Actor Nestor de Villa dies of cancer

ACTOR Nestor de Villa passed away Saturday after a lingering bout with cancer.

De Villa, a veteran actor and performer, had been widely known as the screen partner of fellow show biz luminary Nida Blanca, who was murdered in 2001.


He was part of the stable of LVN Studio, wherein he starred in several classic films, mostly alongside Blanca.

If it's true, then it would be a big loss! Not only did showbiz lost one of its legend but more of a loss in the field of Photography. He made his mark more as one of the better known photographers in the Philippines.

So the blind item pala before was true...exag lang kasi sabi dun 2 months nalang siya. It also means that when he did Forevermore he already had cancer. :(

I can't believe wala man lang ditong nag-mention tungkol sa pagkamatay ng dakilang aktor na ito. Nestor De Villa was a legend of Philippine cinema and his passing is a huge loss to the Philippine entertainment industry. He and Nida Blanca are up in heaven now, doing what they do best, tripping the light fantastic, entertaining the angels

Nestor's passing is quite a shock to me. I'm sure he is now happy with Nida in heaven. BTW, he is into full time Christian ministry if I'm not mistaken, and is actively involved with Christian work before his demise, which is why the CCF (Christ Commission Fellowship) is staging a memorial service for him to be graced by presidentiable Bro. Eddie Villanueva of JIL Church.

Slowly but surely, God is calling the good showbiz men and women to him, leaving the unethicals standing who are now gracing our TVs and movies. So sad....
