I would like to ask for your help since we do not have the means to react to the management of Anson Emporium Corporation.
We, the employees of Anson Emporium, Ongpin Branch were illegally discharged last December 20, 2003. The list of personnel include: (Dante Torres, Ramil Zabala, Rose, Albert and Francis) We were not been given our salary which was due us last December 2003.
The said branch was also blamed for theft and so far investigations were undergoing. But, INVESTIGATIONS WERE NOT YET FINISHED and thus management ordered that the branch will be CLOSED and all employees of the branch DISMISSED.
This is illegal since there are no basis for the discharge of the employees.
Please help us.
You may want to contact the HRD of Anson Emporium.

I would like to ask if in case the workers of the said branch are
contractual (under an agency), and then they have already worked for almost 4 years now for Anson's, they are still considered contractual, right?
Actually, the story goes like this:
Last November 22, 2003 (Saturday), Anson Emporium Ongpin Branch lost (5) Blank invoices.
This matter was at the same day related to Anson's makati head office Audit Department by the name Gloria Dionisio (who is the Audit Head). We were anticipating that Ms. Gloria Dionisio would issue a memo to all Anson Emporium's 5 branches so as to stop the customer (or the thief) from getting the said invoice and claiming from other Anson branches.
But sad to say, NO MEMO was issued. Ms. Gloria Dionisio forgot to issue the memo.
Come November 27, 2003 (Thursday), the thief who stole the invoice from Anson Emporium Ongpin branch was able to steal an amount of (more or less) P 87,000.00 worth of appliances and the thief was able to get it from Anson's branch at the Landmark. That was the time that Ms. Gloria Dionisio issued the
memo that such series of invoices were lost.
AFter that happened, investigations were conducted on both Anson Ongpin branch and Anson The Landmark Branch.
Anson Management told that more or less an amount equivalent to 1.9Million pesos worth of appliances were stolen. (but as of now, management of Anson's CANNOT PROVE SUCH)
They conducted an investigation on all of the people from Anson's Ongpin
branch and are as follows:
1. They removed the samsung and jvc promodizer since they thought that promodizers are prone to thief.
2. They discharged all contractual salesmen (is this legal???) of
Anson's Ongpin Branch WITHOUT PROVING YET that they are guilty.
3. After their discharge, they were given their 13th month pay but the last pay of December 2003 was not released to them.
4. They were asking for clearance from the HRD of Anson's but they were not signed because investigations were not yet over (as told by Anson's HRd) but the question was how can there be an investigation if all of the salesmen are already out of anson's?
5. They accused Anson's Ongpin Salesmen selling 1.9M Pesos worth of Appliances at 50% off and pocketing the money without issuing any sales slips or invoices. These are BASELESS ACCUSATIONS are their proof was only hearsay. In which when we asked of who (refering to the one who spread the
rumors) told Anson's management and we challenged them by giving the right brand, model and serial number and matched it with what the supplier delivered to Anson's. It will match. Otherwise anyone can claim that a particular store sells something at 50% off.
This story already is destroying the credibility and dignity of these salesmen.
If there are any ways that you guys can help, please do.
We have no means, no money. We are just common ordinary people. If they accuse us, we hope that they do find basis for our discharge. If they don't want to hire us, Its ok, as long as they give us our clearance and our salary that is due us. We were accused based on NO EVIDENCE at all.
Then we found out that we were already ILLEGALLY DISCHARGED.
Please help us.
