O BTW, don't just look into the salary...look into the benefits, too! Ask yourself this:
1. Are you going to be insured medically and what's the coverage?
2. Are you allowed "leaves"?
3. Are you tied to a certain salary for more than 6 months? [ coz some companies offer a fat paycheck to gullible trainees but tie them up for a long time. in the long run, ikaw ang lugi]
4. What are the other cash and non-cash compensation?
5. How long should the company keep you? Can you resign anytime you want?

Depends really in the industry and location...
If in manila don't accept anything less than 16k for an MT position. In the province might be lower....
Also consider other things such as benefits, program content of training and how long will they hold u.

most of those benefits are benefits that you would not want to use; like death and sickness benefits:D

My batchmates who are in the latest batch of Management Trainees at JG Summit only get 12,000/month. Problem nga nila is that di sila taga-Manila and they have to rent a condo/apartment... cost of which might drain their monthly salary. Housing for the first month of the training lang daw kasi sagot ng JG... Well, I think it's bad considering that the company gets majority of its trainees from regional schools due to their "diversity policy"...And my batchmates never had an alternative employment coz prior to graduation pa sila kinuha ng JG.
chippers23: Tumuloy ka ba sa OTP? Parang nagmeet na tayo sa ibang thread????
Medyo off-topic: I passed the initial and panel interview at BPI for the OTP last week. I just want to know if the 20,000/month "Hiring salary" is already the net pay. I also want to know other benefits being offered to Management Trainees/OTPs. I avoided bringing up those topics during the interviews kasi. Baka ma-turn-off sila sa kin. Medyo confused kasi ako ngayon. Malayo kasi banking sa course ko and may offers din ako for MT from companies whose operations are related to my degree program pero mababa offer nila.

Mashimare, try applying to P&G. It's a marketing leader with lots of opportunity to travel abroad, and the pay isn't too bad. :)
Actually if MTs kayo salary should be the least of your concern. Dapat alam ninyo kung saan pumupunta ang mga dati pang MTs. Kung maganda ang pwesto na nila e that means may future.
Of course there are some companies na puro "Management Trainees" which is quite ridiculous - MTs are supposed to be a cut above the regular workers. Either they're working people who've demonstrated their abilities while working, or, they're fresh graduates who are really talented or full of potentials.
If you're either of the two, why look at the 10T now when there's times 10 down the road?

Excuse me, Mr. El Illustrado...JG Summit MT Program pays way higher than 12k you're claiming. That is damn too low my dear, am a former MT of JG and honestly kung yun lang binigay nila for sure di ko tatangapin yung offer. Hint hint, it's definitely not below 16k.
Pero piece of advice to everyone, if you're starting out in your career don't think too much about the salary look after the training and development, which should be more helpful later as you climb the corporate ladder....
Next time, do proper research before you post okay?????

Hi, for pipol inquiring about BPI, OTP ako ng BPI-Insurance Group right now. Im earning more than 20thou. Ang rationale daw kasi e para di na daw magincrease ang suweldo namin if we ever finish th training... so ang mangyayari is insignificant na ang salary increase if we get promoted na. and although a large invesment is placed in the OTP, mas malaki ang kita ng BPI kasi we are supposed to make projects that would save the company at least 500thou a year per person yun ha. e 18 kami, down from 22. Sa BPI BAnking OTP, batch 68 n sila. Nwei, i have a friend sa batch 67, and the average salary for the banking group is 22thou. they receive quarterly bonuses. laki lang **** taxes but they gat a net of around 19-20 thou. Hell nga *** ang training coz exam na namin sa wednesday and im not sure if im going to pass the exam. Accounting part na kasi e. super parang ng BSBAA na ko sa UP sa inaral namin... ang HIRAP. although you get paid high, iiyak ka naman coz you sacrifice your weekends to study... plus may bond pa kami na 200thou. we cant leave the company. Mag-aaral na nga ako mamaya e... so i cant watch the Ateneo Adamson fight live. sa TV na *** while studying WACC and Cost of debt and equity.. i heard batch 68 is composed of 42 pipol.

Brain_D: thanks for correcting me. net pay yata yung 12T o something slightly higher than that. I confirmed from a friend, 17T daw gross sa JG. Pero I heard mataas daw turn-over dyan ng mga MT's.
Coņo Guy: I'm in the Batch 68 of OTP. Kami yata yung pinakamalaking batch - 42 o 43 ata kami (50% internals, 50% externals). Kasisimula lang namin last Monday. Grabe. Dami ng readings and mostly pa dun kelangan ng memorization...mahina pa naman ako dun. Huling huli na nga ako sa readings. Inggit nga ako dun sa mga nasa Sta. Ana dorm. Mga graduates sila ng mga provincial schools like Ateneo de Davao and Silliman. Aside from the free housing, may per diem pa sila na 240.00/day that will be credited to their salaries...kaya parang bawi rin nila yung tax and other deductions.
For those interested in the OTP of BPI, there will be two more batches for 2004. September yung next. Just check the BPI website (www.bpi.com.ph) for details.

To El Ilustrado: kaya mo yan! gud luck sa 1st exam niyo, kakatapos lang nung 2nd exam namin, grabe ang enumeration but panalo yung accounting part namin. Accdg to the estimate of my classmate, 320 items daw ang exam namin, nwei, nsa branch kami but we will be going back to HO for the results on wednesday. I suggest aral ka na ng maaga, as in every night na! kahit breaks, mag-aral ka.
hehehe. Good luck :)

Coņo Guy: Thanks for the piece of advice! Exam na namin on Thursday! Actually, wala pa talaga akong naaaral. Problem ko talaga ang memorization coz business-related yung course ko and I'm used to essays, case analyses and computations rather than enumerations. Basta...mamayang gabi...promise...mag-aaral na ko! *** ba yung Public Ad graduate from UPD?

Guys, anyone know the salary for Unilever, Kraft or Nestle Management Trainee? Do these companies offer good career growth for their MT's? Or are they just like a company full of MT's (as previously mentioned in this thread)?

call centers offer the highest salary for fresh graduates. it has become the standard now. many companies are now being forced to increase their offers, similar to salaries call centers give because other wise the brightest new graduates opt to work for call centers.
