yayaman ka!".

Ako mahilig sa telecom accounts 24 hours kasi at may inbound selling involved.
Remember what Dakshman said, batch 1 has very stringent hiring standards. Just wait for three months to lapse and re-apply! Ako pwede na apply uli ehehehee. mahirap batch one, you have no earlier batches to rely on when your stumped for answers which does happen.

Mr Dakshman I sent you a PM on my trip to PBCOM TOWER today.
One thing more I noticed that so many people are so clueless that Daksh is controlled by IBM as if they don't know what "the word "subsidiary" means. Just look at the IBM business services thread.
Remember that telecom account will expand by leaps and bounds and that other centers servicing that account will eventually be cutting down on staff. Kaya ako pupunta sa Daksh heheheheeh. IBM was able to box them out so to speak. They sold their PC business to Lenovo and took over Daksh so as to have a foothold on the profitable BPO industry.

TO HR of DAKSH.
I applied last year around July. I know that you we're just establishing the company. Anyway I went to the whole process until the final interview. I waited for the result until October. I got a job, by the end of OCT.At another company. I forgot the one who called me from your office. Last, December around 2nd to 3rd week. I was offered email support for the job at your company. But I decline due to that I wanted to honor my current contract of employment.
I was not satisfied by the answer of the person, who called me. My question was.... What if I decided to transfer to DAKSH? Would I still go to the whole process again, When in fact I already passed and was offered the email support? That is if I want to transfer because I am still interested in working for your company.
PLEASE someone from the HR of Daksh reply at my Email Address: Venus_Vytes@hotmail.com. My name is Christine Anne Mendoza.
I just stumbled at this web...that's why I am logged under the name of a friend.
Thank you for your immediate response!

hi The_Seeker!
May I know the date you applied here at Daksh and the name of the person who conducted your oral assessment?? ...and your name, of course, so we can follow up your application status. If you applied last week and did not receive any call from us, you might not have qualified for the position OR you may be considered for wave 2. We have already started training for wave 1 however there are still slots to be filled so don't worry coz there might still be a chance of getting in batch 1!
If you have other questions regarding your application status you may wanna call our trnkline which is 8406000, my local is 8111.

Hello daksh HR people! First of all, I would like to commend you people for streamlining your recruitment process. I would also like to say that the written test now are more related with the telecom account.
I got a final interview a day after my written exams!
What I need to know is how soon can I get a call for a job offer if I got a final interview today? At the latest, up to when should I wait? I need this so as to plan for my job hunting if I do not pass. I gave priority to applying with Daksh telecom account with inbound sales instead of other BPOs!
A suggestion for your HR: I think an e-mail will be nice to confirm if an applicant passed or failed and when can the person re-apply. Some applicants may re-apply due to the strong interest in a certain campaign or account.
Daksh I think will be a future powerhouse in the local BPO industry. As the Borg race in Star Trek used to say: "Resistance is futile!" ...I should say: Resisting the "Big Blue" is futile!
I understand that recruitment now is for wave 2 which is tentatively slated to start in the last week of March.
God Bless!

Do applicants who had their final interviews during the first 2 weeks this February have only until the end of the month to hope for any job offer?
Or is there any chance that they may be contacted for a job offer until the third week of March for wave 2?

Salamat Dakshman for the timely response. If I happen not to have a family business I would have lost patience due to the gap of hiring between batch 1 and 2. Anyway, it is understandable why there is such a gap. It's difficult to hire competent trainers for that telecom account; further exacerbated by the sometimes onerous non-compete clauses which applicants sign in their employment contracts, thus preventing them to transfer to accounts that do not compromise the interest of their previous campaign.
For you people out there who want to apply in this telecoms account, here are some words you would like to hear. In the United states, that account is well known for giving decent commissions for stuff that their CSR's cross-sell or upsell. I asked about that when I was interviewed at Daksh and yes, Daksh will pay-out commissions. Would not be surpised if there would be incentives given individually for giving above average customer service. Yes, a decent base pay and allowance with commissions to boot. Since it is a soft selling account, there is no quota for the selling since it would give the company a bad image if agents are "forced" to sell using unethical means like "slamming" - as it is called in contact center parlance. Another thing you don't have to lie to the caller that you are calling from the United States as what happens in some outbound accounts.
This is how far what I can tell you about that account without compromising any confidentiality arrangement.

Astig rin pala ang Daksh walang employment bond kasi. As I said earlier, mahirap lang talagang mag-hire ng competent staff dahil sa non-compete clauses na pinirmahan ng ibang applicants with their other call centers.
The reception area of Daksh on the 32nd. floor reminds me of Etelecare's reception area in Libis. It seems to be a bit smaller though

Nabanggit ko lang iyon dahil kayo rin ang main contractor ng account.
Oh yes - I discovered something recently - even a relatively obscure international call center[operating locally] has that account Mr. Dakshman! Maganda iyang account na iyan kung may e-mail based customer support with upselling and cross-selling. A dream account for me.

ATTENTION: MR DAKSHMAN.......
HELLO......
I have been reading through all the posted messages in the ICT thread and Its nice to know your are responding to applicants who may have questions regarding process of application to your company...hope you notice mine....
I am quite apprehensive of trying to apply to your company because of my lack of call center experience. My previous work experience is from manufacturing industry, but wanted to shift to call center with faster career growth and prospects. But I do have confidence in trying to make it out for this particular industry. I am aiming for CSR position in a challenging account (preferably telecom account) that brings out my skills in numbers and technical matters....
Does your company would consider hiring someone from another industry with no prior call center experience? What are his chances among applicants with call center experience? If an applicant passes all the requirements ( testing, interviews), how soon does he start as a CSR training for the tellecommunications account?
About age discrimination and adaptability issues, does the HR have strict rules regarding this matter?
I am sure I could use some transferable skills( leadership, good in numbers, etc) and very much willing to learn the ropes about this industry. I also would like to know what possible reasons I could state WITHOUT SOUNDING MEDIOCRE when asked about the question " WHY DO YOU WANT WORK IN A CALL CENTER INDUSTRY AND NOT FROM A REGULAR INDUSTRY FROM WHERE YOU ONCE WORKED FOR?.I hope you could enlighten me in some ways on how to respond to this particular question, at least what possible acceptable answers( and not mediocre ones) from a Call Center-HR point of view.....
Thanks in advance for responding..........

I'll send you a pm for my name and I'm wondering if you can reconsider my application for customer care specialists or maybe other positions like QA specialists... thnks ha, hope you can help me...

Dakshman,
aidan again...i would just like to know what are the chances for someone with my experience to be a TL... because right now i'm ready to leave the company i'm staying at right now for a better position... hopefully it would be with your company... i have experience for both outbound and inbound sales... but mostly outbound... and i've been a tl for like 9 months now...

Sir HR
do you accept walk in applicants at your office at Eastwood?
and would you accept an applicant who was out of work for 9 months (re: pregnancy), undergrad and with former call center experience?
and what do applicants go through when they apply (lyk, interviews, exams, or call simulations?)
and last, is your entry-level account inbound or outbound?
thank you po, those are all i want to know!

lazy_agent: Yes. You can apply however we cannot endorse you to the same account. Because we have a non-poach agreement with Sprint, that Daksh will not hire any candidates who handled the same account with another call center company.

hehe... im not from hr of daksh. i applied in daksh 2 or 3 weeks ago w/ a friend. binigyan na kami ng job offer ng daksh. 2nd job na nya sana sa call center & 1 year sya nagwork sa previous employer nya. nilagay nya sa expected salary 16k-18k, kasi 16k ang starting salary na narereceive nya dun sa dati. nung final interview, sinabi na kaagad sa kanya na below 15k lang pwede i-offer sa kanya, it's because wala pa daw sya masyadong working experience. same kami ng office pero nagwork na ko sa 3 diff. call centers since 2002. sa side ko naman, i indicated the same expected salary, 16k-18k, ang sabi lang sakin hanggang 15k lang din ang maii-offer sakin. un lang. pero we have nothing against daksh, i can say na ok ang processing ng applications kasi w/in that day malalaman mo rin if u already got the job or not. nagkataon lang na hindi nagkaroon ng negotiation sa salary. :)

well, for a company that is extremely arrogant with their qualifications for agents and TL's, they can't even give competitive salaries.

i've read about the daksh career tour and it says that it has some sort of one-day recruitment processing (if im not mistaken)... is that true? including contract signing, within the same day? btw, im a neophyte and wanted to try in this industry...

just walk-in if you are interested to apply! :)
all the recruitment processes will be done in one day but the contract signing or job offer will be done at a later time.
THANKS!
