View Full Version : Top 5 and Bottom 5 Call Centers here in the Philippines

Based on your opinion, hearsay, and/or experience what are the best and worst call centers here in the Philippines today?
And why?
my pick:
Top 5
1) Convergys - Good pay, stable company, stable accounts- woohoo- top of the heap!
2) Etelecare - Good training, good culture, good benefits (30% night diff, etc)
3) Sykes - Good training, good work environment
4) Ambergris - Good accounts, good facililities, good training
5) C Cubed - Has improved significantly since the Lopezes pulled out- good training
Bottom 5
here's my bottom feeders list
1) Air Relay - Broken promises- low pay, delayed salaries- coupled with bad management (stupid American GM who sucks)- forget it!
2) Contact World Low pay, contractual employment- unstable account- forget it!
3) All Asia - contractual employment, low pay, bad management... thanks but no thanks.
4) Epixtar - uh.. epixtar = bad news- it's a scam. and most of the senior management came from the now defunct i-call (unfortunately- epixtar rehired the idiots who mismanaged i-call).
5) Eperformax - bad management, poor business direction- i'll pass

Contact world is now Client Logic there are promises... let see but "Promises are made to be broken" hehehe
Etelecare ???? I have a co worker who say's it's toxic to work there... many people died due to too much pressure in there jobs.

client logic... they still offer low pay, etel - they have a fast number of employees as in mabilis umalis ang mga bagong dating ahhahaha....
ambergris - mas mahalaga ang service level kaysa mastress ang employees nila noh
c3 - diba source1 na to? pero low pay p rin...
convergys... lets just hope they maintain that certain level... dumaan na dyan ang etel, pero what happened to etel? 45k bond 2yrs non compete clause - convergys nga ndi tumatanggapng employees na may noncompete clause eh...

etel? no way... this company has been sold like three times in the past few years...
PeopleSupport is definitely in the top 5.

i think call centers are just starting or training ground for fresh grad... yung mga na-u-uto pa nila! meaning...those:mecry: poor creatures who still don't know what are their benefits...kaya nga come & go tao sa call center aside from the abnormal life na shifting sked lalu na pag *pexadik*graveyard shift ka at yosi :smokin:lang ba pahinga?!! pero syempre masaya :sprung: pag pay-day laki night diff e!
when i was a newbie as tech support, i remember our trainer said don't rush the contract signing coz its like selling your soul to the :flamedvl:...contacting hell...gotcha!!!
sa mga kinareer ang :walkman:call center*phone*...enjoy pa siguro sila and still having fun.
GOOD LUCK!!!:turncat:

my top five are as follows:
1. Ambergris Solutions: Good Pay, Class-A Facilities,Good training! Good Management and Reputable Accounts!(diverse from utility, tech to inbound sales customer service.) Good people(most of them are from up, dlsu, ust, ateneo, miriam etch...) and definitely the perks and Incentives!
2. Convergys: Reputable and solid international reputation(however, we pray that they dont become a fly-by-night call center...)
3. People Support: Strong when it comes to tech accounts! Honestly I dont know much about them. Good environment as well like ambergris a lot of their agent and support staff are from up, dlsu, ust, ateneo and others...
4. Source1(formerly Ccube): Good Training.
5. Sykes: Good Working environment.
bottom five? no comment!

According to what i've read in INQ7.net's IT section that call center is just a fad, probably it will ceased in 2007.

source one asia? best? hmmm... not to offend pero galing ako dun. oo maganda ang training, pero ang ops eh... eh... hmmm... no comment po.
call centers in the philippines are here to stay. kasi win-win situation ang both parties. mataas ang sweldo ng agents or reps, then ang capitalist naman eh nakakamura, and they get the same (sometimes even better) quality sa calls they get.

If you resign before you have reached your second year of employment with Etelecare- you have to pay them P 45K to cover the cost of your "training" - that's it.

ang pagkakaintindi ko sa etel, you have to work for 6mos, if you leave before the said number of months, you will have to pay 45k. OR WORK FOR ONE WHOLE MONTH w.o getting paid.
what i mean of 2yrs non compete clause, you are not allowed to work on the same industry (which is a call center) within 2yrs starting at the date of last service or termination or resignation...
TELETECH.... where in fort boni or in roxas blvd?
kasi ganito sa fort boni...
its actually Vocativ (a subsidiary company of ePLDT), an outsourcing company and the people hired by vocativ work for teletech.
Now, Teletech in Roxas are purely teletech, although malayo para sa iba pero maganda ang office (still haven't seen it, reactions lang for former colleagues who used to work in vocativ na nilipat na sa roxas)
Kasi, lahat ng reklamo ng vocativ employees binuhos nila roxas blvd, like having a garden inside the bldg, ewan ko lang kung may kama na talga sa quiet room, may shower room at ang alam ko flat screen and mga computers doon... (im not sure about the flat screen
ahheheheh... questions?

hi people! i'm just new here. i vote for PS. apart from the salary and the benefits, the management/HR is so cool! sobrang relaxed ang environment. you need not to come in office attire,. you are given your own PS email account which is accessible even outside the office. while it is true that they have policies such as no cellphones, no eating, no surfing, they are actually not strictly enforced. there's one account though which occupies the whole floor where you have to surrender your cellphone and internet access was disabled kasi sobrang sensitive ng account because it deals with finance. pati ballpen and paper bawal!
this company actually gives you opportunity to grow. nasasa'yo na lang if you want to take advantage of them. they don't regard training as a Department but as a University. they actually call it PS University. You can enroll in courses like workforce management, finance, management and even technical courses. and while you're with the company and would like to try it out in other departments, they have a Volunteer Internship program. you can volunteer in HR, Admin, Finance, QA, Workforce and even in Training.
ano pa ba? yun lang masasabi ko, sobrang impressed ako with the rate this company is growing. they have a facility in Cebu which opened middle of last year and this year, tinatayo na yung PS Center sa tapat ng makati med tapos next week io-open na yung isang facility sa buendia sa may Export Bank.
Di pa ko regular pero the company gives you a raise pag na-regularize ka plus stock options. i don't know kung ano yon.

i'd still go for AOL Member Services Inc., Phil.
the culture is great, benefits are the greatest, have access to even the GM like talk to her when you see her walking around, hear what you have to say and act on it immediately if valid....
the pay is at par with the call centers in Manila, work for 8 hours but the 1 hour is a paid break time...
uptrainings are done at least once or twice a week, promotions will be based on your performance and not by kissing somebody's arse....
and the best of all, free internet access at home... hooooo.....

PeopleSupport - I applied there as a part-timer right at the start of the second semester of this school year. I was informed that I passed right after I took the exam. I, too, knew that I passed coz those who didn't were sent out already. However, the representative after a while told me that they're just gonna call me for the interview. A week later, somebody called in my cell and asked if I could take the test. I said I had already taken the exams and was just waiting for their call for the next stage of my application. I told her that I was just applying for a part-time slot. She just suddenly told me that they're no longer accepting part-timers... I was like HUWAAAT?!!

Sa Etelecare, the bond is 2 years and a P45T fne if you are an inbound agent. Whereas, if you're a telemafrketer, 6 months bond and a P30T fine.

1) SYKES! the best in terms of compensation, benefits and allowances. walang tatalo sa transpo allowance! example: i work in cubao and i am assigned in makati. taxi fare ko is P100/day. so yun ang allowance ko per day. kahit lumipat na ako sa makati hindi na nila babaguhin yun.
2) PeopleSupport - the best when it comes to working condition! walang dress code and hindi sila strict when it comes to internet usage. they have a recreation room where you can play billiards and online games. meron pa silang shower rooms! yayaman ka pa sa OT! (account dependent):
example: my friend's daily rate is P700 per day. if you come to work on your rest day (8HRS) that's 130% x your daily rate PLUS! P500 incentive.
for 4 hours OT, plus P200 incentive.
Ganda ng Professional Development Program nila. They offer free courses on management, technical courses, workforce management at kung anu-ano pang mga courses.

I still have my reservations about Convergys kasi all i hear about Convergys is that they are one of the most admired, or they are the number 1 call center in the world, pero wala pa akong naririnig na talagang kakaiba about them at least when it comes to compensation.
i have seen my brother's contract kasi na di nya tinanggap. wala namang kakaiba akong nakita except for the quarterly bonuses na 10-15% ba yun?
pati yung basic salary for non-experienced CSRs is only P12500.

Convergys is overrated. I have some friends who are now resigning from that company due to office politics and mismanagement issues.

black_death, yeah i've heard about that. some people think it has something to do with getting executives, TLs, trainers, and such, from different call centers. different styles, methods, culture equal chaos. but i don't know. my headhunter is pushing me there now. i'll have to hang out here for a while to get more feedback.

Oh well...

hi, i belong to a tech account in PS, *** you think of a late schedule like 2am-11am? sabi nila "sweeper" daw yun, meaning kaunti lang ba ang calls namin unlike sa mga shift na nag start sa 10pm??
ok ba yan? :)

Mar 27, 2004, 01:58 AM
Pareho lang. Medyo mas mahirap nga yung up to 11am, because the call window ends at 11. Meaning, you can't log out until all calls are taken from the queue...and you'd have to finish the call of course. If it's a long call...OT :)

Teletech really sucks, ok *** accent training and call handling, pero kpag product training hell will break rules. here's why!!!
# 1) After a week AMSPEAK, if ever pang gabi ka let say 12mn-8am mon-friday 2nd week call handling naman, cyempre mega bago ulit sched. from graveyard, lipat ka normal office hours like 9am-6pm mon-fri. Pagdating ng 3rd week iba na naman ang sched nyo, dats for product training na, tapos watak watak na kayo ng class nyo from AMSPEAK... definitely the schedule will really ruin ur bodyclock as in di ka nila iinform, malalaman mo nalang na bago na pala sched mo pagdating friday!!!
#2) I was expecting a good facility in taht call center sa roxas, guess what, The first day ng Product training namin, turn on the computer diba, then open Internet EXplorer and then cyempre punta me friendster.com. Aba hindi pala secured ang network nila. Super dami sa popups! After a few seconds restart ka ulit ng PC mo. tapos *** trainor namin gurl *** na pinay super monotonous as in she's like reading a book when she discuss the topic.. kaka loka, mas maganda parin sa client logic kc they will train you well **** na wala kang alam sa computer. After a month super galing mona!I
#3) I HATE the "CALL FLOW" IT SUCKS!!! kami ngang mga technical na sa computers naguguluhan,If u are a technical person solving a complicated problem ull understand what im trying to say pagdating mo sa TELETECH! pano pa *** *** mga walang background sa computer or internet, kawawa naman ***!!
#4) TRainer sucks...trying to give us lesson and telling us that we need to be appropriate with our accent .he himself doesn't have a nice accent and barok pa ang english.
#5) tranportation. total dillemma!!! imagine *** shuttle nila is from 12mn lang, what if tulad nung sched namin na 4-12mn, wala ng shuttle by that time. Ull be forced to walk along macapagal blvd knowing its very risky and madilim sa daan. baka maging bangkay kana paguwi mo. Imagine going on a taxi every shift just to go home!!! Grabeehhh
Bottomline!!! If ur ready to die in this deadspot Callcenter, this is the place for you!! You cud be kidnapped, robbed, raped or be murdered.1 day on ur way to the building!!

You cud be kidnapped, robbed, raped or be murdered.1 day on ur way to the building!!

i'm really sorry for the inconvenience... and for laughing its just that i never thought that Teletech's Mgt in Roxas hasn't got any difference from the company where they came from... AT ALL...
BWAHAHAHAHHA
if you have read some of the previous posts of other pexers then u'l know what company im talking about... i do hope they are reading this because their mgt is so bad... the company im talking about only have these shifts from 11pm to 2am... and whats worse if u start with 2am - you get lower night diff pay because n.d. ends at 6am... the comp im talking about even have a lot of salary issues even until now...
hahahahhaha....

4)C3 -though i'm not so convinced abt this one, but hey..

Singit lang pero ndi me nakikipag-away : The reasong why the company raised the salary is due to attrition rate i mean *** in-on ng employees.... Na realize na nila na ang daming nagresign...

I agree sa kay president gao...but I doubt if he's really worked sa Convergys.
I think it's true that they are overrated. They are very famous as far as call centers are concerned, but man, they have some unfriendly people in their HR and they have different people all coming from already established call centers around, so these people have already different things in mind...and that's not good.
They have the capital to boost but overall, it's still the people working for you that counts.
But they do have handsome paychecks for their people. I do not know with the benefits though.

duh?!? now if this ain't the biggest bunch of BS i ever heard! i applied before in etel, hindi ako tinanggap kasi daw undergrad ako. but now things are changing... sa dami ng mga call centers dito, and 4-6 more (not sure) ang papasok by mid year, these companies have no choice but to hire undergrads... kasi in fine fairness, some of the best agents i handled were undergrads. they have much more to prove than graduates. being an undergrad myself, naranasan ko din yan. pero ngayon, ay sus, hindi na uso yan. wag ka nga lang mamili. if you get into one, work smart, learn the ropes, then move on. when you gain the experience, lamang kana over the newly grads, kasi experienced kana. hehehe... sorry got carried away. i still can't figure out why some shortchange themselves kesyo undergrad, and makes them inferior... hehehe... peace tayo bro! or sis...
PS: hehehe... problema lang sa iba they want to strike oil on the first dig... always looking for the quantum leap. tip ko lang, do it when you have the experience to back up your demand... kaya maraming hindi masaya sa call center. hehehe... OT na, but sana maraming matuto from my two cents worth. oh BTW, hanggang ngayon tumatawag sakin ang etel, eh masaya nako sa work ko. maybe next time...

UPs:good working environment(no formal dress code n masaya

Downs:just watch out for a few nasty Tl's & managers
2. Sykes
UPS: almost the same as PS
Downs:it is very hard to get promoted because they have so
many employees, you might not get noticed for your work.

thats keeping me from making it no1 is that theres nothing else
I have heard about them except that.

UPS:good pay(I mean GOOD!), nice hours, nice environment
Downs:as always they really havent been able to get rid of
the "politica" in their management system
5. ICT
UPS: good pay, good hours, nice environment.
Downs: its outbound telemarketing
Bottom 5
1. Influent phil
UPS: good working environment
Downs: low pay, inconsistent giving of commission, broken
promisses, they deduct the salary for taxes, sss, pagibig,
philhealth but they dont really contribute it to the respective
gov't agencies.
2. Air relay
under same management as Influent. No more comment
3. Epixstar
Scam+politics in management...need I say more
4. Contact world-I think they're called I logic now

eTelecare appeared as one of the top 5 most preferred call center employers during a survey of 2,000 freshly employed college graduates conducted last October 2003-January 2004. The top 5 call center employers cited were:
1. Sykes
2. eTelecare
3. PeopleSupport
4. Ambergris Solutions
5. Smart
Last 2001, eTelecare was 3rd:
1. Globe
2. PeopleSupport
3. eTelecare
4. Sykes
5. Citibank Citiphone
Take note of the jump in the preference for Sykes as an employer, and the drop in Globe.
Convergys did not appear in the top 5 of 2004 since less than 5% of the 2,000 respondents in 2003-2004 recognized the company.
cstolentino
May 21, 2004, 11:27 PM
Reasons respondents gave when choosing the most preferred call center employer:
1. Working environment (people, ambiance, location)
2. Pay
3. Management style and policies
4. Clients
5. Nature of work
6. Prestige of company
7. Reward system
8. Benefits
9. Chance to work with friends
10. Word of mouth recommendations

OK ba talaga sa eTel? And companies like eTel, Convergys and PeopleSupport do look saturated (I mean, there's already too much people working there already). How do they pass on promotion in these companies?

To Mr_G: Globalstride, for me, is a good call center company located in Eastwood Libis... Management, working environment, people, trainors, most TL's are good!!! I worked in different call center before in Ortigas and Libis, compared to GS, well, this is the best! Medyo may konting kababaan nga lang ng basic pay, pero sobrang dali ng work, madaling kumita ng commission, free food pa, and wala kang masasabe sa tao! yon lang!

i agree with kahte, globalstride is by far one of the top call centers in my eyes. they even let clients smoke in the center too. hehe management is not bad, but overall ambience is amazing. although you get much more for your money at epixtar, gs is great.

ey...that's not true...im with one of those accounts u mentioned...I am getting like 20-30 calls a day..on weekends yun lang talagang walang call, kasi nga it's a weekend...yup, the working environment is really cool, and I am proud to say taht we have the best HR people...very friendly and really approachable.
tunkol sa account where u came from...u have lots of training since it is really a new account but I think they are ramping up right now. I met some guys on the floor and since they have this temporaray ID with them, I asked on what acct they are training for, yun nga, sa account ninyo dati...so yun dinamihan ang tao para fair ang workload to everybody...:)

They have the capital to boost but overall, it's still the people working for you that counts.
But they do have handsome paychecks for their people. I do not know with the benefits though.

garapata? you don't know what you are talking about. perhaps in terms of size and global presence. but that doesn't automatically translate to competitive benefits that can match what eTel, sykes and PS provide. mga institution na yan dito.
yung mga bagong call centers ngayon, start up or not, only patterned their compensation packages from the 3.

What the?!?!?!
You guys can't possibly consider placing ambergris in the top 5. If u made the mistake of doing so, you might not have experienced the rotten management and poor facilities of amber. They're so eager to expand with other accts that they neglect their old ones. Imagine, my first day and we were like stealing each other's workstations during lunch breaks because there aren't enough for everyone.
They mask their stench by spending on PR. Search the internet for articles about the company and ud get dozens... with **** like all agents are given an Issue of USA Today everyday!!! YEah right!
ANd nice facilites? they might look nice but they dont work right. Most of our computers in Discovery are CLONES. Our Raffles center also has CLONES. Flat monitors - right! - but CLONES.
And I could go on and on, but I digress. Such bitter experiences should be left in the past.

This thread has run to 5 pages and the only sensible posting here came from cstolentino, posted back in March. It was very factual, objective and deliberate. It should be able to make ALL call centers aware of what needs to be worked on to be able to move up, if not maintain status as top 5. And as such, all call centers has its own idiosyncrasies and quirks. It takes a certain personality and culture fit to adapt and adjust to certain environments of varying degrees. No organization holds the perfect structure.
Apparently from the threads from promil_kid and chinghe (seemingly buddies from people support?), a happy agent is one who can surf the internet during office hours. Not much discipline imbibed in the organization perhaps? Or not much business flowing in as call volumes are low?

Sorry to disappoint you my dear but we only get to surf during our lunch or coffee breaks.
Low call volumes doesn't always mean less business because apparently, we are able to meet the SLAs, at least in my account, set by the client who has been here since time immemorial. Also, please know that not all PS pexers here are eReps™. A lot of us here are from other departments.
so how many PS people are here especially in this thread?
coz a lot of people here posted that people support is "In the top 5"...or is it? or maybe self-proclaimed?

I'm not trashing any call center and in my opinion, noble competition is what matters. My opinion still holds true and I admire PS because of the people who started it. Good people like Rozl, Sookie, Grace Rub.
Guys, while I admire your passion for your company, lets keep everything factual and the humor light. Promilkid may indeed have been horseplaying but in my opinion, it was done in bad taste. Speaks ill of the kind of people who are part of the organization. Rozl, Sookie and company are all classy, sophisticated and well-mannered and I would like to think that their standards in hiring are just as high. This thread is meant to help other people gain good insights as to where to explore opportunities and not to cause infighting amongst the industry.

1. Convergys = #1 kasi eh and I heard that the pay is high. Spends a great deal on advertising, and obviously has an ad agency doing all their stuff.
2. Sykes = big company, I'm not so sure about the pay though.
3. Ambergris Solutions = ideal company since it's Filipino-owned therefore the people who work there are supposed to be wearing corporate attire(or pormahan lang?). pays low though.
4. PeopleSupport = cool people...so cool that they can wear sandals and puruntong shorts for guys.
5. Etelecare = I know they pay high but they should get an ad agency to do their advertising.
THAT'S ALL!

top centers for me;
peoplesupport - motivation, good environment, lives up to its name, excellent support from management, they listen to employees
sykes - maintaining their growth, steady company revenue, i just hate the crowd
convergys - mostly the trust in accounts
teletech - agressiveness in the environment
ambergris - agressive yet subtle company
bottom centers
epixtar - scam!
client logic - low pay, unreasonable policy/review to increase employee's salary (na hindi naman dapat), no motivation from senior mgt, arrogance
etelecare - pure image no vision
linksys - or whatever center that supports the said product in libis, inhumane salary
the center that resides also in wynsum bldg, owned by an indian - stupid staff, inhumane pay, dont know they're weaknesses w/c makes them weak
infoxx - lack of knowing their status/vision
eperformax - unexperienced or dumb management
ePacific - greedy management
SM ventures - 8k a month, no OT, no night diffs, no allowances, pure sweat-shop from herbert sy (henry sy's son)

Don't worry Mr. galit_kay_kuhol, I wasn't isolating you.;) I just know for a fact that there are people from a number of call centers who are saying bad things about their competitors. One of them even made some sort of a "summary" of what people are saying in this thread. It was pretty obvious that their company had a rather long list of positive points...very biased reporting if I may say so.

is it true that ICT pays the highest now? 18k, night diff, .....?
the highest offered in the call center now for night diffs is additional 30%, from the local laws in our country of having only 10%. but many of the call centers now have 30% night diffs, still havent heard of anyone going for 35% or 40% unless its a life risking job, so i strongly believe that ICT still has 30% in night diffs, kung mataas na ang salary nila, they will lose profit fast if the go more than 30% in nioght diff

Hindi ba talaga maganda sa Eperformax? kasi training ko sa 20th eh..... fresh grad lang me kaya i dnt have the right to say na "taasan nyo *** basic pay ko right?"
wadya say???
in fairness 2 day lang ang hiring nila at mibilis pero half a day ang exam....

my sister and i work for different call centers and while we compare benefits and workloads, we don't really compete with each other. each call center has its own good and bad qualities. it's up to each person to judge for himself kung alin talaga ang magandang pasukan na call center.

They offer free courses on management, technical courses, workforce management at kung anu-ano pang mga courses.
very well said okrayfever totoo yan. Sykes is the biggest call center today since they were the first and net worth in terms of finances. At *** manpower niyo talagang marami na kayo. I don't know if after the inauguration of the People Support Center
at a prime spot in Ayala Ave., cor Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., will make them the most stable call center here. We do admit that some call centers are stable in the states. Operative word in the states so am not sure yet with Convergys, though. Ako dun pa rin ako sa stable na call center. no delays in payroll, compensation is good, medical benefits, good working environment, etc.. People Support's medical benefits so far I think is the best with 500k/year medical benefits private room for agent and its dependents. Sykes' is allowances I heard is really to die for :) panalo talaga *party*
My bottom 5 callcenters:
1) Strategy Tel grabe ang panloloko nila mga want ads nila mga full page pero may friend ako niloko dun :deal:
2) ePerformax - delayed mag pasahod :depressed2:
3) ePLDT- sobrang liit ng sahod wala pang medical benefits kahit *** mga GY 8k lang daw a month :yuck:
4) VXi - mismanaged lahat pati finances pati sahod at OT pay pati bonuses :yuck: :yuck:

that is no excuse especially if it's pertaining to money matters. agents work on GY shifts and not only is their life at stake but heir health as well. at least a normal company would think that way.

I do hope that no one monitors this thread and takes it seriously.
Honestly, there has been a powerpoint that circulated from one call center to another. This powerpoint was based on this thread. My whole department was gravely afected by it. Upper management thought it was a factual and reliable survey. The consequence of that was they are now monitoring our department closely and we have been subjected to mockery. That presentation claimed to have been created based on 2000 respondents. It was a irresponsible act.
This message does not mean to offend anyone but a reminder for some to be responsible in relaying messages outside the board.

You're a fool if you believe everything you read here. Why would you take things here as gospel truth when people post here under the cloak of anonymity? That's why it's futile for management to argue here because, obviously, "fair trial" is not something they will achieve in the boards. Now, if you want change/progress in your company, go to proper channels. Grievance boxes are not trash bins for used tissue papers.
And to share, I read that backstabbing/sour-grapping/chronically dissatisfied employees are the most unproductive employees in the company.

have u guys been reading the papers l8ly?
coz if u r, then u'll see the news abt etel & the constant improvements they've been doin. Its predicted that before the year ends, this Co's revenue will surpass Jollibees as one of the top companys here in the country.
Other callcenters, if ure goin to look at their comp&ben package the base pay is the only thing thats high. Theyre doing that to attract applicants, but after a while when u look at it ure going to notice that ure not compensated much after all.

hi people! i'm just new here. i vote for PS. apart from the salary and the benefits, the management/HR is so cool! sobrang relaxed ang environment. you need not to come in office attire,. you are given your own PS email account which is accessible even outside the office. while it is true that they have policies such as no cellphones, no eating, no surfing, they are actually not strictly enforced. there's one account though which occupies the whole floor where you have to surrender your cellphone and internet access was disabled kasi sobrang sensitive ng account because it deals with finance. pati ballpen and paper bawal!
this company actually gives you opportunity to grow. nasasa'yo na lang if you want to take advantage of them. they don't regard training as a Department but as a University. they actually call it PS University.
Di pa ko regular pero the company gives you a raise pag na-regularize ka plus stock options. i don't know kung ano yon.
i agree! also, ok ang procedure nila ng pag-hire.in my case, i went there thurs for 1st interview.then they asked me to come back fri.saturday i was there for the briefing and contract signing.monday, start of training. ang bilis lang d ba,d tulad sa iba na ilang beses ka pa pbblikin. :p
ok ang environment ng ps. saka magaling din ang mga trainor.:yum:

You cud be kidnapped, robbed, raped or be murdered.1 day on ur way to the building!!

ah no of course. i even learn a lot from working there kasi kahit konti kaming mga employees, we get to tsismis a lot about this call center & that call center. i dont think we have the right na magsumbong about what's happening. though....it always comes out naman in our monthly/quarterly/annual surveys, reviews & meetings w/ the senior management of the call centers. we are actually the bridge b/w the agents & the jr. management. our focus is more in operations improvement, not what agents demand (like salary raise) to the call center management

i did not come from teletech but from another call center with "tele" in its name too.
# 1) After a week AMSPEAK, if ever pang gabi ka let say 12mn-8am mon-friday 2nd week call handling naman, cyempre mega bago ulit sched. from graveyard, lipat ka normal office hours like 9am-6pm mon-fri. actually, naranasan ko to. in just 3 weeks naka night to morning to lean shift ako. all these with different days off. asan nang social life ko diba? test of flexibility? siguro. but i learned how to voice out my opinions and grievances after that. my point? it's just like that especially if you're handling a new account and if there's a few agents. if the account's stable, your sked will follow.
#2) I was expecting a good facility in taht call center sa roxas, guess what, The first day ng Product training namin, turn on the computer diba, then open Internet EXplorer and then cyempre punta me friendster.com. actually, sa pinasukan ko dati, allowed din ang friendster. madami nang nahuhuli yung network security officer namin na nagsusurf sa site na yun tas what he'll do is to email the names and their activities to the ops people. when we also had product specifics training, i admit after that i also didn't learn much. reality is, all that you need to know will be encountered when you are already on the floor. if you're from CL and your account is Dell, almost all customer related inquiries can already be found in the Dell Trees. all u need to do is to read and say it. that what makes it easy.
#3) I HATE the "CALL FLOW" IT SUCKS!!! kami ngang mga technical na sa computers naguguluhan,If u are a technical person solving a complicated problem ull understand what im trying to say pagdating mo sa TELETECH! pano pa *** *** mga walang background sa computer or internet, kawawa naman ***!!
ah... i remember the call flow i hardly follow. haha. we had lots of complains too. kase first name, last name and email address (pati phone # kailangan i-repeat) kailangan ALWAYS i-key spell. or else, patay ka sa QA. e pano pag mark adams? what's the point of keypell diba?
#4) TRainer sucks...trying to give us lesson and telling us that we need to be appropriate with our accent .he himself doesn't have a nice accent and barok pa ang english.
dito lang ako di agree in reference dun sa pinasukan ko. kasi magagaling trainers dun, friendly, approachable at fun pa.
#5) tranportation. total dillemma!!! imagine *** shuttle nila is from 12mn lang, what if tulad nung sched namin na 4-12mn, wala ng shuttle by that time. meron din kaming shuttle nun pero no one avails of it dahil hindi din tugma sa sked.
my bottomline? ganyan din naman sa iba... same concerns and same dillemas. it doesn't mean that grasses are always greener on the other side. *okay*

Pwede sya sa top 5 in terms of training, mahirap ang training and stuff.

5. Convergys
Not in order but I don't like these call centers:
1. Link2Support - Yaiks! Eto na yata pinakamababang magpasahod sa technical support sa lahat ng call centers! Management sucks too! Pulitika! Pero OK technical training dito.
2. Daksh - Ayoko lang ng panggabing training.
3. C-Cube (C3?)

If you resign before you have reached your second year of employment with Etelecare- you have to pay them P 45K to cover the cost of your "training" - that's it.
bonds are illegal. madami ng cases sa nlrc about that and most of them (if not all) favored the employees..

My Top 5 Call Centers
1.) Client Logic - this is the best call center for me because of their incentives, friendly managers, supervisors and employees, how they properly recognize the great work of an employee thru quarterly recognition events (I was a FCR Champion, Productivity Champion and Attendance Champion) and I have a lot peeps and friends there. They recognize me as an icon, showstopper, headliner and a main event! (Shawn Michaels in the making)
2.) Sykes- Excellent training, compensation and peeps
3.) Convergys - Living Legend
4.) Etelecare - Heavyweight Champion
5.) People Support - Lots Of Peeps
Top 5 Worst/Dumb*** Call Centers
1.) Infonxx - Infonzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
2.) Daksh - Indians S***
3.) Link 2 Support - L*** 2 My S***
4.) Teleperformance - TP 4 My B***hole
5.) Parlance - Training is a big s*** in my a** that's why I ended my tenure there by beating someone's a**

The reason that I included Client Logic in the Top 5 it is because this is where I've started my call center career. When you start your career here, it is easier to apply on other call centers when you resign (because they give you a waiver upon completing your employment clearance). Did you know that after I've resigned in Client Logic, I've applied to 5 different call centers namely Etelecare, Teleperformance, Sykes, HSBC, and Infonxx. After I took a screening in these 5 companies, I've been called by these 5 companies for a job offer.
Can you guess which one of the 5 companies did I sign the job offer?
1. Etelecare

1. Etelecare
2. Sykes
3. Teleperformance
4. HSBC
5. Infonxx

i think its funny because agents always talk about Convergys being the best or being the top call center.... kung alam nyo lang :-)... i think convergys is good; dipende nlng kung saang account ka mapupunta... kung sa mga special accounts ka nila mapunta malas mo... pag sa telecoms or networking accts mas astig :-)... wud u believe i know a trainer na hindi fluent mag english?...
but i think cvg is good

Epixtar malapit nang mawala. Filed for bankruptcy protection sa States. Ang Sitel naman yung tahimik naming kasama sa Libis (taga eTel ako) so I really dunno what they do there kasi tahimik talaga alam ko may Dell tech support sila pero CTS lang ata sa eTel may CTS and ACS.

Nope. That is not true dude. Meron mga call center agents na hindi nag te-take ng calls. Meron ding support lang nila is E-mail and Chat. I think it should not always be a notion to assume that all call centers ONLY take calls. Customers/ clients contact these call centers to get help from specific problems not only via phone but also other stuffs. *okay*

sige nga? kung email ang support nila ano tawag sa kanila? email center? pano naging call center ang hindi nagte'take ng calls?
