Well, im actually confused right now..

I applied for this job knowing that I meet the above requirements.. I went to Daksh.. went through the usual procedures.. and everything was fine for me..

but then, before my phone simulation, The HR person asked me if i already finished college.. I said I have only reached the 3rd year level.. i entered the simulation room.. (at this point in time, im confident that this is gonna be easy for me) Phone rang... I answered.. before we could start, she told me that my application cannot be processed coz right now theyre only accepting undergrads who have reached 4th year level, and that she would just keep my resume on file, for pooling purposes. But she would still continue on with my simulation... so I went through the simulation.. and i think i did good.. but in the end of it all, she told me again that she cannot accept me at this point in time. So I reasoned with her and told her that i saw their ad in jobstreet and it said that it accepts 3rdyr Undergrads. She said again they could only accept 4thyr Ug. I was really puzzled at that time.. So when I came home, i checked jobstreet and saw the ad again.. which made me more confused.....

sorry ha.. naguguluhan kasi ako.. medyo conflicting kc yung details..
I just wish that if they think Im not qualified they would have informed me earlier para di ako nag-intay ng matagal, thinking I am qualified.. Or better yet.. I wish Daksh people would Check on the job specs/reqs. in their ads para hindi naguguluhan ang mga applicants na kagaya ko......

Anyways.. pagpasensyahan nyo nlng ha.. due to exhaustion and confusion lang siguro to....

ay nako, ganyan talaga daksh...dati im applying for a qa, sabi kasi sa ad one year call center lang requirements, tapos nung interview na, may dagdag na qualifier- one year call center experience as a qa.like you i reasoned out, kasi im really sure of what i read, i even checked when i got home. well good for you na rin, lam mo bang ang taas ng attrition rate dito because it sucks.

No it is not that hard in fact most of the trainees who took this course had fun and most of them passed! Just be confident and believe that you can do it! Good luck!

i totally agree with silly! im based in edsa square and the place is not so bad, the entire 2nd floor is newly renovated (yup kinda like a maze though). parking is not a problem, super mura pa if not free. pag nightshift ka, it's free. otherwise, flatrate is 10 bucks lang. just tell them you're from IBM. tsaka it's not like you're working outside in the carpark where you'll be exposed to the "elements" noh.

iv been to pbcom and yes the view from the 30th floor is breathtaking. but up close, everything on the ground is no different from anywhere else. di naman lahat ng tao sa makati sosyal ah...dami ngang pasosyal eh.

i dont commute but for IBMers who do, to be based in edsa square will definitely save you a lot on transpo expenses....andun na lahat, MRT, jeep, bus, taxi, fx.

Ok sa Edsa Central. If you're a commuter or if you bring your own car, d ka talaga talo. In my case, I bring my own car and I always park at the side of the edsa central mall for free.

Sa Makati stress talaga pumunta lalo na for those who live in far north or far south. Pagmagdadala ng car soobrang mahal ang parking at gas, pag magcommute naman soobrang daming sasakyan pa prone sa traffic at holdap.

Kung nilagay ng IBM Daksh yung Sprint operations sa Edsa Central, mas gaganahan kami pumasok :)

From what I know, that amount is the least amount (starting, entry-level) they can offer and yes, it's taxable but exclusive of some allowances. But if they really really want to hire you based on your performance, they CAN ACTUALLY give you your expected salary or EVEN BIGGER. *okay*

I'm not really good with salary negotiations. Although I'm not totally confident that I'll get that next call from HR, I feel it's best that I prepare by getting an idea on how this is done at IBM Daksh. I surely would like to know how to make the best out of it. Any tips and helpful info will be well appreciated. =)

By the way, what I really want is fair salary that’s balanced with the kind of job that I’ll be taking. The job is something that I like --- perks, migraine, and all --- and getting good compensation would, of course, serve as a big boost to start on.

im a call center virgin, as what they call it here.. and im kinda nervous with the work ahead, especially the AHT and the QA thing.. there's no prob about the night shift thing just the pressure.. fortunately, i'm with ibm, the people are nice here, though the salary is not that much especially for "virgins" like me.. i believe the experience is worth than the money you can get and the oppurtunities for career growth (hopefully) are endless..

I still recall an incident at IBM-Daksh where an applicant pointedly admitted that he went AWOL from his other call center and explained in detail why he did it.....Tinanggap siya ng IBM-Daksh and the person is now aregular employee.

BTW...the person has a very good reason for being AWOL....the interviewer obviously has a good grasp of the pitfalls in this industry and knows when to take a chance in accepting an employee who has this past.

After two hours, I got a copy of the contract, ngek! 14.5k ang nakalagay. What the f***? Anu yun? Bad faith kaagad. Btw, Daksh has 1k food and 1k transpo allowance plus 15% night diff.

Eto pa according to the contract "You are required to work 48 hours a week" So sabi ko "meaning 8 hours for 6 days?" Answer: Hindi daw po! 5 days x 8 hours lang, but if required mag overtime for 8 hours in a week, WLANG Bayad since 48 hrs. naman talaga dapat yung required work hours.

So I decided to forego the signing instead. Accenture na lang ako if ever I'll pursue a career in a call center why?

Only they have:

*1k/per month medicine/dental/optical allowance (reimbursable and cummulative) a total of 12k a year.
*40 hours work week lang.
*HMO coverage on DAY ONE. Sa IBM Daksh after product training pa.

Management has declared the week of October 30 to November 5 as a critical working week.

The nation celebrates All Saints Day on Wednesday, November 1. While the government has declared it a Special Non-Working Holiday, it will be “business as usual” for IBM Daksh call center operations on this day. To ensure that we are adequately staffed to serve our clients, Management has likewise declared the entire week starting today up to Sunday, November 5, as a critical working week.

All Operations personnel (Customer Care Specialists, Assistant Managers and Operations Managers) are required to report to the office during their assigned shifts this week, including November 1. Those absent due to sickness are required to submit a written explanation to their functional heads (cc: General Manager-Human Resources) on why they failed to report to work. They also need to*submit an original copy of a*medical certificate from any hospital/clinic duly accredited by our*health insurance (Intellicare). The medical certificate should state their specific illness, and that they were not fit to work on the date of their absence. HR will closely scrutinize*these documents*to determine their authenticity. Employees found to have submitted fake/spurious medical certificates will be terminated for dishonesty and serious misconduct after due process has been observed. Employees unable to produce medical certificates from an accredited Intellicare hospital/clinic will be suspended for at least three working days.

Management has the sole prerogative to determine whether any other reason (aside from illness) for not reporting to work during the week is valid or not. It will fully exercise this*legal prerogative and*heavily sanction employees*whose reasons are not valid.

The law does not require companies to pay employees who do not work on special non-working holidays, i.e. no work, no pay (see attached DOLE Memorandum Circular No. 1). However, IBM Daksh policy provides more than what the law requires. Hence, employees who are not required to render work and do not report to office on November 1 will receive their regular pay.

Through this email, Management expects all line managers to cascade this information to their*subordinates. To avoid any miscommunication, we suggest that supervising officers print this email and have all their subordinates acknowledge that they have read and fully understood the implications of being absent on a critical working day.

it was really good. my trainer was really nice. tips? unlearn what you've learned before. practice. watch american tv shows/movies. just make sure you wont miss a class, and never be late or there would be "crazy" consequences...hehehe...Ü the training's really fun !!!! it'll be my 2nd week of VA training by monday! yey!!!

yung email account ng daksh pagkakaalam ko nagtaas ng base pay[syempre may bubwit ako dyan sa IBM-Daksh dahil dyan ako galing dati before Sutherland] so as to be able to compete with the pay of other email accounts in other call centers. Masasabi ko lang merong performance based bonus ang IBM-Daksh email account na napasukan ko dati kaya relatively competitive na rin ang pay with the present structure.

Best site pa rin ang EDSA Central...pwedeng mamalengke after shift! Paglabas mo Mall at Wet and dry market.

No wonder ang taas ng attrition rate ng mga agents jan...if employees were able to produce med certs on their "sick dates," then it's a big JOKE! pano kung talagang simpleng lagnat lang? it doesnt take a genius to know that a body temperature more than 37.5 degrees is no longer normal.... naku naman. ano bang klaseng policy yan!

All Operations personnel (Customer Care Specialists, Assistant Managers and Operations Managers) are required to report to the office during their assigned shifts this week, including November 1. Those absent due to sickness are required to submit a written explanation to their functional heads (cc: General Manager-Human Resources) on why they failed to report to work. They also need to submit an original copy of a medical certificate from any hospital/clinic duly accredited by our health insurance (Intellicare). The medical certificate should state their specific illness, and that they were not fit to work on the date of their absence. HR will closely scrutinize these documents to determine their authenticity. Employees found to have submitted fake/spurious medical certificates will be terminated for dishonesty and serious misconduct after due process has been observed. Employees unable to produce medical certificates from an accredited Intellicare hospital/clinic will be suspended for at least three working days.
