a person has just retired and wants to save P200,000 of her lump sum money. main purpose is to have something for the 'future' kumbaga. par may madukot-dukot.
ano kayang sort of investment ang the best para dito? definitely out yung i-invest sa business kasi too risky na yan at this stage. yug something na safe investment nalang just enough to compensate sa inflation rate natin.
any suggestion?

Here in Canada, they have RRSPs and in the US, they have that 401(k) thing. Try checking the Philippine government website if they have a similar retirement savings plan you can take advantage of. If not, try asking the company you're working now if they have retirement plans suitable for you.

By the way, you save your retirement money while you are still working. You don't start saving when you're already retired.

You can invest it in a mutual fund.Actually you can diversify her P200K...*** P150K nya pwd sya sa Philam bond fund...kse 8% net of taxes ang maeearn nya in a year except ito tax exempted.then *** P50K naman nya she can invest it sa isang equity-laced fund para in the long run she can enjoy the benefits of the stock market.
